Edited PDF in photoshop and edit text in acrobat

I am trying to edit an existing PDF that has a blue backround and text on it. I think it was made in photoshop. I had to fix a logo on it to so I brought the pdf to photoshop and edited the logo. But now I can't edit the text in acrobat professional! I could before I changed the logo.
Is there something I need to do in photoshop first before I make it a pdf? Or should I just create the text in acrobat professional?
I need to know for work. Reply soon.

Use of the tools is pretty much the same in all versions of the program.
"Edit" is a menu item in Photoshop Elements Editor. Don't you see this?

Please define "editable"? Do you mean "fillable", so that a person can easily type in the blanks? That doesn't seem the right job for Photoshop.

You seem to stop the while loop to run the following code, then the program ends. Are you running this using the "continuous run" button????
You need one big while loop containing the acquisition, then you build up the history data in a shift register. Clicking "save" will save the data, but not stop the loop.
Why did you place a time-control in the FOR loop??? This is just post-processing so it should just do it without any delays. I don't understand the logic in the FOR loop. You are appending arrays, but then you delete the first element at each iteraction constantly trimming data from the beginning of the appended array. Then you autoindex at the output tunnel heavily duplicating all data. Ths make s no sense!
Can you explain how you want you data saved?

Hi,
the subject says it all. I have downloaded the trail version to see if its possible to create a editable pdf with validation(required field) using Adobe Acrobat pro version?
Basically, I will have to create a pdf form where users fill it and send it back to me. there will be required fields (the textbox and check box) that user need to fill before saving the editable pdf?
Is it possible. if so, can someone kind enough to point to me right directions?

Thanks for reply. What I am trying to achieve is to give an option for the user to download the pdf form and once the user tries to save the pdf, it validates with the required field. I managed to create the editable pdf with required fields option. I just need that validation to be done when user click on save file. How can I achieve this? thanks so much for your help.

As already mentionend – editing in Photoshop is bad, because vector graphics are converted into raster graphics.
There are a couple of useful editing features in Acrobat Pro, even in Acrobat 8 Pro, which I'm still using.
For instance:
– Insert, Append, Extract, Replace, Delete Pages.
– Edit text, for instance typos, using the Touch up text tool.
– Edit images by Photoshop, using the Touch up object tool:
Move an image directly to PS, edit there and bring it back directly into the PDF, using the original compression settings.
– Optimize file size.
Altogether one has a couple of chances for last minute corrections, often simpler than going back to the generating program
and extremely helpful, if this program is not or no more available.
Please tell us your special task, then we will see what we can do – not by Photoshop but by Acrobat Pro.

Edited PDF does not contain viewable text in an email. Why?

I am currently using Acrobat Pro 8.0 on a MacBook Pro. I used to be able to edit PDF documents by adding text to them and sending them in an email. Now that I have upgraded my OS to Mavericks, I can't read the edited text in the pdf. Any suggestions?

Stick with Adobe Reader. iBooks will not and cannot display form fields or edited text in a PDF as you have learned. You cannot add text in iBooks either. You can't change that. The built in mail app is also incapable of displaying edited PDF files. Adobe Reader is much more robust and feature rich than iBooks, which I'm sure you have already seen for yourself.
iBooks pales in comparison as a useful PDF tool. i think that you will be much better off using Adobe Reader.

Open Photoshop image from PDF into Photoshop and change cmyk text to 100% black

when I have a supplied PDF file that has cmyk text, I open the image in Photoshop but I don't know how to change the cmyk text (some very small and some large) to 100% Black. I used to know the short cut key to do this but I can't remember. I used to use the marque tool then use a short cut key that would knock the cmy out of the k. Can some one please tell me how I can achieve this in a flattened photoshop file opened from PDF into Photoshop. Thanks

One way to do this:
Use a hue/saturation adjustment layer, click the Colorize box and drag the Lightness slider to -100. The black will go to C:0, M:0 Y:0, K:100. I'm not aware of a shortcut for this, perhaps someone more informed could help there. You would only want to apply it to the text, clipped to a separate text layer ideally, but if your file is already flattened you could apply it via a selection/masking.

I've got a 15 page PDF file that I want to modify very slightly - one of the images needs to be changed. I seem to be able to open the file, but it opens as 15 images.
How do I save the images as a single PDF, like the original?

You should open the PDF in Acrobat Professional and use the touch up
object tool. Open the PDF in Photoshop will raserize everything.

Editing Pdfs with OCR and image in one file.

I have some scanned documents and are at the same time images and pure text and are giving me problems to read in ereaders or computer.
Example of normal text in a PDF: The font is constant and vectorial, fine reading

As you can see I can copy the pure text, but I only see the scanned image wich is bent and I can see text of the original page in the other side
In this other two, the text is not fine, not bent but it is less readable on ereaders and notebooks, it is like a low quality jpg.
How can I delete the images and make a pdf only with the text?

with a LOT of space, and I cant convert again to pdf or epub without the breaklines and having half of the page in white without use.

PDF files opening and closing slowly in Acrobat version 9.5.2.

I am running Acrobat 9.5.2. Last week our server died at work and we converted to a new one. Since then pdf files have been opening and closing very slowly, sometimes taking 15+ seconds to close. Strangely enough, if you open and close several in a row then they usually open and close quickly with some exceptions, but if you wait 10+ seconds and then try to open or close one it takes forever. This happens whether or not the machine is connected to the server.
I tried to do a repair, however it said that it could not connect to the my documents folder at the old server location. When I originally installed Acrobat, it was done through my University and not while I was even connected to my work server, so that is confusing to me. Please help, as I use pdf's constantly and this is really slowing me down.

It doesn't seem like an Acrobat problem per se but a problem with they way your computer is configured to reach the new server. Perhaps you need to have someone come and look at how your computer is configured to reach the new server. It could also be a problem with how the university configured their server. Server issues are something that cannot easily to diagnosed remotely.

Is there MAC way (not PDF) to scan and edit text?

In order to edit text for a scanned document, the text needs to be converted from being an image to actual text after or during the scan process. This is known as OCR - Optical Character Recognition. There is no Apple application that has this. Both Image Capture and Preview only scan the document as an image. So you need an OCR application or an application like Acrobat Pro that has OCR facility. With your edited dislike of Adobe you could look at purchasing Abby Finereader which is very accurate. If you would prefer a free version, then you could try PDF OCR X, which is not as accurate as Finereader but saves you $110.
Note also that some vendors include an OCR function with their scanning application. So depending on what scanner you have, you may have another free option.

Create text editable PDF for client to edit in Adobe Reader

I would like to create a PDF from either Illustrator or InDesign so that my client can edit just the text in the document using Adobe Reader as necessary (for flyers and business cards etc). I want to set the file up in Illustrator or InDesign so all text is laid out properly where I have the proper tools to do so, rather than using the Acrobat form tool and guessing measurement/layout etc. I have tried exporting to PDF from both programs and then using Acrobat Pro's form feature but it won't recognise any of the fields. I am using CS4 and Acrobat Pro 9 and am unsure if my software is too old to complete these tasks or if I am doing it incorrectly. I have seen it done in plenty of places so I know it is possible, I'm just not sure how.

Or, how can I create a file of multiple business cards on the one page where they can have a different employees details on each card?

Using illustrator How do I import a PDF Business Card and Edit

Hi I have a sheet of business card that was saved as a PDF file. I need to be updated with info extract the logo and keep it separate. I want to how to import the PDF file then edit all the images text.

I did this I see a light blue X over the entire image when my cursor is over it. I'm stuck at this initial stage, cause I can't isolate the logo or text for edit. I'm not sure what to do here and I'm not sure if this was done in illustrator.

Edit files in Photoshop and going back to Lightroom

When I right click a photo in Lightroom and say edit in Photoshop, I do the edits needed and then click save but it doesn't take the changes back to Lightroom. We are using Photoshop CC and Lightroom 5. I have never had any trouble with this before so was wondering if there is some setting I need to chanage. I keep having to re import them and then it leaves a white box like it lost the photo in the row at the bottom. Please reply!

In the Library Module go >View >Sort and check <Filename> and <Ascending> or <Descending> whichever you prefer.
