EDL not conforming

I created an EDL in Premier and opened it in SG. After about 10 attempts I finally found the 5 or 6 places you have to change the frame rate - why not just get it from the EDL! Anyway, I go to the desktop and find my files, but SG will not add the reels from the destop automatically or manually. I double checked the help file and tried several times but they will not load. What am I missing?

I was exagerating a little, but after I changed the playback setting and imported the EDL it changed it to 60 again. It took about 4 times importing to finally get the right. I still get a warning message that the frame rate is wrong - even though it is correct. I think the problem may be stemming from the fact that I am trying to conform from files and the reel names are missing. The file names are correct, but I don't think SG is looking at that.
I guess this is a little tough to see, but the DPX sequences are there in the bin and SG doesn't load them. I also get an error "Key not supported in edit 6" when I try to import one of the edls from Premier. Here is the EDL with the error:

  • Possible Bug?  autotype + wsdl2service generates implementation that does not conform to the WSDL

    Hey folks,
    I've got some hand crafted, valid, WS-I compliant WSDL + imported XSD that I've
    been using for awhile now to generate an Apache Axis 1.2 beta Document Literal
    Web Service implementation. I'm now trying to use the same WSDL to generate a
    BEA WL 8.1 SP2 Document Literal Web Service implementation and I'm running into
    problems.
    I've attached the WSDL, XSD, and build script that I'm using to generate the implementation.
    It deploys fine, but notice that the autogenerated WSDL that is returned from
    the deployed BEA Web Service contains two <xs:schema> sections: one for the imported
    WSDL (as expected) and one for several new elements that seem to get substituted
    for the elements used in the orignal WSDL message parts.
    The results of this are two fold:
    1) the autogenerated WSDL appears to be invalid when loaded into both XMLSpy and
    SOAPscope
    2) the SOAP requests to invoke the operations on the service do not conform to
    the hand crafted original WSDL. I've attached examples of both a BEA generated
    SOAP request and an EXPECTED SOAP request.
    I've poured over both the types.xml and the web-services.xml, and I'll be damned
    if I can see the problem. I'm wondering if the way I import schemas and reference
    elements declared therein is somehow not supported by BEA's ant tasks?
    Any advice or pointers at all would be appreciated.

    I don't know if you already now this but if you are using <autotype> to generate
    the types.xml from the XML Schema then you should first
    1) autotype the imported schema first.
    2) Then for the actual achema (that uses the imported xsd) <autotype> but with
    the
    typeMappingFile="importedSchemas/types.xml"
    option set to the types.xml output from 1)
    The types.xml will then contain all types from both Schemas. You can then pass
    this final types.xml from 2) to <source2wsdd> via
    typesInfo="types.xml"
    Any help ?

  • Attachments in Mails from iPad not conform to RFC2046

    Hello Community,
    Mails which were sent from iPad / iPhone and have attachments have the following technical structure:
    Headerfield Content-Type is multipart/alternative;
    --Apple-Mail-6--139698084 / Content-Type: text/plain;
          <Text>
    --Apple-Mail-6--139698084 / Content-Type: multipart/mixed;
          --Apple-Mail-7--139698081 / Content-Type: text/html;
                <Text>
          --Apple-Mail-7--139698081 / Content-Type: application/pdf;
          --Apple-Mail-7--139698081 / Content-Type: text/html;
                <Text>
          --Apple-Mail-7--139698081--
    --Apple-Mail-6--139698084--
    In some receiving Mailapplications the attachment is only displayed in HTML View, not in
    the Text-Only View of the Mail. Therefore the recipient does not see the attached Document
    when he displays the Mail in Text-Only View.
    Therefor I think that AppleMailer is not conform to the RFC2046:
    5.1.4.  Alternative Subtype
    The "multipart/alternative" type is syntactically identical to
    "multipart/mixed", but the semantics are different.  In particular,
    each of the body parts is an "alternative" version of the same
    information.
    What do You think about that ? Is this the right place to discuss this ? If not: Where can I report
    such a Problem ?
    Kind regards,
    dstrict

    If the columns are not sortable, and you can't delete tracks, that would suggest your iPad is automatically syncing with your library. You can manage the content of the iPad in this mode by creating one or more playlists for music that you do want on the device and changing the options on the music tab to include only selected playlists. You can repeat this for other kinds of media. Alternatively on the Summary tab enable the option to Manually manage music and videos.

    Hi,
    I'm not familiar with the tools you described to create the Web Service aboved SAP BAPI's, but i have 2 ideas which you can start with.
    I am part of the team developed the "ESE for .NET" and on the last step of our tool we are using VS API to "Add Web Reference".
    We have noticed 2 ocaasions that might interest you:
    1. Can you please verify that the WSDL contains the "wsdl:binding" part ?
       according to the error message you described you are missing the binding part.
       As you know WSDL of .NET Web Service combined of 5 major sections: "wsdl:types”, "wsdl:message”, "wsdl:portType”, "wsdl:binding" & "wsdl:service".
       .NET proxy generation can't be executed on a WSDL based on a Service Definition only, it must have the "wsdl:binding" part which always comes only with
       the End Points WSDL from SAP services.
    2. Can you send me the WSDL file by email ? [email protected]
    3. Another important issue for Runtime of the Services - SAP Web Service schema is a little different than MS schema, you should look for "parameters" inside the WSDL and change it to "paramter".
    Hope this information will help you,
    Nadav

  • New sequence not conforming to clip settings

    I'm using FCP 6.0.6. I've got some iPhone 3GS video clips (shot with the Super 8 app). When I create a new sequence, and then drag one of the iPhone clips to the sequence, the sequence does not conform to the low res iPhone settings. I've tried setting my FCP prefs to "always" and "ask" for auto conform. Neither is working--when set to ask, it doesn't ask, and when set to always, the sequence doesn't conform.
    Any thoughts? Thanks.

    It would make no sense to enlarge your clips to 1280x720.
    The problem is your original material is not in a standard video size.
    You might try converting it to ProRes422 while leaving the material in the 480x320 size. Make sure you convert the audio to 48khz as well.
    Once converted, create a new sequence and drop one of the newly converted files into it. The timeline sequence should be adjusted to allow for realtime playback.
    Good luck.

  • "Source file does not conform to XML Schema!" error at Import Server

    When I run Import Server the import job stopped with the error "Source file does not conform to XML Schema!" in Log file. I used MDM SP05 Patch01 and HF1.
    Both of 2 Import Server have same problems. Of course it works in Import Manager.
    What do I have to check?

    Hi Eric
    Just confirm this...
    One needs to load XML schema file in MDM and can be done by specifying this file in Port .

  • MacBook Display not conform to german workstation regulations

    Hello all,
    I wanted to replace my old PowerBook G4 with one of the new MacBooks/MacBooks Pro. But one huge obstacle is the display. I want to use my notebook for work.
    German regulations for workstations with computers say that the srceen must be free of reflexions.
    The german regulations are derived from european regulations. So I think that in EU these new MacBooks are not conform with regulations for use on computer workstations.
    An employer in Germany can be fined with up to 25000 EUR when ignoring regulations regarding safety on (computer) workstations.
    I do not think, that it was a clever step to remove the option for the matte display. Employers will think twice before supplying their employees with reflecting screens.

    I preface this by saying I'm not an attorney here in the US, much less licensed to practice law in Germany. That having been said, my understanding of the English translation (the accuracy of which I can't really gauge, given that I don't speak more than a few stock phrases of German) that someone linked to below is this:
    There's an exception made for "'portable' systems not in prolonged use at a workstation" so some computers would be 100% exempt. For those computers that are in use for prolonged periods...
    Just before the section on reflective screens is the requirement that "the screen must swivel and tilt easily and freely to suit the needs of the operator. +It shall be possible to use a separate base for the screen or an adjustable table+" (emphasis mine) which would indicate that, absent the use of an external monitor and/or mouse and keyboard, no laptop would be acceptable as a primary workstation, regardless of the type of screen used.
    As to the issue of the glossyness of the screens of the new MBPs specifically....
    The translation reads "the screen shall be free of reflective glare and reflections +liable to cause discomfort to the user+" and again, the emphasis is mine. The ban, therefore, isn't on glossy or highly reflected screens, only those that would be likely to cause user discomfort. That leaves a ton of wiggle room.
    Beyond which, I keep hearing about sales figures of glossy screens on the previous generation of MBPs heavily surpassing sales of non-glossy screens, and if that is in fact true (I don't have any documentation to link to that supports this, it's purely hearsay), I imagine a strong argument could be made that Apple's displays, while glossy and reflective, are not "liable to cause discomfort to the user." That is, millions of people have chosen glossy screens when they had the non-glossy option, and that could be considered evidence to the fact that their screens don't cause discomfort.
    (This isn't intended to say that they do or don't-- I have no desire to see the matte-vs-glossy debate rear its head right now. It's merely meant to say that before dropping a matte option, Apple likely did a measure of research into consumer preferences and determined that the number of users who found glossy screens to "cause discomfort" was not significant enough to remove a matte option. I may be wrong as to Apple's own research, and there may be equal or more compelling evidence to the contrary. I'm not aware of any scientific study conducted to support either side with respect to matte-vs-glossy on a general basis, much less an Apple-specific study. The statement that there is any evidence that Apple's MBP displays don't cause discomfort is pure conjecture.)
    In short, if employers can get around the "separate base ... or adjustable table" issue, I can't imagine that they can't get around the reflective screens issue, considering that built into the ban is a loophole.
    Again though, I'm not authorized to offer legal advice in any country, so this is a 100% lay opinion. Too, it's an opinion based on a translation so the validity of the opinion is entirely dependent on the accuracy of the translation.

    Using Windows Explorer navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader, then double-click on Eula.exe and accept the license agreement
    Can you open Adobe Reader by itself?  If so, try disabling Protected Mode [Edit | Preferences | Security (Enhanced)].
    It could even be a malware issue; see http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/reader-core-dll-error.html

    Ive checked all I can. Im using JDev to generate web services from an existing class. Other methods work fine, but I dont know how to handle this error.

  • UTL_MAIL.send - 5.1.0 address does not conform to RFC 2821 syntax

    Hi,
    I am trying to get the UTL_MAIL package to run on my instance..
    But unfortunatly all examples fail...
    For example :
    BEGIN
    UTL_MAIL.send(sender => '<[email protected]>',
    recipients => '<[email protected]>',
    cc => '<[email protected]>',
    bcc => '<[email protected]>',
    subject => 'UTL_MAIL Test',
    message => 'If you get this message it worked!');
    END;
    results in following error message :
    ORA-29279: SMTP permanent error: 553 5.7.1 [email protected].. 5.1.0 address does not conform to RFC 2821 syntax
    Adding or removing the by the RFC 2821 required <> around the email addresses does not make any difference...
    I have checked the SMTP log, and in there the email addresses are stated WITHOUT the <> .....
    Somehow i am assuming that UTL_MAIL stripes the <> from the email address before submitting it to the SMTP server....
    Any ideas how to fix or debug ??
    Regards,
    Fred
    P.S. I have been submitting this from the 'SQL Commands' window, might this be the problem ?? If so, how else to test email functionality?

    I got this to work successfully using relaying through comcast.net, port 25, while on the comcast network using the following page process
    -- create the mail
    htmldb_mail.send(
    p_to => '<'||:P1_TO||'>',
    p_from => '<'||:P1_FROM||'>',
    p_body => :P1_BODY,
    p_SUBJ => :P1_SUBJECT);
    -- send the mail
    htmldb_mail.push_queue();

  • Audio not conforming

    Hello,
    I am having a problem with getting some files to conform in CS6. I am running CS6 on Vista. I opened several PPCS5.5 project files and they successfully converted to CS6 without any issues. However when asked to relink the media, when I do so the audio doesn't conform. The files I am trying to conform are AVI files that were shot standard dv ntsc. some have conformed and are playing fine, others will not conform. For the ones that do not conform this is what's happening.
    After I relink the file in the bottom right of PR where you se the yellow status bar, it will say conforming but the status bar will not start. Also the video will be black in the program monitor. After approx 2-5 minutes the status bar will suddenly jump about half way through for a few seconds then disappear as if done. The video then becomes viewable and plays normally however there is no audio. No audio, no peaks, etc. There is a track but it's like PR can't conform the audio or something. Really Confused.
    Codec issue?
    Will sit here doing nothing...
    Then will jump.
    Then no audio, peaks or anything.

    Hunt,
    I did a little more experimenting yesterday and I am scratching my head.
    I have 3 PC's, 1 is a Desktop (custom build...the one I was having the restart issues you guys helped me with last year) with Vista/CS6.
    Another is an older laptop (HP) with Vista/CS4 and the last one is a one year old laptop (HP) with Win7/CS6.
    The PC I was using when I started the thread was the Desktop Vista/CS6 as that is my main workstation. I copied the clip in question to my laptop Vista/CS4 and it imported, conformed, generated the audio waveform and played back the audio with no issues. (I forgot to mention that when I had CS5.5 installed on the Desktop Vista PC before reinstalling the OS and installing CS6 that it also played fine there as well).
    I then copied the clip to my Win7/CS6 PC and I received an error in the Events panel. "File Importer detected an inconsistency in the file structure of Sylvia 01.avi. Reading and writing the files Metadata (XMP) has been disabled."
    On the Vista/CS4 PC the clip info reads as such in the project panel.
    Sylvia 01.avi
    Movie, 720 x 480 (0.9091)
    the duration, 29.97 fps
    48000 Hz  - 16 bit - Stereo
    I then copied the same clip to the Win7/CS6 PC:
    Sylvia 01.avi
    Movie, 720 x 480 (0.9091)
    the duration, 29.97 fps
    32000 Hz  - 16 bit - Stereo
    Note the two different reading in the sample rate.
    It seems as if the CS6 versions can't read the clip correctly? I don't know if there truly is an issue with the file or if it's a codec issue or something. It's weird because the Vista/CS4 PC will play it fine as well as the Windows Media player on all 3 PC's will play it fine.
    Thank you for any assistance.

  • Sequence not conforming to clip settings

    I am struggling trying to set up a sequence for some Sony Ex1 footage. We shot at 720p 60f/s. Using XDcam transfer we now have Quicktime movs with the following details...
    dimensions: 1280 x 720, codecs: XDCAM EX 720p25 (35Mb/s VBR) Integer (Big Endian) Timecode, Original format: MPEG HD
    Is this still a delivery format? When I cant seem to match the sequence to these clips. I have the conform sequence option set to 'ask' but I am not given the option. Am I better off converting to prores HQ or am I missing something blindingly obvious?
    any help appreciated
    cheers Jimmy

    It won't ask to change the sequence settings to a delivery format. It will only change them to an editing format. If you want to edit this footage, you'll have to log and transfer the MPEG HD footage to a FCP friendly format.

  • Sample rate not conforming to project

    I have the box checked in the settings that is supposed to conform the sample rates of audio regions to the project, but it is not converting.
