EEWB - Add fileds in business transaction item

Hi all,
I have added fields in EEWB for the business object SERVICE_CONTRACT and Extension Type PRODUCT_I. It is generated successfully in EEWB, but it does not appear in CRMD_ORDER item tabs.
I noticed that the screen is created in EEWB, where as others (example: Header data) have screen generated.
Is there anything additionally to something for the above business object.
Thanks for yourr help.
Regards,
Ravi

HI Ravi,
I hope after field generation, you have selected the Node and then Push on the Red tyre Button on EEWB to generate the fields.
If you have enetred the field names and then complete, that means that th fields are there in system but to reflect them you need to process them by pushin on Red Tyre button.
Hope this helps

Would you mind tell me what it sht business add-ins and business transaction events ?

    Hi LukeWong ,
    BAdi:
SAP Business Add-Ins (BAdIs) are one of the most important technologies used to adapt SAP software to specific requirements. BAdIs were introduced with Release 4.6 and replace function module exits. This technology is not limited to SAP applications. BAdI calls can be integrated in customer applications. These can then be enhanced by other customer applications. In the various SAP applications, BAdI calls are implemented at places where enhancements are appropriate.Business add-ins are enhancements to the standard version of the system. They can be inserted into the SAP System to accommodate user requirements too specific to be included in the standard delivery. Since specific industries often require special functions, SAP allows you to predefine these points in your software.
As with customer exits, two different views are available:
    · In the definition view, an application programmer defines exit points in a source that allow specific industry sectors, partners, and customers to attach additional coding to standard SAP source code, without having to modify the original object.
    · In the implementation view, the users of Business Add-Ins can customize the logic they need or use a standard solution, if one is available.
In contrast to customer exits, Business Add-Ins no longer assume a two-level infrastructure (SAP and customer solutions), but instead allow for a multi-level system landscape (SAP, country-specific versions, industry solutions, partner, customer, and so on). You can create definitions and implementations of Business Add-Ins at any level of the system landscape.SAP guarantees the upward compatibility of all Business Add-In interfaces. Release upgrades do not affect enhancement calls from within the standard software nor do they affect the validity of call interfaces. You do not have to register Business Add-Ins in SSCR.
The Business Add-In enhancement technique differentiates between enhancements that can only be implemented once and enhancements that can be used actively by any number of customers at the same time. In addition, Business Add-Ins can be defined according to filter values. This allows you to differentiate between Add-In implementations using the filter Country or other criteria.
The enhancement technique is set up in such a way that it is possible to define interfaces for ABAP soure code, screens, GUI interfaces, and tables. These allow customers to include their own enhancements in the standard. A single Business Add-In contains all of the interfaces necessary to implement a specific task.
BADI is just an object-oriented version of user-exit. Instead of entering program code into some function module (as in customer-exit), you define some class which has to implement predefined methods and those methods are fired at predefined points just like an old user-exit. Some BADI can have multiple independent implementations which is much better for software deployment as several developers can implement the same BADI independently. BADI/UserExists are used to enhance R/3 For customer Needs.
Actually there is no transaction to find when and where the BADI
    is called.
    1. You can see the BADI description to find why it is called.
    2. Once you implemented and activated the BADI, put some break points
in the BADI and see "where else used" option to check in what all
programs this BADI is called. In the ITS debug, when you are doing
the operation what exactly the BADI description tells, it will take
to the break points and you have to do manually debug the whole thing.
I know its bit difficult to do manual debug the whole thing, it
takes lot of time, but you have to be very patience when you are
    dealing with BADI's.
Transaction SE18 is the BADI equivalent of transaction SMOD
Transaction SE19 is the BADI equivalent of transaction CMOD .
To find the BADI to be implemented and then implement this via SE19.
These steps should enable you to find any BADI related to any transaction in a matter of minutes.
    Procedure 1:
    1) Go to the transaction SE37 to find your function module.
    2) Locate the function SXV_GET_CLIF_BY_NAME.
    3) Put a breakpoint there.
    4) Now open a new session.
    5) Go to your transaction. 6) At that time, it will stop this function.
    7) Double click on the function field EXIT_NAME.
    8) That will give you name of the BADI that is provided in your transaction.
    Business Add-Ins
    Procedure 2:
    1) Goto se24 (Display class cl_exithandler)
    2) Double click on the method GET_INSTANCE.
    3) Put a break point at Line no.25 (CASE sy-subrc).
    4) Now Execute SAP standard transaction
    5) Press the required button for which you need to write an exit logic, the execution will stop at the break point.
    6) Check the values of variable 'exit_name', it will give you the BADI name called at that time.
    7) This way you will find all the BADIs called on click of any button in any transaction

    Business Transaction Events
Business Transaction Events (Open FI) The Open FI enhancement technique was developed in the Financial Accounting component. Open FI is based upon the following principles: Application developers must define their interface in a function module, an assignment table is read in the accompanying (generated) code, and the customer modules assigned are called dynamically. This technique differentiates between enhancements that are only allowed to have one implementation and enhancements that can call multiple implementations in any sequence desired. Both industry-specific and country-specific enhancements may be defined.
SAP business transaction events are one type of customer enhancements provided by SAP! We can access the business transaction events using FIBF.Next we have to find the process interface for duplicate invoice check!

  • IO Allowed Business Transaction FI Posting

    Dear All,
I am trying to add business transaction FI Posting allowed for the order, can you please guide me where and how I can add that, currently it is showing in red.
I tried through KO02, it is not allowing to add any new business transaction
Thanks in advance for your quick response
    Thanks
    Prakash

    Hi,
Firstly Release the Internal order as explained above.
In case, it is still not allowing FI postings, look at the User defined Status and check whether the existing status is allowing the FI postings are not. If not change the status to another status which allows the FI postings.
    Thanks

  • Copy item text in business transaction

    Hi,
when copying a business transaction, I use function modules read_text and save_text to get the text from the original and save it to the copy. On header level this works fine (text is visible, order still not saved), on item level the copied text is invisible. When I save the copied order, I see both texts on header- and item-level. Does anyone knows how to make it visible also in creation mode on item level?
    Copying (read_text and save_text) is performed in CRM_COPY_BADI/ CUSTOMER_I and CUSTOMER_H.
    Thanks,
    Stefan.

    Sorry, I didn't add the solution :
      CALL FUNCTION 'CRM_TEXT_COPY_121_OW'
        EXPORTING
          iv_header_guid_old = o1
          iv_object_guid_old = o2
          iv_header_guid_new = n1
          iv_object_guid_new = n2.
After saving the text I call above function, then the text is visible.
    Cheers,
    Stefan

  • How to add the business transaction to t-code : CIC0 in win client

    Dear sir,
We use CRM 5.0 . We would like to add business activity tranaction into t-code : CIC0. But I don't know how to do. Please kindlyadvise how to add the business transaction to t-code : CIC0 in win client.
    Thank u and best regards,
    Vimol

    Hello,
For each transaction type (e.g. Sales Order, Business Activity, opportunity, ....) you can maintain in which channel (IC WebClient, IC WinClient, SAPGUI, PCUI, ...) they are allow to be used. Probably the transaction types you want to see in the IC WinClient (= CIC0) are not enabled for this channel, that's why they don't appear in the WinClient (CIC0).
    How to do this?
    SPRO>CRM>Transaction>Basic Settings>Define transaction types
Here, look for the transaction types you want to enable in WinClient. Select the transactiont type and select "Channels" from the left pane. Here, add the channel "IC WinClient" (or something like that, I don't know the exact name anymore, in newer versions this no longer exists).
Save and restart the CIC0, after this the transaction type should be enabled.
    Hope this helps,
    Joost

    Hi,
The customer include CI_FMBL can only be used with FMPEP and not with other transaction like FMBB.
Technically speaking, the structure CI_FMBL must be part of many other interfaces like the one use by BAdI 'FMKU_BUDGET_EVNT'.
In order to add such customer fields in FMPEP, you have to use the BAdI 'FMBW_CUSTOMER'. For instruction, you have to look at the note 1356725 and the instruction of paragraph 30. Please read the instruction and start to do your implementation.
With the BAdI 'FMBW_CUSTOMER', you can use the PBO and PAI for handling the customer fields. There is no other place to populate these customer fields. Do you want to use customer fields in FMPEP? Please check note 1356725 for reference.
I believe this answer your inquiry.
    Best Regards,
    Vanessa Barth.

  • Actions and EEWB (Business Transactions)

    Hi,
I've extended a business transaction (service ticket) with 5 new fields using EEWB.
I'm creating a new action to print out a letter.  I want it to print only if one of the new fields is filled in.
    - The action works fine if I trigger it on a standard field being filled in
    - But when I create a new condition using the new field it doesn't work
    Details
I've created a new condition - it just says that the field must be greater than "1"
This is based on a new container.  The container is based on the database table and filed (structure CRMD_CUSTOMER_H - which is the databse table holding the new data and new field ZZ_PROS_REQ_ED)

    Thanks for the reply AP
    I'll check KZ doc. type
what about other document types and business trans. ?

  • How to add new EEW Business Objects

    Hi guys,
could you please give me a solution how to add new business objects? Following are the SAP Objects that you can Enhance Using EEWB:
    ADS Analytical Data Storage
    BUPA Business Partner
    BUPR Business Partner Relationships
    BUSINESS_ACTIVITY Business Activity
    BUSINESS_TRANSACTION CRM Business Transaction
    CATEGORY_ENHANCEMENT Category Extension
    COMPLAINTS Complaint

    CRM_RPT Resource Planning Tool
    GRANTOR_PROJECT Grantor Project
    INDIVIDUAL_OBJECT Individual Object

    SERVICE_CONFIRMATION Service Completion Confirmation
    SERVICE_CONTRACT Service Contract
    SERVICE_TRANSACTION Service Process
    SOLUTION_DATABASE Solution Database
But, i didn`t find how add it.

    Hi,
To my knowledge adding objects to EEWB is possible by customers, SAP controls which all objects enhancement are possible through EEWB, the objects which you have listed are supported by sap for enhancement via EEWB.
If you are on CRM 7.0 you can use AET which supports more objects that can be enhanced.(AXTREG - transaction for AET supported objects)
    Hope this helps.

  • Business Transaction Events

    Hi,
we use in our system User-Exits and Business Add-In.
Now i found in customizing "Business Transaction Events".
Are these to use like User-Exits or Business Transaction Events?
How can i use this, has anyone some doku?
    Thanks for help.
    Regards, Dieter

    Hi,
The BTEs are user-exits of accounting module and allow to connect additional components (SAP, custom development, or not SAP) to the main processes of accounting in SAP. But it can often use them to insert controls of accounting documents or master data.
For example I often use them to know the document number while it's being created, or to change the data in the reports to display FI items, or to use a smartforms instead of sapscript.
So you can use them in several situations, but if you use them to check the document, you'd use them if you can't to do those controls by validation.
BTEs are kind of enhancements ( Earlier it was in FI only but has since been extended to some of other areas ).
All Functions starting with OPEN_FI_PERFORM* are sample of BTE which you can leverage in your custom function.

  • Business Transaction Screen Configuration

How can I hide / delete extra tabs from Transaction screen....can guru's help me in this topic..
    Thanks in Advance.

    Hi,
You can use Easy Enhancement Work Bench (EEWB).
Easy Enhancement Work Bench - SAP’s tool enables to add custom fields to standard transactions without having to modify SAP code. In a nutshell, the way this works is that SAP allows generating custom objects in predefined containers that are linked to the various transactions.
Transaction EEWB (Easy Enhancement work bench) is used to create the custom Fields in the Custom (new additional custom) Tab for SAP Business Objects. Thus the standard SAP CRM Transactions can be extended using the Easy Enhancement Workbench (EEWB), i.e., an extra tab is added to the View - Transaction Data in CRM Transaction.
During the creation of the project in EEWB, a workbench as well as customizing request is defined. After the creation of project, extension(s) are created. The extension contains the information regarding the business object to be modified and the type of the extension.
Note: In order to extend CRM’s generic business transactions, e.g. orders and opportunities, select object ‘Business Transaction’ and type ‘Add New Fields’. For business partner extensions select object ‘BUPA’, type ‘Add New Fields’.
EEWB uses customizing include (CI) provided by SAP to make extensions easy. These customizing includes are included in the People Centric UI and relevant database tables (For instance CRMD_CUSTOMER_H and BUT000 if Business Transactions - Sales & Service Objects and Business Partner are extended respectively).
The Z Fields added using the Transaction EEWB are appended to the table CRMD_CUSTOMER_H and the entry in the table CRMD_CUSTOMER_H  corresponds to one respective entry in the table CRMD_ORDERADM_H with HEADER_GUID.
    (Relation between two tables: CRMD_ORDERADM_H-GUID = CRMD_CUSTOMER_H-GUID.
    Reward if it helps.

  • BADI for restrict creation of business transaction independently

    Hello Experts,
I have a requirement where I need to check if the Business activity (say any 'Z' transaction) has a opportunity follow-up document then only that business transaction need to be executed else should give the error that "Z transaction need to be created through opportunity only and can not be created individually".
I found one BADI CRM_ORDERADM_H_BADI where I can check for the condition but the issue is that as soon as I entered to CRMD_ORDER this BADI gets triggered where I need to trigger this BADI only when the user is trying to create the 'Z' business transaction individually.
Any Suggestion will be highly appreciated.
Thanks in Advance & Best Regards,
    Deepak Gupta

Deepak, there is a parameter called CRM_MODE and this has the following values depending upon the transaction context:
    A - Create
    B - Change
    C - Display and
    D - Delete
Now, in the same BAdI, since you are restricting the creation of the activity, check the CRM_MODE for the Activity, if it is A, then, call the function module CRM_ORDER_READ with the GUID of the activity and extract only the document flow ET_DOC_FLOW. Check this export table and see if the parent is an opportunity (BUS2000111). If your condition is not met, add an Error message in the transaction.

  • Business transactions

    Hi Experts
    What is business Transaction?
What is the major difference between Copy control and Follow-up Transaction?
Where we are maintain Follow-up transaction in IMG
    Thanks
    Mahi

    Hi Mahi,
Please find the answers to your questions from SAP documentation itself:
    1. The business transaction concept has the following meanings:
    - A business transaction can cover several business cases, for example, sales order and contact.
    - There is a similar interface for processing all types of business transactions. There is a strict split between the user interface and the processing of transactions.
    - Similar functions are available in all types of business transactions.
A business transaction expresses a business interaction with a business partner.
    - The business transaction provides business structures and functions that can be used in various processes of a company, for example, in sales, marketing or service.
    - Depending on the Leading Transaction Category (for example, contact, opportunity, sales, service), a
business transaction has a certain structure.
    Examples
    · Tasks have only a header level.
    · Leads, opportunities and service transactions have a header and item level.
    · Sales transactions additionally have a schedule line level (delivery quantities and delivery dates,
    possibly after an ATP check).
    2. The primary differences between Follow up and Copying the document are:
    a. In Copying, Header and Item level data are automatically copied, whereas in Follw up only header data is copied, and there is an option to copy/not copy the item data
    b. In Copy, the copied transaction also has the same transaction type as the original, however in Follow up any activity can be used as Source and Target transaction types
    c. Further, in copying, the change documents within a transaction are not updated, whereas in follow up, the transaction change documents are also updated.
    3. Copying control can be maintained in Customizing: IMG - Customer Relationship Management - Transactions - Basic Settings - Copying Control for Business Transactions
    Thanks & Regards,
    Nelson.
