EIS unix error.

Hey guys, I'm looking for a little help here with some EIS error codes on unix. I have some jobs set up to run olapicmd with cbs scripts and on most of them I get an error 105 after the LOADDATA command. There is no text describing what happened in the LOADDATA section in the log, its just blank.
I hit the documentation to and found "The complete lists of OLAPICMD return codes (unixrtcd.txt and winrtcd.txt) are located in eis/server/docs on UNIX and eis\server\docs on Windows." however I was unable to find that document.
So my questions are:
1) does anyone know where to find the unixrtcd.txt?
2) does anyone have any help tips on where else the error text might show up?

I have resolved this issue.
I have created new databases and configured with those databases. Created EIS Catalog successfully.

I am having a kind of weird issues with my oracle enterprise db which was perfectly working since 2009. After having had some trouble with my network switch (replaced the switch) the all network came back and all subnet devices are functioning perfect.
This is an NFS for oracle db backup and the oracle is not starting in mount/alter etc.
Here the details of my server:

Trying to start db without mount it starts without issues:
SQL> startup nomount

We have already checked in everywhere in the system, got oracle support as well without success. The control files are in the place and checked with strings, they are correct.
Can somebody give a clue please?

Not sure whether this is the solution, but based on other forum discussion i did the following
1) Restarted the application with "root"
2) brought the application down
3) Again restarted application with the java user
I don't see this issue happening anymore.

"boot: cannot open /kernel/unix" error

Installing solaris 2.6 on Sparc Ultra 5. I currently have 2.8 installed and I want to install 2.6 over top. Using "OK boot cdrom" I get an error on startup stating "boot: cannot open /kernel/unix". I have found the troubling shooting tip but I don't know how to implement it. It says to "Reset the boot file in the PROM to " " (blank)." I do not know how to do this. Any help would be good.

On OK prompt, use printenv command to check current setting. Use command setenv boot-file "" to change the settings on OK prompt.

when a pl/sql procedure is called through unix shell scripting, if the script is errored out due to any reason , i need to capture the error details in another table using unix. it it possible instead of capturing the errores in table level inside the procedure.

You can take care of stderr with the help of
java.lang.Process
public abstract InputStream getErrorStreamIf you do not take care of it and a non-trivial amount of error output is produced, it will block the process. Standard error is not automatically inserted into the standard output. Indeed the standard error channel was invented to avoid the error messages' going unmarkedly into the standard output.
But if you want to, you can redirect stderr into stdout like this:
command1 2>&1 | command2

EIS Load error

Hi. The Member and Data Load goes through, however the olapisvr.log is littered with this error. Have you faced this ? Are you running a user-defined query or using the EIS-generated default SQL query? I found for various reasons that I had to resort to user-defined SQL against SQL Server in order to get my initial test model to load data properly.

are you on itanium or x86? Your log says, "inux_ia32_jrockit_160_14_R27.6.5-32_jdk.zip not found" that means you should have itanium.

Also, there's no TroubleTicket.txt file, as it usually would be - if it is purely related to JSPM.
Since, I am accessing this through VPN, this is mostly DISPLAY variable related error - However, I am using Hummingbird Exceed to access this. and have enabled " X11 Forwarding " option in putty . But, I am not able to find " XAuthority File " for local display ,
which I need to point in Putty < Not, sure if this comes in to play since, I am using Hummingbird exceed 10.
when I do echo $DISPLAY , I do get value of DISPLAY variable. I even tried to execute ...xhost + command as sudo root ..but,
it is giving error and ' xclock ' is also displaying " Error: Can't open display: <ip address of local machine > :0.0 ".
I have earlier used hummingbird exceed through VPN and this issues has not come up. That ' X Authority ' file should be
unix home directory i.e. /home/SIDadm ..but, it is not there, either. So, I can't point the correct loc of it in Putty.
Some other posts regarding same error on winows platform in forum mentions the need of xcopy.exe file in system32 directory ..however this being unix host ( remotely accessing through XP machine ) ..I am not sure how it is works in Unix.
Pl. Share your expertise on this as this is unix and so far I have not found solution pointing to the core problem i.e. why
despite Hummingbird Exceed running in background , this DISPLAY / xclock issue should come in to play ..

Enter prise Manager Oracle 10g Rel 2 ON HP-Unix - Errors

Hi all
I am using Oracle 10g Release 1002000100 on HP-Unix,
When i am trying to login the Enterprise manager it is Throwing the ERROR
java.lang.Exception: UnknownHostException sending request :: testdisc And Enter prise manager page is being Opened
But
when i am clicking the Performance or Administration tabs it is comming to Login page with the Follows Error message
Io exception: The Network Adapter could not establish the connection
cud u any one advise about this Problem

Unix error: Out of pending action buffers...

I was stress testing communications with a PCI card when I recieved the following messages:
unix: Out of pending action buffers at 4182
The messages appeared twice. It was not streaming.
I wasn't able to find it in the AnswerBook. Is this a Streams error (the driver is Streams based)? Does anyone know what this means?

if you select the row by yourself with a mouseclick, pval.row should have the current row!
And i guess in your case, if multiselect is false, you can skip this line of code and get the selected values directly:

Unix error command: 9

Hi,
I've setup a test cluster with Qmaster to evaluate it's potential use in our studio. Maya renders work without a problem but when I try to generate an After Effects render it fails and the Qmaster admin log tells me that:
exception = "Unix command error:9
I've run a command line render using the same remote assets as Qmaster is using and it renders correctly so the assets can at least be seen over the network and the network drive can be written to as well.
Just wondering if anyone has had this error before and if they know what it's referring to.

Here is more info on the issue.
This ASA is acting as DHCP server for users.
Now it is not providing IP to the users.
Also users PC who have IP from ASA i am unable to ping their IP address.
First we thought it was bad cable from patch panel to user.
Then we unplug the failover cable from standby firewall after this i was able to run all the commands and users were
able to get the IP address from the ASA.
Seems it is synch issue between 2 ASA.
After this i put failover cable back to standby and we lost access to primary firewall and our internet was not working.
Then we shutdwon the standby ASA and reboot the Primary ASA then everything was back to normal.
Currently standby ASA is standalone and not connecting to anything.
When i power on the standby ASA all hardware looks ok and is up and running.

BO XI R2 actually does not require ADAM.See this thread: [Windows AD configuration with Linux;.
The short answer is that the secLDAP plugin can connect directly to AD. This probably has a certain patch level requirement (you'll have to verify this with Tech Support).
How are you specifying your LDAP Server Administration Credentials ? i.e. what format? I presume you're using the CN=Business Objects User,CN=Users,DC=xxx,DC=net format.
I get the error you have if I specify the credentials as DomainUser (xxxxBoUser).
I have been trying to configure AD with Linux (RHEL) using the the secLDAP plugin (thus far, unsuccessfully).Please note that I am however on XI3.0. Also note that I still do not have this working (I get a different error).
In any case. it would probably be best to open a ticket with BO regarding this.
