EJB 3.0 and  creating bean .xml files for DataControl

In entity beans I haven't parameter updateble in source for column witch represent Id. I generate Id with TableGenerator strategy.
@TableGenerator(name="TEST_SEQ", initialValue=1, allocationSize=1)
@Column(nullable = false)
@GeneratedValue(strategy=GenerationType.TABLE,generator="TEST_SEQ")
@Id
private Long id;When I create DataControl why some <entity bean>.xml files have IsUpdateable="0" parameter for attribute witch represent Id (primary key) column in entity bean?
<Attribute Name="id" Type="java.lang.Long" IsUpdateable="0"/>In some files this parameter have default value (true), that is it does not show in source!
If I use datacontrol (method findAll for example) with selectOneChoiche component error is:
The selected target attribute has read-only access.Please select an updatable attributeWhen I modify files and after that refresh or create new DataControl I loss my changes in files.

Hi Ric,
This is the test case which describe my problem.
Test entity:
@Entity()
@Table(name="TEST")
@NamedQueries({
    @NamedQuery(name = "Test.findAll", query = "select o from Test o"),
    @NamedQuery(name = "Test.findById ", query = "select o from Testo where o.id = :id")
public class Test extends BaseTest implements Serializable {
    @Id
    @TableGenerator(name="TEST_SEQ", initialValue=1, allocationSize=1)
    @Column(name = "ID", nullable = false)
    @GeneratedValue(strategy=GenerationType.TABLE,generator="TEST_SEQ")
    private Long id;
    private String test;
public String getTest() {
return test;
public String setTest(String param) {
this.test=param;
    public Long getId() {
        return id;
    private void setId(Long id) {
        this.id = id;
   }Base entity:
@MappedSuperclass
public abstract class BaseTest implements Serializable {
    @Column(name = "LASTCHANGE")
    private Timestamp lastChange;
    public MasterEntity() {
    public void setLastChange(Timestamp param) {
      this.lastChange = param;
    public Timestamp getLastChange() {
        return lastChange;
}Main entity:
@Entity()
@Table(name="MAIN")
@NamedQueries({
    @NamedQuery(name = "Test.findAll", query = "select o from Test o"),
    @NamedQuery(name = "Test.findById", query = "select o from Test o where o.id = :id")
public class Main extends BaseTest implements Serializable {
    @Id
    @TableGenerator(name="MAIN_SEQ", initialValue=1, allocationSize=1)
    @Column(name = "ID", nullable = false)
    @GeneratedValue(strategy=GenerationType.TABLE,generator="MAIN_SEQ")
    private Long id;
    @ManyToOne
    @JoinColumn(name = "IDTEST", referencedColumnName="ID")
    private Test test;
    public Long getId() {
        return id;
    private void setId(Long id) {
        this.id = id;
    public Long getTest() {
        return test;
    private void setTest(Test test) {
        this.test = test;
   }The part code of session bean:
public Main findById(Long id){
return em.find(Main.class, id);
}When I create DataControl from this sessionBean, the Test.xml(ENTITY->Test) file is generated.
Test.xml:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
<JavaBean xmlns=" http://xmlns.oracle.com/adfm/beanmodel" version="11.1.1.45.24"
          id="Test" Package="package.test"
          BeanClass="package.test.Test"
          isJavaBased="true">
  <Attribute Name="id" IsUpdateable="0" Type="java.lang.Long"/>
  <ConstructorMethod IsCollection="false" Type="void"
                     id="Test"/>
</JavaBean>Questions:
Why attribute "id" have property isUpdatable="0" ?
I didn't specify "update=false" on my entity 'Test' for that column.
In witch case propery isUpdateble have value "0", "1", "2", "true", "false"?

  • How to create an XML File for Gantt?

    Hi Everybody.
    I need a Gantt in Web Dynpro ABAP. I need it for the boss to do a Forecast for Vacation. I Hope this is understanding.
    Did Anyone know how can i create a XML File for the Gantt at runtime?
    Thanks
    MSi

    Hi Marcus,
    the following link is to the JNet/JGantt developer doco
    [JNet/JGantt Developer Documentation|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/lw/uuid/f010ec31-9658-2910-3c83-c6e62904eceb]
    included in this is the:
    [Schema for XML|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/lw/webdynpro/jnet_jgantt%20developer%20documentation/schema/xml-spy/jnet-schema.html]
    You can use this to build XML to represent a gantt like chart.
    I did this to build XML to represent employee avaliablity - although we fronted the gantt through WD Java not ABAP - the java applet called is the same (I believe).
    Don't underestimate the work required to tweek your data into a decent layout. It took me days.
    There may be tools/api to help generate the XML - I don't know of them - I'd look forward to seeing any other replies to this thread from people who have used/built any.  An example of a class that generates JNet XML - CL_SPI_UI_JNET - but this does not seem to be a Gantt display.
    Cheers,
    Chris

  • Need help Take out the null values from the ResultSet and Create a XML file

    hi,
    I wrote something which connects to Database and gets the ResultSet. From that ResultSet I am creating
    a XML file. IN my program these are the main two classes Frame1 and ResultSetToXML. ResultSetToXML which
    takes ResultSet & Boolean value in its constructor. I am passing the ResultSet and Boolean value
    from Frame1 class. I am passing the boolean value to get the null values from the ResultSet and then add those
    null values to XML File. When i run the program it works alright and adds the null and not null values to
    the file. But when i pass the boolean value to take out the null values it would not take it out and adds
    the null and not null values.
    Please look at the code i am posing. I am showing step by step where its not adding the null values.
    Any help is always appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    OK, so you are writing the file with UTL_FILE. How long is the whole process taking. Have you timed the time taken to generate the temp_clob with the result Vs the time to write the output to a file.

  • SAX: How to create new XML file using SAX parser

    Hi,
    Please anybody help me to create a XML file using the Packages in the 5.0 pack of java. I have successfully created it reading the tag names and values from database using DOM but can i do this using SAX.
    I am successful to read XML using SAX, now i want to create new XML file for some tags and its values using SAX.
    How can i do this ?
    Sachin Kulkarni

    SAX is a parser, not a generator.Well,
    you can use it to create an XML file too. And it will take care of proper encoding, thus being much superior to a normal textwriter:
    See the following code snippet (out is a OutputStream):
    PrintWriter pw = new PrintWriter(out);
          StreamResult streamResult = new StreamResult(pw);
          SAXTransformerFactory tf = (SAXTransformerFactory) TransformerFactory.newInstance();
          //      SAX2.0 ContentHandler.
          TransformerHandler hd = tf.newTransformerHandler();
          Transformer serializer = hd.getTransformer();
          serializer.setOutputProperty(OutputKeys.ENCODING, "UTF-8");//
          serializer.setOutputProperty(OutputKeys.DOCTYPE_SYSTEM,"pdfBookmarks.xsd");
          serializer.setOutputProperty(OutputKeys.DOCTYPE_SYSTEM,"http://schema.inplus.de/pdf/1.0");
          serializer.setOutputProperty(OutputKeys.METHOD,"xml");
          serializer.setOutputProperty(OutputKeys.INDENT, "yes");
          hd.setResult(streamResult);
          hd.startDocument();
          //Get a processing instruction
          hd.processingInstruction("xml-stylesheet","type=\"text/xsl\" href=\"mystyle.xsl\"");
          AttributesImpl atts = new AttributesImpl();
          atts.addAttribute("", "", "someattribute", "CDATA", "test");
          atts.addAttribute("", "", "moreattributes", "CDATA", "test2");
           hd.startElement("", "", "MyTag", atts);
    String curTitle = "Something inside a tag";
              hd.characters(curTitle.toCharArray(), 0, curTitle.length());
        hd.endElement("", "", "MyTag");
          hd.endDocument();
    You are responsible for proper nesting. SAX takes care of encoding.

  • XML file for GigE Vision camera

    Hello,
    I am working on a design of GigE Vision camera. It should be very simple linescan camera. I implemented the whole required GigE Vision register set, can communicate with the camera in MAX. The problem is that I need to creata this XML file for the camera.There is this XML file here:
    http://www.emva.org/cms/upload/Standards/GenICam_Downloads/SFNC_Reference_Version_2_0_0_Schema_1_1.x...
    What should I do with it? My first version of the camera will have 2 funcions: turn it on and turn it off I am bit confused, because the xml file template has lots of functions, that I don't really need. Should I delete them? Or leave inside with default values? What does minimal configuration XML file need?

    Thank you very much! Perhaps I was too concentrated on digging through various documents and missed the important info.
    And one more question: how does NI software build the *.icd file? By reading XML file? Or by reading registers in my camera?
    Both. The XML is processed by the GenApi software component which then translates it to register operations. The XML file thus controls what features are visible based both on the XML file as well as the camera registers (features in the XML may be conditionally available based on the <pIsImplemented< tag). Next, the IMAQdx ICD file contains the subset of features in the XML file that are available and are tagged as <Streamable>, meaning they can be saved to a settings file.

  • Managed bean in both adfc-config.xml and faces-config.xml file

    hi,
    i can see that it's possible to declare managed bean in both adfc-config.xml and faces-config.xml file.
    is there any difference? which one is recommended?
    read here - http://www.jaypillai.com/tag/adf/
    but still not clear.
    thanks.

    Hi.
    As you know ADF is a framework based on JSF.
    In faces-config.xml you define general application manage beans. It offers you define manage beans for all application using JSF default scopes (application, session, request).
    In adfc-config.xml you define general application manage beans using ADF Scopes. It means that you can use JSF default ones including "view, pageFlow and backing".
    My recommendation is use only one point entry for your general manage beans. Use adfc-config.xml because allow you to use more scopes.
    Regards.

    Let us assume you have all the data from the jsp form in an java bean object..
    Now you want a xml file. This can be acheived in 2 ways
    1. Write it into a file using java.io classes. Say you have a class with name
    write("<name>"+obj.getName+</name>);
    bingo you have a flat file with the xml
    2. Use data binding to do the trick
    will recommend JiBx and Castor for the 2nd option

  • Create prov.xml file error 14 or 28

    When I wan’t to create a prov.xml file for Muse to activate computers in the Enterprise I get the 14 error, the comandline I use is:
    adobe_prtk --tool=VolumeSerialize --generate --serial=xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx --leid=Muse-1.0-Win-GM
    Copyright 2012 Adobe Systems Incorporated
    All rights reserved.
    Return Code Code = 14
    When I use the comandline  with provfilepath I get the error 28;
    adobe_prtk.exe --tool=VolumeSerialize --generate -- serial=xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx --leid=Muse-1.0-Win-GM --provfilepath=C:\temp\prov.xml
    Copyright 2012 Adobe Systems Incorporated
    All rights reserved.
    Return Code Code = 28
    What goes wrong, any help would be appreciated
    TIA.
    Harmen

    Hello Harmen, please check the %temp%\oobelib.log after completing your first command. This will reveil more details.
    @Adobe:
    I do get the same error code 14 (and then 19) when running the above command for leid=DesignSuiteStandard-CS6-Win-GM
    del "%temp%\oobelib?.log" /q /s
    %~dp0adobe_prtk --tool=VolumeSerialize --generate --serial=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx --leid=DesignSuiteStandard-CS6-Win-GM --regsuppress=ss --eulasuppress --locales=de_DE --provfilepath=%temp%
    ren "%temp%\oobelib.log" oobelib1.log
    %~dp0adobe_prtk --tool=VolumeSerialize --stream --provfile=%temp%\prov.xml
    ren "%temp%\oobelib.log" oobelib2.log
    Permissions are correctly set for \SLStore and \SLCaches. Prov-File-Path was set to %temp% and is accessible/writable. Scripts were run with elevated privileges.
    In Adobe's damn bad documentation I found a hint that Adobe Application Manager (now Adobe Creative Cloud Client) is required for the VolumeSerialize commands to work* but in my case this didnt change a thing...
    * p.135 http://wwwimages.adobe.com/content/dam/Adobe/en/devnet/creativesuite/pdfs/DE/AdobeApplicat ionManagerEnterpriseEditionDep…
    further reading chapter "Volumenserialisierung des Pakets" Creative Cloud-Hilfe | Verwenden von Adobe Provisioning Toolkit Enterprise Edition
    Adobe advises to catch the %temp%\oobelib.log which includes more information. However make sure to backup this file after each run of adobe_prtk because it gets overwritten :/
    My results:
    - step 1 "generation of prov.xml" ends with OOBELIB: SN validated for AAMEE Mode; stat = 27; Adobe PRTK: Failed to validate the serial number  => Code 14
    - step 2 "activation" ends with "invalid prov.xml" because of step 1 => Code 19
    Once I set provfilepath to c: or c:\ step one quits with return code 28 (sufficient rights are set though). Whenever I omit the provfile-Parameters in step 1 and 2 I still receive return code 14 and 19.
    Btw. another hint: check logs when doing a single command line serialization... For me I get loads of errors and end up with a trial mode and register popup
    adobe_prtk --tool=Serialize --leid=DesignSuiteStandard-CS6-Win-GM --serial=xxxxxxxx [email protected]
    Please help me out

  • How Can I Attach and Link an XML file to a 3D Model in a PDF?

    How Can I Attach and Link an XML file to a 3D Model in a PDF?
    What I am trying to do is find out how to have a 3D model and a parts list linked to it within the PDF file.  I would also like to be able to add to the parts list if at all possible once the pdf has been created.  A template to create future PDF's with the 3D model and list might also be useful.
    I am not entirely sure if this is all possible within a PDF file, but I have viewed a PDF (Adidas Trainer) example which has a Excel file attached to it which links to the 3D model.  I have also had a look at partner products such as Lattice, Tetra4D, Anark, which can do animations and all sorts, but frankly it seems a bit overkill for what I am looking to do.
    Please, any help would be appreciated.  Thanks

    I wrote about it while ago, let me paste the whole thing.
    This example has simple
    buttons which upon click go to new sites and in the same time
    place record in form
    of *.SOL file on user drive. That record is read when you hit
    the next button and
    based on that the button will be selected as the one last
    clicked.
    You could use the very same thing just instead of suppressing
    button simply gotoAndPlay frame
    to continue the part you need.

  • Creating an xml file from recordset

    Hi...
    XML newbie here - so.
    Is it possible to create and xml file from a recordset?
    I need to create a datafeed of our e-commerce products.
    Also, some of the db data contains HTML Code (product
    description field),
    how will this effect the xml file?
    Another problem is that my xml file needs to contain url's
    for the products
    and product images. My ASP pages contain these URL in hard
    code and then
    pull the actual file names from the db
    Hope that makes some sense
    Thanks for any help

    Hi David
    Thanks for your help.
    I think it will have to be option 1 as i am using Access DB.
    I don't know how to go about it but will serach good old
    Google.
    Here is my recordset below, that pulls the required data from
    Access.
    The product and product image URL's need to be in the xml
    file but only the
    product image name and product id are in the database, e.g
    image name
    (imagename.jpg) productid (21)
    The actual URL's are hardcoded in my ASP pages, e.g <img
    src="products/medium/<%=(RSDetails.Fields.Item("Image").Value)%>"
    Not sure if this makes things any clearer :-|
    Thanks Again

  • Create a xml file from an internal table: CALL TRANSFORMATION

  • Creating an xml file from java.

    I trying to create an xml file using a java program. I just wondering what is the best way to go about it and what should i use jdom ,xerces sax etc.

    Use JAXP+SAX.
    Here an example:import java.io.*;
    // SAX classes.
    import org.xml.sax.*;
    import org.xml.sax.helpers.*;
    //JAXP 1.1
    import javax.xml.parsers.*;
    import javax.xml.transform.*;
    import javax.xml.transform.stream.*;
    import javax.xml.transform.sax.*;
    // PrintWriter from a Servlet
    PrintWriter out = response.getWriter();
    StreamResult streamResult = new StreamResult(out);
    SAXTransformerFactory tf = (SAXTransformerFactory) SAXTransformerFactory.newInstance();
    // SAX2.0 ContentHandler.
    TransformerHandler hd = tf.newTransformerHandler();
    Transformer serializer = hd.getTransformer();
    serializer.setOutputProperty(OutputKeys.ENCODING,"ISO-8859-1");
    serializer.setOutputProperty(OutputKeys.DOCTYPE_SYSTEM,"users.dtd");
    serializer.setOutputProperty(OutputKeys.INDENT,"yes");
    hd.setResult(streamResult);
    hd.startDocument();
    AttributesImpl atts = new AttributesImpl();
    // USERS tag.
    hd.startElement("","","USERS",atts);
    // USER tags.
    String[] id = {"PWD122","MX787","A4Q45"};
    String[] type = {"customer","manager","employee"};
    String[] desc = {"Tim@Home","Jack&Moud","John D'o"};
    for (int i=0;i<id.length;i++)
      atts.clear();
      atts.addAttribute("","","ID","CDATA",id);
    atts.addAttribute("","","TYPE","CDATA",type[i]);
    hd.startElement("","","USER",atts);
    hd.characters(desc[i].toCharArray(),0,desc[i].length());
    hd.endElement("","","USER");
    hd.endElement("","","USERS");
    hd.endDocument();
    [i]This xml generation program might be the best solution because it uses JAXP 1.1 so it will work under JDK 1.4 or JDK 1.2/1.3 with XALAN2 library (or any XML library JAXP 1.1 compliant). It's also memory-friendly because it doesn't need DOM.
