Hi all,
Im using jdeveloper 11g. I have this query in my ejb object "select o.field from table o where rownum < 5". When i run my test client i get this error:

Why is rownum not recognized by ejb?
Tnx Pedja it worked!
This is the method im using
public List<String> getFirstFive(String searchPrepix) {
Query query = em.createNamedQuery("Table.getFirstFive");
query.setParameter("searchPrepix", searchPrepix);
query.setMaxResults(5);
return query.getResultList();

Error while running ejbc. Fatal error from EJB Compiler ---- Error while pr
Hi!
I was deploying a test application for a session bean with sun 1 studio 5 and I started getting this message while deploying.
I had tested the bean previously and I had no problems.
I found this in the sun app server 7 release notes, but I don't understand what I'm supposed to do...
"Deployment of CMP beans fails.
The following error is thrown because there are no <query-params> entries in the container-managed persistence (CMP) bean in sun-ejb-jar.xml file:
Error while running ejbc. Fatal error from EJB Compiler ---- Error while processing CMP beans.
Solution
Even if it isn't necessary for the CMP beans, add the query-params tag for finders in the sun-ejb-jar.xml file with the empty parameters."
Here is my sun-ejb-jar.xml file:

Please go to the above docs and look thru the examples given in it.
Example 2
This query returns all products in a specified price range. It defines two query parameters which are the lower and upper bound for the price: double low, double high. The filter compares the query parameters with the price field:
"low < price && price < high"
The finder element of the sun-ejb-jar.xml file would look like this:
<finder>
<method-name>findInRange</method-name>
<query-params>double low, double high</query-params>
<query-filter>low < price && price <
high</query-filter
</finder>
I hope this hepls. In your case u just have to make it null. -
ORABPEL-08033: EJB Transaction Error
Hi
I have a usecase in which procA(sync Service) calling procB (Async Service) and on completion of execution, ProcB gives a non blocking invoke back to procA. Condition: The either of one should be in running state always.
However there are fault situation in ProcB hence to not to break the sequence we have put a catchAll block which handles/logs and then gives the non blocking invoke back to procA.
But when ProcB fails somewhere because of some other partner links, it is safely going into catchAll and handling it well and when it tries to do a non blocking invoke it is resulting in following:
ORABPEL-08033
EJB Transaction Error.
EJB exception happened while invoking the partner. Please verify partner service.
Can somebody give me some leads in this?
TIA
regards
JoyI have setup catch statements, both an catch all in the outermost scope and a catch for remote fault at the scope surrounding the call to the AQ. But that's not the issue. The problem is that BPEL don't get the error. The error stay's at the adapter and the BPEL don't come to a failed state.

[EJB:010142] error for cascade-delete
Hi,
I'm getting [EJB:010142] error (Instance of EJB <relatedEJB> with primary key <pk> does not exist) while trying to implement a straight-forward cascade-delete option in ejb-jar.xml for a one-to-many relationship using EJB 2.1.
While the cascade-delete works well for a one-to-one relationship, it is throwing this error for one-to-many relationship.
DB used is Oracle 10g XE. Server is Weblogic 9.2 MP4.
Given below the exact error:

[EJB:011055]Error deploying the EJB with error that JNDI name already inuse
Hi,
I have written a trivial application consisting of 4 stateless beans and 1 MDB. The ear is developed from some code generator tool and works fine if I directly deploy on weblogic server 812.
But in order to learn Weblogic Workshop I created new Application and EJB project. Then I imported the EJB jar and provided other source files.
From Weblogic Workshop I could generate the ear successfully. But while trying to deploy the ear I get the following exception :

There are two scenarios one of which is working and the other is not. The details are below:
Scenario 1: (Working)
There is an ejb module in the ear (say ModA) which has two session beans (SessionA and SessionB having Remote interfcaes RemoteIntA and RemoteIntB).
There is another ejb module in the ear (say ModB) which has few more session beans.
Now I want to add an ejb which will extend from SessionA.
So, I did following changes:
i. added a remote interface in ModB - RemoteIntPA implements RemoteIntA
ii. added session bean SessionPA extends SessionA implements RemoteIntPA
iii. added ejb related annotations in SessionPA and removed the annotations from SessionA (i.e., SessionA is just a normal class by itself)
Now in the application.xml I declare both modules (ModA and ModB) as ejb modules.
I deploy the application everything works fine.
Scenario 2: (Not Working)
For some reason, I didn't required SessionB in ModA (which was the only ejb bean left in that module as SessionA was converted to normal java class). So I removed SessionB and RemoteIntB.
Now as there are no ejb beans in ModA, I cannot define this as ejb module in application.xml and hence I defined it as java module.
Now if I deploy the same application, I get the exception mentioned above.
I think it has to do with the classpath issue. But how is that the classpath issue is arising when I declaring a module as java and not when I declare it as ejb. I have this module in classpath of ModB. So it doesn't matter what type of module it is.
Am I missing something?
Please help me in this regards.java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: trivnet/service/svams/SVAMService
The JAR with the class trivnet/service/svams/SVAMService is not in the classpath. -

While I'm able to deploy without the CMP 1-1 relationship, the moment I introduce the 1-1 relationship, I get this error. Database used is Oracle 10g XE.
I have been battling this error for more than a day now. Kindly help me fix this.
Thanks in advance!
Regards,
VinodHi,
I was able to figure out the root cause. I was using the primitive data type "int" for primary key and foreign key for one of the beans in the relationship. After I changed it to "Integer" wrapper type, the issue got resolved.

EJB adapter errors are not catched by the composite fault handler
Hi,
I got a serious problem in soa suite 11g ps3 that ejb adapter failures are not catched by the soa suite fault framework.
for example when I do a persist of an entity on a EJB session bean and I dont provide all required fields I get a rollback error when the BPEL component is finished.
Instance ID bpel:142089
The transaction was rolled back. The work performed for bpel instance "142089" was rolled back, but the audit trail has been saved for this instance

Internal Exception: java.sql.SQLIntegrityConstraintViolationException: ORA-01400: cannot insert NULL into ("VSG"."INFORMATIELEVERINGEN"."OUTPUTPRODUCT_TYPE")
what I did is to set idemponent = false on the partnerlink but then the invoke fails instead of the bpel ( same error ) and still no compensate or catch in bpel.
Added the fault policies to the composite and rethrowed the error to BPEL. Still no luck.
But then replaced the EJB adapter with the db adapter which does the same insert as the EJB and I got a nice bpelx:bindingFault which I can catch and handle.
thanksHere is the total error message

I'm getting following error in weblogic server log when starting a JMS Event generator

My WLI8.1.2 is patched with CR131686_812.zip to support event generator for foreign
JMS destinations. The foreign JMS/MQ provider is configured properly. QueueSend/Receive
were tested fine with JMS java code using local JNDI names of foreign JMS objects.
So we know that foreign Queue is active and accessiable from webLogic.
Anyone run into this? Solution?
Thanks,
ScottHi Scott,
I need a transaction from the MDB since I am not using an EJb to pursue the action.
Hence I need to retain the <trans-attribute>Required</trans-attribute> at the
MDB.
Have any answers?

It's resolved.
The MDB automatically created by JMS Event Generator defaults to be deployed
with
“transacted”. That requires the foreign JMS provider to be “XA”.
The deployment descriptor is created as <domain-directory>/WLIJmsEG_<event_gen_name>.jar
e.g. C:\bea812\user_projects\domains\jmsInterop\WLIJmsEG_mqQueueEventGen.jar
Since MQ in the localhost and remote SLUDV18 are not XA-enabled, we had
to manually
change the <container-transaction> section in ejb-jar.xml:
From :
<trans-attribute>Required</trans-attribute>
To:
<trans-attribute>NotSupported</trans-attribute>

Calling EJB causes error in CF Administrator
Hello,
I just moved from CFMX 6.1 Enterprise to 7 Standard and now
I'm having trouble when I invoke an EJB. The EJB returns the
information successfully, but then when I try to access the CF
Administrator, the following error is shown:
Security: The requested template has been denied access to
D:\WebSites\mntwia01\CFIDE\adminapi\administrator. cfc. The
following is the internal exception message: access denied
(java.io.FilePermission
D:\WebSites\mntwia01\CFIDE\adminapi\administrator.cfc execute)
ColdFusion cannot determine the line of the template that caused
this error. This is often caused by an error in the exception
handling subsystem.
The rest of the website works fine, but I need to restart
ColdFusion in order to be ablet to access the administrator again.
The problem happens with every EJB I call, and only since the move
to CF 7.
Thank you for any suggestions,This error seems to happen if you are debugging a function (or any subprogram with OUT parameters) and the debug call block does not assign the function's return value (and/or OUT parameters) to bind variable.
The default call block generated by SQL Developer for debugging a function ends with a statement like:
:v_Return := v_Return;
assigning the return value from the function call to a bind variable.
If you remove this bind variable entirely (say, because you used the "From File" option to load some existing script for calling the function in question), then you get the "Invalid Column Index" error. Presumably SQL Developer expects to be able to get the return value of the function out of a bind variable, so if there is nothing to bind to it gets an error.
Now, there doesn't seem to be any very good reason for this, since as far as I can tell you can't view the return value in any way after completing the debug run (and in fact, in many debug runs you may not even run the function to completion). -
