EL being printer literally and not evaluted.

Hello, I am using EL in some of my pages but instead of it being evaluated it is instead printing literally. Below is my web.xml file

</web-app>I am using tomcat 5.5 and J2EE 5. I can make the EL work if i use <%@ page isELIgnored="false" %>in my pages but I don't want to have to do this in ever page. I have tried explicitly making it available via my web.xml file but it still won't work. The only way it will work is if I use the above line in each page.
Anyone have any ideas what might be the cause?

Tomcat 5.5 is compliant with J2EE1.4 - ie Servlet2.4/JSP2.0
The web.xml you have here is for version 2.5
You will need at least Tomcat6 to support J2EE5 (Servlet2.5/JSP2.1)
Try making your web.xml correspond to the 2.4 and see if it works then.
It should work with standard ${expr} but won't with #{expr}

Thanks.I figured out the issue after lot of debugging. In the destination page i did some mistake, because of that it is not working, Now i fixed it.
Can you please tell how find exactly where the issue is getting raised, bcoz in this case the source page dint had any issue only the destination page.

OMG.....this very tiny hole located next to the headset jack........I suffered for the same issue around 20 days after purchasing my iPhone 4S. Even I visit the apple store too, they suggested to talk with apple online.....just before going to apple, i was reading "iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting" (http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2802) and at the very first line, i found "Make sure that nothing is blocking the top microphone (located next to the headset jack)." and this located next to the headset jack solved the problem completely for sound in vidio as well as sound with calling speaker phone.....Actually, I purchased a plastic cover (like screen protector type) that blocked this small hole (microphone hole i think) and the problem was because of this...I remember on the first day i talk with speacker phone (nothing on iPhone at that time) and it was working...
No need to restore or hard reset anything...i was fearing i'll lost everything if I hard reset my iPhone that took 5-10 to build my iPhone as I like apps, music, vidio on it....

now reconnect to wifi
settings- wifi- click network name- enter password - join
if issue persists back up and restore as new via iTunes

When I select print from Adobe Flash 11.9.900.152, objects are not showing in print preview and not printing on the printer. I have tried to print from both MS Internet Explorer and Google Chrome--neither work.
I am using:
Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pak 1
Internet Explorer 10.0.9200.16618
or
Google Chrome 31.0.1650.57 m

What file format did you use? Some types don't allow for vector content.

InDesign PDF prints greyed and not crisp

InDesign file print solid and crisp but when converted to PDF it is greyed and faded. Created PDF with "Press QUlaity PDF preset" and also tried it through Distiller. Color settings are "North American Prepress 2" in Indesign and U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2 in Acrobat - how do I resolve this?

HP C309g Photosmart Premium Printer - bought new printer cartridges and not printing correctly

I just replaced all 5 of the printer cartridges for the first time today. When I look at the ink levels they are all showing full but when I print it is showing the following:
Photo Black: Shows a Magenta color
Magenta: Shows Magenta
Cyan: Blank
Yellow: Blank
Black: shows black.
I tried taking out and putting in again. Also tried the clean cartridges function. Still not working correctly. Printing only black and magenta.
Please help.

I am having the same problem. The first time it happened, I just unplugged the printer and waited a few seconds and then replugged. It rebooted and work fine for a while. Now it will not scan and the reboot does not work. i have seen other posts about this same problem.

So I don't want to make this long and boring so I'm going straight to the point. I am grandfathered in and I know there are many discussions on here about this but I need serious help. I don't know what to do. Long story short, I went to my local normal Verizon store and asked politely to be on the 12 month payment plan for a new phone. And I stressed I wanted to keep my unlimited data. No problem they said....45 limited later they come back and say sorry, we cannot do that. Doing the payment plan makes you sign a new 2yr contract. I was mad obviously but left politely not knowing any better. But it didn't seem right. So I called the 800 support number and they said there is no reason why they shouldn't have done that for me. The guy said he shouldn't of told me this BuT he told me that reps don't like doing that because they don't get as much If any commission for doing so. So he said they usually come up with a lame excuse like the one they told me. He told me to go right back in there and tell them that yes they are able to do that. So I did. I got a different rep and he was acting weird about it. Get this... I told him my situation and gave him a puzzled look when he explained he doesn't know what he can do, HE said "what's that condescending look for?" I justccan't believe he said that how unprofessional of him to call me, a customer or ten years condescending. I was astonished. But that's not even my point. He didn't know what todo so called the manager over and she claims to have spoke with the "president" and "CEO" of their Verizon in north east ohio, this was a wooster Ohio Verizon. And claims that they don't allow that and what I was originally told by the rep is true. That is changes the contract going on a payment plan the 12 month one not the edge. I told her what the 800 number has told me and she said they are wrong. PLEASE HELP ME :( AGAIN, I was not rude or anything at all with them. They treated me like garbage because I want to keep my unlimited data. How can I do this? Can I go to another Verizon perhaps In Ashland Ohio and do the payment plan and keep my data? Sorry for the long question but any help would be TREMENDOUSLY appreciated. I am in wooster Ohio btw

I want to start off by saying, I am truly sorry for the way that you have been treated at that the store location. This is by no means how we run a business. I can assure you that if you do the Device Payment Plan http://vz.to/ZILXBT that is for 12 months that you are able to keep the unlimited data plan. You can always go to the store location on Commerce Pky in Ashland, OH. That is a direct store location and they should be able to get you set up with out any kind of issues. Ipod freezing itunes when being plugged in and not recognised

hi,
can anyone help me... i have an 30gb ipod and have tried everything to get it working with itunes. It works fine with others computers but with mine it just freezes itunes. As soon as i plug my pod in it freezes itunes. Sometimes if i'm lucky it starts to update it but then after 5 minutes it freezes itunes again. I have tried the 5 r's. I have installed the latest SMTP driver for xp. I have tried everything that apple have suggested on there sopport pages and nothing has helped. I have even reformatted my laptop just to get it to work but no luck.
If someone could please help me it would be much appreiated. It was a christmas present from someone close to me and don't wanna give up on it because have all ready spent many late nights on it.

I get exactly what your describing and I noticed we are using the same laptop!!
I did not notice originally as I've got an old 40gb click wheel, about 3/4 years old. The battery is not great so assumed it may have been that but even fully charged I'm getting no luck.
I also followed the 5 r's and all the other suggestions for Ipod in My compute but not in itunes but nothing has worked. I cannot get my laptop to recognised my ipod via Itunes but it see's it fine via My Computer.
Both the Ipod and Itunes work fine without each other, Ipod plays songs fine etc and Itunes downloads music from cd etc and still performs all the usual functions but nothing else works.
I'm desperate for help as I run every day and buy a new cd each week and at this rate I'm going to have to dig out my old CD player!
Also just a point of note I looked the price to get my Ipod serviced as I figured this may help but the price quoted from apple was £160+...you can get a new 30gb for less...talk about customer explotation!!

This had worked before but one day a note showed up at the screen saying:
If i choose yes the project becomes one big clip and if i choose no this error shows up:
and the project wont be imported.
Help me please! This has never been a problem before.

I cant click and drag my photostream photos to pin them to my desk top with out them being very small and not being able to make notes in paint brush on them. I used to before the update.

I used to be able to open, click and drag photos from a photo stream folder, and pin them to my desk top. After the update my PC made me download icloud to my computer to access my photo stream pictures. Now if I go into my icloud photostream tab click and drag. It asks me if I trust the computer I am saving it to. If I click yes, it save this tiny picture to my desk top.
In order to accomplish what I need to do with the photos I have a few extra steps added to my perfect process. Has any body ran into this and do you know how to simplify this.

From the application used to print open the print dialog and click Oroperties or Preferences to access the Printing Preferences screen.
From the Layout tab set Page Order as Back to Front, then the first page will be printed first.

Printer driver is not compatible with Vista

The software with my hp psc 1210 printer is incompatable with my new laptop with a Vista operating system. Loading this screws up my laptop shut down! How can I find a driver to download which suits Vista?

and why you post this here in forum for Toshiba notebook if your printer is not even a Toshiba product?
The driver for printer should be requested from the printer manufacturer and not from notebook/computer manufacturer.
I assume this is an older printer and the drivers were compatible only with Win XP and older.
So contact the printer manufacturer to get the drivers for Vista or Win 7
