EM Configuration issue. /u01/.../node01_node01 not found

Hi,
am new to troubleshooting enterprise manager. twas working perfectly before. http://192.168.50.161:1158/em.
now it is not working and when I checked via the console: $ emctl --help it returns:
EM Configuration issue. /u01/app/oracle/product/11.1.0/db_1/node01_node01 not found.
any tips on how to fix this problem?
please help.
thanks.

I resolved the issue by creating soft links to the directory...
Let's say your original hostname was as01.corp.purisma.com, and your new hostname is as01. My SID is as01 in this example.
So, you need to change it in two places:
If your ORACLE_HOME is /d0/oracle/product/10.2.0/db_1, then:
Under: /d0/oracle/product/10.2.0/db_1
ln -s as01.corp.purisma.com_as01 as01_as01
Under: /d0/oracle/product/10.2.0/db_1/oc4j/j2ee
ln -s OC4J_DBConsole_as01.corp.purisma.com_as01 OC4J_DBConsole_as01_as01
I was then able to start the enterprise manager by issuing the standard 'emctl start dbconsole' command.

    Hello All,
    The deployment of my adf app. is failing with the following error. Although till yesterday also, it was failing but atleast it was going much farther than this. What is causing this error? I did make changes to config.xml but then restored it. Any help is appreciated. This is critical.

    I did some more research and found out that method loadURLs of class MetaInfFacesConfigResourceProvider.java is throwing IOException. Is this some kind of class path issue? Please help!

    I did a couple of things ( gathered from various posts on OTN). I am not sure which one did the trick but the error is gone now. I am mentioning the steps that I took. Later when I have more time, I will narrow down to exactly what worked.
    1. The following was missing from my web.xml (Thanks Rene!) Added it
    <listener>
    <listener-class>com.sun.faces.config.ConfigureListener</listener-class>
    </listener>
    2. Removed any mention of 'Anonymous-User' from Jazn-data.xml.
    Application tab -> Secure -> Configure ADF Security -> Jazn-data.xml (source tab and removed block of code referring to anonymous user)
    Hope this will help others.

  • Error:configuration with name 'default' not found.

    Hi all. I am fairly new to android programming. I am trying to use the CreativeSDK, specifically the image editing portion. I have been trying to follow the steps at the following link: Adobe Creative SDK
    I first edit my settings.gradle file and then sync... This works with no error.
    I then go on to edit my build.gradle (making sure i edit the modular file). After editing it, I get prompted with "sync project," to which I accept. I then get the following error:
    "error:configuration with name 'default' not found."
    May someone please guide me or tell me what I should do or what I should read.
    Thank you for your time.

  • EM Configuration issue. /u01/.../db_1/node01_node01 Not Found...

    Hi,
    I am having this problem starting Enterprise Manager in 11g RAC.
    I noticed that node01_node01 folder is non-existent but node01_cluster1 does.
    Please Help.
    Thanks.

    EM used to run smoothly until I decided to test the availability of the RAC. I turned off one of the nodes, then turned it on again.
    After the testing EM wont start. It returns the EM Configuration Issue.
    Had it been a problem with /etc/hosts entries, it would have been impossible to setup the RAC 11g.

  • JBO 33001 - Configuration file bc4j.xcfg not found

    I am facing the below issue in a standalone deployment while trying to open a particular UI:
    "JBO-33001: Configuration file
    /oracle/apps/scm/receiptAccounting/accrualClearing/adjustAccruals/uiModel/applicationModule/common/bc4j.xcfg is not found in the classpath."
    Local deployment through integrated WLS works fine.
    Above file bc4j.xcfg is present at the correct location(as mentioned in the error) in classes folder. Also, below conditions are satisfied which could have been the possible causes:
    1.) BC4J data control entry in DataBindings.cpx is correct.
    2.) Dependencies from UI to Model project are proper.
    The issue could be because the libraries present on the server are not in sync with the jdev version and could have been there due to jdev version migration.
    Any pointers on how to resolve the above problem will be greatly helpful.

    The issue could be because the libraries present on the server are not in sync with the jdev version and could have been there due to jdev version migration. Have you checked this?
    Does your wls use the right adf runtime for hte jdev version you used to build the application?

  • JUNIT test failure-Configuration file bc4j.xcfg not found in the classpath

    Hi All,
    As part of an ESS project,Im having a model project containing a VO(parameters VO).This VO is configured to have Read-only access through SQL query and have only one transient attribute each.For the model projects containing the VO for pre merge checker compliance I had to create JUNIT Test projects containing new AMs for testing the parametersVO. While running the JUNIT tests I got an exception like
    “oracle.jbo.JboException: JBO-29000: Unexpected exception caught: oracle.jbo.ConfigException, msg=JBO-33001: Configuration file /oracle/apps/hcm/goals/core/dataMigration/publicEssModel/test/applicationModule/common/bc4j.xcfg is not found in the classpath.”.—even though this file is contained in both the src/classes folder of the project.
    When i try to run the TestAM I'm getting an exception like 'configuration tester.xcfg not found in the calsspath.
    While debugging this error, we found that we are able to successfully run the JUNIT tests if we make some changes in the adf-config.xml file of the Application. The change required is to comment out the mdsC:adf-mds-config tag in the xml file.
    After doing this change Im also able to run my AM without any exception.
    Is this a known issue?.
    Since modifying the adf-config.xml is not a recommended practice is there any workaround that we can get rid of this exception.
    Regards,
    Ajin.

    Just checked but could only find this thread Unable to run ADFBC JUNIT Test Classes with JDEV11G 11.1.1.6
    As it's also dealing with junit and 11.1.1.6.0 you might want to read it.

  • Configuration file bc4j.xcfg not found in the classpath.

    When i try to run an application that uses ADF BC i get an error telling me the bc4j.xcfg was not found.
    When i open my AppModule and click the bc4j.xcfg link it opens. When i look at the path it stored in, it is different from the path the error says.
    It's something like this:
    Configuration file /be/something/model/common/bc4j.xcfg is not found in the classpath
    but my appModule opens the bc4j.xcfg in a different folder:
    /be/something/utility/common/bc4j.xcfg
    It's a fact i modified the project and managed the packages a bit but i always used the refactor menu of jdeveloper in order to move or rename files.
    It appears that something has failed while moving/changing name.
    I looked inside my project to look for references for bc4j.xcfg but i can't find any so i can't see were to change the directory he needs to look for the bc4j file.
    How do i fix my project?

  • Test Configuration Tool: Sender Agreement Not Found

    Hi, All:
    We have new XI3.0 setup and I just want to test simple file to file scenario, but the file was picked up by sender file adapter, however, there is no message sent to Integration server.
    When I use Test Configuration Tool, the sender agreement is green, however, it also mention Sender Agreement Not Found, see below:
    ================================================
    Sender Agreement
    ================================================
    futhermore, Interface Mapping is not found either. Actually, Interface has been created on IR. Sender Agreement also created in ID.
    Anyone who has idea about these two errors ?
    Thanks in advance
    Liang

    Hi, Raj and Srinivas:
    Thanks for your reply.
    First of all, all the objects are activated,  secondly, when create sender agreement, I just need to input the Sender Service Name / Sender Interface / Sender Interface Namespace. Then finally select commnication channel.
    For any Receiver sides, they are grey out, I am not able to input anything.
    So, there is no "*" in any fields.
    I doubt if there is any setup wrong, especially for adapter engine, maybe some modules that are not functional for file adapter engine, since I also see other problems,  I might post them as separate thread.
    In Adapter monitor page, I did not see the adapter.
    In RWB, if I use IE, there is Error in the page, using Firefox, it is OK.
    Thanks And Regards !

  • How to resolve ora issue-parent key not found!

    Hi,
    Once the import is done,when i tried to enable the constraints,am getting ORA-02298: cannot validate (%s.%s) - parent keys not found for some of the constraints,i had already raised a new thread,but when i tried to resolve this issue based on the solution provided there,i couldn't....
    http://www.shutdownabort.com/errors/ORA-02298.php
    i have tried in so many ways-
    -reimporting the parent table alone.
    -fresh export of all tables with option consistent=y
    but the records are matching between source and target tables.

    based on this issue,is there any simple query to findout the missing records in parent table,i don't have access for child_table,parent_table views.
    FYI- am using traditional imp/exp command to accomplish data import and export activities,i tried with the following query,but not getting any output
    select 'select '||cc.column_name-

    can anyone suggest to fix it using some other option.

  • IPod Sycn issue - Required files not found

    My iPod has been running well for a year and a half up until the last month. I have two Libraries which make up my music collection, my main Library on my PC running Windows XP of about 11 Gigs and about a Gig on my Laptop running on Vista.
    When adding music onto my iPod - 30Gig video, 4th Generation, I think - I receive a message, saying iPod "could not be synced. Required file not found." After this, my iPod stayed froze until I let the battery run down, then I restored it.
    I took it into the Apple store and the guy said the problem was either a faulty USB cable or a bad song file. I knew it wasn't the USB, and it has proven not to be since, as it works fine on both comps still. I thought I found the file, one the iPod froze up on syncing a while on the laptop. Got rid of it, seemed fine.
    Until last week. My music collection has been getting bigger and I think I've hit a wall. I'll load my 11.5 Gigs from my PC, then I'll be able to load about a Gig onto my iPod from the Laptop and it'll freeze. It's not one specific file, it's frozen on a number of different files. I do the upload on the laptop last because for some reason it hates to Restore the iPod (unresponsive, not freezing but iTunes stops working).
    I can't figure it out, is this a software issue or is it some hardware problem I can't fix?

    Hey, I've been fighting with my iPod for the last two hours with the same REQUIRED FILE NOT FOUND error. I found little help on here. Finally, I decided to connect the iPod USB cable to another USB port on my machine... is synchronizing like new... actually, it is finished. No error.
    So, maybe try a different USB port. Can't hurt.
    Cheers.

  • How To Configure JRun Classpath--Servlets Not Found

    How do I get JRun to pick up my classes in Unix? I have a WAR
    application that works fine in Windows on a local copy of JRun4. If
    I deploy it to Unix (making sure I haven't introduced any issues
    such as ^M characters, of course), I find that my JSPs can be
    picked up but the first time I attempt to access a servlet, it
    turns up not found. The Servlet .class file is located in the
    correct package in the WEB-INF/classes/ directory. Although I
    should have been able to access it by mapping the URL in the
    web.xml (which doesn't work even on the Windows copy, subject of
    another question), even when I give the explicit name of the
    servlet, i.e. /servlet/com.myco.myservlet.MyServlet, it is not
    found.
    Please explain to me what I have to do to permit my Servlets
    to be picked up. I have tried putting an explicit classpath in the
    startup script, i.e.: -cp
    ./.../servers/default/mywar/WEB-INF/classes/ but it does not make a
    whit of difference. What gives? What must I do so that my classes
    are picked up?
    Thank you.

    Hi, Guenther:
    You can use <error-page> element of web.xml. Add an element to your web.xml like
    <error-page>
    <error-code>404</error-code>
    <location>/404.jsp</location>
    </error-page>
    or
    <error-page>
    <exception-type>java.io.IOException</exception-type>
    <location>/myException.html</location>
    </error-page>
    Both of them work when I try 10.1.2. This mechanism is a j2ee standard. You might want to search the web for "error-page" and "web.xml" or look at the j2ee specfication. Hope this helps you.

  • Oracle TopLink Object-to-XML - issue JAXBException: Provider not found...

    Env:
    OS:XP
    Java dev env: JDev 10.1.2 production
    Toplink Workbench - 10g Developer Preview 3 (10.1.3.0) build 041116
    I am attempting to use the toplink object to xml functionality through carefully following the tutorial titled Oracle TopLink Object-to-XML on OTN (link: http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/ias/toplink/preview/10.1.3dp3/howto/ox/index.htm)
    The first 11 steps are nice and clear and very easy to follow. However, when I hit 12 I run into problems. I believe I have done all I am required to do.
    My demo test code falls over on the attempting to create the JAXB context:
    JAXBContext jaxbContext = JAXBContext.newInstance("examples.ox.model");
    The exception I get is:
    javax.xml.bind.JAXBException: Provider oracle.toplink.ox.jaxb.JAXBContextFactory not found
    - with linked exception:
    [java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: oracle.toplink.ox.jaxb.JAXBContextFactory ]
    The code is capable of loading the jaxb.properties file, and has toplink.jar in the classpath. I am able to create a is located JAXBContextFactory prior to calling the new instance logic, illustrating that the class is in the classpath.
    Using google I have seen it mentioned that the newInstance call could be making use of a different JVM to the Application (https://jaxb.dev.java.net/faq/#classloader) hence may not be able to pick up the JAXBContextFactory class. I have attempted to follow their advice of passing in a class loader - but this makes no difference.
    I.E. JAXBContext jaxbContext = JAXBContext.newInstance("examples.ox.model", this.getClass().getClassLoader());
    Does anyone recognise this issue and have a solution.
    Here is my code:
    try
    File file = new File("D:\\Toplink\\demo\\Customer-data.xml");
    JAXBContext jaxbContext = JAXBContext.newInstance("examples.ox.model);
    Unmarshaller unmarshaller = jaxbContext.createUnmarshaller();
    Customer customer = (Customer) unmarshaller.unmarshal(file);
    System.out.println(" customer.getFirstName() : "+customer.getFirstName());
    catch(Exception e)
    System.out.println("Error: "+ e.toString());
    As mentioned earlier it falls over on JAXBContext.newInstance("examples.ox.model);
    cheers

  • Firewire issue--Backup drive not found w/Time Machine after imac sleeps

    I've had a lot of problems with Time Machine on my G4 imac since starting to use it a month ago. I think I have isolated the problem:
    Time Machine functions properly while the computer is in use, and it has no problem after a restart or shut down, but if the computer goes to sleep and then TM runs its hourly backup, I get an error that it cannot find the Backup Drive. Once this happens, TM will no longer work until I've deselected the drive in TM, unplugged it, plugged it in again, and reselected the drive as the backup Drive. Sometimes this requires a shut down or restart too.
    Here's what I've tried:
    1. connected the drive via USB--it operated without a problem
    2. unplugged all devices from the computer, shut down, waited, 20 mins, restrted, plugged the external drive back in via Firewire--the problem persists as described above.
    3. deleted the TimeMachine.plist file, restarted--problem persists.
    I've read that the Firewire port can be reset with other procedures such as zapping the PRAM or updating the firmware. I've also read that new problems can arise after reseting the PRAM so I'm hesitant to do this. Can anyone shed some light on the PRAM option?
    I cannot find where the firmware updates are located on the mac site. Could someone point me in the right direction? I've looked under downloads and after searching, came up with a long list, but nothing was labeled clearly. Each listing mentioned firmware in the header, but it seemed to always pertain to a certain issue (eg. superdrive, or installing appleworks). I could not tell what was the most recent firmware released for my machine, and I fear installing something retrograde that will create new problems.
    If anyone has any thoughts on how to deal with the firewire problem, or if you think my issue with using a FW connected drive with Time Machine might be rooted with something else, please comment.
    Thanks!

    It's possible a heavy-duty 3rd-party disk repair app can fix it, but they're expensive (DiskWarrior is about $100), and there's no guarantee it can do it.
    Am prompted to reformat but I don't have a good understanding of what this means and how to do it.
    That will erase it.  See Time Machine - Frequently Asked Question #5.
    It sounds very much like the disk is beginning to fail, although it's possible there's a bad port, cable, connection or power supply (if it has its own).
    I'd suggest getting a new one, and using it for your Time Machine backups; once you have a good backup there, reformat the old one (and select Security Options to write zeros to the whole drive -- if that fails, you know the drive is toast).  Use it for secondary backups, per FAQ #27.   If it has failed, get a second new one for secondary backups.
