Email account suspension message

I have recently noticed the message on my email account saying that as I havnt logged for a long time the mailbox will be suspended. how do i stop this as i tend to use my ipad to get emails but I have also logged in the conventional way and the message does not go away.
having read some other posts it seems that it could be because i have changed my primary email address due to it being hacked almost monthly even after changing passwords
can someone tell me how to sort this

Hi there. 20/FEB/2015. 09.30AM
When I accessed "Manage Your Email Addresses", I noticed a pending "Account Suspension Message", on both my email addresses.
It mirrors a previous issue, in the same style as the following link:-
https://community.bt.com/t5/Email/Account-suspension-error-message/td-p/1416915
Is this an error, and is being worked on. I use both the email addresses every day, and receive email on both addresses.
If anyone can shed some light on this situation, it would be appreciated.
Best regards. COMPANY-PENSIONER.

  • Account Suspension Message : Déjà vu ?

    20/June/2015. Hi there.
While checking my email settings. I came across the following anomaly.
I use both my email addresses everyday, and I don't see why the "suspension" flag has materialised.
It's not the first time this has happen:-

I'm going to use the "Contact Form" to report the issue, again.

Same problem back with my account. I guess BT haven't managed to fix this despite it being reported to them numerous times.
    Hi gg30340.
From your post. What happens on the last day. Are your addresses suspended, or does the false display continue ?

  • Message folder and each individual email account with messages? What's the point?

I am a new blackberry 8330 owner and am trying to navigate around it.  I did set up my yahoo email along with my AT&T email.  I see the icons for each of those accounts on the screen with all the icons, each shown as a separate email account.  So why, when I click on my "message" icon, do I get all emails from both thoses accounts?  Seems to be a bit redundant to me to have icons for each email and then the "message" area where they all show up. (And I do have the separate SMS icon and I do know that's for text messages.)  Anyway, there has to be a reason for all the messages coming to that one spot.  Any help, anyone?
Also, is there a way I can give those email accounts passwords so if someone were to have to pick up my phone they couldn't read my emails?  I really don't want to have to lock my phone or have to sign on to my phone everytime I want to use it, just passwords for those accounts.
    Thanks.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Thanks so much.  Great idea re the folder.  All those unused apps just get in the way, so it's nice to have them in a folder.
I can tell I have a long way to go regarding learning how to use ALL the features of this 8330, but I'm going to try.  Why have this great smartphone if I don't use it to the best of its ability.
My next issue is figuring out why the transfer of my Palm Treo info to the Blackberry didn't work correctly.  I did download Companion Link and got the majority of the info transferred, but every time I go to sync using the desktop manager (newest version), there are about 7 additions or deletions of info that just won't sync.  Gives me an error message.  After wrestling with this new 8330 ALL day long Sat, I finally said forget it.  But I do want to get it where it will sync all my info and not give me an error message every time.
Also, when I did get it to sync, I noticed it didn't sync any of my info in the calendar that was prior to Saturday.  I have lots of info on my Palm Treo from past years that I want to keep.  Any idea how I can get it to sync present and past info from my Palm Treo?
    Thanks so much.

  • Removing an email account nokia messaging

    Hi,
I just wanted to share how I solved an issue with my E72 as another friend had a similar issue.
I setup my gmail account and it was a breeze setting it up and it was working properly (except when NM was down). BTW I use Roadsync for Exchange mails. My wife  wanted to check her email so I tried to add another mailbox with her credentials but NM refused to recognise it. I did a browser cache clear and then a restart. Post that I started getting all my wifes mails but not mine. Post that however many times I removed the mailbox and set it up again with my credentials I would only get my wifes mailbox. Not fun.
I logged into email.nokia.com and saw the setting - it had my name but all the folders from my wife mailbox. Looks like NM has an issue with its cache clearing (?). Anyway remove the mailbox at email.nokia.com and set mine again and presto it started working again.
Lesson learnt - the setup on the device is very spotty when it comes to changing setting so use email.nokia.com , remove the mailbox and set it up again.

You have been lucky, usually it ends up by a full hard reset plus cleanup of all Nokia Messaging setups on Nokia's site...
    Very lucky!

  • Attempting to add new email account to Messages - not receiving confirmation email

I am attempting to add a new email accoutn to my iMessages "You can be reached for messages at".  It adds, and says that it has sent a confirmation email, but the email never arrives.
It doesn not end up in Junk, and it is not being caught my my mail server's SPAM filter - I whitelisted apple.com/me.com/icloud.com just in case.
This has been going on for months - any ideas?

    HI,
So this is an Apple ID issued by iCloud that end either @me.com or @icloud.com
I also take it that this account/email/Apple ID has been Verified on the Apple ID web site ?
It seems it was possible to convert a MobileMe @me.com email/ID into an iCloud one without going through a verification process.
This is turn maybe because of having an @mac.com name form the .Mac service days that was linked to a MobileMe ID at the MobileMe/.Mac service change over.
If on the other hand you have an @me.com Apple ID from the MobileMe era but have not linked it to an iCloud "registration" it is possible it works and an Apple ID but not as an email  (although your post seems to suggest you are using a valid email.)
There have been cases where the Apple ID in questions works as an email, as a Login here to post, an iTunes ID and allows access to the App store but will  not work in Messages of FaceTime.
This group seems to be subdivided in to two sub groups:-
    1) Those that get a pop up alert from Messages saying "Contact Support"
    2) Those that see nothing.  (this seems to be a newer response from the app)
I would go to the Apple ID site and follow the Manage ID options.
If everything appears to be in order there I would use iTunes and the Help > Support item at the bottom of the iTunes Store page and follow the links to Contact and Manage account until you get the email link.

  • Only 1 email account receiving messages

I have three different e-mail accounts set up. I have contacted my provider and they say it is something on Apples end. I recieve messages in the one account just fine, the other two nothing is coming in???
    Mail version is 2.1
Anyone else having problems??? Anyone have any suggestions?

    You’re welcome.
no harm in asking if anyone else has had this issue, or is there?
No, there isn’t any harm, nor is that what you asked either. You asked whether anyone else is having problems, not whether anyone else has had the same problem as you...
    These forums get so full
Exactly. That’s precisely why asking “Anyone else having problems?” seemed so pointless to me...
My system is ovisously checking for mail fine since I get it in one account.
Sorry, but if you read my first post again, you’ll see that this isn’t obvious at all, and that there are at least two circumstances under which Mail could be checking for mail on one account but not the others, namely if the other accounts are offline for some reason or if Include when automatically checking for new mail is OFF, none of which you mentioned in your first post...
I have an airport card installed. That should be first correct?
    then the Built-in Ethernet?
If AirPort is what you use to connect to Internet, then yes, that’s how it should be.
*Go Online* is grayed out that would mean it is enabled correct?
Yes, it means all the accounts are already online.
Like I stated I contacted my provider and we went over all this so unless
it is something the average joe at an internet provider does not know
    about it has been checked.
If you don’t explicitly say what exactly did you look at, merely saying that you contacted your provider is irrelevant as far as troubleshooting Mail goes. Nobody here can assume that you looked at something in particular if you don’t say so. And no, the “average joe at an internet provider” isn’t familiarized with Apple Mail at all...
if I click back on the main page "get mail" it closes "Activity Viewer" box.
You don’t have to click on the main window in order to tell Mail to check for mail. You could do Mailbox > Get All New Mail or Mailbox > Get New Mail > AccountName instead.
And clicking on the main window doesn’t close the Activity Viewer either. It merely brings the main window to the front, which may cause the Activity Viever to become hidden, but only if the windows overlap...
the messages that are not coming through do appear there.
(...) there is not dot in the column.
That means the messages have been downloaded, as you can verify by choosing That have already been downloaded from the Show Messages popup menu in the Account Info window — which in turn means this could be a rules issue...
So do you have any custom rules? Have you checked whether the missing messages could actually have been routed to other mailboxes such as Trash or Junk, or even deleted, by any rules? Have you tried searching for those messages in Mail or in Spotlight? Try disabling all the rules and see whether that makes a difference.

  • How do I ensure mail is sent from the correct email account?  I have two set up on my iPad, and it seems to choose which one to use somewhat randomly.  This has happened both when using Mail and when emailing form another app.

I have two email accounts set up on my iPad -- one I use & one I monitor for a disabled person.  On several occasions, mail I have composed and sent from my email account was sent showing the other account as the sender.  This has happened both from within Mail and when emailing from other apps, such as Safari, Photos, etc.  Any idea what is going on and how to prevent this from happening?

Are you confirming your POP account is selected as the sending email account before the message is sent?
And regardless if the email is a new email or is replying to or forwarding an email received by the POP account and cofirming the POP acconut is selected as the sending email account, the message is sent by the Gmail account?
All message sent by the POP account are sent by the Gmail account?
If so, delete the Gmail account from your iPad and test if a message sent with your POP account which will be the only email account available with the iPad's Mail app is recieved from your POP account/address.
If not, something else is wrong or on play that has nothing to do with the iPad.

IPAD3/IPAD2 :PDF files/ attachments  sent in an email  displayed inline ( embedded within the main email) in the message text on both my Ipad2 and Ipad three, however the same email displayed the PDF File icons/ attachment on both my Iphone and a friend’s PC. How do i get both my IPAD devices to display the PDF icons/attachments? Bearing in mind if i open the same email over the internet the PDF Icons/attachments display OK!
Has anyone come across this? Your advice/help would be most appreciated

This happens to me all the time.
If is a one page PDF it seems as though it comes over already open and inline in the body of the email. Multiple page PDF files show as the PDF icon.
I can't find any official documentation of this - other than based on my own experience with PDF attachments in my various email accounts.

No, iCloud does not handle 3rd party mail, and Google can already sync to all your devices without any help.
iCloud accounts are individual, there is no 'Family' account. Open an account for each user, each will have an iCloud address.

  • TS3899 I cannot send email from my ipad the message keeps saying rejected by the server but there is nothing wrong with my email account with talk talk as I am able to send email from my iPhone and laptop any ideas?

My email won't send from my iPad.  It says the server rejects it almost immediately I press the send email button, although there is nothing wrong with my email account when sending from my laptop or iphone. I have cancelled the account and re-entered it but it hasn't made a difference? Anybody help?

    Hi Allan,
Thank you for your help . The account used to work perfectly until recently, after receiving support from the provider, I deleted the account now I am trying to set the account again.
After putting in the first details (name, email, description) Cannot send mail the password or username for "mail.bigpond.com" is incorrect. I would expect this because the information I put in is not for Bigpond. So I press ok & I change the outgoing server (this is the one that is incorrectly labelled bigpond) to aapt, then I press save.
Then it says "verifying" but comes up with Cannot connect using SSL do you want to try setting up the account without SSL. I press yes.
Then I get the message "the POP server "mail.aapt.net.au" is not responding. Check your network connection & that you entered the correct information in the incoming mail server. (I ahve already checked this with aapt & it is correct.

  • TS3899 I am having issues with both my iPad and iPhone 5C in trying to send email from my home email account. It will receive email but I can't send email, each time I try an error message comes up.  The error message is: Cannot Send Mail; Acopy has been

The error message that is received is: Cannont Send Mail; A copy has ben placed in your Outbox. The recipient [email protected] was rejected by the server.
Is this a problem in the way the accounts have been set up or with my local email server?

Check the parameters in your email account against what is recommended by your email provider.
Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > account
Have you contacted the support contact at your email provider?

The error I see is you did not specify the proper authentication for the smtp server.
In the Mail preferences for the account, smtp popup, select Edit SMTP Server List.  A sheet will drop down.  Select Advanced tab on that sheet.  You should, I assume, set the Authentication to password, and set the proper username and password.  That's where the poper would be set if 587 is not the one you should be using.  Maybe it is.  I only bring it up since I see it trying to use port 587.
If you got this stuff already set correctly then I don't know.  Mail has a problem in your setup.  Maybe delete the account and recreate it from scratch.
