Email mailto function

Here's my problem. I'm pretty new to web design, and I've hit
a glitch. I am working in Dreamweaver MX on a mac platform
The website I have designed has a considerable amount of
email links. I have used the "mailto" function on all of the links.
When I test the mail to links on a browser, it immediately goes to
my Mac Mail account. When my client tried the mail to links on his
computer (Windows) he gets a no-functioning mail program. From what
I've learned or understand, these are POP (Post Office Protocol)
mail programs. How can I get Dreamweaver to use an IMAP (Internet
Messaging Access Protocol).
My client and I agree that most people use their ISP email
accounts more than any other. Is there a code or function I'm
missing? Does this involve Cold Fusion. An quick answer would be
appreciated.

The mailto:[email protected] simply opens the user's default
email client, as far as I understand it. The issue isn't your site,
its the user's default email client configuration. I'm not sure
there is anything you can do here. Instead of using mailto: links,
you may want to use something like
formmail.php

Mailto function

I have two problems that I cannot seem to find an answer for in any literature here or elsewhere. Hopefully someone can help me out.
1. I have created a message in the mail to function using the "&body=" command. I cannot seem to code a line break into any text string I create. I have tried html and URL-coding. It all just gets printed in the email message or it errors out when running the movie.
2. I am trying to embed a URL link in my email message created by the mailto function. Again it either errors or prints in the message. I Want it to print inthe message, but I want to make it a underlined clickable link.

Multiple gmail accounts with 'email link' function

My wife and I have separate gmail accounts and both are normally open in my Firefox session. When I use the 'email link' function, it always wants to send from my wife's gmail account. How can I change the function so it uses my gmail account? Thanks.

Try:

Imple mail v/s Email Fax functionality in message output determination

Can someone tell me what is the difference between simple mail functionality v/s email fax functionality in output determination ...
i have a reqmt from client as follows
1. A document neeeds to be sent to multiple email addresses and multiple faxes.
also the document that we sending thru mail /fax shud be stored in oyr SAP system for records .
Distribution lists is an option , but can i also use this functionality to send document via faxes ..but distribution list can only be set up for simple mail functionality ..
Second , i donthave an option of maintaining group email id in master eg vendor master as , this functionality if sending the Agency Business documnet (ABD) to multiple email address is only for ABD ...
However other documents like PO will be required to be sent to only someone in specific...

Hi,
If you are using Simple mail functionality you can provide multiple mail ids (to whom you want to send the mail) during condition record maintenance.
Where as in case of email - for ex: to send PO to vendor via email, you can maintain the output medium as email & system will pick the email id from the vendor master.

Can you send any emails at all indicating that the mail app is working? Did you try any basic stuff yet?
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Close those affected apps and restart the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

Email Photo function not working in lr5

After creating a new catalog on a new external HD I brought over selected photos from another older catalog on another external drive. Everything went fine except the EMAIL PHOTO function is grayed out and does not work. I checked with the former catalog and there as well it no longer functions. What's the solution?

Do either of you have an active internet connection at the times the Email function is grayed out? You certainly can't email something without an active internet connection.
Or maybe LR isn't seeing your internet connection.
Seems to work fine on my system with both LR opening my email program, Thunderbird, or directly from LR once I input the correct email server settings.

raadga Emails are important! Let's get your Comcast account working again. Go to the email account then select the menu for settings. If "sync only over wifi" is on then uncheck the box. If this is not an option, then you would want to delete and readd the email account to the phone. Please keep us posted.

How can I add a different web-based email program to use as my default 'mailto:' function?

When I go to Settings -> Applications and click on 'mailto', I see 'Use Yahoo mail, Use Gmail, and Use other...'. I want to use the Go Daddy Workspace Webmail application, which like Yahoo & Gmail, is a web based program, but don't see any way to add that option. The 'Use other...' option is only looking for an executable file and it won't accept a web-based command.

EMOD - HTML issues with Mailto functionality

Since the upgrade to version 1.3 I have just noticed a couple of things that did not appear within testing and I was wondering if anyone else has come up with anything similar or knows how I could possibly resolve these.
I have two issues
1 - When the user receives the email now the email is from [email protected]; on behalf of; $(Contact.Owner) can we remove [email protected] as we want the email to be as seen as sent from the contact owner and not a CRM then the owner.
2- Previously in my coding I was using the following mailto statement that includes reference to the contact owners email address now this functionality doesn't work.

Anyone have any idea's on how I can resolve this before open of business in 12 hours. Lodged a SR but thought that I would also lodge it here just incase someone has faced the same issues and can point me in the right direction.

Mailto: functionality

Hello,
I'm trying to set up a function on my dashboard so that the user can click a button and it brings up an email with the selected report as the subject. I have 4 tabs with 4 different scrolling lists and have got the 4 lists over each other (haven't quite worked out how to link one list to 4 tabs)
Can anyone help with this please. I'm using Xcelsius 2008.
I'm also a selt taught beginner so please bear with me.

Are you accessing the dashboard from within the web browser? if so this should work:
Add a TEXT component to the canvas and link it to a spreadsheet cell. In the cell paste
="<a href=mailto:[email protected]> Send Email </a>"
Replace "#" with mailto syntax wrapped in single quotes (can't post it here).
Then check the box for Enable HTML Formatting
If this works you can extend it by building the mailto syntax dynamically and add Subject etc.

Email Button Functionality

Adobe Reader users can only submit XDP, FDF, XFDF, XML formats unless the form has Usage Rights Enabled in Reader.
However, if you can only submit XDP, FDF, XFDF, or XML, you can merge the PDF submit response with a blank PDF form on a server by submitting to a server side script, and attach the merged document to an e-mail message and send via SMTP server without Client-Side email software such as Outlook.

How do I get a link to sending an email to function?

When I get an embedded link to send email via my hotmail account nothing happens when I click it.
Also I cannot "send a link" to anyone in hotmail.
Is it FireFox or Hotmail? or Both not being compatible.

The link might not work in Preview (When the option to open link in new tab is checked) however it will work if you do a File>Preview page/site in Browser.
Muse Preview has only one tab and cannot open another tab/window which is why this functionality does not work in Muse Preview. but works in preview in Browser and in published site.

Email not functioning correctly

I have a new by 2 months iphone 6 with 8.1 version. My main email account is not functioning. It was not showing any emails in the "in box" and the "trash" folder is missing. I have deleted it and have not been successful in adding it back as a new account and when attempting to add it, am receiving the POP

Did you check your WebMail at comcast.com for the 'lost' emails?
Your "READ" messages MUST remain there on the server in case you want to view them in WebMail. I'll bet if you visit WebMail and mark the ones you want as "UNread" they will download next time you check your mail on your iPhone.

Unable to read excel attachment received thru email using function module ?

I am using the function module 'SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1' to send an email attachement in EXCEL format.
The email is getting received along with the attachment, but when i try to open the excel file, i am getting an error stating "Unable to Read File"......
What could be the reason behind this error.......
