Email Messages Drop from Blackberry

I have just purchased a Blackberry Curve that I am using with an AOL email account and Outlook 2007 that is installed on my personal laptop (the Outlook installation is NOT linked to an enterprise server).  I can both send and receive messages using the BB Curve; however, incoming messages are subsequent dropped from the BB WITHOUT my having deleted them either on the BB or on the laptop (and they are NOT dropped from the Outlook Inbox on my laptop).  It seems that the messages dropping from the BB is connected to the messages being deleted from my AOL Mail Inbox (I have adopted the "unified inbox" on AOL, but the messages do not appear to be staying on the AOL server).  Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks!
Jim

AOL Mail's New Unified Inbox
AOL users now have the option to switch to the new Unified Inbox, stay put, or switch back.
Benefits of the improved Inbox option include:
1. E-mail messages remain in your Inbox and Sent folder until you delete them
2. Unlimited storage lets you keep as many e-mail messages as you want
3. See all of your e-mail messages in one place, instead of separate New Mail and Old Mail folders

    Hey RR-2010,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
Do you have the synchronize option enabled for reconcile messages in BlackBerry Desktop Manager?
Also is there any reason why you're using BlackBerry Desktop Redirector?  Have you tried setting up the email account via BlackBerry Internet Service?

  • TS4002 not seeing folder names some email message content from Firefox log in to iCloud

Lately when I access my iCloud account I'm not see the Folder names and some emails are showing no content from Firefox on my work PC, though when I view Mail from my iPhone the folders and the email message content is there. It doesn't happen all the time though it is become a more frequent occurrence. What gives?

This is the result you get when you try to sign into the iCloud Control Panel on Windows with an Apple ID which hasn't been used to set up an iCloud account, since you cannot set up an account on Windows. Once an account is set up elsewhere you should be able to log in perfectly well.
Forgive me for asking, but are you absolutely sure you are logging in with the right ID? Many people have separate IDs for iCloud and iTunes and it's easy to get them confused: so this is the first thing you should double-check.
Have you recently purchased additional Storage? Someone who had found that he was unable to log in in Windows until he had gone to the preference pane on his Mac and confirmed that extra storage there - I've not idea why that should be the case.

  • Customizing the email message sent from BPF after step completion

Is it possible to customize the email message sent by BPF after a step completion.I would like to customize the email sent by the SAP BPC once a BPF step has been completed. Is it possible to add some dynamic parameters related to the BPF as part of the email message, for example : Cost Centre, Account, Finance or any dimension related to the BPF
Currently it sends out a message as given below
[Approve Data] step of [Test BPF 1] has been completed by dom\bpfuser
    Where
[Test BPF 1]         => Name of the BPF
[Approve Data]  => A Step in the BPF
                    dom\bpfuser    => Domain\ User name
Note :In the APPSET Parameter  BPFSTEP_COMPLETE_MSG  we tried to add a custom message but it seems to add to display along with the existing message and treats the variables as plain text.

I used the Note 2 for over 6 months before it started happening. About the same time, my husband's iPhone started sending text to email messages at attachments to I blamed it on his phone. I went into his settings and couldn't find any reason and I checked a multitude of websites and saw MANY people having the same issue with no resolution. I also tried deleting all text history and contact info from both of our phones but it continued to happen until I reset my phone to factory defaults.
2 weeks ago I purchased the Note 3 and text messages from my daughter started coming as [email protected] Again, I tried purging all contact information and text message history from both phones with no success. I waited until my daughter upgraded to a Galaxy S4 Mini. I reset my phone to factory at the same time I was setting her phone up and that has fixed the problem again.
My main concern now is that this bug will again randomly rear it's ugly head and I'll again have to reset my phone to factory, losing all my settings and taking days to customize it the way I want it again.
Thank you for ANY help you can give.

  • Why have most all email messages disappeared from the folders they were stored in?

I have 57 folders set up in TB. All had multiple email messages stored in them. These file folders were used regularly without any problem. One day I accessed one of the folders and it was empty. It turned out that all folders were empty except for eight and those eight had files missing. I was at a complete loss as to what had happened. I then remembered that System Mechanic, which I have installed, had found something like 124,000 misaligned files prior to this problem and had proceeded to fix the problem. I don't recall if I had tried to reference any of my TB stored emails immediately after the misaligned file problem was "fixed" or several days had passed since this misaligned file problem was "fixed". I have had both TB and System Mechanic installed for 3+ years without any problem. Has anyone had this problem with or without System Mechanic installed.
Thank you for any help offered.

Yes they can. Connect your iPhone to your computer, open itunes, click on info and click on sync contacts. Alternatively you can go to your phone settings, iCloud and deselect the contacts option. A dialogue box or whatever that thing is should come up, select keep on my iPhone. Wait a few minutes and reselect it again and choose merge when it asks you to. Let me know if that solves your problem. It happened to me on my iPhone 4s and I just fixed it a few minutes ago.
    Jamal.

  • Email messages disappearing from my Blackberry Tour

I currently have my BlackBerry Tour configured for three seperate email accounts. The first two are working just fine. I just noticed this this morning that for the third, messages that I have read appear to be disappearing from the device. I've checked in Options and it appears that I have plenty of available space (101680072 bytes free) unless I am misreading what that number represents.
For example, I've read and responded to probably 10 emails from this account today. The emails that I read early this morning no longer show in the inbox, however the sent item for the response that I sent still does. The only items that still appear in the inbox are items that have arrived in the last 2 - 3 hours, anything prior to that, including ALL emails that I have received since setting up the account a few weeks ago are gone. The only thing that is visible for those dates are my sent items.
I had seen another thread in which someone had stated that rebooting by removing the battery might correct the issue but I tried that and it did not. I've included my settings for the email account in question below. I don't use any type of third party sync application, what the heck is going on here and how do I fix it?
    General Options
    Display Time - Yes
    Display Name - Yes
    Display Order - Name, Subject
Display Message Header on - 2 lines
    Display Message Count - Unread
Display New Message Indicator - Yes
Hide Read Filed Messages - No
SMS and Email Inboxes - Theme Controlled
    Seperators - Stripes
    Actions
Make PIN messages Level 1 - Yes
    Auto More - Yes
    Confirm Delete - Yes
Confirm Mark Prior Opened - Yes
Auto Open Newest Message After Removing Device From Holster - After Sound or Vibration
    Keep Messages - Forever
    Email Settings
    Enable HTML Mail - Yes
    Confirm Delivery - No
    Confirm Read - No
    Send Read Receipts - No
    Email Reconciliation
    Delete on - Prompt
    Wireless Reconcile - Mailbox Wins
    On Conflicts - Mailbox wins

    Yea this is strange.
Some IMAP email servers will reconcile "read" messages, and perhaps mark them as read on your device IF they have been marked as read on the email server, but Outlook doens't normally do this. The reverse is also true, reading the mail on the device can mark the same message as read on the email server. And in some setups, deletes can be reconciled.
    But this sounds different.
The device memory on your BlackBerry should be ok, but let's look anyway, at Options > Status, what is your File Free?

  • Messages deleting from Blackberry after being read in outlook

I am new to the Blackberry after using an iPhone, and I'm still figuring it out.  This may have been answered already...I just can't find it.  I have Outlook 2003 at home, and have a Blackberry Tour 9630 with Verizon.  After I read an email in Outlook, it deletes it from my Blackberry (the messages have not been deleted in Outlook).  If I understand this correctly, if I delete a message from Outlook...it will always delete it from my Blackberry.  What setting do I need to change either in Outlook or the Blackberry to keep the emails that I read (but do not delete) in Outlook on my Blackberry.
    Thanks
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

The change is made in OUTLOOK.
    1) Go to the account you are using, (TOOLS/ACCOUNT SETTINGS) and  double-click the account in which you want to make the change.
    2)  Click "MORE SETTINGS."
    3) Click the "ADVANCED" tab.
    4) Place a check mark in the box adjacent to "Leave a copy of messages on the server."
Then you can choose to delete (or not) from your Blackberry.
    Hope this helps,
    ED

  • Several emails per day - from blackberry communicating with server?? Need to remove emails.

    Afternoon,
Each day my outlook email recieves about 6 - 9 emails; of the below information, with an attached 'DAT File' that needs to be opened by selecting a program.
Information in the main body of the email
'this message is used to carry data between Blackberry handheld and an associated server. Please do not delete, move or respond to this message - it will be processed by the server.'
These emails are becoming annoying as I have lots of important work emails to deal with.
Does anyone know how to stop these emails without effecting how the blackberry works with the pc?
    Assistance would be appreciated.
    Thanks

Reason : You have installed Desktop Manager using the 'Desktop Redirector' option.
Step 1: If you're not using Redirector, you should uninstall Desktop Manager and then reinstall it using the BlackBerry Internet Service option.
Step 2: On your device, go to: Options > Advanced > Service Book, and delete all service books for [Desktop]

  • How can I set my iPhone to show email messages sent from my desktop?

Using iPhone 5, are there setting that I'm missing to allow me to see sent messages from my desktop Mac on my iPhone?

So to be clear, when you are looking at the Mailboxes side bar, you are tapping through to the email address in the ACCOUNTS section (below INBOXES), then to the Sent folder. Correct?
If yes, is there perhaps more than one Sent folder? Maybe one called Sent and another called Sent (IMAP) or something similar? Maybe take a look at that long list of folders to be sure you looking in the correct one.
If that does't work, then do as I suggested and delete the account and add it again as new.

  • Portal self registration - modifying email messages sent from database

    Hi,
Using Self Registration feature of Portal, we need to modify the text sent to approved users by email.
    current message:
The account that you requested at https://mysite/portal/pls/portal/ has been approved. You may now log on to the portal using the username (blaaablaa) and the password that you specified during registration.
I need to change this to something more appropriate/user friendly
Does anyone have experience of this? Could I use UTL_MAIL to modify these messages?
    TIA
    Kevin

    Hi
Thought I'd give an update to this. The portal was sending from an unrecognised account on our mail server. Setting the Approvers account and page group contact email recitified this.

  • Blank Email Messages Sent from Mail to Some Recipients!

When I send email, using Apple Mail, I'm told that the body of my messages appear completely blank (although my address and the subject line do come through). I've narrowed it down to people who have hotmail, msn, and earthlink accounts.
I have tried on both my MacBook Pro and older G4. They both have this problem. I also have 4 email accounts, all through different services, and again all have this problem.
I am using some CSS in my signatures, but when I don't use a signature I still have this problem.
Any ideas on what the issue might me. Thanks in advance.

    Hi ideaspring
I compared your plist to mine. There were many differences naturally, but some stand out in my opinion:
I found the following in your plist, but no in mine:
    EncryptOutgoingMessages = 1;
I'm not sure, what this is, but I believe you might have installed a .Mac certificate and set you .Mac account to use this certificate to encrypt or just sign your messages.
I played with that some time ago: the problem was: windows mail clients had to go through quite a hassle to verify my cert, while Mail.app users were fine.
I found the following in my plist, but not in yours.
    SendFormat = Plain;
    SendWindowsFriendlyAttachments = 1;
    AttachAtEnd = 1;
The first can be set in Preferences > Composing, the second and third via the Edit Menu > Attachments > Always...
It would be helpful, if you could narrow the problem down to one of your mailboxes and one recipient, who is willing to help you testing. Even if it happens to all your mailboxes and some recipients, it would be good, if we could find a way of always reproducing the symptom.

  • Outlook doesn't download messages sent from Blackberry

I am using MS Outlook on my home PC to sync my gmail messages (using
    POP3).
    Here is what I noticed:
When I send a message through GMail web interface, it does show up in
    my Outlook.
When I do the same through my BlackBerry, which is also
connected to my GMail, the message does not show up in my Outlook,
even if I CC myself in it. Why so? Can it be fixed?
    Thank you!

  • Link sent email message to excel spreadsheet

I am sending emails to clients. I would like to be able to add a link to my comments section and be able to see the email I sent to the client from excel. Is that possible?

    Tanzim Wrote in his post:
    Cause of the issue
Gmail webmail accounts do not have separate sent items and inbox folders. The Gmail account web page contains a Sent Mail link on the left side, but this is not a separate folder from the inbox. Gmail webmail messages are grouped into conversations, resulting in all sent messages and replies from others appearing as a single email message entry in the inbox. This allows for easy reading and viewing on the Gmail web page, but, when integrated with the BlackBerry Internet Service account, results in copies of sent email messages arriving on the BlackBerry smartphone as new email messages.
    Resolution
To prevent sent messages from returning to the BlackBerry smartphone each time, create a filter in the BlackBerry Internet Service account to block the sending of those messages to the BlackBerry smartphone.
To create a filter, perform the following:
Log in to the BlackBerry Internet Service account. For instructions on how to log in to the BlackBerry Internet Service account, see KB03781.
Click the Filters icon next to the integrated Gmail account.
Click Add a Filter to create a new filter.
Configure the filter so that email messages are not sent to the BlackBerry smartphone if the email message originates from the Gmail webmail account integration:
Type a name for the filter into the Filter Name field. For example, My sent Gmail email messages.
Set the Apply filter when field to "FROM" field.
Type the Gmail webmail address into the Contains field. For example, <user name>@gmail.com>.
Select the radio button beside Do not forward messages to device.
    Click Add Filter.
Note: After creating this filter, email messages will not be received on the BlackBerry smartphone if sent from the Gmail webmail account.
