Email problems following OS update
I am having problems with my o2 email account, I can recieve emails but cannot send them. I get a message smtp server is offline. Is anyone else having the same problem or has anyone found a work round?

After the new upgrade of software, my iPod Touch has not been able to retrieve any emails from the different a/cs I hv, Yahoo, Starhub, Singnet. All I see is the 1st few lines preview & when I click on that same email to open, its totally empty. Never had this problem b4 the upgrade.

Problem following ID update to CS6 8.0.1
Just in case anyone else is experiencing the same problem after updating ID CS6 to 8.0.1... I found that a placed Illustrator file did not have any transparency, or at least it appeared to be displaying the Art Board (white page background) when I imported files into Indesign (following the update yesterday). Where I had a white out logo appearing on a dark background on an Indesign page, all I saw was a big expanse of white - not good... just bad.
So I restarted, looked on the Forum, called Adobe and sat listening to music for over an hour, then gave up. Answer... Well, this worked for me.
Trash the preferences. I know you'd probably have tried this long before pulling out any hair, but I was reluctant to, due to all the personalisation I'd introduced over the past few months. I'd loose all of that and of course, I did.
Here's how to trash the prefs if you're not sure. (BTW. Pallet location info IS retained if you've spent a while getting things just as you like them)...

Thank goodness for the Forums because Adobe 'Live Chat' was (a) increadibly slow and (b) less than useless this time.

IPhone/iMac sync problem following Yosemite update
I updated to Yosemite and have had multiple frustrating problems. The most recent one is that when I synced my iPhone after the update, almost every single entry disappeared from my calendar, causing me to miss an important appointment. When I compare my iMac calendar to the iPhone calendar now, I can see indications on the iPhone of items that correspond to the iMac items (little dot on the day on the monthly calendar), but when I click on the day there is absolutely nothing visible on the calendar. And obviously no reminders going off, causing missed appointments. On my iPhone calendar I have changed no settings at all following Yosemite update, and prior to update everything that was on my iMac calendar was showing on the iPhone. I don't do iCloud, I just sync by physically connecting the phone to the iMac.
My impression is overall that Apple is getting very lazy now that their market share is getting so huge. Yosemite update has been a disaster for me.Sorry, on rereading I realise that the information is not completely clear. The items that are missing are on the iPhone calendar. The iMac calendar still has all the items that were on it before the Yosemite update. What has gone wrong is that somehow the phone calendar is not being updated properly at sync; for some weird reason the display (and reminders) on the phone calendar were wiped out with the sync to the iMac following the Yosemite update.

Email problems with new update
I downloaded the new update (to iso4)3 days ago. No problems until today. I receive emails just fine. They appear in the "inbox" with the first two lines of message. The problem occurs when I open up the individual email-all content is gone. The Only information is the sender, date and time of email.

Problems following iphone update to 3.1.3
I am no longer able to send email from my iphone's secondary smtp server automatically. If I turn off the primary smtp server, I will send email from the secondary server.
Also I am having to sign on to my local wi-fi network each time I try to connect at home even though I am a trusted user through my router and virus software.
Both new problems since 3.1.3 update - I have had my phone since Nov of 2008 and the issues were not issues until latest update.Good afternoon! Sky email problems following upgrade to ios7 on iPad
I have just updated my iPad to ios7 and my email worked for a few hours and then stopped. I have tried resetting my iPad and deleting and adding my email account again and it says it 'the user name or password for IMAP.tools.sky.com is incorrect' but the user name and password is correct and I can get on my email account on my laptop. My email is a sky account. Any suggestions?

Problem following failed update on Nokia X6
I used the PC Ovi software to install the update to my x6 last night, that failed due to insufficient battery (15%) so I charged the phone overnight and tried again this morning at the 'retry' that I left up.
That started up, went through the phases (backup etc) until the final one which failed with a message about 'Timeout' - thought that might have been related to the phone going into screensaver ?
The message (which I unfortunately quickly clicked off) indicated I could install the s/w update that was on my phone but I can't woprk out how. There is no update awaiting installation on the list of updates.
Phone s/w version I'm currently running is V31.0.004 27-12-1010 Custom version 31.0.004.249.10

cable you got with the phone) you can reinstall the latest firmware you
have in your phone.
Just hit the green arrow you see on far right in the upper line. The Suite checks
if there is new updates available and there where the information concerning
your phone is, you see text "reinstall current software" (or something like this. sorry,
I have the Finnish version). Hit it and you'll get your software reloaded.

Unable to reply or forward emails following Z10 update
Hi,
I am unable to reply or forward emails via my auth.smtp accounts on 1&1 following the update to 10.0.10.90. Ive tried resetting the email accounts and playing with the port settings to no avail. This is a major problem for me and makes the phone almost useless for my business use. Any ideas would be appreciated.Hey barak666,

Email syncs now say "Updated Mar 30", the day I upgraded to Lollipop 5.0. Two days later it is still saying Mar 30. The notification should read the date and time you updated email receiving. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a solution to this?
We want to make sure your phone is in working order Mb_in_NC. I know it can be difficult when you see different times. What is your make/model of your device? When did it start? Do you have a different time on any other applications?

FIX:
1. You need Time Machine
2. Go to folder /Library/CoreMediaIO/Plug-Ins/DAL/
3. Copy AppleCamera.plugin to good place (usb memory stick is the best place).
4. Go to Time machine in date that skype work fine.
5. Change AppleCamera.plugin with file from Time Machine
6. Restart system, Now skype need to work with camera.

I am having the iMessage problem following the latest update but am unable to fix it following suggestions on here so far. Anybody have a different suggestion? My phone & iPad are fine but my husbands phone is the one with the issue. I tried backing it up to my computer but for some reason it won't do that either.

Problems After Latest Update (7.1 Bundle 2061 - v7.1.0.714, Platform 5.1.0.532)
Hi all.
Having afew problems with my 9810 since the latest upgrade today. When I used my Desktop Software, it said a new version of the software was available, so I updated it. Once this was updated, I connected the phone and it told me a new version was available. Before installing this, I created a back-up,but I noticed that the back-up wasn't complete (Blackberry Messenger 0/2 and something else 0/2 was given as the items not backed-up).
I tried backing it up again and got the same message. Stupidly, I updated the phone anyway. This new version of the Desktop Software creates a backup during the update anyway which it uses to restore the phone (I've not noticed the previous version to do this).
Anyways, when the update was complete, I notice that my BBM was empty. It asked for a new profile name etc (obviously due to the above parts not being backed-up). Somehow, I managed to get the BBM contacts back from previous back ups, however, a few other aspects of the phone don't function like they use to. For example:
1, EMAILS - when deleting emails, I use to get an option to delete the message from "Handset", or "Handset & Mailbox". Now it just asks to delete and does not give me an option;
2. DEVICE ANALYSER - Although this appears in the application list, I cannot locate it on the phone (this was a problem in previous updates, but usually it would then appear in the application list with a '?', but not this time);
3, I have 2 applications listed in the applications with '?' over the icon- these might be related to the emails in 1 above; these are "Blackberry S/MIME Support" and "DOD Route Certificates"
Any advice on how to rectify these niggling little issues?
Sorry if this has been covered, but I was hoping for something easy to understand.

And last, BlackBerry S/MIME Support is a type of encryption that can be used if the BlackBerry smartphone is activated to a BlackBerry Enterprise Server. DOD root certificates are used by the Department of Defense, these options are available for all BlackBerry smartphones. If you are not using the S/MIME or DOD root certificate features it is ok to remove them.

Touch sensitivity problem after latest update iOS 6.1
Hi guys,
does anyone else have the same problem? After updating my iPhone 5 to latest version iOS 6.1, touch screen stared to work wierd. I have to slide a few times just to unlock my screen. Can not poroperly open any application and when I want to scrool, that's pain in the ***.
Can anyone help me about this? Is that problem with the update iOS 6.1 or my iPhone5, 3 motnhs old become broken?

This has been working with improvements besides the fact that the phone gradually is becomming slower with increased functions and especially from iOS 6.0 and up. It has however worked ok keeping in mind that it is a 3 years old phone. With the latest update to iOS 6.1, however, the use af the iphone has severely been affected, much like you other guys are experiencing. The below described behavior of the iphone has never happened before, until the faithfull morning of the 4th of februar, 2013 when i accepted to update the iOS to 6.1. Immediately after the update the problems started:
When sliding to unlock the phone it takes several attemps (sometimes 10 or more) before the slider actally follows my finger to the end and the iphone unlocks.
When typing (eg. a text msg. or email message), it is now allmost impossible to type a meaningfull message because some of the keys do not respond and other only respond to a very hard press. Only when typing very slowly, making sure the touchscreen is actually responding, a usefull message can be made. It seems like the sesitivity of the touchscreen has been altered making it less sensitive.
The same behaviour is observed for other functions and Apps like games which are now impossible to use due to the poor response of the touch screen.
Now i only wish i could roll back the iOS to an earlier version (like 5.1.1) where the iphone was really working well.
I really hope that a new and improved iOS will be out soon to correct for this problem -

I thought spry text validation would of been causing the issues, but I removed them and have the same problem.

Removing I investigated spry a little more, in the end I settled for removing spry altogether,
Maybe it was because the text field in a $GET (for the default) AND a $PUT (for the update) -
I am having email problems with the new Mountain Lion. stmp, imap, etc. I have looked up google info and It is confusing when it comes to TS, SSL also, please explain how to set it up so my email goes out and comes in securely. Help

this is all greek to me. WHAT IS STARTTLS? On the first page of Apple set up there is a TLS certificate and it is marked NONE- should I change it to the long APPLE CERT option? The next page under ADVANCED: THERE IS A BOX SSL MARKED. Then IMAP Path Prefix - I put stmp.gmail.com.. is that right? Port 993 can use this one? as 456 doesn't work and 587 said it wasn't safe. Under AUTHENTICATION I used PASSWORD. Should I have used external client cert TLS?
