I use Business Objects Server version 11 to distribute reports via email but was asked if there was a way to only send the reports to those people listed in the report (which changes daily) instead of the entire distribution list. I can create a list of email addresses as a variable within the report but can't find any way to pass it to the Business Objects server "To:" field located in the destination screen. I would expect to see some option for sending to some value located in the report but alas no such option is evident. This seems like a feature the product should be capable of doing as it is so basic. Any other way to do this that anybody can think of? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The simplest thing would be to simply use the Import Wizard to create a BIAR file and then back up the required CR's and instances to the BIAR file. So for instance you would use the "Import Folders and Objects" option. So the source system would be the system you are decomissioning and the Destination would be the BIAR file. Once that is done you can use the BIAR file to import the report content into another system in the future.

How can I email a group list from my contacts/Mac address book?
I love the Apple address book for making media lists for my PR business because it enables me to add dates and actions. But when a client wants to see the list via email, I'm flummoxed. I've been rewriting as a Word document, but that eliminates the convenience of Address Book. I could print, scan, and send,but that's cumbersome. If we can share a contact, why can't we share a Group list? Or, am I missing something simple?

I've a new account on iMac. When composing an email the contact list does not show up on the bar, which would allow me to select the persons I want to include on the distribution of the email. When I start keying in a name in the email, it comes up with the person's address, which shows it is synced. How do I engage the contact list from the email like I do on my old account (where a contact list icon shows up, along with the "attach" and other icons) ?
With the New Message window open, go to the View menu and select "Customize Toolbar...".
In the screen that opens, drag the item labelled "Address" into the Toolbar area of the New Message window, then click the "Done" button.
That item should be then added to the Toolbar for the New Message window.
Note that the main Mail window and the New Message window (as well as the separate message window if you open a message that way) use different toolbars - the settings/inclusions for one do not carry over to another. -
When printing a list in Address Book, how can I select more than the default Attributes and keep them selected when I print again? I want to print ALL information for contacts so I have email address, notes, phone, company, title, etc all on one page. I don't want to have to check off an additional 5 or 6 attributes each time I print out contact information. Is there a way to change the default setting for printing lists, so it is not just "phone," "photo," and "job title?"
I have a user who wants to do this same thing. I did not find any way either to default the attributes to anything other than what you see the first time. Seems like such a trivial thing, hard to believe they do not allow it. I did find a program for this called iDress but I can't seem to download it from any links on the Internet. Not sure if it is free or not, but it was recommended by a link on the Mac support site.

Click on the group name.
Go to the menu File > Export VCard . . .
Save that file and send it.
The recipient should go to File > Import to import your list.

Can a workflow email another SharePoint List/Library?
I’m working on building out some automation in SharePoint to address some gaps in a currently manual process, but I’ve run into a snag.
Right now I have a custom tracking list for a group of users to use for checking the status of their requests. Based on the status, a workflow will kick off notices to the users letting them know where their requests are at. I want to expand upon this by
building an announcement list to receive emails from users (one of the few list templates that is configurable for this) to manage the growing volume of correspondence they produce. By having a list, I can create a workflow to auto sort, tag/categorize, and
auto-respond to emails based on tags/categories in ways that Outlook can’t. For the sake of non-repudiation and as evidence that the workflows are working correctly, I want to save copies of the notices SharePoint sends to 3<sup>rd</sup> list as
an archive. My 3<sup>rd</sup> list was also configured off the announcement list but it is not receiving the emails from the workflow. Since it is using the SharePoint exchange service account, I’m wondering if this a technical limitation that
cannot be resolved, or if there is a missing configuration we need to do on our end that is preventing this from working?
Essentially I’m trying to have SharePoint email itself from one list to another. Has anyone tried this or been successful?
(I prefer lists over libraries in this case because this is going to be moderately large scale data and I won’t have to drill down into documents for info. Lists also open of the possibility for more complex workflows later on should the need arise)

Archive (Announcement List TemplateWhen we consider that email is simply a communications protocol being leveraged by the workflow, it becomes clear that the problem most likely lies in the email enablement of your Archive list. If your Archive list is indeed identical to the Requests
list, then I would take a look at configuration for email on that list as it probably isn't configured correctly. Additionally, you may wish to double check the email alias you're using in the workflow. Sending email to the wrong email address
is just a slip of the keyboard but can result in many hours of debugging. Ultimately, I would recommend tracking the email through Exchange logs to see if it's received and sent correctly.

Dynamic List and Security Issue

I have a Dynamic List Wizard for orders, which the user can click on edit to edit or modify the order and if the user choose "Yes" to submit ( the order form has a submit filed which has Yes / No Values)then the EDIT button disappear and the user has no more control on the record(using show if conditional Region server behavior).
- Now i noticed that when i click on the edit the address bar includes the (www.mysite.com/form.php?order_id=1) now say the order Number 2 is already submitted (still on the list but no Edit button for it) if i write 3 or 4 or any other number instead of 1 at the address bar (www.mysite.com/form.php?order_id=3) the record which has the order number 3 displays on the screen and then you can edit it and when click update the Edit Button becomes Active which destroy the whole concept.

interesting that you´re mentioning this -- because I was just in the middle of finding a workaround for the very same issue ;-)
I actually did find a pretty easy solution, which basically goes like this:
1) wrap the whole table *plus* any possibly added hidden fields located below this table in a "Show IF conditional region" behaviour -- but make sure to *not* include the buttons within the "KT_bottombuttons" div in here.
2) as I assume that your "supplier_name" column holds a numeric value which equals the user´s "kt_login_id" Session Variable (which it should !), define the following conditions for the "Show IF conditional region" behaviour:
Expression 1: choose "supplier_name" from the tNG recordset
Condition: ==
Expression 2: choose Session -> kt_login_id
3) tick the Has ELSE option
4) confirm with OK
5) replace the default "has Else" message with something meaningful like "you can´t edit this record !"
Switching to Code view and navigating to the very start of your "Show IF conditional region" should display something like this:

When viewing the modified Dynamic Form in a browser, you´ll note that this solution will indeed display the form instances for all "authorized" records, whereas those form instances which don´t match the required credentials will be replaced with that "has else" message.
BUT !! This solution has one major drawback which I haven´t been able to resolve yet :: when the Dynamic Form goes into Insert Record mode
(means when you click the "add new" link in the Dynamic List), all inner form instances will display that "has else" message.
The only workaround I currently can come up with is to have the List´s "add new" link point to a separate "add_new.php" page that´s going to insert a single record.

Using variable in dynamic list queries
How can we use a variable value like metadata value of the parent content in the dynamic list query?
I tried something following ways but the query was not picking up the value of xCountries.
dDocType <matches> `State` <AND> xCountries <matches> xCountries
dDocType <matches> `State` <AND> xCountries <matches> `xCountries`
dDocType <matches> `State` <AND> xCountries <matches> `$xCountries`
dDocType <matches> `State` <AND> xCountries <matches> `<!--$xCountries-->`
None of them worked. But when I printed the <!--$xCountries--> on the secondary page for the selected country the value is getting printed.

You were right. Eval function call was helpful here.
The problem was resolved only to an extent by using the eval function. This is
evaluating the query string given in parameters window for ssQueryText to
correct value. We used the eval() function in the dynamic list fragment. The
format of query we were trying earlier was incorrect. The correct format is like
this
dDocType <matches> `City` <AND> xCountries <matches> `<$xCountries$>` <AND>
xStates <matches> `<$xStates$>`
There is another problem though. We are able to add new states or cities by
going to the specific state page or to the cit page and then edit it. But if we
click edit on a secondary page e.g. on a State page(which contains list of
cities) the correct values for cities are not getting populated in the Cities
dynamic list in state edit window. Possible cause is that the eval function is
not called in the edit window (which shows all applets), instead the eval
function is called only in dynamic list fragment which is evaluated in the
secondary page template for State. How can we make the eval function execute in
the edit window as well?
In fact the query is failing from paramters window itself. If I use Test Query
it is returning 0 results.
Is there a work around to address this problem? Hope I didn't confuse much.

Why is there no email option under site settings in the Business Catalyst Dashboard?
I have pushed a site live, and it has propegated, and looks fine on the Internet, but there is no email option under site settings in the Business Catalyst Dashboard as the tutorial and help screen said there would be.
The domains all look correct, and there is an MX record as well. Did email get moved to another screen, or is there something wrong in my setup?On the page found at ttp://helpx.adobe.com/business-catalyst/partner/setup-pop-imap-email-accounts.html
it says that there should be a "users" field under "Site Settings," and that is where email accounts are set up. There is not, any more than there was a "email" field as referenced in the tutorial (as you can see from the screen shot above). I can no longer correspond with Adobe, since my primary email address on file with Adobe was with the domain that was transferred to Business Catalyst. -

You will have to look around your machine & figure out the name of the program.

I recommend that you get a littlesnitch. littlesnitch will track your Web traffic and tell you which applications are sending data from your computer. Be sure to run it awhile because it will trigger a number of alerts. In trail mode, it will run for three hours per boot for a about a month.

Check System Preferences>Accounts (Users & Groups in later OSX versions)>Login Items window to see if it or something relevant is listed.
Check the System Preferences>Other Row, for 3rd party Pref Panes.

Either You can put a Xpath expression on Owner (open Human task from composite and see the General tab ) or you can have rule based assignment for users .

Bug? - Dynamic lists, Apex 4.1
I'm attempting to create a dynamic list (Apex 4.1/Oracle 11.2.0.1) that will ultimately serve as a hierarchical menu structure for a site.
For those that have dealt with this you probably know that there are two main parts, the query against the source table and the associated list template. I'm pretty sure I've got my query correct but would appreciate any comments/feedback on what I've got so far. Here's my query:

It looks like what I would expect, based on the data in my table, but not sure about how the dynamic list is handling the ordering of the list elements.
Assuming this is "correct" and Apex just takes the input in the order it's provided then I'm going to move on the list template. I already have a list template that works with my static list, but when I try to use it with the dynamic list it all falls apart. The nesting of the <ul> and <li> elements gets messed up. The problem seems to be getting the right <ul> and <li> elements in the right areas of the template definition.
If the query above and the output look like what Apex is expecting (I'd appreciate feedback on this) then I'll post some example HTML that's being emitted from my template and see if anyone can see where I might be going wrong. Thanks for any help you might have.

That is interesting. Thanks for that pointer. Most interesting part about it is that my list template works just fine for my static list and it goes wonky when I try to apply it to the dynamic list. I think this might actually be getting to the root of the problem.
Perhaps some things are being assumed with the new dynamic lists and maybe stepping on my template design? Guess I need to devise a good test to see if I can better hone in on the problem.
For any others out there that might be reading, this is not resolved so any additional thoughts or feedback will still be greatly appreciated.

Creating lists in address book
Help! I have details in my address book of members of our club together in a group, I wish to create lists for our members showing all details ie address phone nos email etc... with 2 columns on A4 page similar to labels, (cannot do this choosing a label format as it does not give options to add fields).
The pocket address book is very untidy could not find a way of customizing this(cuts details in half at bottom of page), the 'list' option available only shows 7 people's details per page too many pages to print to give to the members.
I am a bit of a novice at this, can anyone suggest a solution please?Hello Golden Shoes, further to your reply I am disappointed there is not a satisfactory solution to my simple requirement. I managed a result it worked, however I feel it was a bodged one, after a lot of effort & frustration as I am not an expert, in précis I did the following:
Address book -services- text edit then 'list' in address book (select fields required) then 'open PDF in preview' on desktop - select - edit - copy & paste on the text edit document- save as RTF document.
I then amended, deleted, made spaces of the information which was shown in one long column. Then used help for 'columns' info.
Used 3 columns on each page, cut & pasted the information as required. Now I have a list of names & addresses to give to our members on 2 pages only instead of 'list' which is 5.
I can amend this list as required.
Laborious, untidy, unsatisfactory, frustrating, it would have been great if a labels format was possible to show addresses, e-mail & phone nos.
I would be interested in your further comments, thank you.
