Embedded simpleviewer gallery in iWeb page

I've been doing a lot of research looking up on different sites and I've come up with a battle plan. I want to embed a simpleviewer gallery into my iweb page. Right now, I have a gallery set to open up in a separate window, and it's working fine. I'd either like to hide the address bar or embed the simpleviewer gallery right into the page, so instead of just the gallery opening up in its own webpage, the new page would include the rest of my links, and images. I think that an html snippet is the way to go, but I don't know how to obtain all the proper html to make it work. Does anybody know how to get it? iWeb's help section for html snippets is ironically incredibly unhelpful.
Here's a link to the gallery as it is now.

I guess I should mention that I've seen it done before, I'm not just making something up. Here's a link to an autoviewer gallery that I've seen, and it's embedded into the iWeb page.

Okay, here's some code that you provided for a flash video.
<object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" width="309" height="206" codebase="http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab #version=8,0,0,0">

<param name="autoplay" value="true" />
<param name="loop" value="false" />
<param name="controller" value="false" />
<param name="kioskmode" value="false" />
<param name="cache" value="true" />
<param name="scale" value="tofit" />

<param name="controller" value="false" />
<param name="kioskmode" value="false" />
<param name="cache" value="true" />
<param name="scale" value="tofit" />
</object>
</object>
Here's a link to my gallery,
http://web.mac.com/soncraig/Cami&_Stevesv/index.html
and here's a link to the rough page that I made for it
http://web.mac.com/soncraig/CraigSalmond_Photography/About2.html
Exactly which parts do I need to edit? I have a basic understanding of html, but I don't know how to link the gallery files to my iWeb page. Also, the Simpleviewer code doesn't look anything like some people say it should. For example, http://www.rowan-cottage.co.uk/Site/SimpleViewer.html
Is this page not accurate? Is it dealing with an earlier version of Simpleviewer?

  • Increasing Mobile Me Gallery on iWeb Page

    I am inserting a MobileMe Gallery into my Web Page. Unfortunately the size is to small 160 x 140.
    I want to at least double the size.
    I click on the outer edge and find the 6 small boxes that would normally allow increase/decrease
    and no change of cursor when over the box.
    I have looked in Inspector and the size cannot be altered.
    Is there any way to increase the size.
    Any assistance gratefully appreciated.

    That size if fixed by iWeb. However, you can embed the gallery itself into an iWeb page, using any of the modes, mosaic, grid, etc. as in this demo page: MobileMe Galleries and Quicktime Movies. But changing the size of the widget is a user function. You can send a feature request to Apple via http://www.apple.com/feedback/iweb.html.

    I need for someone to answer the question on whether you can embed opt-in webforms into iweb pages and if so how do you get the code into the iweb code so it shows up on the page. Im using Aweber and need to put their opt-in form on my iweb page.

  • Embedding LR4 Gallery Into iWeb

    Hello,
    After looking at many options, I had decided to use Airtight SimpleViewer in Lightroom 4 to create photo galleries with the intention of embedding these galleries into my website created with iWeb (3.0.4).
    However, I am stumbling at the html snippet stage.
    I have tried both uploading the gallery to my FTP site as well as exporting the gallery and then using Fetch to upload the gallery.
    I tried using the html snippets reported in www.iwebfaq.org:
    <iframe src=
    "http://web.me.com/username/Slideshow/index.html"
    style="width:615px; height:500px;
    border-color:#990033;
    border-style:solid;
    border-width:0px"
    scrolling="yes" >
    </iframe>
    Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?
    Thanks

    I put the slideshow folders into my public folder in my Dropbox:
    When I insert the following into the HTML snippets, I don't get the Simple Viewer Gallery either in iWeb or on my blog after putting it with Fetch:
    When I click on the index.html file within the Public Dropx folder for the Ice Fishing slideshow, this is the link I get: https://dl-web.dropbox.com/get/Public/Slideshows/Ice_Fishing/index.html?w=AABKs1 m6rARJTOqw4plIXFTCkvdEqU3X-D1J9yWfiSObZQ; and this is the result in both iWeb and my blog:
    I have Adobe Flash installed so that is not the issue. When I hit the Gallery link, I get this error message:
    Thanks for your help thus far. I think I am much closer, but still obviously doing something wrong.

  • HTML Snippet Challenge: how to add falling snow to my iweb pages?

    Using the source code and assets provided on this site...
    http://www.schillmania.com/projects/snowstorm/
    ...can anyone help me with embedding this into my iweb pages? The snippet html is a snap, but I don't know how to link the folders containing the images or the script.
    I am working with version# 1.3.20081215.
    And if this won't do it, can anyone recommend another way that I can embed falling snow on my iweb pages?
    Thanks for any help.

  • Flash exported from Keynote and embeded in iWeb page not working in IE

    using the "html snippet" widget and swfobeject code generated here: http://www.jeroenwijering.com/?page=wizard I placed a swf file generated by Keynote in an iWeb page.
    It seems to work fine except for folks using IE in Windows. They get to the first page, but the "Next" link doesn't work. My problem page address is here: http://shortpoem.org/readings/Selected_Poems.html
    Can anyone help me see what needs to change?
    This is the generated code (I also tried using the html generated by Keynote and had the same problem):
    <script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.jeroenwijering.com/embed/swfobject.js"></script>
    This text will be replaced
    <script type="text/javascript">
    var so = new SWFObject('http://shortpoem.org/readings/SelectedPoemsfiles/thoughts.swf','mpl','800','600','8');
    so.addParam('allowscriptaccess','always');
    so.addParam('allowfullscreen','true');
    so.addVariable('height','600');
    so.addVariable('width','800');
    so.addVariable('file','/upload/player.flv');
    so.write('player');
    </script>

    The code in your first post is not what you pasted in the Snippet.
    http://shortpoem.org/readings//SelectedPoems_files/widget0markup.html
    You simply exclude IE users.

  • Embedding Iweb page into Craigslist using mobile me link?

    I would like to embed an iweb page or and ad creating in Pages into a craigslist post. How can I do this so it looks like a nicely formatted webpage in my craigslist posting?
    I

    It just occurred to me that because I have a MacBook for work and a MacBookPro for home, I am using two different OS. My MacBook is still running on Leopard, but my personal computer has Snow Leopard. The blog issue is appearing no matter which computer I'm publishing from. And as of right now, iWeb is not freezing like it was earlier this evening. But what's really curious is that after publishing from both OS, the blog issue remains the same and so does the error reading. I wish that I could attach the snapshot I took from both computers. If anyone is interested in seeing the errors from the snapshot, I'd be glad to email them to you.
    On another note, when I copied my domain file (from my laptop with Snow Leopard) to my iDisk to transfer to my laptop with Leopard, it wouldn't open at all. This is another new issue for me as I haven't had problems with this in the past.
    So, Snow Leopard appears to have a bug, but even with using Leopard, I am still experiencing the same errors with the blog.
    I just wanted to throw that out there because I really need my website up and running for the first day of school with my students next Thursday. =/

  • How to post Adobe Bridge Gallery to iWeb???

    Hi, I would like to know how to place an adobe bridge gallery into iweb. I want to place it on a blank page so that I can use it as the home page that I will further design around. I did find one other post, however I am not understanding the instructions or its not working. I get something like this:
    happens:
    http://web.me.com/josefsullivan/Screenshot/
    Here are the instructions I'm following:
    If it's MMe upload your Gallery folder to your iDisk/Web/Sites folder and use the following URL to link to it?
    http://web.me.com/YourMMe_Account_Namer/Gallery_FolderName/index.html
    You can embed the gallery into an iWeb page using iFrame code in an HTMl snippet. This is the code:
    <iframe height="XXXpx" allowTransparency="true" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" style="width:XXXpx;border:none" src="http://web.me.com/YourMMe_Account_Namer/Gallery_FolderName/index.html"></iframe>
    Set the height and width so that the gallery is totally embedded in the iWeb page. You may have to widen the iWeb page with the Inspector/Page/Layout pane.
    Don't put the gallery folder inside your iWeb site folder as it may be deleted when you publish site changes. Keep it outside the site's folder.>>>>
    Additionally, my iweb is connected to MobileMe, and I have my own personal domain name which I use instead of the one they give: web.me.com/[yourmembername].
    Thanks for all of your help in advance!

    Correct. Go to the Go menu and select the iDisk ➙ My iDisk... menu option. When the iDisk is mounted on the Desktop go to the iDisk/Web/Sites folder and open it. Then drag the folder into the iDisk/Web/Sites folder.
    Click to view full size
    Then the code you would use in the snippet would be
    <iframe height="XXXpx" allowTransparency="true" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" style="width:XXXpx;border:none" src="http://web.me.com/josefsullivan/test/index.html"></iframe>
    You'll need to set the height and width, in pixels, so the gallery is fully visible.

  • Mobileme photo gallery  and iweb 09 sloooooooow

    Hello All,
    I use iWeb 09 and Mobileme. I have added an embeded mobileme gallery of photos to my page but it soooooo slow in loading. Is there a way to embed a Mobileme photo gallery without the animation? Just have a static cover image.
    I think that would solve the problem.

    Nearly 3,000 "items" need to load.
    A bit overwhelming for any server.
    Make more "Photos" pages to reduce the load.

  • Add Adobe Bridge Web Gallery to iweb

    I had made a Adobe Bridge Web Gallery.
    It woks perfectly fine when I preview the index.html file in the gallery folder.
    After I drop the gallery folder in my site folder,
    and making a photo link to the index.html file. The Web-Browser shows up Blank.
    Hope someone may teach me step-by step after exporting the Bridge Web Gallery in combining with iweb.
    Thanks

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Where are you publishing your site to? MobileMe or a 3rd party server?

  • Trying to embed HTML Gallery into existing page

    I made a small collection in Lightroom and have exported it as an HTML Gallery. I already wrote my site in Dreamweaver, and want to embed this HTML Gallery right into the site -- but everything I have tried comes out wrong. (Results include _nothing_ or a grey box, or a zoomed-in version of the collection with no visible navigational controls.
    It's important that my pre-existing CSS and HTML stay intact. I can't imagine that Adobe is giving us these export capabilities, and then not allowing us to retrofit the HTML Gallery into our own sites. Has anyone succeeded in doing this?

    The standard LR html gallery is always crashing Dreamweaver CS3 on Mac. So no chance to edit there.
    I have no problem embedding using the SimpleViewer gallery using Dreamweaver. Here's a really rough draft of a website I'm building with SimpleViewer embedded:
    http://homepage.mac.com/johnvito/thom_website/simple_gallery.html
    Here's info to help with embedding into an existing html page:
    http://www.airtightinteractive.com/simpleviewer/faq.html
    I haven't had a chance to embed slideshowpro gallery...but their forums are very helpful. Here's a gallery not yet embedded:

  • Embed SlideShowPro for Lightroom in iWeb page?

    I would like to embed a SlideShowPro for Lightroom gallery in an iWeb page.
    Does anyone know if (and how) this would be possible?
    Previously, I have used Soundslides for making photo galleries - getting the embed code is extremely simple and embedding into an iWeb page takes seconds.
    SlideShowPro is proving to be far more difficult...
    Many thanks!

    From the description at [their site|http://slideshowpro.net/products/slideshowpro/slideshowproforlightroom] I learn that it publishes to a webpage.
    +You either export your slideshow to a folder on your hard drive then manually upload it to your web site+
    So you have a webpage you can display in the browser.
    If you want to display it inside a iWeb page, you have to use the HTML Snippet. Paste this line in it
    <iframe src="top.html" frameborder="0" width="100%" height="159" scrolling="no">></iframe>
    The src is the link to your slideshow page and the width and height depend on the size of that slideshowpage.

  • Simpleviewer gallery not showing up

    I created a website in iWeb, which I uploaded through Cyberduck. I also created a Simpleviewer photo gallery through Lightroom 3. I'm having trouble hyperlinking to the gallery through iWeb. I hyperlink to a file, which I choose as the "index" file for the gallery (which is also uploaded into Cyberduck). But when I go to the site through Safari it says, "Safari requires Adobe Flash. If you have Flash installed, click to view gallery." I made sure Flash is installed and this message still shows up and when I click on the second option, Safari thinks for a split second and then nothing happens. I don't have any problems viewing other sites with Flash. Also, I don't have any problems viewing my SImpleviewer gallery locally. I mean when I open the "index" file locally it opens in Safari perfectly. The problem seems to be when it's hyperlinked through iWeb and uploaded through Cyberduck.
    FYI - I had this all done and working perfect for the last couple of years until I bought a new computer and rebuilt what I already had made (didn't transfer over the files). If it helps, the site I'm referring to is www.sambarnhartphotography.com and I'm having problems with the "wedding photography" and "nonwedding photography" hyperlinks.
    Thanks for any help.

    Here's the URL to the SimpleViewer page :
    http://www.sambarnhartphotography.com/site/Home_files/index_2.html
    It's clearly visible where you put the file.
    And again. iWeb is not involved. So you need not emphasize where you put the iWeb site.
    And with custom stuff is meant NON-iWeb stuff. Anything you do not do with iWeb.
    So keep your NON-iWeb stuff OUTSIDE the folder wirth the Sitename. Which is aptly named site.
    And to explain it in simpler terms :
    Put the SimpleViewer folder INSIDE the public_html folder and OUTSIDE the folder with the Sitename.
    Here's a sample iWeb page with a SimpleViewer album with an alternative way to embed it :
         http://home.wyodor.net/cms/Aptana/
    And this is the SimpleViewer album:
         http://home.wyodor.net/cms/iMacPV/
    This is as simple as it can be explained.
    You may have to learn and study.
    PS. Why do you use Cyberduck instead of iWeb's built-in FTP? Life can be so easy.

  • Looking for 'music player' widget to play songs dragged onto iWeb page

    Has anyone found a 'music player' widget that can be embedded into an iWeb page, and that can then load and play the songs that have been dragged onto that page?
    I have found several such widgets that can scan a URL for mp3 files, and I have successfully embedded each of those widgets into an iWeb page using the HTML Snippet, but none of them could find the mp3 files that I dragged onto the page, even though I supplied the widget with the URL for that page.

    Wyodor, I just wanted to let you know that I am having a lot of fun with the WimpyPlayer, and I like the skin you sent me. Thank you so much.
    I've been playing around with it. I had to reduce the height of the widget to fit on my webpage, but when I did, the text became too small to read, so instead, I went into the skin's jpeg and cut out the midsection of the playlist area. Then I had to readjust the playlist's number of lines displayed and its slider size to fit. I also changed the color scheme to match my webpage, and some of the Help tags. All in all, it looks great, and I am very happy with it.
    The one feature I miss from when I was using iWeb's built-in QuickTime player is the ability to have a photo (such as an album cover) displayed with the music. Do you happen to know of any music players that enable you to attach a photo with each track or album?

  • Ical in my Iweb page

    I can not figure out how to put a calendar into my Iweb page since the upgrade. Anyone have any suggestions.

    Martin:
    I don't know if this will work for all viewers but go to our calendar online and set the preferences to have monthly as the default and hit the Apply button. That will set it for you but don't know if it will carry over for other users.
    You can try my embedded calendar in this test page and see if you get weeks or months. I get months when I load the page.
