Encode failed - no problems shown in Check Project. Is there a way to post screen shots of the various information required for other users to have in order to comment meaningfully on what might the various problems might be? I have a document in which I have saved various screen shots of the progress up to the Encode Failure. I also have other projects that have transcoded successfully. Any help is appreciated. This is a new avenue for me, so some protocols may be lacking, but I catch on eventually.

I agree that this is best in the Encore forum, as there are subscribers there, who do not frequent the PrPro forum.
As for the Check Project, that is not really a full "pre-flight," but just a quick look at the navigation in the Project. It does not carry much beyond the basic DVD/BD specs., and leads to a false sense of security. I have filed Feature Requests for a full pre-flight function, but so far - none yet.
Also, the forum has lost the capability to attach files, as some folk were uploading nefarious files. Adobe is said to be working at plugging the "hole," but until they succeed, we are left without that capability - bummer.

Some have found relief just by reinstalling, but it is more than likely incompatible third-party applications that slow it down.
You will have to investigate to see what it is.
Open Activity Monitor and see if anything is using a lot of CPU% or Memory. If they are, check to see if there is an update for them.
Another place to look is the Console. See if anything is logging repeating messages with throttling and/or respawn in the All Messages list.
Sometimes it is not that easy to root out the problems, but if you have anything that purported to clean, protect, optimize, maintain, or flush your system, then that is likely the cause.

For music problem:
Try:

- Reset all settings

For wifi
Does the iOS device connect to other networks?
Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?

leave the phone in rice for >24 hours to see if it will recover
you can check itunes as well to see if there are backups there from the top of the screen hit edit (itunes on mac) > preferences > devices , and see if a backup is listed
also check icloud.com to see if you had any of the information backed up there (only possible if have have a 3gs or higher)
also there are data recovery companies that can recover data even from wrecked hard drives but its not cheap, if your interested in that I would say lookup a company called drivesavers, I believe they are authorized to work on even in warranty iphones

Logical components problem when checking project

I have searched in the forum for a solution, but the people who had the same kind of problem managed to solve it with means that do not work for me.
Here is the situation :
- We have a three tier landscape, DEV-QAS-PRD, in transport domain DOMAIN_A, with domain controller DCA
- We have our Solution Manager system, DCB, which is part of (and domain controller of) transport domain DOMAIN_B
- The two transport domains are linked, as specified in SolMan prerequisites for managing systems from other transport domains. This has been tested, and transports can be forwarded and imported freely from one domain to another.
- I have created the systems, RFC destinations, and logical component for the three tier landscape in SolMan system DCB. The RFCs are all OK.
- I have created the domain controller DCA system in SolMan DCB, with RFC destination to client 0, as defined in the prerequisite for Change Request Management.
- Finally, I have created a project in SolMan system DCB, with this logical component.
When I try to do a Check on this project, in the Change Request management tab, I have green lights everywhere, except for the following :
- In "Check logical components" : No consolidation system found for DEV-040 (our development system)
- In "Check consistency of project" : Message from function module /TMWFLOW/CHECK_PRJ_CONS: No export system for PRD-020 (our production system)
We have checked the TMS settings and transport routes, and everything looks OK.
Any ideas on what to check/try would be welcome.

Hi,
Check the status of the DC's in the track created in CBS.
at following location.
http://url:port/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/tc.CBS.WebUI/WebUI
There should be no Broken DC's in the track.
If every thing is fine here and you still have problems then check by repairing the class path of the component.

I am having a problem with check boxes showing as all selected after downloading as a pdf after individual submits their form with just a few actually selected.

The forms themselves don't have all the boxes checked when viewed in FormsCentral. It is only after I download it as a pdf that the problem occurs. I have to check and uncheck each box in the FormsCentral in order to not have that occur. Any suggestions?

Is there a way I can use a Master with sub-projects on different calendars?

Wondering if I can get some advice creating a Master Project (MSP2013 Standard, no Project Server software). I have 3 projects of which 2 are utilising a Standard calendar 8:00AM to 5:00PM 8hr day 40hr week, and 1 project (the largest) utilising a Customised
calendar 7:30AM to 3:30PM 7.5hr day 37.5hr week.
The dominant project is running on the Customised calendar so I have set the Global Options in the Master to reflect the 7:30AM to 3:30PM 7.5hr day 37.5hr week. Then set the calendar in Master Project Information default to the Customised calendar.
Finally, the resource pool for all 3 projects is in the Master.
No problem when I insert the sub-project into the Master which is using the customised calendar. All data is reflective of the original project. However, when I insert either of the 2 sub-projects using the 40hr week calendar the Summary Headings for
the inserted projects are incorrect. For example, instead of being 2 weeks duration, the summary heading displays 2.13 weeks, and instead of 4 weeks duration, the summary heading displays 4.27 weeks.
The Global settings appear to be interfering with the projects on the Standard calendars. I am surprised and extremely frustrated as I thought the settings in the Master would not affect anything?

Multi screen project, is there a way to play each track in it's own window?

I'm working on a 4 screen video installation... (with 4 seperate monitors arranged around a room)... While I'm doing the editing, I'd love to be able to simulate the 4 screens by having 4 viewer windows open across my desktop, above the timeline... (similiar to the dual screen multiple edits arrangement, but each screen follows a different video layer [V1 goes to the far right window, V2 to the middle right window, V3 to the middle left, V4 to the far left])
We'd rather not have to resize each clip in a single composition, it would be great if it would just assign to different viewer windows based on the track...
This is for the editing process, only, for the installation it will be running off for seperate dvd players...

We have done some jobs for multi-screen in AfterEffects and for checking the sequences side to side you can do the same in FCP.
Create 4 sequences, one for each screen. (Seq 1-4).
Create a fifth sequence (seq 5) four times wide (for PAL 4x720=2880).
From the Browser window, drag Seq 1 in to Seq 5 V1
From the Browser window, drag Seq 2 in to Seq 5 V2
From the Browser window, drag Seq 3 in to Seq 5 V3
From the Browser window, drag Seq 4 in to Seq 5 V4
Alt-double click Seq 1 on V1 and apply Basic Motion > Center H. -1080
Alt-double click Seq 2 on V2 and apply Basic Motion > Center H. -360
Alt-double click Seq 3 on V3 and apply Basic Motion > Center H. 360
Alt-double click Seq 3 on V3 and apply Basic Motion > Center H. 1080
Now you can check on Seq 5 the relationship between each edit on Seq. 1-4 (you may have to render for playback).

Is there a way I can use my macbook to project the audio and visual on my apple tv?

I just purchase an apple tv. It was my goal to use the apple tv to match video tutorials of a certian website onto my tv. I am now realizing that I do not think this is possible correct? To clarify it is a website that is vimeo, youtube, or anything like that; hence, I can not just log into my account to one of those apps an start watching.
I assuming my only option is purchase one of the those RCA cables that would transmit what is on my macbook into the tv, correct?
I am amazed that that airplay does not exist exist for a macbook unless its through itunes...

Only the three computers count for iTunes Store authorization. This isn't the same as iTunes Match or automatic downloads, for which 10 devices can be associated.

Both my wife an i have still have an iphone 3g. i can use my itunes on my laptop but she has problem with her laptop where her itunes is located...is there a way of her using the itunes from my laptop even though her itunes is not on my laptop ?

It's not easy to switch the library a device is attached to. If possible you should backup the library from your wife's laptop and restore to an alternate location on your computer. If you can't manage that right now (note a laptop drive can often be mounted in an external drive bay to extract data from it even if the operating system is hosed) then this is an alternative approach...
You should be able to:
Backup the device to your computer.
Transfer the purchases into a library authorized for the accounts used on the device.
Recover any other media using third party tools as suggested in this post from forum regular Zevoneer.
Restore the device from the backup.
This process should switch the association of the device to the new library, preserving the data and settings in your apps.
May also be prudent to attempt a backup to iCloud directly from the device before you start... Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > iCloud Backup > On. It won't save any media but it would preserve the general account settings and documents in case anything goes wrong while you are trying to extract your other data.
When you get it all fixed, make a backup!

I was looking for a way to project my presentation at our church from my laptop windows and MacAir. Every Sunday, before we start our services, I have to run an ethernet cable from my laptop near the choir stand to the two big projectors (using VGA cables) and this is a lot of preparation, so I was thinking, is there a way to just use wirelessly so I went to the apple store (by the way our church does not have any wifi connectivity) and gave them my scenario and they suggested me to buy the Apple TV and since there is no wireless connection,I bought also the Airport Express so that my Ipad, Iphone and MacAir could communicate wirelessly. But I have always just use mirroring, is there another way to project wirelessly aside from mirroring?

If your wireless speakers are AirPlay-enabled, then yes ... otherwise no.

Exporting widescreen DV project to Media Encoder Fails

This is my first attempt at exporting a video using CS4's media encoder, and when I try, the encoder app seems to not be able to "find" or load the Premiere CS4 sequence. It seems to fail after a few minutes, during which the status of the job is "Waiting" and at the bottom it says "Loading xxxxx.prproj".
Any thoughts? I'm on an i5 iMac with the CS4 Production suite installed.
Here's the error it gives:

Thanks to some points in this thread, I have solved my problem.
It was the KNOLL LIGHT FACTORY plug-in. I removed it, and the Adobe Media Encoder now works on my system. I assume that DYNAMIC LINKING between the CS4 apps also now works, but have yet to test that.
This also explains why my CS4 suite works on my MacBook Pro; I never installed KLF on my laptop.
Now I need to tell RED GIANT SOFTWARE about this problem, and either get a solution from them, or a refund.

One of my user is facing issue in creating new time sheet,
"The time sheet creation failed, because of problems with the project server or with data validations".
This issue is coming to only few members out of 10000 members.
Note: For the same user, can able to do in other machines. only the problem in his machine. Have ran the office diagnostics, but still the problem persists.
Is any add-on's/any settings need to update in IE. Could any one please help me on how to fix this issue?

I would check the compatibility settings in IE etc, or try another browser (chrome, safari etc.)
