Encoding of data sent to server

hello, i have problem with encoding of czech chars, all source code is utf-8 encoded, in each page i have <%@ page contentType="text/html; charset=UTF-8"%>, chars shown in page are shown correctly but if i fill some text field and send data to server so the data are not correct, it means in struts action i get not correct data from form bean
thanks a lot

There are multiple ways...Temporarily, you can turn on the RFC trace function for the RFC destination in question then view the RFC log file.  You can use a log point in your custom program and switch it on or off as needed and view the log point file which contains each individual table or variable with values.  Or simply, you can write the data to the spool (or an additional spool) based on a trace parameter on the selection screen.

  • Unwrap not unwraping all  data sent from server

    java client server NIO ssl
    At server end send about 50 packets are written using this method:
    sendPacket(String packet)
    writeBuffer = charSet.encode(packet);
    c.ssl.outNetBB.clear();
    c.ssl.engine.wrap(writeBuffer, c.ssl.outNetBB);
    c.ssl.outNetBB.flip();
    //write message to socket channel
    while (c.ssl.outNetBB.hasRemaining())
    socketChannel.write(c.ssl.outNetBB);
    At the client end I read all these packets:
    inNetBB.clear();
    int bytesread = socketChannel.read(inNetBB);
    inNetBB.flip();
    requestBB.clear();
    res = engine.unwrap(inNetBB, requestBB);
    It seems like all the 50 packets are read into inNetBB 6000 bytes
    But the unwrap only consumes 70 bytes and produces 100
    This first 100 bytes is unencrypted correctly and corresponds exactly to one write of the 50 from the server. I dont know why.
    Why am I getting only the first packet of the 50 sent??
    [  Ive tried : while inNtBB.hasRemaining for repeated unwraps
    but only the first packet is output still ]
    TIA
    pbutler

    If I'm reading this right, you're writing (wrapping) about 50 separate SSL packets, and then unwrapping just one.
    Recall:
    The SSLEngine produces/consumes complete SSL/TLS packets only, and
    does not store application data internally between calls to wrap()/unwrap().So it looks to me like you need to keep unwrapping the rest of your 5930 bytes to get the remainder of the application data.
    [ Ive tried : while inNtBB.hasRemaining for repeated unwraps
    but only the first packet is output still ]Are you inadvertantly clearing the inNtBB before you call your additional unwraps?
    If you have lots of small packets, you might want to consider buffering them up and wrapping them to the SSLEngine/SocketChannel all at once. You'll pay less in overhead.

  • FTP in CS3 - no data sent to server

    Hi, I am no nearer solving my earlier problem, but this is
    just a plea to see in anyone out there has had a similar
    experience...
    Since Tuesday, when I uploaded some updates, things stopped
    working, in strange ways, on the site. Suddenly, sometimes the
    stylesheets were disregarded, pages went blank, images disappeared,
    the flash stopped reading files. Today I worked out that this was
    because FTP was not working - well not well anyway - it setup a
    filename for every item on the server, but some items were left
    with no data, though the progress bar reported things happening and
    obviously the remote file list looked fine.
    I have just transferred the site with an old version of
    AceFTP - which all went over first time no problem... is this an
    ISP problem or do I have a bug on both my laptop and my desktop -
    or somewhere... This has cost me three days so far, I really need
    to get things working reliably.
    Any suggestion welcome.

  • Nio write problem: server data sent isn't fully read by client

    Hi everyone,
    still writing away with my nio server and once again have run into
    some problems. Essentially my main problem is that when the server
    writes to the client, the write appears to output all the bytes in the
    write operation, but the client never accepts them all, even if a
    buffer has been manually allocated to the correct size of the data.
    As background my server will accept connections. When a connection
    is established I register OP_READ on the key. When a OP_READ trigger
    occurs the server accepts the clients request, processes it, then
    attaches the output to the SelectionKey as a ByteBuffer that has
    already been encoded. At this point I then register OP_WRITE on that
    SelectionKey (as a side note i'm running this server on XP and had
    read that registering OP_READ and OP_WRITE on the same selector was
    bad, but then it looked like there was a work around to this) and wait
    for an OP_WRITE trigger.
    When an OP_WRITE occurs on that key I run a new method (with heavy
    influences from the thread: http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jsp?forum=11&thread=530825 and the taming the nio circus thread) which will grab the attachment and attempt to send it. The code has been written that IF the send cannot complete it should re-attach the remaining bytebuffer to the key and wait for another OP_WRITE to occur so it can send the remainder.
    The problem is that whenever I write (and for this test the amount im writing is approx 10100 bytes) the server appears to send it all (by checking the int returned from socketchannel.write()), but at the client end it never reads all the data that is sent.
    If i'm using a blocking socket client, then I get a java.net.SocketException: Connection Reset exception, whilst if i'm using a non-blocking client, I get no exception, just not the whole amount of data, even when i've statically allocated a receiving bytebuffer that is big enough.
    The following code is a class that is used to do the writing from the server:
       /* code for nio write model referenced from:

    If you've gotten this far thanks a bunch for reading :)
    Cheers,
    Pete

    Hi Meesum,
    thanks for the reply :)
    I'm not convinced this is the error - as i've got two clients listed there, and the odd behaviour from both is that neither is getting through to the last of the data that is sent.
    If the null were the problem (which is only checked for in the basic dumb blocking client) i'd be expecting some sort of infinite loop or wait for more data from the server, not an abnormal termination (ala connection reset) from the server. I'll give it a shot anyhow, but I know that under a blocking write operation that that code worked fine.
    Thanks again though for the post, has got some of my cogs slowly turning :)
    Cheers,
    Pete

    Hi Rammohan,
    You cannot use OPEN DATASET to transfer data from application server to presentation server.
    You can do the following :
    <b>Do 1st point in BACKGROUND</b>
    1. Read the data file from application server into an internal table using OPEN DATASET
    <b>Do 2nd point in Foreground</b>
    2. Once you get the data into an internal table, then use FM GUI_DOWNLOAD to download it on presentation server
    You cannot use the above 2 point together in Background because its not possible. Hence you need program it partially in background and partially in foreground.

    HI,
    Use this FM SAP_CONVERT_TO_XML_FORMAT to convert the data to XML format and then upload the convert data from the internal table to Application server.

  • Re: (forte-users) Delays in data transfer..server-to-client

    I would try using DOM (distributed object manager) traces. trc:do:20 will
    give you information on each messages sent from and received by the
    partition. Levels are 1, 2, 5, 7, and 8, and trc:do:*:8 is very
    verbose. trc:do:20:1 may tell you what you want to know. trc:do:1:1 will
    give you a basic 1-line-per DOM event trace that may also be all you need.
    Communications manager traces will tell you about network and socket-level
    activity, but not about the sizes of the messages themselves. In addition,
    the operating system makes decisions about physical packet size and
    send/receive timing, so CM activities only generally map to actual network
    activity.

    We are using input/output between client and server, input on all the SO's
    within a partition. Response on the server side is good, roughly 6 seconds or
    so. The round trip fare however from the time the client makes the SO call to
    the time that it completes is in the 25-30 second range, leaving roughly 20-25
    seconds unaccounted for. I have brought in the network guys who are

    Jeff,
    If the object you are passing does not require changes made to it in the
    server partition to be returned, pass the object as copy input (pass by
    value not reference). If it is necessary to pass the object as input, try
    to pass only the attributes that are required to the remote partition
    instead of the whole object.
    Input/Output is normaly used with scalar variables. When a scalar is passed
    to a remote partition, if the value is changed in that partition, the value
    is not returned to the calling partition unless Input/Output is used.
    Input/Output should not be used for object type parameters, if you need to
    pass a reference, use Input only. If you can pass by value, use Copy Input.
    You will notice a huge difference in performance changing from Input to Copy
    input when passing large objects.
    Hope this helps,

  • Date Sent not showing in Sent Mail

    After a certain date, using Mail application, the Date (sent) is not showing in the header along with To & From & Subject. Why?
    I have tried to get it to show using view prefs. Doesn't work.
    I have changed to using a network time server. Doesn't work.
    I've tried moving it to another folder. Doesn't work.
    I need the date to show so when I print, I have proof of date and time sent...
    Anyone?

    Not sure about the time stamp problem, but the missing "Sent" mails problem is not uncommon. This problem is one that a lot of people have and in my opinion, I think it's a problem with Apple's mail application, nothing at the user's end.
    Does this happen only when you include an attachment or does that matter? Also, does it only happen when your outgoing message is delayed a bit? Check your junk/spam folder to see if your sent messages went in there.
    This doesn't fix anything, but you might change your e-mail settings so that all new mails are automatically sent Bcc to yourself.
    Sometimes the "missing" sent mails are not going in the right folder. I'm sure you probably already know, but in the left-hand column in MAIL, under Mailboxes, there is a second "sent" folder way at the bottom, depending on your other e-mail accounts, such as Yahoo or Gmail). Many people have discovered their missing "sent" e-mails in those.
    It is a big hassle, for sure, and has been officially reported. Users with complaints are being told that Apple's Intrusion Detection and Prevention (IDP) systems block the connection from a user's e-mail client when it attempts to store outgoing e-mails, which contain attachments, to the users'  sent folder.
    This is supposedly due to the Mac OS/Mac Mail sending non-standard or erroneous commands to the server, emulating the activity which would be generated by an attacker attempting to abuse an exploit in the IMAP server. I doubt you are doing anything wrong, so it's just a matter of waiting for them to FIX this annoying issue.

  • Uploading the data to application server

    Hi,
    I have created a report.In the selection screen I have created 2 check boxes(screen,server).If I click on the screen check box the o/p should be displayed on the screen.If I click on the server checkbox the o/p should be sent to the application server.How can I send the data to application server?

    Hi Hema,
    Since the location that you have mentioned is some outside the systema nd no the Application Server,this third party location can be done only when there is some other T-code that has been integrated with the system.
    If in case,you want to send the data to the Presentation server when you clikc on the Checkbox for it, and else,it should save it on the Applicaton server ,the code is mentioned below:

  • Post data 2kb to server failed

    hi:
    My app send image to server and it works well with nokia phones , but not with sony ericsson phones.
    The se phones post data in chunked encoding when data size more then 2kb, there seems no chance to make changes to client behavior.
    My server is tomcat 4.1 , it claims to support http1.1 and chunked encoding.
    then why?
    There many post about this topic, but no good or reasonable solution to this.
    What can i do about this? Any advice?
    best regards

    I have run into the same problem on other handsets as well (Nokia, etc.)
    We found two solutions:
    1) The version of apache we were using (1.3?) would not accept chunked POSTs. We upgraded to the latest version (2.2.3?) and magically our chunked POSTS were accepted by the server. I believe this support was added in v2.2 of apache.
    2) You can also roll your own custom imlementation of HTTP POST that operates over sockets. I had to do this once on a BREW handset that refused to send more than 1.5k (total) of POST data.
    Hope this helps,
    Sam
