Encryption of body's first child (method name) in Doc Literal Wrapped

G'day all,
I created a sample, where the service requires an encrypted input element (body's first child), which is the method name in document literal wrapped web services.
I added few more operation to the SEI to make it more interesting scenario. It worked rightly.
I am curious to know how WebService engine picks the security policy rightly? Since the on the wire shows EncryptedData element instead of input message name.
Also, I added @Policy annotation description on the Impl Class level. Is it going to work or fail if I add different @Policy annotations to each WebMethod level and have encryption of the input element?
With Regards,
Mayank

• SSDT vs 2013 and Clr function, call a Clr method name dynamically using SQLCMD variables

Hello,
My question is this, hopefully this makes sense:
How could I got about doing this, inside a SQL function, I would like to re-name the Clr method call based on a SQLCMD variable?
I have a Clr project to encrypt/decrypt data, there are different method names depending on the deployment types.
For the definition of a function called dbo.EncryptThis, I would like to use a SQLCMD variable to change the name depending on SQLCMD variables. This works fine in SQL Server Mgmt studio, but VS 2013 fails to recognize the SQLCMD variable and the build fails
with: "Error
1
SQL71521: A method with a matching signature was not found in the loaded assembly.".
THis code works fine in SQL Server Mgmt Studio, but fails to build in the SSDT project.
In the SSDT project I have the SQLCMD variable defined and think I have SQLCMD mode enabled, by doing this:
Right click file > Execution Settings > SQLCMD mode
CREATE FUNCTION [dbo].[EncryptData]
(@str NVARCHAR (MAX))
RETURNS NVARCHAR (MAX)
AS
EXTERNAL NAME [CryptoClrAssembly].[LibName].[EncryptData$(MethodName)]
Is this even possible in SSDT? or would I have to do this in a post-deploy script?

Hi Kevin,
Thanks for the info.
Bummer, so the only other solution I have is to create a post-deploy script to change the function based on a SQLCMD variable or other logic?
What would be really cool, would be if during the build process the SQLCMD variables would get replaced with the default value to the SQLCMD variable, thus would allow to build the project. Also, during deployment, if someone entered an incorrect method
from the assembly it would just fail.

• Using oc4j to generate interfaces from wsdl produced improper method names

The method names that were produced from the opperations in my WSDL, generated an interface file with incorrect method names. The name went from "DoTest" in the wsdl to "doTest" in the Interface file.
I double checked and all the cases are correct in the wsdl.

Obviously one could rename the operation to that standard, but that doesn't exactly strike me as being anything other that a work around for a bug.
WSDL provides a contract in which multiple languages have to conform to a set of interfaces, and it's not exactly good to have a tool, just a assume the contract for an interface is wrong.
I could argue that I'm only doing Java on the front end and .Net on the client side and that they don't neccessarily follow the Java convention, nor should be constrained by it.
I do agree with you that they probably just followed the convention when writing to code generator and just happened to pick up the convention. They just need to fix it now.

• I need to get the tagName after a node of the first child of the Root

Hi All,
I need to get the TagName of the Node immediete after the Root. I won't know what is the TagName, and based on the Tagname only I can process the records.
For example I might receive a SALES object or a MARKETING object wrapped under the root.
eg.
<PARENT>
<SALES>
</SALES>
</PARENT>
or
<PARENT>
<MARKETING>
</MARKETING>
</PARENT>
I tried to using like this
DocumentBuilder documentBuilder = documentBuilderFactory.newDocumentBuilder();
File file = new File("c:/example.xml");
document = documentBuilder.parse(file);
Node node = document.getDocumentElement().getFirstChild();
System.out.println("node Name:" +node.getNodeName());
System.out.println("node Value:" +node.getNodeValue());
It returns only something like #text, but I need the response like 'SALES'.
Can anyone let me know if im missing something somewhere.
thanks in advance,
Harish

That's because the first child of the document element is that whitespace text node between <PARENT> and <SALES>. You need to scan through the children of the document element until you find one that is an Element node.

• Recurse xml remove all but first child

Hi,
I've tried searching for a solution and tried to adapt the code i found but I'm stuck.
I simply want to:
Delete all children bar the first child of all elements named "gr_name".
I've been looking at Remove xml element using JS[CS3] and got some inspiration.
I have the below code, which works if there is only two child elements.
If there is three or more I have to rerun the code which removes more elements.
I would very much appreciate if someone can help me locate the error or indicate what is missing.
var myDoc = app.activeDocument;
Table_Remove (myDoc);
function Table_Remove(elm)
for (var i = 0; i < elm.xmlElements.length; i++)
if(elm.xmlElements[i].markupTag.name == "gr_table")
for (var i2 =1; i2 < elm.xmlElements[i].xmlElements.length; i2++)
elm.xmlElements[i].xmlElements[i2].remove();
Table_Remove(elm.xmlElements[i]);

Thanks a lot!
I understand now.
while (this.getComponentCount() > 3) {this.remove(3);}
The JPanel's index-table is updated after removal of a component. The component at index 57 (for instance) is no longer at index 57 after removal of a component before index 57. That's why it removed every other component.

These two options display the User ID (i.e. User name is Jon Smith. there ID is COMP/JSMITH.
Using the two methods above the ID (COMP/JSMITH) is displayed. Is there a way I could display Jon Smith?
I thought their might be a way to use Full Name or First and Last Name.

like:
class OtherClass{

//if the method name is "test1" do this
//else do that
}It´s not possible for me the provide parameters. Does the jre provide me such information somehow?
Thanks in advance for answers.

No. You could do something like:
Throwable t = new Throwable();
t.fillInStackTrace();
StackTraceElement[] stack = t.getStackTrace();
String invokingClass = stack.length < 2 ? null : stack[1].getClassName();
String invokingMethod = stack.length < 2 ? null : stack[1].getMethodName();- Saish

• Xpath: get attributes from first child node

Hi,
I have some problems by getting the attributes from the first child node, if i try to get child elements everything works fine, but whenever i need the elementvalue from a node with attributes i doesn't return anything.

• Which java keyword cannot be used inside the body of a static method?

Which java keyword cannot be used inside the body of a static method, but may be used without problems in a non-static method?

But javac doesn't complain. So I was not partially wrong -- I was completely wrong.It's still better not to use the "this", though. When you explictly reference a static member via an instance reference (theFoo.bar or this.bar, as opposed to Foo.bar) the JLS requires a check that the reference is non-null. Clearly "this" is always non-null, but javac still puts in half of the check. Take the simple class public class Test {
static int field;
public void setField(int i) {this.field=i;}
public void staticSetField(int i) {field=i;}
} and observe the bytecodes produced: $ javap -c Test
Compiled from "Test.java"
public class Test extends java.lang.Object{
static int field;
public Test();
Code:
0:   aload_0
1:   invokespecial   #1; //Method java/lang/Object."<init>":()V
4:   return
public void setField(int);
Code:
0:   aload_0
1:   pop
2:   iload_1
3:   putstatic       #2; //Field field:I
6:   return
public void staticSetField(int);
Code:
0:   iload_1
1:   putstatic       #2; //Field field:I
4:   return
}The JIT will get rid of it, but you may as well avoid the waste in the first place. (And if you really do want to check that the reference is non-null, do the check explicitly so that maintainers know it's intentional).

• Re: Method name and/or line number available from withinForte?

To my knowledge there is no such capability with forte, and for sure it
would be nice. Short
of storing all that metadata at runtime, a compile-time substitution such
as is done with
most C preprocessors would work as well.
However, I believe the solution you've identified falls short in a deployed
fashion - I think
all that method name/line number stuff is only available from the workshop...

I'm sure you all know what I'm getting at by now -- when raising your own

immediately catch it and extract the method and line number from it. Is

• Extracting method names from JNI probes

Hello.
I would like to use the Call* probes from the hotspot_jni provider. These probes provide as argument a "method id". My question is how I can extract, for instance, the method name from this ID. I saw that JNI provides a method "GetMethodName" but being a dtrace novice, I am unsure how to obtain a handle to the JNI api from within dtrace.
Any hint would be greatly appreciated.
Best wishes,
Eric

Actually, it can be done. Otherwise, how do you think debugger shows variables and formal parameters?
You should compile your aplication with debuginng information (for details see tools doc). Then you have 3 options:
1) run application under debugger and use JVMDI to get everything you want;
2) use bytecode libraries (BCEL, CGLib etc) to read class file and fetch required information through their API
3) write your own class file parser based on class file format described in Java Virtual Machine Specification
First way is quite complex and is definitely not for "production use".
Second way is the best in case you have time limitations, but size of your application will be increased because of thrid-party libraries.
Thrid way is the best if you have application size restrictions and have enough time to write simple class file parser to fetch that specific information (1-2 days depending on your experience).
Have fun ;)

Your best bet, if you do not need the entire tree, is to use the
SAX interface to return the desired data. Since it is event
driven it does not have to parser the while document.

Kindly help me to resolve this error?

Form Server has nothing to do with Reader Extensions (you must be running an orchestration that uses a Forms Call then a RE call). Lets validate that each component is installed correctly. Can you open the Reader Extensions UI and apply rights to a file?
Use this URL to get to the UI:
http://servername:portNUmber/ReaderExtensions
Note that you will need the rights to log in .....use administrator for now.

• Channel URL to contain object and method name

Hi,
There are many WEB features and filters that are based on the URL path or paramters.
BlazedDS uses the same URL to send all the remote object calls.
I can add more and more channels and map each remote object to one of the channels but it doesn't scale and even with it all the methods on the same object will look the same.
I know that the binary body contains the service name and method name , but this is not enough .
I need to have the URL path/ parameters to contain the service and method names.
Is there any way to control the URL in the remote method beside of the set channel?
Shlomo.

OK,
I think I found the way.
The API of the RemoteObject presents the endPoint property:
'"This property allows the developer to quickly specify an endpoint for a RemoteObject destination without referring to a services configuration file at compile time or programmatically creating a ChannelSet. It also overrides an existing ChannelSet if one has been set for the RemoteObject service."
It means that before every call to a method I can set the end point to something like "http://.../messagebroker/amf?serice=MyService&method=MyMethod...

• Strange Code Sample without method name

I have come across this code sample in a test. I answered that, it gives compile errors, coz theres a block of code without any method name, which prints "nothing".
But I tried to compile and run it, which put me in surprise. It compiled and executed. I did not understand how it worked and whats the concept behind this.
Can anyone dig into details or share knowledge if already know this.
Heres the code:
public class Test1
public static void main(String args[]){
new Test1();
System.out.println("main...");
new Test1("2222");
Test1(){
System.out.println("in constr 1");
Test1(String s){
System.out.println("in constr 2 :" + s);
System.out.println("nothing...");
static{
System.out.println("static...");
}

>      {
System.out.println("nothing...");
static{
System.out.println("static...");
}Those are initializer blocks; The static block is executed when the
class has been loaded; the first block is executed just before a
constructor for that class is called.
kind regards,
Jos
