Enhancing the ALV export option in webdynpro.

Hello Experts,
I have a requirement where in i have to enhance the possibility of exporting the ALV output data in some other format but not in excel.
as of now in webdynpro ALV output we have a option of exporting the output data in microsoft excel format and we do not see any other option in drop down.
can any one help me if this is really possible, if yes then how would we achieve this?
Thanks in advance,
RaJ.

Hi Rajesh,
Please check this Blog..
/people/chris.paine2/blog/2010/06/11/using-wd-abap-alv-export--the-hacked-way
We have another standard option export to PDF also.
If you dont want to use Standard export to excel and to use custom button to export to anyformat.
follow this..
- convert your output data which you have in the internal table to STRING DATA.
- next convert this string data to XSTRING using the following function module SCMS_STRING_TO_XSTRING.
- use the method to export to excel or whatever is the application.
cl_wd_runtime_services=>attach_file_to_response(
     i_filename = lv_file_name
     i_content = i_content
      i_mime_type = lv_appln_type
*i_mime_type = 'x-excel/application'
     i_in_new_window = abap_false
     i_inplace = abap_false ).
Lv_appln_type is whether u want excel or word or wordpad or notepad.
cheers,
Kris.

  • How to remove the ALV Statistics option from Accounts user's userids

    Dear Sir/Madam,
    In our Accounts department each time one extra page is comming out. When the ALV Statistics option is make Unchecked, then it funtioninng normally that is, single page is comming out.
    Is there any way to make this option permanently Unchecked ? If possible please advice and also whether there will be any unwanted implications of it ?
    Please advice.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Pranab

    Option 1 - Use SAP Report RSPRIPARADMIN you can set this for all users
    Option 2  - user parameter SP01_FROM   0000000002 - This means print job will start from page 2
    Option 3 - List -> Print -> click to properties button in print window -> expend cover sheets -> double click on ALV statistics , now uncheck the ALV statistics check box . now click on setting button and click on copy setting button

  • How to enhance the Excel export from Crystal Reports

    Hello,
    I am new in Crystal Reports and I wonder if it is possible to enhance the Excel export from Crystal Reports with post-processing that would be applied to the Excel exported file.
    By example, is it possible to freeze the window panes, so rows and columns are frozen in place on the screen?
    Is there any possibility to obtain the file exported to excel to work with.
    Or maybe there is some ways to parametrize the Excel export from Crystal Reports?
    Any suggestions are welcomed.

    If you are using Crystal Reports 2008 you can use the Report Application SDK that is now available.
    It has a object called PrintOutputController that has an export method that allows you to get access to the exported file before you send it to the user.
    Check the Developer library and the samples for details.

  • Why don't I have the DCP export option in Adobe Premiere Pro?

    Why don't I have the DCP export option in Adobe Premiere Pro?
    Premiere Pro CC v7.2.2

    I will reply to my own question!
    I was on my Windows machine when I began producing my video. During Export, I wasn't able to package it. After a few hours of research I found that Wraptor DCP is not supported (yet) on Windows platforms. I switched over to my Macbook Pro and viola!
    DCP'ing all day long now!

  • Enhancing the ALV report for IW59

    Hi,
    Can anybody suggest a means by which we can enhance the IW59 ALV report to add the display of some custom fields that are added into the table QMEL through the custom include option.
    Currently the exit 'IWOC0004' do not allow the addition of custom fields but only change the fieldcat of existing fields.

    Thanks Pete Atkin ,
    This is awesome, It works for me!!
    You have any idea how to enhance selection screen. I do see "ENHANCEMENT-POINT" option but looking is there any other better solution.

  • What is the best export option for a slide show made with Premiere Pro?

    I have just made a slide show, 3 minutes, some music and 3 slides.
    I exported it for youtube with 10fps.
    The file ended up with 35 Mb.
    Isnt there an export option that allows less fps resulting in a much smaller file size?

    What frame size are you exporting to?
    There is likely a way to get it a little smaller. I will play around with it and see what I can come up with.
    Post a screen shot of your export settings. We might be able to spot a problem.
    Edit: Well, at 1920X1080 a 3 minute slide show starts to fall apart at less than 30MB or so. The bitrate drops to the point where the images are not clear. Anything under about 1Mbps is just too noisy. I used H.264. There might be a better choice for slideshows.

  • What is the best export option for video podcasting purposes?

    Although Quicktime has an "Export to iPod" option, I was wondering if there was any better means to export from FCP or Quicktime for purposes of podcasting and YouTube posting to ensure best quality while containing file size.
    Thank you for your help!

    Felix,
    use Compressor.
    1)Look into Settings presets, towards the bottom. You have several options and the best for you comes from testing a few, just a few seconds each.
    2)In inspector you can customize settings further.
    Have fun,
    G.

  • Remove the Crystal Reports (.rpt) Export Option from IE Viewer

    When I click the "export" button from my IE Crystal Viewer the first export option is "Crystal Reports".  I need to get rid of that option as I don't want my clients to export my report to an .rpt file.
    How do I manage this list in .Net 2005?  I know there is a file that needs to be modified but I just don't know which one.

    When you click on Export button a window should pop up which contains a dropdown for all formats.
    As you are not getting dropdown.The .js file is not correct.Copy the same file from some other machine of same version or
    You can try with making changes in export.js file.
    Path of export.js file is :
    C:\WINDOWS:\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\ASP.NET ClientFiles\CrystalReportWebformViewer3\JS\export.js
    Create backup of that file before editing.
    Hope this helps!!

  • How to export data from webdynpro to Excel and start a Excel macro

    Hello All
    I want to export data displayed in the Web dynpro ALV into Excel. I have tried the ALV export function but my problem with it is when it does export to excel the data loses formatting and I have long text in columns which display with wrapping in ALV but when exported to excel it loses formatting.
    So I want to define a custom button and when user presses on this button the excel export is called with a macro. Can you kindly share ideas how I can do this from a webdynpro.
    Thanks
    Karen

    Hi friends!
    I have followed the following:
    http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs;jsessionid=(J2EE3417300)ID1487994050DB10407586481486749551End?blog=/pub/wlg/5522
    ...in order to create standard ALV with Export to Excel.
    However what is exported into excel is awful. It does not contain my data in nice columns... Instead it shows a lot of meta-data.
    Please let me know what to do to kick the standard Export button in the correct direction.. that is...to have my nice table in same way in Excel, because that is my intention with "Export to excel"
    Best reg
    Henrik

  • CR2008 SP3 - Export options

    Environment:
    OS: Windows XP (SP3)
    Crystal Reports : 12.1.0.892
    We are making use of Report Viewer in our applciations (.Net)
    And when we want to export to Excel 2007 and CSV we are not able to find options.
    We can see only Excel (97-2003) and other options.
    How we can get export to CSV and Excel 2007 (.xlsx)

    Not sure why that would be the case. See the wiki [Available Export Formats, Crystal Reports 9.1 to Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2010|http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/x/FINiAw] for more details.
    Three things I'd like to mention / recommend
    1) You are on CR 2008 Service Pack 1. Update to SP4 by installing, then installing SP4. Service packs can be found on the downloads page:
    http://service.sap.com/sap/bc/bsp/spn/bobj_download/main.htm
    2) Note from the wiki that the some export options are not available via the viewer, but are available via the engine (not sure if this is the case here).
    3) For an exporting sample app see vbnet_win_export.zip from this location:

    Why would an export to html, which has for many months  performed correctly, suddenly start producing the "Invalid export options" error?Our application is a Microsoft Dynamics GP third party add-on, developed in Dexterity ( The MS Dynamics GP native development tool) and using a home-grown .NET component to export reports to HTML.In our scenario we have a production environment where three reports are produced each evening, exported to HTML, and then published via FTP.
