I want to select the values from Maint.View.
How will do?

hi Pooja,
You can see the values from SE16 or SM30 (provided you have created a maintenance generator for this maintenance view).
Steps to create maintenance generator:
1->go to se11, enter view name and click change button
2->navigate to <b>Utilities->Table Maintenance Generator</b>
3->Enter a function group (you create function groups from SE37)
4->choose appropriate authorization group
5->enter a screen number (starting with 9)
6->choose maintenance type as <b>one step</b>
7->create

Hi mamai,
First create a two internal tables ( nodes) itab1 & itab 2 with your required structure in component controller.
Then bind the itab1 with view1 controller context.
bind the itab2 with view2 controller context. and create a tables in both views and bind with itab1 and itab2 respectively.
after getting the itab1 data, use the below code in wddoinit method of view2.
data: count type i,
pos type i value 1.
Count = lo_nd_itab1->get_element_count( ).
do count times.
to copy the selected records
if lo_nd_itab1->is_selected( index = pos ) = abap_true.
lo_el_itab1 = lo_nd_itab1->get_element( index = pos ).

How to bind a user selected value to a view object bind variable?

Hi
I have two pages in ADF BC application. In the first page ,i will give a drop down menu to user which displays all the table names in my databse.
when the user selects a table and goes to the second page..he should be given a menu or a check list of all the columns in the user selected table....
to display the columns i have used the query
Select COLUMN_NAME from user_tab_columns where table_name = : table_name in the view object.
now how to bind the user selected table value in the first page to the table_name bind variable in view object ?

Hi,
depends on how the select box is implemented. With ADF and ADF Faces, the default value selection is the list index. In a value change listener you could look up the selected value from the underlying iterator. Store this value e.g. in a session attribute and point the NDValue of the ExecuteWithParams operation to #{sessionScope.your_attribute}

How to refresh page after selecting value from LOV item , in a tabular form

Hi ,
I have a tabular form, which contains 2 items(columns), of type "Select List - named LoV".
Now, couple of issues here.
1.
2nd item(column) in tabular form, that LoV should get populated based user's selection value in first item LoV. So how do i refer to the value, that user selected in first item's LoV? I will have to use this reference in LoV query of my 2nd item ( on this tabular form)
2.
How can we refresh the page, when user selectes value in first item ( from LoV). As this is a tabular form, here item type is Select List, we dont have an option to pick item type as Select List with Submit. So problem is that when user selects value for item 1, refresh does not happen and item 2 LoV does not get populated as per user's selection in item 1.
Please help here. Would be really appreciated.

Ben, your solution helped me with refresh of page, as page got submitted.
This answers to my 2nd question. However, I still need to know first question, which basically is, how do i refer to the value, that user selected in first item LoV.
Issue is, I selected the value in first item LoV, it got submitted and page fot refreshed. But after page refresh, first item LoV loses its value that I had selected last time. It does not retain the selected value after refresh.
I have an unconditional process, that on every submit(refresh) of page, I set my items with their corresponding values. But problem is what do i mention there to refer to this item.
I looked in view source of my page, this item is referred as f03.
So i used "apex_application.g_f03", to set this item to its value, in my uncoditional submit process. But it did not work. I tried to refer this item as "f03" in this unconditional submit process. But still it did not help, the selected item loses its value after page refresh(submit).
Any help here would be really appreciated. Please suggest how do we refer to this item's selected value.

How to get selected values from af:selectManyCheckbox

EVS - how to get selected values back into model?

Hi all!
I am new to WebDynpro but Ive got a closer look to the tutorials but since I didnt found a hint for my problem I try it this way! The situation is the following:
I am using selector fields to support the user with some constants to choose from but it is still possible to enter the data directly into the input field.
I followed the tutorial for this purpose with the difference that I initialized the selector fields with data coming from the model. This happens in the wdDoInit() of the view controller.
The problem is how to get the selected value back into the model without forcing the user to use the F4-Help or trigger a onEnter event on the input field.
Due to the modification of the data type at runtime I cant bind the attribute of the view context holding the selected value to another one of a custom controller context.
I hope there is a simple solution because I am just asking for a common functionality on a web site.

My idea was to use OVS instead of EVS with pair of calculated "proxy" attribute and real attribute. Real attribute has enumeration, proxy attribute used for input. In my solution real attribute is always synchronized with proxy attribute...

Need to get the selected values from the selectManyShuttle

I am using ADF11g newer version.
I have a selectManyShuttle and a command button. Need to insert all the selected values on the right hand side of the selectManyShuttle into a database table.
I created the selectManyShuttle with the values. Need help in getting the values on the right hand side.

Read selected values from a multi choice field programatically using Microsoft.SharePoint.Client namespace.

All examples I found refer to classes under Microsoft.SharePoint namespace. However, I have the SharePoint CSOM that only gives me the Microsoft.Sharepoint.Client namespace.
I need to read the selected values of a multichoice field, but not sure how to do it with classes in the namespace above.

According to your description, my understanding is that you want to read the selected choice field value using Client Object Model.

Copy select value in the textfield from LOV and allow user to edit it

Hi,
I have a datablock with 20 records and each record has comments (say field_comments) fields. I would like to allow user to choose predefined comments populated from LOV (say lov_comments) and to append some extra comments after they choose the value from LOV.
I have created a LOV and added Return type “field_comments” in the column mapping properties. When user clicks on a button, LOV opens up. They select the value from the LOV and the value goes to “field_comment” field. The problem with this approach, user can’t add their comment after selecting from LOV.
I tried this way too. I created another non-visible textbox (say dummy). In the LOV, I added “dummy” field as returntype. In the dummy field, I have created “POST-CHANGE” trigger which basically says :block. field_comments = :block. Dummy.
But, the user has to click on other field to view the selected value from the LOV. The values in the “field_comments” is not updated as soon as user click on “OK” button in the LOV.
I would appreciate it if somebody could give me some input and help to solve my issue. Thank you for your help.

Well, I tried exactly what you posted and it allowed me to SELECT from LOV and then CHANGE/APPEND new text in front of returned value in the field. It saved to the database and queried without any problems.
Is your item allowed to INSERT/UPDATE ? If not, then set "Update/Insert Allowed" properties to Yes and attach your LOV to the item and set "Validate from list" to No.
You may also see if you have any validation being performed on WHEN-VALIDATE-ITEM or POST-CHANGE trigger which will fail since you are editing the values populated from LOV.

How to get selected-value of dropdown-field in alv ?

I have a alv-table with dropdown-field.
When I open the dropdown I am able to select another value.
Now I use method ON_CLICK with ON_CELL_ACTION, and when
I change value in my alv, system jumps into this mehtod.
But how do I get now the selected dropdown value in this method ?

Select a specific view in MM02/MM01

Hi Abappers,
I am doing a BDC on MM01 transaction and want to just select the accounting view and extend materials for different valuation types. But the position of accounting view is coming different on different material and my BDC recording is failing to select the accounting view. Does anyone has any idea how we can pinpoint and select the accounting view?

SELECTION_VIEWS_FIND - This FM Will work depends on material type..
in your case this FM Is not required and you need to have Accounting view.

Created a simple page with a few text inputs and 4 LOV. After selecting a value from the last LOV the following error is displayed:

Selected value in search help cannot be returned

When I select value in search help, selected value is not returned to the field.
I did like this.
1. I enhanced BP using EEW.
2. I created a new view and display an enhanced field via BSP workbench.
(an enhanced field is assigned to a check table)
3. I created GET_V_XX method as follows.

You could resolve your issue by changing the value of the "ls_map-context_attr" to the attribute value seen on the F2 help on WebUI screen.
If you change the value   ls_map-context_attr to   'ZZBUT000000102' , then F4 help would work properly.
Hence the correct code would be:

Hi All,
Can you please tell - how to clear the selected values in the JCombobox
I have four dropdowns in my application, When I click "CLEAR" button, what ever the values selected in the four drop downs should go off and view as "SELECT" in all the dropdowns.
