Enter username and password before subscribing to an online (OneDrive) calendar

Hi guys,
I use microsoft outlook at work but I at home I have a macbook pro and an iphone. Therefore, I would like to see all appointments and events from my outlook calendar on my apple calendars as well.
I published the outlook calendar (.ics) on onedrive, which is microsoft's cloud service. Then I tried to subscribe to the calendar on my macbook. After entering the calendar url I get the following error message:
"There was an error subscribing to the calendar. You do not have permission to access the calendar at https://...."
Supposedly, I have to enter my onedrive username and password. But the programm does not ask me for it. I just get the error message.
How can I enter the credentials before the the mac calendar tries to subscribe to the online calendar?
Appreciate your help
cheers

    Contact the University's IT dept, they may be able to set something up on the network to allow the ATV to connect without the need for a user name/password.

  • Enter username and password for "weblogic" at ..

    We have a web service running on a single domain on a weblogic 7.0 SP1 cluster.
    We load balance via a F5 in front of the cluster. Our F5 accepts SSL requests
    on port XXX3, terminates SSL and forwards the non-SSL request to a managed server
    in the cluster for processing. Likewise, the F5 receives HTTP requests on port
    XXX0 and forwards the non-SSL request to a managed server in the cluster.
    We have no Weblogic security features configured for the web service. Only the
    standard "myrealm" is configured with the defaults values.
    Whenever we call this web service, via the F5, on the XXXX ports, we are prompted
    to authenticate. The message "Enter username and password for "weblogic" at <domain-name>"
    appears. We don't even have a "weblogic" realm configured. (1) We are not sure
    why we need to authenticate when no security has been configured for this application
    (2) We've tried every username password combination we can think of and none work.
    One clue is.... if we use the standard HTTP ports 80 and 443 for traffic coming
    into the firewall, we are not prompted to authenticate. The web service works
    just fine. The problem seems to rise when we use the non-standard ports on the
    F5 of XXX0 and XXX3 and forward traffic from these ports to the managed servers.
    Has anyone seen this behavior?

    The website may be using autocomplete=off to prevent Firefox from saving the name and password.
    You can remove autocomplete=off with a bookmarklet to make Firefox save the name and password.

  • Why can't I access my credit union account anymore on my laptop? I enter username and password and it says invalid username and password!

    The trouble opening my credit union account just started yesterday and it was usable the day before.  I enter my username and password and the next window tries to open my account but ends up on a page that reads invalid username and password! What has happened to my settings? Can anyone relate or help me?

    My first approach would be to see if your credit union changed their web site.  If nothing has changed on your computer then it must be at their end.  If they say they have changed nothing then you can start looking at your computer settings.
    One small worrying item.  How did you come to try to log into them?  Never use a link in an unsolicited e-mail telling you to log in. Those often go to bogus sites trying to steal your identity that are almost perfect imitations of the real site, and will, of course, not actually log you into the real site.  I always check web addresses in my browser's status bar.

  • How to set username and password before redirecting to a RESTful webservice

    I am a .Net developer who has developed a webservice used by my ColdFusion colleagues. They are using ColdFusion 9 but I'm not sure if they have incorporated any of the newer features of ColdFusion in their apps. Here is a snippet of how they have been invoking the webmethods:
    <cfscript>
                         ws = CreateObject("webservice", "#qTrim.webServiceName#");
                         ws.setUsername("#qTrim.trimAcct#");
                         ws.setPassword("#qTrim.trimpwd#");
                         wsString=ws.UploadFileCF("#qTrim.webserviceurl#","#objBinaryData#", "#qFiles.Filename#", "Document", "#MetaData#");
                </cfscript>
    As I understand things, the .setUsername and .setPassword correspond to the Windows credentials the CF Admin set when the URL of the .Net webservice was "registered" and given its "name" (for the CreateObject statement above). I have 4 webmethods that are all invoked in this manner and this SOAP protocol works adequately for us. Please note that this ColdFusion web app authenticates anonymous remote internet users by prompting for a username and password and compares them to an application database (i.e. Microsoft calls this "forms authentication"). Because only a few Windows domain accounts are authorized to call this .Net webservice, the above code always uses the same username/password constants and it all works.
    My question involves the newest webmethod added to the .Net webservice. It requires that callers must invoke it as a RESTful service which means it must be invoked by its URL. Here is a snippet of C# code that invokes it from an ASP.NET webclient:
                string r = txtRecordNumber.Text;
                string baseurl = "http://localhost/sdkTrimFileServiceASMX/FileService.asmx/DownloadFileCF?";
                StringBuilder url = new StringBuilder(baseurl);
                url.Append("trimURL="); url.Append(txtFakeURLParm.Text);
                url.Append("&");
                url.Append("TrimRecordNumber="); url.Append(txtRecordNumber.Text);
                Response.Redirect(url.ToString());
    I assume a ColdFusion script could easily build a full URL as above with appended querystring parameters and redirect. Is there some way for the CF code redirecting to a RESTful webservice (by way of its URL) to set the Username and Password to this Windows account mentioned above? When the DownloadFileCF webmethod is hit it must be with the credentials of this special Windows domain account. Can that be set by ColdFusion someway to mimic the result of the SOAP technique (the first snippet above).
    I hope my question is clear and someone can help me make suggestions to my ColdFusion colleagues. Thanks.

    Can you clarify what you mean by "establish a different Windows identity"?  Usually passing identity to a web site or service means adding something to the request's HTTP headers.  This could be a cookie in the case of .NET forms authentication or the "Authorization" header in the case of basic authentication.
    The SOAP web service invocation code you posted does use basic authentication, according to the CF docs "ColdFusion inserts the user name/password string in the authorization request header as a base64 binary encoded string, with a colon separating the user name and password. This method of passing the user name/password is compatible with the HTTP basic authentication mechanism used by web servers."
    http://help.adobe.com/en_US/ColdFusion/9.0/Developing/WSc3ff6d0ea77859461172e0811cbec13a13 -7fe0.html
    If you need to mimic the SOAP techinque you should have basic authentication enabled for your REST service endpoints.
    If your authentication method is different then CF developers will need to add the appropriate HTTP headers to their service calls.  Note that calling a REST service from CF would probably be accomplished using the CFHTTP tag if the service is designed to be consumed by the CF server.

  • Entering username and password in URL, 4400g, v5.2 ??

    Hi,
    I am trying to display contents of a website which requires me to login each time i exit the webpage.
    Is there a way to include the username and password in the url itself or is there a way to change the DMP web account to match the username and password which is needed for the website?
    I already tried using the format http://username:[email protected]

    Sorry, this type of functionality is not available on the DMP.
    A lot of the responsibility resides on the Hosting Site on how it
    accepts the authentication or Login credentials.  A web or app savy
    developer could probably develop a App (like for iPhone or iTouch)
    which could bring up a Virtual Keyboard which could be used with
    the DMP-4400G and a supported Touchscreen.  Then the user could
    add the credentials using the touch screen.
    Cheers!

  • I enter username and password to login into a website, use the site and then logoff. When I open the site again the username & password are alread filled in,

    The only way to prevent to from happening that I've found so far is to close Firefox. When I open back up, go to the site the username and password are empty. This hasn't happened with previous versions of Firefox.

    You can set the Boolean pref <b>signon.autofillForms</b> to <i>false</i> on the <b>about:config</b> page.
    *http://kb.mozillazine.org/signon.autofillForms
    *http://kb.mozillazine.org/about:config
    This can also be caused by cookies that weren't removed properly when you logged off.

  • How to encrypt username and password before transmit on client side

    I want to encrypt the username and password at client side when user login to my page first and then send to server.
    Could anybody tell me how to do it?
    Thanks a lot.

    Yup , What suggested is true...
    The HTTPs authentication type is mainly for encrypting..
    This is an extract from the book i have which states how you can do that...
    UNDERSTANDING AUTHENTICATION MECHANISMS
    HTTPS Client authentication :
    HTTPS is HTTP over SSL (Secure Socket Layer). SSL is a protocol developed by
    Netscape to ensure the privacy of sensitive data transmitted over the Internet. In this
    mechanism, authentication is performed when the SSL connection is established
    between the browser and the server. All the data is transmitted in the encrypted form
    using public-key cryptography, which is handled by the browser and the servlet container
    in a manner that is transparent to the servlet developers. The exam doesnt
    require you to know the details of this mechanism.
    Advantages
    The advantages of HTTPS Client authentication are
     It is the most secure of the four types.
     All the commonly used browsers support it.
    1 Actually, instead of the password, an MD5 digest of the password is sent. Please refer to RFC 1321 for
    more information.
    Disadvantages
    The disadvantages of HTTPS Client authentication are
     It requires a certificate from a certification authority, such as VeriSign.
     It is costly to implement and maintain.

  • Open safari and enter username and password into opening login page

    I have managed to alter pictures in iphoto and photoshop but I am struggling to sort this one out. Initially it seems simple but I just cannit figure it out.
    Can anyone help?
    Mark

    Hey Prion- Glad It works. I promise that its really not too technical. It may seem like a lot of code but it just insures that it runs properly every time. I don't know if you're interested, but here's a description of what each part does...
    tell application "Safari"
    activate
    ---Tell safari to open...
    make new document
    set URL of document 1 to "https://email.ntwsha.co.uk"
    --- Make a new window with the above address...
    end tell
    if page_loaded(10) then
    ---This line says "If the action 'page_loaded' is complete and true then con't this section." See the "On page_loaded" below to see what it does...
    tell application "System Events"
    ---Send an action to the system (this could be any type of GUI scripting)...
    keystroke "account"
    delay 1
    keystroke tab
    delay 1
    keystroke "password"
    delay 1
    keystroke return
    ---Self-explanatory- I put in the delay to allow the page to react after tab is pressed...
    end tell
    else
    ---if page_loaded has not completed within the timeout period or returns false then...
    display alert "The URL Has Not Loaded."
    end if
    on pageloaded(timeoutvalue)
    ---when page_loaded is called upon do the rest below...
    delay 2
    repeat with i from 1 to the timeout_value
    ---Repeat the following command until the time reaches the timeout_value (10)...
    tell application "Safari"
    if (do JavaScript "document.readyState" in document 1) is "complete" then
    return true
    ---Tells safari to check if the page has finished loading. If yes, return true, if no-repeat...
    else if i is the timeout_value then
    return false
    If the timeout_value is reached (10 secs) and the page has still not finished, then return false...
    end if
    delay 1
    end tell
    end repeat
    end page_loaded
    So its really not that technical of a language. In fact, its one of the closest to english as far as computer languages go. Its a pretty good asset to learn, because pretty much everything you could want to do in automator, would be possible in applescript. And if you aren't real interested, no big deal. Just thought you want to know how the script worked. Good Luck!

  • I cant get my iphone 4 tolog in to my company wifi. i updated to ios 6 and now it just goes to my companies login screen. i enter my username and password and it just sticks. however it will logon to wifi without a requirement for a user name and password

    I have to log onto my companies wifi by first going thru a log on page that equires a username and password. before i updated to ios 6. it worked fine now it just goes to the login page and when i hit enter it doesnt do anything just stays stuck on that page. however the phone will log onto a regular wifi router that doesnt require any kind of username or password. any ideas on how to fix it. i have tried everything including reseting all network settings.

    1. Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
    or
    2. Use "Forget This Network"

  • Why firefox wont ask me to enter my mail "Account details (UserName and Password)" for 2nd time, if i open same "mail account" using another session (1st session still "login")

    I opened "yahoomail" in one new tab,mail page asks me to enter "UserName and Password" once typed my details, it allows me to see my mails.Again I opened "yahoomail" in new tab (Still my 1st yahoo mail account in "login" state) to check my other account,this time it automatically allows me to see the previously opened account without asking me to enetr "Account Details"

    All Firefox windows and tabs run in the same "session". You can't open a 2nd account on the same server as the first account without being able to handle "session cookies" for each account.
    Take a look at these three extensions which can handle multiple "cookie sessions", and pick one. <br />

  • Browser prompting for username and password to access enterprise manager.

    I've just installed Internet Directory 10.1.4.0.1 and am having trouble connecting to Application Server Console in Enterprise Manager.
    When I try to go to the url http://localhost:18101, a dialog pops up asking for a username and password. In firefox it says 'Enter username and password for "enterprise-manager" at http://localhost:18101'. IE6 just says, 'enterprise-manager'. I have tried various sets of credentials for this - my network userid and password; and ias_admin, orcladmin, sys and sysman, all with the passwords I specified at install time. None of these work. If I cancel the dialog box I get a '401 Unauthorised' page. I'm sure this is coming from apache and is basic web page authentication, and not an enterprise manager login.
    Has any one seen this before?
    I can connect through directory manager, and I can connect to the database console for the metadata repository.
    emctl status iasconsole shows that it is running.
