Enterprising Applescript programmer needed to create a better Find File

This person needs an enterprising Applescript programmer to create a better Find File:

to create a better Find File. I know it is possible to create Applescript interfaces to the Terminal. This is why I'm posting here. I wish I had the time to program it myself.

I don't know, it almost seems like he needs a completely custom application, in which case the sequence of operations need to be spelled out in fine detail. There are several really good utilities listed in that thread, but each one of them was nitpicked to death. I don't have a problem with Spotlight (or the shell scripts for that matter), so maybe it is just me.

    Hi Kumud,
    As per my understanding, it is not support to create a Datasource View (DSV) using stored procedures.
    In a DataSource View, only views, tables or named queries can be used. We can use stored procedures in a query. No parameterized queries, parameterized stored procedures or parameterized UDFs can be used in a DSV named query. You can try to using below approach
    to achieve what you are require:
    To build views in our relational source and add the views to the datasource view to proceed with modelling.

    Spaces are used to delimit the commands and terms on the command line, so to use something with a space (or other characters special to the shell) you will need to escape it (by using a backslash in front of the character to escape) or put the term in quotes. Also, in order to pass parameters to the executable (I am guessing that you are passing command line parameters to the game)), you will need to use the path to the executable in the application bundle, otherwise it will get launched as a regular application.
    I don't know what the name of the executable is, but it should be located in the Contents/MacOS folder in the bundle (right-click the application and choose Show Package Contents) - you can drag file items to the Terminal window to get a properly escaped path. The command in the Terminal (or an AppleScript do shell script command) would look something like:/Applications/Games/Butt/Battlefield 1942 The Road To Rome/Contents/MacOS/theExecutableName +game XPack2or'Applications/Games/Butt/Battlefield 1942 The Road To Rome/Contents/MacOS/theExecutableName' +game XPack2

    I have 2 fields in my flat file
    If field1 = field2 load only field1 into tn and aux = NULL
    else if field1 != field2 load field1 into tn and field2 = aux
    Here is what I have so far - I need help with the "Where"

    Using the document you provided here is what I came up with. I notice this is 9i documents - I'm on 8. Does the SQLLoader work the same in both versions?
    This is the first time I've used this tool - No one here has even heard of it. (Well except for the DBA)

  • Need to create PDF and Spreadsheet file from RDF file when user passes the parameters

    Hi Everyone,
    I am beginner as report developer ,i came across one  issue when the requirement came from the client regarding generating EXCEL FILE and PDF FILE from same RDF file .
    I was able to generate the PDF file but i when i tried to create excel file it does not include the margin in it, also the cell border are not seen( file comes with data but with no CELL borders), I have also attached screenshot for reference .

    Thanks a lot for your quick reply.
    When i suggested the solution to my client  for creating two separate templates attached to same data definition , they declined and argued that  we cant create 2 separate templates for all reports( more than 200 reports).
    Is there any way to create the PDF/EXCEL from same RDF other than creating two separate templates ?

    The ExportPDF online service lets you convert PDF files to Word or Excel format. If you want to create or combine PDFs, then you would want to consider Adobe PDF Pack or Adobe Acrobat.

    You need to create two interfaces as file will be sending the Sales oreder details that you need to capture in IDOC or RFC and then have to trigger to create the sales order. For this Standard BAPIs are also available.
    These RFC or BAPIs will response with Sales order details that you need to divert to Mail adapter with the use of BPM and also have to go for Async to Sync bridge.

    If you will use IDOC then In IDOC inbound processing you need to trigger for Sales order creation and then have to send the Sales Order generated IDOC as an Outbound to Mail Adapter

    Hello everyone, I'm working on a Music Player script, I was able to play a file via the default player as when we doubleclick on a file. The problem is I have no control over the Player, so to "stop" a file I could play a "silent" mp3, one with 1 second of silence in it for example. I discarded the idea since I had to distribute this silent.mp3 file along with the script. A better option is to play a "playlist", since playlist files are text only, I could create them an empty playlist file on the fly...
    so, the question is, what's the default playlist extension on a mac? and how to create one on the Mac?
    in windows the default player is Windows Media Player, the default playlist file extension is *.wpl.
    here's the contents of an empty playlist

    hmm...I think it's going to be more complicated than I thought.
    correct, this script targets the ESTK, it is part of a larger Illustrator script, which doesn't have doScript either...I would go with applescript as last resort. I think going with the playlist file is easier.
    based on your comment I realized users might change their default players, so on Windows I'm going to change the playlist file from *.wpl to the more universal *.m3u, I guess whatever decent player made the default, supports this file.
    so, will an *.m3u playlist file play on the default mac player (itunes) when executed?

    I noticed that the *.m3u file can be blank, it will still "play" when executed() and effectively "stops" any music file currently being played...if this happens on Mac also, that's what I'm after.

For checks we have a standard program (RFCHKE00) to create the positive pay file which creates the output lists after the F110 payment process. Is there any standard SAP program available which creates the Positive pay file (Output list) for ACH and wire transfers through F110.

    Please let your abaper create a 'Z' program using RFCHKE00. For example 'ZRFCHKE00' and use it in the same way as you currently use RFCHKE00 for checks.
    After the program is created, use SE38 and save it as a variant using your own specifications. Thereafter, in F110, when carrying out a payment run, under 'Printout/data medium', enter the program name under "Lists" with the variant. Then click on 'Maintain Variants' and make the necessay specifications there as well.
    Instruct your end-users to enter this program when running ACH and wire transactions through F110.

    I'm creating an application that need to create a fixed length file on a UNIX system and need help. I have an internal table(s) which contain structures with fields of different lengths (type c) and so I have a routine that concatenates these fields into a single record to be sent to a file using the open dataset. This process is squeezing out all my spaces and so my fixed length file is lost. Can someone assist in creating a fixed length file from an internal table without using delimiters?

    You have to get the classname of the Items you receive from getitems.
    There you have only to look for Folder.CLASS_NAME. Example:

    Hi Radka,
    You have two options to do that:
    1. Write an ABAP program or use an Infohub to download the data on to your Prod Application server.
    2. Download the data to your PC and then FTP to your Prod App server. You can speak to your BASIS on this.
