Entourage - set contact category

Hi,
This might not be the right forum for this but there are an awful lot of knowledgeable people here
I'm trying to add a category to an Entourage contact with the following script:
tell application "Microsoft Entourage"
set category of contact id 280 to {category id 12, 19}
end tell
This generates the error message:
error "Microsoft Entourage got an error: Expected a reference." number -1727
I can't see what can be causing the error. What am I missing?

Found it!
The problem was in the {category id 12, 19} format. it should have read:
set category of contact id 280 to {category id 12, category id 19}
I spent so long looking into this I could no longer see the wood from the trees.

Now that iOS 5 has come out, all iPad 2's come with iOS 5 pre-installed (unless you find old stock sitting at a retailer somewhere). iOS 5 has a built-in setup assistant for AirPort base stations (such as AirPort Express, AirPort Extreme, and Time Capsule). First you plug in your AirPort Express to power, and plug its Ethernet into your broadband (Cable or DSL or whatever) modem/router's LAN port. Then in iOS 5, you go to Settings > Wi-Fi, and your AirPort Express will show up in a separate list as a base station that has not been set up. Select it there, and iOS will look at your environment and guess how you want it set up. It usually guesses right. If it guesses right for your needs, you hit the button and it sets it up that way. If it guessed wrong, you hit "More Choices" and select an alternative setup method.
After you've done the initial setup that way, if you later decide you want to tweak the settings, you can download the free AirPort Utility for iOS 5, from the App Store.
Kappy made a small mistake when he said you can use the AirPort Utility app for iOS to set up the AirPort Express. You actually have to do the initial setup right form the AirPort Assistant built right into iOS 5 as I described above. The AirPort Utility app for iOS is where you make changes later, not where you do the initial setup. But yes, you can do all of this setup right from the iPad now, as of iOS 5. No Mac or PC required.

Can we set valuation category in accounting view as required field. It is to prevent the user from making any changes on the valuation category.

You can not avoid user making any changes in valaution category by making that fileld manadatory . Also for every material valaution category can not be mandatory it is used for material under split valuation . You can opt for either restricting authorisation to MM02 to users or go for user exit.

Setting a category for mail object

Hello,
i have been trying to use the object api for setting a category on a selected mail.
After some research, my question is: Is this even possible with the object api and if so, how? :)
( i am using a C3PO and the ClientState.Selected Messages. I then convert the SelectedMessages into a MessageList and so on. I'm not sure if this is the correct way)

If I remember correctly, each GW account can define their own custom set
of categories in the GW Client or by ObjAPI.
So, either ..
* create a new Category definition in the GUI (right click on msg,
"categories" .. "more" .. "new category"), or
* use the ObjAPI: Account.CategoryDefinitions.Add( )

CCX 7 ENH Scripting - Set Contact Info For Closed Hours

When calls come in after hours or on weekends, how should the script be configured so the call is not marked abandoned? I know that after the Closed step I can Set Contact Information to handled and it will be reflected in the Historical Reports, but doesn't this skew the statistics when we are really interested in what is happening during open hours? I have looked at a number of sample scripts and docs but I can't find anything related to what I am trying to figure out.

Mail AND entourage showing contacts in the order last name, first name?

hi, I want to use mail and entourage parallel. mail can display the name in the "correct" order last name, first name. using entourage I cannot find this option. it´s always a mess, sorted by last name, but in the order: first name last name.
Does somebody know the solution how to tell entourage to behave like mail in this matter ?

i'm using columns of checkboxes to set expense categories (Expense Type 1, Type2) once i set the type of expense that it is, i want the NET Value expenses of each category to be added to the bottom of the relevant Expense Type column.

Note that I used a Footer Row in my Table. Headers and Footers have special properties. (A poster in the last couple of weeks asked for a summary of Header and Footer properties - somewhat frustrated that he couldn't find a succinct description in the User Guide. Well, there isn't one and the answer is so complicated that nobody has taken on the project. Now we have a new version of Numbers and the answer would need to change.)
The way to avoid the error is to use a Footer Row and to use the shortcut cell reference notation: =SUMIF(C,TRUE,B). The columns are specified, but the row range is not. Footers are exempt in this notation, so no error is generated regarding a circular reference.

I would like to know which MAC email software has advanced features, Apple Mail or Microsoft Entourage?
I like Microsoft Outlook in Windows, but I think in MAC, we have only Microsoft Entourage is available, no Microsoft Entourage.
The main feature I like is "read request", I think is not available in Microsoft Entourage.
Also, in Microsoft Entourage, I am getting images from my friend, but every time I need to click on "Download images". So, is there any way to save my setting permanently so i don't need to click every time on "Download images" for emails I am getting from same person.

You can import your pst but you're right, it's a different format and copy/paste won't do

I suppose you could also use bootcamp and have windows with outlook on your mac.
Also, I'm wondering if using a portable apps would do (I have not tested). You could setup on a USB key with Thunderbird MAC and Thunderbird PC and see if they can use the same profile.

Contacts category minimized with 6.1.2 OS

dear all,
after upgrading to the latest os 6.1.2 (10B146) and whenever I try to add a new contact I cannot find the option of iphone, also after using a mobile I cannot use another number under the mobile category. this happened with all my friends who installed the latest update.
I compared the categories with another mobile with older version which was longer and has the iphone category and also it gives u the option to add another number under the same category.
anyone has an idea about this issue please let me know.
another problem I m having it with the new update is that I am unable to connect to a saved wirless networks even I tried many times to delete and add them again but I still unable to connect.

How to set mandatory category with Oracle Drive?

Hi,
is there a way to fill a mandatory category when a file is stored via Oracle Drive?
I have tested this in OCS 10.1.2.0 and it works only with the web frontend but not in Oracle Drive. If i save a file in a directory which has categories assigned then i get an error that metadata are required but i got no chance to set them anywhere.

we have the same problem in our system. We become an answer from Oracle that in the next ODrivepatch (end of Q2) this will be fixed. At the moment you can only use a none mandatory category to copy files over ODrive in the system and then change to the WebUI and fill out the category that you need.

Setting contact photos

I've recently been editing my contacts so their pictures will be included in their profiles, is there any way to set a contact photo from a source other than my pictures? For instance, if I don't have any photos of one of my contacts, can I pull one from Facebook or the internet without first having to save it to my photos?

No. The photos need to be in the Photos app on the phone. I like that idea though.

Go to the S_ALR_87004496 - User-Specific Settings , here maintain the Category'L'in Mat. item cat
for the users, you will find while creating the BOM, system will automatically pick up the
L category.

Sorry, but this statement doesn't make any sense (and it's Mac, not MAC). What is the real question you're asking?
I am getting images from my friend, but every time I need to click on "Download images".
Who's using Entourage, you or your friend? Is your friend sending HTML emails with images, or is he/she sending images as attachments to the email itself?
