Enumerate methods from a WSDL service reference

Hi all,
I have a service reference https://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:XXXX/blah?wsdl that exposes many methods. I wish to enumerate these into test strings, but I have no idea how to do this easily. I've created the
service reference "ServiceReference1" and can see each method when I type "ServiceReference1.", but I can't see how to export the items as text. Nor can I do it via the object browser.
Any help is greatly received.
Jib

But it's a C# question I thought. I want to know how to enumerate something in C#, ok, it's related to web services, but the answer should be C# code only.
Yes, your answer should be C# code only. But
Most of us are working on mixed platforms and languages so it's not always C# but when you post in this forum you need to make sure that the issue at hand is
related to C#; From your description, your case related to Web Services. You should post
http://forums.asp.net/28.aspx/1?WCF+ASMX+and+other+Web+Services

    If there something special I need to do on either the 8.1 securing side or on the 6.1 accessing side to make this work?

  • Getting data from a WSDL service

    I would like to populate a repeating subform with information retrieved form a WSDL service.
    Through a form, I submit an id which is used in the workflow to get multple rows. The result is assigned to an XML variable which displays as a text field in the form.
    How can I merge the XML variable's data within the PDF ?
    Aditya

    The retrieving of information to a form via a web service is done to augment the form. For example to populate a list of departments based on who you logged in as. It is not normally used to merge complete pages of data that represent a completed form. I will post apdf and lca file that you can deploy. This form will make a web service call and will get all the users in the usertable that have a certain searchg criteria (i.e. c*).
    This will built on a Jboss/MySQL system so you may have to adjust the ports that were used as well you wil have to modify the WSDL being addressed in the form to point to your server.
    I had to rename the lca file .txt to get it into the forum post. Just rename itto lca and you shoudl be OK.
    The submission to a workflow is done as a post operation 9not through a WS call and is taken care fo for you if you do it the right way (the servlets are already written for you). The variable that holds the form references the Renderer that will display the form but also has a submit aspect to it that says what to do when the form is submitted. This shodul be handled for you by default.

    Could any one provide me the java client for OnDemand webservice (contact.wsdl). I want to query ContactQueryPage operation.

    String endpoint = "https://secure-ausomxdsa.crmondemand.com/Services/Integration;"+jessionId;
                   ContactStub stub = new ContactStub(endpoint);
                   ContactWS_ContactQueryPage_Output queryOutput = null;

    Hi !
    From what I see, the only problem is the setUseChildAnd function which is waiting for a true or false argument and not a char...
    Hope this will help, feel free to ask more !

  • NoSuchMethodException calling a session bean method from a web service

    I am running on NetWeaver 6.40 SP10 on Windows.
    I have a Java class (not a SessionBean) exposed as a web service where I invoke a session bean method with an argument that is another Java class (basically, just a JavaBean with some getters and setters).  I am getting a strange reflection-related error when I invoke a session bean method.  The exception I see is a 'java.lang.reflect.UndeclaredThrowableException', and if I unwrap it with 'ex.getCause()', I see 'java.lang.NoSuchMethodException: com.xx.ejb.PersistentObjectSBObjectImpl0.createR3Config(com.xx.common.R3Config)'
    I have spent several days trying to come up with a testcase for this, but to no avail.  The calling class is:
    --- snip R3UpdateTest.java ---
    package com.xx.server.webse;
    import com.xx.ejb.*;
    import com.xx.common.*;
    import java.util.*;

                        PersistentObjectSBHome.class);
              return poSBHome.create();
    --- end R3UpdateTest.java ---
    If I change the createR3Config() method to take an argument of class 'Object' instead of an argument of class 'R3Config', and then cast the object back into an R3Config in the method body, it all works fine.
    Any clues, anyone?
    Thanks,

    Sure, I can show them to you.  They are very similar to a couple of non-DC classes/projects I put together to try and duplicate the problem.
    First, the interface, PersistentObjectSB.java:
    package com.xx.ejb;
    import javax.ejb.EJBObject;
    import com.xx.common.R3Config;
    import java.rmi.RemoteException;
    public interface PersistentObjectSB extends EJBObject {

         public void updateR3Config(R3Config r3Config) throws RemoteException;
          * Business Method.
         public void createR3Config(R3Config r3Config) throws RemoteException;
    And the implementation, PersistentObjectSBBean.java:
    package com.xx.ejb;
    import java.util.*;
    import javax.ejb.*;
    import javax.naming.*;
    import com.xx.common.*;
    import com.xx.interfaces.*;

  • SSIS Not Detecting Input Service or Method from WSDL File

    I have a WSDL file saved locally (first downloaded from a developer kit, which instructs to save it locally and NOT download it from a public URL), and I'm trying to use it in a Web Service Task in SSIS (2008 R2 Enterprise Edition). I'm pointing to the local
    file in the Web Service Task Editor (General tab). The HTTP Connection is pointing to a URL that has had a successful test connection in the HTTP Connection Manager.
    However, the Input tab dropdown menus for selecting Service and Method are blank. I'm not getting any errors about the WSDL file itself. It looks to be well-formed and valid. I'm not sure why SSIS isn't detecting the services and methods from the WSDL document.
    I tried saving a different WSDL document locally from
    http://graphical.weather.gov, and that worked in a different Web Service Task. I'm guessing there's something wrong with the structure of the WSDL. I saw this
    similar post that makes me think this is indeed the case.
    The WSDL was accessed with account credentials, so I've redacted identifying information in the code below:

    Is there anything in this WSDL that SSIS does not support? Or am I just missing something simple? Thanks.

  • Problem getting RESTful web service reference working with header value

    Hi,
    I posted this on Apex Listener forum but since I am not sure problem is with my Application RESTful web service reference or a Listener issue, I am posting here as well:
    I am on Apex 4.2.2 and Listener 2.1 and the listener is on WEblogic.
    I succeeded to get a RESTful web service working in an application with no header to obtain a full set of data. The data set is very large, so I am now just trying to set up a web service to get a set of data based on a student ID.
    I followed the examples shown in the RESTful web service module of SQL Workshop and set up a handler of this type:
    https://ourweblogicserver/apex/bnr/ace/students/course_grades/{stid}
    The test for this handler succeeded both for JSON output and CSV output in the Workshop test environment.
    However, when I try it from a Web Service Reference that I created for my application following what looked like the same approach used on the example video, I get NO data back. If I put a 'stid' directly into a URL of a web browser and do the basic authentication I get the data!!
    This is what I have for the Web service reference:
    https://ourweblogicserver/apex/bnr/ace/students/course_grades/{stid}
    Basic auth set to Yes -- and this is working -- I am able to authenticate
    HTTP method Get
    output format Text
    no response Xpath
    no response namespace
    defaults for new record and parameter delimiter
    NO REST input parameters
    Output set for all the fields in the data set queried (same set of data as in my rest service which does not have any http header)
    REST HTTP Header : Name stid
    I there something I am missing. I am not sure how to troubleshoot this further.
    I also tried exactly following the example shown on the Oracle Video for RESTFul web services at
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gkCvd6P8_OU
    and I can't get the 2nd example to work either-- where the header has the bind variable parameter.
    Pat

    I was able to resolve the problem -- in the latest version of the RESTful web service that I created, I had left out the creation of the Header Parameter bind variable. Once I did that everything works fine!! I was able to test in the application and got the record of an individual student.
    Thanks,
    PM

  • Creating OTD from a WSDL

    Hi to all,
    unfortunately I'm stuck in a problem. I have a wsdl and I want to call a external webservice out of a jcd.
    Question: How can I build a OTD from a WSDL? The OTD Wizard only provides creating an OTD with the help of an existing XSD, but not a WSDL.
    I imported the WSDL into the repository and it looks proper - the validation inside the WSDL-Editor was successful.
    For some ideas I would be very grateful.
    Kindly regards
    Bodo Stockschlaeder

    Hi,
    external Web Services can be invoked inside of a JCD or from a Bussines Process.
    In both cases you must import the WSDL to the project using the option Import -> Web Service Definition from the project.
    * To invoke from a JCD you have to select Properties of the JCD and Add the WSDL to the JCD (it says Object Type Definition on the file dialog, but you can insert an existing WSDL of your project). Once you have the WSDL in the JCD, you have access to invoke the methods of the WS.
    * To invoke from a BP just need to drag and drop the method from the WSDL showed in your project.
    If you need to create OTDs for the WS call, you can create them clicking on the WSDL to open the editor, on the left of the window there is the Web Service Definition, select Types -> Schema and the object you want to create as an OTD. Select option Export XSD Node, and you will have it on your project as an OTD ready to use.
    I hope it helps

  • Error when trying to create a web service from a wsdl file using jdeveloper

    Hello,
    I'm using the latest jdeveloper and jdk 6 update 20 on solaris sparc 10.
    When I'm trying to create a web service from a wsdl on the java EE 1.5 platform i get the following error:
    Validation failed:

    Guys,
    You are asking about an issue that was a pain in the nick for me few months ago. The problem is that you won't find mych help here as I figured out that Apex geeks here either did not do much webservices or ended up hating it as i do :) . This is an error that can be due many different reason, let me ask you this:
    1- Does your the other system you are trying to call through webservices using HTTPS ?
    2- If yes, did you create a valid oracle wallet for that https connection ?
    3- Make sure you are using the correct URL ( am sure you do, just double check )
    4- If using a proxy, then you have to define that in the web service reference creation page
    provide more info and I hope I can help you with this,
    Sam
    Please reward good answers by marking them correct or helpful!

  • Problem when WSDL changes for a Web Service Reference

    Hi
    I have a Web Service Reference that is accessed by several reports and processes within APEX.
    The problem that I am experiencing is that, when the Web Service changes, as it has been doing quite often due to development, I can find no way of updating the Web Service Reference in order that the additional input and output parameters become available to the associated reports and processes. The only solution that I have found is to recreate the Web Service Reference going through the same wizard process and giving the Web Service Reference the same name as previously.
    However when the Web Service Reference has been recreated all reports and processes that accessed the old web service have blank values for source, input and output parameters. This means that I have to build the reports and processes again from scratch.
    Does anyone know of a better method of “refreshing” a web service in order to expose any new inputs or outputs defined with the WSDL without breaking existing functionality?
    Regards
    Ian

    Hi,
    My solution is simple: add new service reference, then new methods can be atached to the old service refernce with the followind block
    begin
    update WWV_FLOW_WS_OPERATIONS fo
    set
    FO.WS_ID = (select ws.ID from WWV_FLOW_SHARED_WEB_SERVICES ws where ws.FLOW_ID = 117 and ws.NAME= 'WebHINSSvc')
    where
    FO.NAME not in
    (select
    FOO.NAME
    from WWV_FLOW_WS_OPERATIONS foo
    where FOO.WS_ID = (select ws.ID from WWV_FLOW_SHARED_WEB_SERVICES ws where ws.FLOW_ID = 117 and ws.NAME= 'WebHINSSvc')
    and FO.WS_ID = (select ws.ID from WWV_FLOW_SHARED_WEB_SERVICES ws where ws.FLOW_ID = 117 and ws.NAME= 'WebHINSSvcNEW')
    delete from WWV_FLOW_SHARED_WEB_SERVICES ws where ws.FLOW_ID = 117 and ws.NAME= 'WebHINSSvcNEW';
    end;
    If you change only params it wont help. Ypu have to recreate the code that breaks again.
    I hope this helps.

  • Generating Ruby Web Service Access Classes from a WSDL

    If you have tried to consume a web service from Ruby you surely have noticed how annoying is to write manually all the Ruby code just to invoke a service with complext input parameters' structure:
    - You have to know what do the input parameters, their structure and type look like;
    - You have to write Ruby classes for them to encapsulate the structures;
    - You have to instantiate these classes and pass the objects to the web service proxy class;
    - You have to interprete the output parameters.
    All this is not impossible of course, but if you are just consumer of the web service and not the developer, if you don't have the exact documentation, you have to read the WSDL description of the service and create the Ruby classes (structures) for the parameters.
    Fortunately there is a small, though handy tool, called <b>wsdl2ruby.rb</b>. It accomplishes all these boring tasks for you.
    In the following example I will try to show you how <b>wsdl2ruby</b> can be used to generate Ruby classes for accessing a SAP NetWeaver web service, called <b>CreditChecker1</b> (a web service for checking if a person is reliable credit consumer).
    To generate the necessary classes we will create a ruby script. Let us name it <b>ws2rgen.rb</b>. Here is what this file looks like:
    # Import the wsdl2ruby library.
    require 'wsdl/soap/wsdl2ruby'
    require 'logger'
    # Callback function for the WSDL 2 Ruby generation options.
    def getWsdlOpt(s)
         optcmd= {}
         s << "Service"
         optcmd['classdef'] = s
         #should work but doesn't, driver name is derived from classname
         #if you specify both it breaks, same thing for client_skelton
         #optcmd['driver'] = s
         optcmd['driver'] = nil
         #optcmd['client_skelton'] = nil
         optcmd['force'] = true
         return optcmd
    end
    # Create logger.
    logger = Logger.new(STDERR)
    # Create WSDL2Ruby object and generate.
    worker = WSDL::SOAP::WSDL2Ruby.new
    worker.logger = logger
    # WSDL file location.
    worker.location = "http://mysapserver:53000/CreditChecker1/Config1?wsdl"
    # Where to generate.
    worker.basedir = "temp"
    # Set options.
    worker.opt.update(getWsdlOpt("Service"))
    # Heat.
    worker.run
    The procedure is straightforward. First we create the WSDL2Ruby object, set its properties <b>location</b> and <b>basedir</b> and then set all other options via the callback function <b>getWsdlOpt()</b>. For further information about these parameters one could consult the source code of wsdl2ruby or contact the developers. Nevertheless the default options are pretty satisfactory. With the last line we start the generation. Two Ruby files will be generated in the <b>temp</b> folder, which is a subfolder of the script's current folder. <b>Please, create the folder "temp" before executing the script.</b>
    This generates two files. The first one is <b>CreditChecker1Wsd.rb</b>, containing the necessary data structures:
    require 'xsd/qname'
    # {urn:CreditChecker1Vi}areReliable
    class AreReliable
      @@schema_type = "areReliable"

    The second file is <b>CreditChecker1WsdDriver.rb</b>. In it you can find a generated child class of SOAP::RPC::Driver, containing all methods of this web service, so you don't need to add every method and its parameters to call the web service.
    require 'CreditChecker1Wsd.rb'
    require 'soap/rpc/driver'

          if opt[:request_style] == :document
            add_document_operation(*definitions)
          else
            add_rpc_operation(*definitions)
            qname = definitions[0]
            name = definitions[2]
            if qname.name != name and qname.name.capitalize == name.capitalize
              ::SOAP::Mapping.define_singleton_method(self, qname.name) do |*arg|
                __send__(name, *arg)
              end
            end
          end
        end
      end
    end
    There is a problem with this script, since the <b>Methods</b> array is empty. I suppose it is due to the imports in the SAP NetWeaver WSDL, maybe wsdl2ruby is not mighty enough to handle these WSDL imports. When I succeed in overcoming this, I will post again in this thread to let everybody know.

    Hi,
    I find Ruby to be really tough to consume SAP WebServices. For simple scenarios like currency conversion may it is good. But for complex scenarios such as Purchase Order entry etc..I found it very annoying to use wsdl2ruby and see that it didnt generate correct proxies.
    Until wsdl2ruby is stable enough to support complex datatypes, authentication etc. my recommendation is to use JRuby and use Java Proxies generated by NW Developer studio until pure Ruby's web service support improves.
    Following link might be of interest w.r.t wsdl2ruby

  • Web service from intranet WSDL

    I have a simple (local) SOAP service (via perl SOAP::Lite) with a valid WSDL (validated with XML Spy). That works fine from a simple client....(provide a server and the service responds with all NFS mounts associated with the server)... the WSDL 'imports" a xsd schema via xsd:import. I can create the web service reference, but when attempting to generate a "Form and Report on Web Service" page I get a "No result Tree to Report on" "This Web service does not have a result tree in its definition that is appropriate for a report. You may wish to run the Form on Web Service wizard instead.".... why can't it read my tree? where can I find the errors (logs) specific to this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I have the same problem as posted above.
    The Web service has an single numeric input parameter and an output parameter that is an array of objects containing 3 result fields. The web service returns the results correctly in a test harness outside of HTML_DB.
    I have listed the WSDL content below. Can you tell what the problem reading the Report Tree from the WSDL might be ?
    Thanks

  • Web services references problem:  WSDL document was unretrievable

    I've tried to add a web service reference to my application. I followed the examples given in the user guide, but none of the web services are available. (IBM and Xmethods). I also tried the bookstore application from the studio (http://soap.amazon.com/onca/soap3), it didn't work either.
    Error message:
    "The WSDL document was unretrievable because either the URL you supplied was invalid, or your environment requires a valid proxy server address for HTTP requests and you have not defined one for this application."
    I am wondering perhaps I have to setup in somewhere such as proxy server (I don't use proxy for internet browsing though) to be able to use webservices.
    May somebody with htmldb webservice experiences shed some light on this?
    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for the information Eric.
    I donot want to use Axis because Axis doesn't allow me to configure XMLBeans for serialization and deserialization. I am using XMLBeans to prepare my response in XML form.
    I am using XSDs to define my input and output XML structure. This way Client applications can use this XSD to build the input XML and to validate the output XML that they get from web service. I also defined WSDL on my own (using some editors)which will make use of these XSDs to
    define request and response. I wrote my own ANT script which will do the same processing as WebServiceAssembler.
    EAR file that is generated by my ANT script is working fine.. I was able to send the request and get the response from webservice.
    Now I have realized that Oracle is NOT doing the input and output validation eventhough I have specified my input and ouput XSD in WSDL. I can send any 'format' of XML input to my webservice and get any 'format' of XML output, which is NOT GOOD. Is there anyway that I can force Oracle to do the input XML and output XML validation ? or it has to be handled by developer?
    Sorry for long mail.
    Thanks for your time, Kiran

  • Error while invoking the WSDL service of EBS from BPEL process

    Hi Team,
    when we are calling webservice client to call WSDL service which is published in Oracle EBS integrated SOA Gateway from BPEL process.
    After invoking, we are getting the below error

    Hi Phani,
    Are you able to reproduce issue as below:
    1. Login to Application as sysadmin.
    2. Navigate to Intergrated SOA Gateway > Integration Repository.
    3. Click on search on right hand side of the page.
    4. In the Internal Name type "FND_USER_PKG" and click Go.
    5. Click on the User link.
    6. Under the "Web Service - SOA Provider", click in the "View WSDL". Copy the complete URL "http://test:8003/webservices/SOAProvider/plsql/fnd_user_pkg/?wsdl"
    7. Open the soapUI.
    8. Click File > new soapUI Project.
    9. Test the web service.
    If yes,
    I think you might be need to execute a patch:
    solution:
    To implement the solution, please execute the following steps:
    1. Download and review the readme and pre-requisites for iAS Patch 18855074.
    Note: Above Merge Label Request (MLR) is build for EBS 12.1.3 having OC4J 10.1.3.5.
    2. Enable the profile option "EBS Adapter for BPEL, Function Security Enabled".
    a. Login as SYSADMIN user and Navigate to System >Profile  and Search for "EBS Adapter for BPEL, Function Security Enabled" (Internal name :EBS_ADAPTER_FUNCTION_SEC_ENABLED)
    b. Set the Value to 'Y' at SITE level . This means  function security feature is enabled and all API calls for PL/SQL APIs, Oracle e-Commerce Gateway, and concurrent programs will be checked for user security before they are invoked.
    3. Retest the issue by Generating and Deploying the required package.
    4. Migrate the solution as appropriate to other environments.
    Thanks
    Ranjan
