I open data file, Chinese can not be displayed , but I can mannuly input Chinese.
Display unicode text is OK, cannot load, so I change cube to unicode mode, Load data is OK. but DIM(informatica) cannot see the unicode application.

for GeoRaster themes you can define a specific pyramid level to render, or you can leave the pyramid level null on the theme definition, and in this case MapViewer calculates the best level to render. The second option is recommended as it avoids loading unnecessary data given the current display parameters. If you are seeing your image get blocked, most likely at this zoom level and up you have reached the highest pyramid level of the GeoRaster. Even in MapBuilder if you keep zoom in, you get a blocked image after reaching the highest resolution level.

Eclipse supports display of Unicode characters very well since version 3. However, NitroX couldn't display most most of them. Well, besides characters from other non-Western European languages, NitroX can't even display characters that it's supposed to support. Well, that's what I think so. I mean, when we type the & character, we have the whole list of character entity references amongst which we could find &and; ∇ &or; → but which are not displayed correctly. And many more are in this case.
Is this a feature or a bug? By "feature", it means that we can't get them in free version.

I have exactly the same problem. I support web pages for 25 European countries. I've not seen Nitrox support any unicode characters. Until M7 answers this question or fixes the editor, you can use the Eclipse editor to see and edit the text.

Much of that article is now incorrect or unnecessary for JDK 1.5. Because 1.5 knows how to find a font for the character you're trying to display, you should be able to set your label font to any logical font, and the JRE should find a substitute font if necessary that can display the character.
I'll give your code a try and will post results...is the code you've posted the code I should actually experiment with? It seems like you should want to display something different than 0x0065.
Your other questions:
0x0021 is the exclamation mark regardless of font. I see what you mean, however, since the wingdings font in charmap also says 0x0021. However, that mapping is obviously not a Unicode code point mapping.
I looked in the Misc. Symbols and Dingbats section of Uncode. A few characters might be a reasonable substitution for the pencil character you want:
0x270E (LOWER RIGHT PENCIL)
0x270F (PENCIL)
0x2710 (UPPER RIGHT PENCIL)
I didn't see any mirror images of these, ie LOWER LEFT PENCIL and UPPER LEFT PENCIL, although I admit that I didn't look closely.
Maybe one of these will work for you instead of the Wingdings 0x21 character you mentioned.

Cannot Open SQL from Data Prep Editor (SQL Interface)

When I Open SQL in Data Prep Editor: "There are no data sources defined. Please create one to continue."
I create a ODBC connections using the drivers bellow and I obtain always the same message ("There are no data sources defined.."):
Oracle in OraDb10g_home2
Microsoft ODBC for Oracle
MERANT OEM 5.2 32-BIT Oracle
I have installed and configured Essbase, release 11.1.1.2
Is posible that the SQL interface is not installed and configured with the Essbase Server?
How I can install and configure the SQL Interface? I need to do somethink else?

Through EAS select the server and right click and select properties. then go to the environment tab(I think) it should show everything you are licensed for. If this is a System 9 or higher, you should have it automatically. If it is 7X or below,then yoes it has to be licensed

Substitution variable is not visible at Data Prep editor-creating rule file

Hi,
We are working on Essbase 9.3.1, Oracle as a database source for loading the data into Essbase.
We have create a substitution variable at "server level" to use it in rule file as a DSN for data source. But this substitution variable is not visible in the drop down of substitution variable in 'Data prep editor' while creating the rule file.
We restarted the Essbase server also but still it is not visible in 'data prep editor'.
Any help will appreciated on this issue.

4) I took a 'broken' rule, saved it locally, closed and reopened and it still didn't work
5) I normally do files on the server, but I can't even get to that point because when I get the 'Open Data File' nothing happens, no dialog box pops up, so I don't get the chance to select the location
6) This is a production server and EAS is running as a service, so I'd have to test this one afterhours.
Because it happens on 3 separate PC's I'd eliminate bad EAS, since only some rules do it and others don't I'd think it could be corrupt rules, but it'll happen to new rules just as fast, and they still work just fine, so if that's the case I need to figure out what is corrupting them...
Network issues wouldn't surprise me, I get TCP/IP errors regularly saying I have to increase my net retry count, but I've tweaked with those settings tons... looks like those are really the database server is running out of memory even though I have 4GB physical 16MB Virtual memory (32 bit environment though... I do have the /3GB switch turned on)... I've had to scale my caches way back to allow certain databases to even function.

Admin Services - Data Prep Editor: Save, Open, Open Data File - Hangs

The problem is that whever I try to Open, Open Data File or Save while in Data Prep Editor, the Admin Console Hangs. It shows as Responding in the task manager, but the screen turns grey (hangs) and the admincon.exe process is constant at about 50% CPU.
I don't know what is going on? Is there possibly some corrupt disk area on my PC? I checked everyone on forums, tried to find the answer, but no info is availabe? I re-installed to JRE 1.5, I checked the java environmental variables. I did so much, but nothing has worked.
At first I thought it might have been some 9.3.1 bug, so I unistalled 9.3.1 and installed EPM System 11; still same problem!!

I have a similar problem, when I try to open a data file, nothing happens.... app doesn't lock, just the file open dialog box never opens... I'm using 9.3.1, and the same problems happens, on EAS installed locally, Web client, and running EAS from the app server itself. The load rule works fine, I just can't see a data file in the prep editor. Any thoughts help are appreciated.

just to be complete, I would like to add that a popular obstacle on creating a rules file with many columns is that if the last column does contain only NULL values (at least for the first N rows), it often doesn't show up in the data prep editor. This is a situation also described in other threads around here.
To solve this, just ensure that the LAST column in your data source doesn't contain any NULL values. Change the selection of the columns in your Rules Files in a order which ensures that columns with NULL values do not appear at the last column.

Can't run non-UNICODE-DbSl against UNICODE database

Hi everyone. I get this error during the update of Solution Manager 7.1 SPS4 (dual stack) to SPS10. It is a green install. This happens during the
phase PREP_EXTRACT/PREIMP! Of the ABAP stack. Step 5.2. I do not see a lot of people with this problem, so I assume it is something I am doing wrong, as it is my first time using the tool SUM.
Details of the system:
Solution Manager 7.1 SPS4
Windows 2008 R2 64 bit
Microsoft SQL 2008 R2 64 bit SP1
Central installation type with all components on
the same host
Kernel level 600
Here is what I have done so far:
Downloaded the media as described in the installation
guide.
Worked my way through the install using the
Software Provision Manager 1.0
Updated the Kernel from level 401 to 600, by
copying the files from the download folder to the F:\usr\sap\SM1\SYS\exe\uc\NTAMD64
folder. This is the folder that is assigned to the DIR_CT_RUN parameter.
I start the STARTUP.BAT file in the SUM folder.
I then start the SUM GUI and run through the
steps and in step 3 I map the Stack configuration file (XML) to one listed in
the folder “51047130\DATA” called “SPS10_stack.xml”
Then I
get to 5.2 where the system stops with this error:

As per error, you have used wrong kernel. Please make sure that you use unicode kernel as your system is also unicode.

RFC communication takes care Unicode conversion. Question is how many languages are used in ERP 6.0. Non-Unicode -> Unicode should not be a problem but Unicode -> Non-Unicode is question.
Is it single codepage system or old MDMP system?

How can I sequence non-threaded text frames for localization?

Is there any way to sequence non-threaded text frames? I want the text to appear in order in SDL (translation software).

Last time I checked, the Articles tool only affected reading order in PDF. I know of no translation tools that consistently do a good job harvesting text from PDFs, and SDL's tools only accept IDML. TextStitch is useful because you can just let it auto-stitch the whole document if all frames should be read in a top-down, left-right order.
However, StoryCollector and other SDL tools also collect frames in that order. So, using the QuickStitch function of TextStitch, you can rapidly thread all the frames in a document. Note that you will want to ungroup any group that contains a text frame before you begin - TextStitch gives you visual feedback, "blackening" frames that are going to be included in the threaded story, but it doesn't black out threaded frames in groups, so if you want to be able to see what you are doing, then you'll have to ungroup.

IPhone 5s can't receive non verizon text

I got my iphone 5s today but I can't receive text from non verizon users. I can send text to every on but not receive. I have turned off and I have reset phone 5 times. What can I do to receive text. My son is sick and needs to be able to text me.

Data Prep Editor Error

I'm using Essbase 9.3.1. My problem is when I open a load rule, and try to "Open Data File" nothing happens, it's very strange. What makes this error even stranger is it works fine for some Load rules (I get the open file dialog box), but not others. It works fine when you create a new one, but then after you save the file and reopen the rule, it most likely won't work again. I've tried copying the rule, renaming the rule, moving it to a different application, all with no luck...
Any help is appreciated, this is getting frustrating very fast.

Table date format - How can I display Week 1, Week 2, instead of the date?

I would like to creat a table for my Gantt, that displays the week number unit, as I have as the middle tier in my timescale on the Gantt side of the view. I cannot find how to do this anywhere. I know I can change the way the date is displayed,
format wise, while in the table edit area, however one of the choices is NOT the week #. The data must exsist as the timescale displays it!
My goal is to creat a table that instead of showing the start date for a task, displaces the start week: i.e. Week 1, Week 2, ...ect.
Any help is appreciated,

Bad news, my friend. What you want to do with the date format in the table cannot be done. The format you see in the Timescale bar is simply not an available date option in any table. Sorry.

Classic FDM 11.1.2.3 : getting error while importing data : internet explorer can not display the webpage

hello All,
we are on EPM 11.1.2.3.500.
when FDM client user click on import from workflow in FDM , for some time it shows processing then they get following error.
when user gets log off and then log in then they found gold fish for import.
so it mean that imports gets completed but it is not getting updated in FDM web url.
any idea ?

The web session is timing out on the user, but the process is still going to be running in the background.
The FDM doc cites the one-hour timeout related to IE and links to the TechNet doc on this... does the session time-out after an hour?:
