Equal column heights ?? Help!

I am trying to use example from projectseven:
http://www.projectseven.com/tutorials/css/pvii_columns/col2fixed.htm.
It looks ok in firefox, but does not in IE . The left sidebar does
not equal maincontent div. Your help would be appreciated and if
you have a easy fix that would be great. Thanks. Den

Also, XHTML requires "onload" rather than onLoad.
Change this:
<body
onLoad="P7_equalCols2(1,'sidebar','P','maincontent','P')">
to this:
<body
onload="P7_equalCols2(1,'sidebar','P','maincontent','P')">

  • CS4: Automatically resize textfield to get equal columns?

    Hello,
    is there a option (or possible with a script) to resize a textfield in the vertical length to get equal column heights with such a result?
    Thanks, Carlos

  • CSS Equal Columns with a twist?

    I need equal column heights for 2 DIVs, but here's the twist
    - the
    content in each must be bottom-aligned. All the hacks and JS
    code I
    found to make equal heights adds the extra space to the
    bottom, meaning
    content can't shift down to be bottom-aligned. Is this
    possible (with
    pure DIVs and no tables)?

    Hummmm...... you may be able to use absolutely positioned
    layers in
    association with the Project Seven equal height javascript to
    achieve
    this...but it's a bit hit and miss I would say. Probably not
    worth the
    effort.
    I don't particularly know of a bullet proof method unless the
    content is
    images in which case you can use background images.
    Tables are king :)....in some instances.

  • Column height control with css?

    If I have a design with 3 columns, is there a way that all 3
    columns have the same height even if 1 or 2 columns have less
    content than the 3rd? Right now each column ends where the content
    ends which gives it a funny look.

    Check PVII for an equal column height extension -
    http://www.projectseven.com/
    It would have to be done with javascript, or with faux
    columns (Google
    that).

  • Changing specific column heights.

    hi basically on my site i have two columns, a left column of 550px wide and a right column of 250px wide. These columns are made using div tags and contain text and pictures. (i am using an external style sheet) I then have a footer below these two columns. On my pages my left column doesn't have a height so it also expands as i add information to it. As my right column has a background color of grey i have had to set a height to the column so that they grey background travels all of the way down to match up with the left column. This is fine for my home page but as i am using an external style sheet it effects my other pages also. So on my 'about us' page for example which has less text there is empty space in the columns.
    So what im asking is, is there a way to change/remove the column heights on the 'about us' pages without it effecting the home pages columns?
    sorry if this is confusing. any help will be greatly appreciated.

    i cant upload it at the moment but here is the code for the home page

  • Why can't i change row and column height in tables?

    a mind-boggling problem to be sure. For some odd reason, I can't use the inspector to type in row/column heights for tables. I can use the up/down arrows, but those only work in increments of 1. I can manually adjust them one by one but as soon as I edit text in a different table cell, I have to start all over again. Does anyone else have this problem?

    Hi Gerry & Ric
    I had already tried both of your suggestions without any luck but I appreciate the help anyway. I should've been a bit more specific: I can actually type in the column/row height windows, but when I press return or tab, Pages ignores the numbers. I've tried using both the number pad and the regular keyboard numbers and every manner of clicking, enter, tab, control, alt......there must be some setting with my computer that is causing an incompatibility with Pages. Boh!

  • Equal columns in user_tab_columns

    Hi,
    I created a cluster "MyClusterOrTable" with column "mycolumn" (varchar), then, I created a table "MyClusterOrTable" with column "mycolumn" (number)
    Select * from user_tab_columns
    showed two equal columns. Including table_name, column_name and column_id.
    So, who knows how to distinguish them later? What column is for cluster and what is for table?
    I am looking for the correct SQL script. It has to be more complex than "Select * from user_tab_columns".
    P.S. Desc "MyClusterOrTable" works correctly, unlike many GUI tools including Manager Console.

    OK the only problem is that you cannot map columns to the object. From user/all/dba_objects you can get object_id. Unfortunately user_tab_columns hasn't it. To avoid that you can get the text from dba_views for all/user/dba_tab_cols and create your all/user/dba_tab_cols2 view containing the object_id for table/cluster/whatever.
    And then grant select on the created object to whatever you need.
    It is of course a bit clumsy and won't work on another db's where you haven't your very special view, but for me it seems usable solution.
    And then raise SR for Oracle to include object_id column in user/dba/all_tab_cols view :)
    Of course the another possibility is not to create objects with the same names ;)

  • Tool Tip with column Height in CL_GUI_CHART_ENGINE

    Dear All,
    I am generating Columns chart using the class CL_GUI_CHART_ENGINE. I would like to display the column height of every column as tooltip for that column. How can i achieve it ??
    The following is the transformation that i am using -
    <?sap.transform simple?>
    <tt:transform xmlns:tt="http://www.sap.com/transformation-templates">
    <tt:root name="CATEGORIES"/>
    <tt:root name="SERIES"/>
    <tt:template>
    <ChartData>
    <Categories>
      <tt:loop ref="CATEGORIES">
       <Category>
        <tt:value/>
       </Category>
      </tt:loop>
    </Categories>
      <tt:loop ref="SERIES">
        <Series>
           <tt:attribute name="label"><tt:value ref ="LABEL"/></tt:attribute>
           <tt:attribute name="customizing"><tt:value ref ="ID"/></tt:attribute>
           <tt:loop ref="VALUES">
         <Point extension="alt='Capacity'"><Value type="y">
           <tt:value/>
         </Value></Point>
           </tt:loop>
         </Series>
      </tt:loop>
    </ChartData>
    </tt:template>
    </tt:transform>
    Now for all the Columns, the tool tip is same (Capacity). I want to display the column height also along with it. Thank you.

  • Different column height for each column

    I have problem with jTable.
    I have 4 columns in my jtable. height of two columns is same and
    height of two is doble the height of first two columns.
    I know that height can be set to entire row by setRowHeight()
    Could any one suggest solution for this.
    Thanks

    Thanks for your reply.
    But I don't want resize all the columns.
    For example two columns height 16 pixels, then rest of should be 32 pixels

    Hi Lucas,
    Try this:
    Formula in D2 (and Fill Down) =IF(C2<8, A2,A2+B2)
    The IF function follows the logic of if, then, else.
    IF(this is true, then do this, else do that)
    If it is raining, then stay at home, else hold a picnic .

  • Labels and inputfields in equal columns

    Hi, I have a hard time making my application look good. I want Labels and Inputfields to be sorted one under another in equal columns. Mostly I have a MatrixFlow with two labels and inputfields in a row. F.e:
    Label1         Inputfield1            Label2         Inputfield2
    Label2.1      Inputfield2.1          Label2.1      Inputfield2.1
    and this is how I want it to be, now it looks more like that
    Label1                Inputfield1             Label2                     Inputfield2
        Label2.1      Inputfield2.1                    Label2.1      Inputfield2.1
    and so on. Im aware of Padding left/right but since every single label or IF has different lenght it is hard to mach them in columns. thinking about setting it by pixels makes me sick as well. Ive been looking on example projects and there was no such problem like not even column so there must be some tool sorting it out and Im not aware of its existance. Please help

    Thanks for response. Im using Grid layout in some Transparent Containers but it does not solve the problem, making whole app as Grid would take way to much space Manoj.
    I tried to put 1.1 and 2.1 labels in one Transparent and it worked well, made it stuck to the left side, problem began again with inputfields, seems they are dependand on label lenght that way. Funny thing is when you see at example from sap it all looks fine in simple MatrixFlow and that's it.
    Screenshot below so you can see how it looks atm and I warn you it can make your eyes bleed
    (sorry for blackened fields but Im not allowed to show it to people yet. Black field has same lengt as label)

    I copied onto my pc several tracks from a cd off mem stick but only 1 would synch onto my ipad. I've done it correctly according to the comments in this column. Help!

    Audio formats supported: HE-AAC (V1 and V2), AAC (8 to 320 Kbps), Protected AAC (from iTunes Store), MP3 (8 to 320 Kbps), MP3 VBR, Audible (formats 2, 3, and 4, Audible Enhanced Audio, AAX, and AAX+), Apple Lossless, AIFF, and WAV
    Are the formats of all the tracks on the above list?
    Did you copy the tracks into iTunes and then synced your iPad?
    Did you remember to select the new tracks in iTunes so that they are added to your iPad when you sync?
    Finally what, if any, error messages did you get when you attempted to sync and the new tracks were not added to your iPad?
