Erasing and taking iphone of icloud through icloud
my iphone is set to be erased once it connects to the internet because i have the power button broken and screen broken and i sold it to someone
if i click remove device from my icloud will it still erase my stuff?

Trouble erasing and syncing iphone to new computer?
My laptop was completely reset a few weeks ago and i've only just re done my entire iTunes library ready to erase and sync. I have had lots of apple products before but the 5c is my first iPhone. Previously with the 'erase and sync' function (i've broken a lot of computers and had to reset my ipods so i am very familiar with erase and sync) i would rebuild my entire library to what it was before, so it completely erased everything on the device. I'm not sure how it works with an iPhone but this is what i was anticipating. I had completely done my iTunes library and even deleted photos and apps to ensure there was enough space. However no matter what i do on iTunes, despite it saying it has plenty of space and i am putting less music than i had on the iPhone previously, it keeps saying there is not enough space and i need an additional 2gb. Does this mean it's attempting to put music ontop of what music i already have? or is it simply just some kind of error? i've been losing my mind looking at all the community answers but there didn't seem to be any questions that helped me with my problem. I've spent the past two nights perfecting my iTunes library and i just want my phone back! All i basically want is for all my music on my library to replace what i already have, so i don't know what additional space it needs when i've wiped a lot of things off! Please help!
Set up the sync relationship without syncing ANY music to it the first time. Just let it delete what's on the phone now. (same goes for photos). Once the sync relationship is set up, then go back and select what you want on the phone and re-sync.

I have lost my iphone. I rang my service provider who deactivated my sim card as I am on a contract. I logged into icloud and my device is appearing offline however i requested the erase iphone feature.. which is still pending. My question is how safe is my information... If someobody was to put there sim into my iphone would it delete my info as soon as they got signal? I luckily had a security code activated when the phone is switched on this must be entered and when the phone locks. Any help would be appreciated.
The erase will be executed if it ever goes back online with Find My iPhone still enabled on the phone, whether that's via wifi or 3G. The good news is that if you set a passcode on the phone before it was lost your data is safe even if the remote erase command isn't executed. The only way someone would be able to use the phone without the passcode is to force it into recovery mode (which erases all data) and restore it as a new iPhone.

How do I manage one Apple ID and two iPhones with iCloud
I recently updated my Apple ID and have two phone using iCloud (mine and my daughter's). How do we manage our contacts so we both do not have (or delete) each other's contacts? Thank you!
You have two choices. The first is to not sync contacts with iCloud on one of the phones. To do this, on the phone you want to stop syncing with go to Settings>iCloud, turn Contacts off and choose Keep on My iPhone when prompted.
The second (preferred) option is to migrate one of the phones to a separate iCloud account. To do this, start by saving any photo stream photos that you want to keep to your camera roll (unless already there) by opening your my photo stream album, tapping Select, tapping the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward facing arrow), then tapping Save to Camera Roll. If you are syncing notes with iCloud that you want to keep, you'll need to open each of your notes and email them to yourself so you can later copy and paste the text into new notes created in your new account. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account (which only deletes it from this device, not from iCloud), provide the password to turn off Find My iDevice and choose Keep on My iDevice when prompted. Then sign back in with a different Apple ID to create your new account and choose Merge to upload your data. You can then go to iCloud.com and delete each other's data from your accounts. Note: you can continue to share the same ID for iTunes and other services; the ID you use for these does not have to be the same as the ID you use for iCloud. -
Garageband on 2 ipads and a iPhone 4S - iCloud
I have an old iPad 2 and a new iPad air. I want to transfer my old garageband projects to the new iPad via iCloud.
I upload the projects and there is a small cloud on the songs. On the new I do the same and on my iPhone. The songs on the new and on the iPhone are visible on iCloud but nothing from the old one.
I have checked the setting on all three devices and they are the same. So I don´t under stand this. I have the latest iOS on all devices.
On the old iPad there is no iCloud choice under the "plus" .
I can not find anything using google search.
Anyone had this problem?

/JukkaFacetime only works with two devices at a time. You can have the same Apple ID, but the two devices can't have the same email address. Get a new gmail account. Normally you use wifi for connection, however, with iOS 6 and an iPad 3 you can use cellular.

I saw one post where a user said dust got inside the small microphone hole. Using a vacuum cleaner removed the dust and restored the audio.

Erased and cleared iphone 4s has 1.95 G of yellow other

I just cleared and erased my iphone 4s, and when I went to set it up on itunes it showed the phone had 1.95 GB of yellow other on it. There is nothing on the phone, only what it came with from the factory. How can this be? The only settings that have been set was wifi that is all, nothing put on the phone. How to clear it off? I tried Diskaid and there were no files to be found, where is this coming from.
Thanks for any help!Not matter what your going to have at least 1.0 gb of others on your phone. If it is bigger than 1.0 gb, then you have corrupted files.
what you have now is perfectly fine. I have about 5.80 gb of others on my phone, but just don't want to restore as new. -

I have a macbook, an ipad, and an iphone with the Mail app on all three synced through icloud, but when I read and delete emails on my phone, the inbox on my ipad is not update, so I have to go through and mark as read or delete messages again. How can I sync my iphone and ipad? (it seems like each is synced only to my laptop, so don't synchronize until I go home and use my laptop.

If you want to use multiple devices - move to imap, I would even say "exchange", but Google does not support free exchange anymore, since January of that year. So Ironically Icloud or Hotmail would be my choices right now.

I started my update around 9:45. I plugged my 8 gb iPhone 4 into my acer aspire V5 computer, and had to download the iCloud control panel and the new version of iTunes before I could download iOS7. did all that, the update went by quickly, I'd say 25-30 minutes tops. I previously deleted all apps from my phone except for Pandora, Skype, and Candy Crush (had to get my fix on the bus this morning) and my photos were all deleted as well. Whatever, I wanted to clean my phone out anyway. Now both my PC and my iPhone are still "updating iCloud settings" and it's going on an hour. Is it supposed to be taking this long? How much longer will I have to wait? I won't have a wifi connection all day and I don't want to do anything to mess up the software on either device. Thanks!
i also have been told to hard-reset my phone, but my lock button is jammed and i can't use it to turn the phone on or off....

Can I recover notes I accidentally erased from my iPhone? I have the newest software and updates and I use iCloud.
Is your carrier still AT&T? What error message do you get when you try to activate it?
Have you tried a new SIM? Was the phone jailbroken? Was the computer you used to update it ever used to jailbreak a phone? In general, this problem is caused by one of the following:
1. Your antivirus is blocking access to gs.apple.com.
2. Your phone is jailbroken.
3. Your computer has been used at some time in the past to jaibreak some iOS device (not necessarily the phone with the problem), and its network database was corrupted by the hacking software that was used.
4. Apple's activation servers are down (very rare, and never for more than an hour or so).
For 1. try disabling your antivirus.
For 2. & 3. you need to go somewhere other than an apple forum for help. Although you can try deleting lines containing gs.apple.com from your "hosts" file on your computer. -

I also do not know the password to the iCloud account and when I go to the "Forgotten Password" link, it says that account is not found.Yes, but you will not be able to erase it without the password if Find My iPhone is turned on. One of you will need to migrate to a separate iCloud account, then you can delete the other person's data from each account.

I've done everything I know in order to get my calendar in iCloud synchronized with my macBook, my IPad and my iPhone, but get no success. I've checked if all devices are set to the same account. Can you help me?
The only thing I can see strange is that when I login my iCloud account through my principal email address, when I check my preferences is marked an @me.com address that is old and I don't use it anymore, but I can't erase it or even change it.

I have a problem syncing iCal on my Macbook air (10.7.5) and my iPhone 4s (5.1.1) over iCloud. The following server error message comes up "The request (CalDAVAccountRefreshQueueableOperation) for account “iCloud” failed." Been to Apple Store - no luck instore, or with Super genius over the phone when with genius in store, taking data in real time via ethernet!
I had to do a full wipe of my system because of time machine back up issues 2 weeks ago, and the error has only occured at some point since then. I only did a drag and drop of my user account folders/files into an External HDD rather than a copy of my user account (advised by the staff in store at Apple to do this) and when reimported, the Mail folders are all present but each message is in a sub-sub-sub folder that is numerically named. I do not have a mirror image of the hard disk prior to the wipe, only a time machine back up from 2 weeks prior to it being done. I am uncertain if this reinstall has caused the issue.
I am not happy to upgrade the software in my iPhone until I have the calendars working. I have purchased Mountain Lion, but again am concerned about upgrading until the issues are sorted.
I have tried the other solutions on here with no luck. HELP please.

I made a back of what existing phtos and Videos I had on my Iplhone. I used Image capture to do this making an entire back up of photos and videoa that were still intact on the phone.
Image capture is god for this purpose, as it does exactly what you ask it to do without applying any rules or squishing the files back into iphote (which might also be corupted)
Image capture wil do the basic function of retriving the contents of the phone and save them as native files on your hard drive.
Once I did this I erased my iphone, and re intitialised it restoring an older back up from icloud.
As the retore was happneing - I did retreive the missing files that cuased the intial beviour as above, and I could play the videos that were missing in the above scenerio. The wierd ting was however that even though the source files were now back on the device, the thumbnail previews were missing. Where I ahd balck thumb nails for server portions of the resotred content.
I then went to bed as the restore is a long process. When I woke up the library had library had cleaned itself up. Mysteriously the prcess had deleted the files missing the their thumbnails.
This is very perculiar and bad behavior.
I am now repeating the process, and will attempt to download the missing content as it is restored and prior to the phone trying to fix itself.
Here are the lessons learned.
DO NOT rely on Photo Stream to keep back ups and synchornise videos from you IOS device. IT DOES NOT SUPPORT THIS CAPBILITY
DO NOT rely on iCloud Back Up alone - always fd an occassional iTunes back up or more reliably still always take a back up of photos and video files using Image Capture to be doubly sure that you a have backd up any content.
DO THIS NOW - dont wait to loose your phone ofr have your phone repaired by replacement at the apple Store. (I did both :-(
