I feel you. Same here. I've spoken with someone and emailed twice. The first excuse I received was there was a server overload with everyone trying to download because it hadn't been released yet. Now it's two weeks later, and I'm being told to email them again. Plus I was charged twice also.

  • Getting err 9006 and err 8003

I tryed to download a season of shows and i get a err on the videos while they download and the errs are 9006 and 8003

I too have experienced this; but do not loose heart as the songs eventually come down. I had 42 to update since the upgrade. I now have 8 remaining. I get all the errors (some 8xxx too). They make no sense. There is no Apple coverage of the problem. It appears for me they are specific to artists. Meaning I had one album come down quick; one a little slower and now the remaining hardly at all. I get a couple hundred K every now and then and keep trying when they error out. I guess I am one of thousands doing the same. Would be nice if Apple would respond and at least post that they are aware and working on better load balancing.

  • Received err: 8003 on everything I try to import

I try to import the recent tunes that I have bought, but for sone reason the router I have (linksys router) prohibits me from completing each downloads with error code of 8003; (not enough time to complete the download.) I know it is because my cicsco router id i have, has been reset with the necessary values to make my router into secured router "oscarbigpaws".
I used to be able to change my router id from my "oscarbigpaws" to the "linksys" router id, which would work, then allowing me to import the tunes, and I would get my new tunes without any complications.
The difference between the link sys vs oscarbigpaws is that the linksys is wide open, thereby allowing me to import freely, without a hitch. But recently, I had to "re-set" my linksys router back to square one again, but it doesn't say linksys id as an available router I can to switch over to. I have tried re-setting my router several times, hopefully to recreating the situation I used to have.
I now have a backlog of 19 tunes and 9 updates that have to be completed right away.. can you point to the right area to help me finish this mess for good????

Restore the iPod and start syncing all over again.

  • ITune Store download stopped (err=8003, -3259, etc.)

Since upgrading to vers. 7 I have troubles downloading TV Shows (f.e. Prison Break Season1) for which I payed for.
The downloads are starting but stopped suddenly with above mentioned error messages. Very annoying also as some of the downloads pursue to about 95%, stop and are restarting from 0% again!
Are there any known problems with the server or can someone please explain possible troubleshooting?
    Thanks, Axel
PS: I might add that the Software Upgrade from QuickTime Pro 7.0.2 to 7.1.3 - for which I bought the upgrade - is also not working (although I doubt that has anything to do with the iTune Store Server)

On 25th I got the following mail from iTMS:
    1) Before proceeding, make sure you're using the latest version of iTunes. It can be downloaded free of charge: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download
Note: Installing the latest version of iTunes will not affect your Library or any items in your account that you haven't downloaded.
    2) Open iTunes.
    3) From the Store menu, choose "Advanced" and then "Deauthorize Audible Account" and then re-authorize it from the same drop-down menu.
    4) Enter your account name and password and click OK.
To start downloading your recent purchases, please follow these steps these steps:
Enter your account name and password when prompted, then click the Check button. Your purchase should begin downloading.
This article provides more information about resuming interrupted downloads:
    http://www.info.apple.com/kbnum/n93015
Once your purchases have downloaded, they will appear in your Purchased playlist as well as your iTunes library. However, you will need to authorize your computer again (1) to play your purchases. To authorize your computer, choose "Authorize Computer..." from the Store menu
    - I do not have an account with Audible
    - This did not solve the error messages and download problems I have.
    - (1) Why would one have to authorize the computer again as it has not been deauthorized?
Does anyone at ITMS knows what is going wrong?
PS: email "support" at http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/store/download/ did not...

  • TS3297 error 8003 iTunes download

I downloaded some music on my iPad which loaded successfully but only half the album appears in iTunes on my iMac.  Whenever I try and download I keep getting the same error message which is that it has stopped (err = 8003).  I've checked my access to secure sites, I've done various things but nothing seems to allow the rest of this album to download on my Mac.  Any tips???

Doublechecking ... you've tried the "Error -50," "-5000," "8003," "8008," or "-42023" section in the Specific Conditions and Alert Messages: (Mac OS X / Windows) section of the following document?

  • ITunes song downloading error - may be corrupt?

I just recently downloaded 3 songs, 2 of them have gotten the message, this file may be corrupted try again later. I've tried downloading those songs about 5 times each, does anyone know the answer to this?

I'm having the same error but only one a few of the downloads. I am downloading many things at the same time and only one or 2 of the tracks are giving me this "stopped (err = 8003)".
Thus I assume its a server side (iTunes store) problem. Probably if I hit the gray arrow on the right to try the download again in the future, it will come through. Now I'm getting notifiers that iTunes is unable to check for purchases. Either the iTunes store severs are having problems for my ISP is.
My suggestion to people having this problem is wait a while and try the download again (see below), particularly if you've successfully download purchases in the past. That approach is partially working for me now. A few hours ago all of the downloads stopped. Now I've gotten a few more before the errors are popping up again. Even if this is your first attempt, if you're at home, i.e., not behind a corporate firewall save yourself the hassle of reconfiguring your home network (plugging directly into your modem or disabling your router's firewall) and just try again later.
In another forum I found a user ranting that he was buying the song/movie/whatever multiple times. In response to that: When you get one of these downloading errors you do not have to buy anything again. In left panel of iTunes, under the "STORE" heading click "Downloads". This will show you all the downloads pending and in progress. If any of them have problems you can use the "Resume All" button at the bottom to try them all again. Click the gray arrow circling back on itself at the right hand side of each item to restart the download of an individual item.
    Hope this helps

  • TS1702 Unable to Download App for New iPad

I'm having trouble downloading apps from app store for my new iPad. It shows "Unable to Download Application, could not be downloaded at this time. Done or Retry". App downloading seems normal for my Macbook. But, every time I download the iPad app from macbook, I only get err:8003. Please help me. I'm having this from the first time I bought the new iPad. Thank you.

Try a reset. Hold the Sleep and Home button down (together) for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the red slider.

  • Itunes Movie Extra's

My itunes won't let me finish downloading one movie and another movies "itunes extras" it keeps asking me for my password, starting to download and then a few moments later it says stopped (err = 8003) How can I get it to just finish?

I realize this post is from quite some time ago, but it showed up as relevant in my own search to resolve this problem. So hopefully my answer will be equally visible and thus helpful.
Select the movie file within iTunes (not the actual file(s) in the finder) and drag it to the desired location on your external hard drive. While doing so, you'll notice an indicator showing that you're in fact moving two files: the movie (m4v) file and the associated Extras (ite) file.
The first time I attempted this process, I selected the files within the Finder and dragged them to the external hard drive. I was able to play the movie itself from this location, but the Extras wouldn't play. After spending a considerable amount of time searching for a solution I tried the afore mentioned and it worked.
No promises, but hopefully this will work for some of you out there and save you some time and frustration.
    Signing off...
    ~B
