Erron when execute stopsap from Windows

Dear Expert,
my company use OS Windows. When I execute from command line the command "stopsap name=<SID> nr=<SYSNR> SAPDIAHOST=<host>" nothing happens. If I see the stopsap.log I read this:
SAPSRVKILL failed on SSSMVV01_SSM_00: -2147312566
Cannot connect to DCOM Interface of Start Service: -2147312566
sapntwaitforhalt.exe=>sapparam(1c): No Profile used.
running sapsrvkill.exe SSSMVV01_SSM_00
running sapntwaitforhalt.exe name=SSM nr=00 SAPDIAHOST=SSSMVV01 3600
Please help me.
Regards.

in general I would strongly recomment no longer to use stopsap and startsap for scripting.
as of 700 we have sapcontrol.exe which has a much wider functionality to control your SAP system.
for more information about sapcontrol just open a command box as SIDadm and type in sapcontrol.exe.
a good way to start the system is:
sapcontrol -nr 00 -prot PIPE -function Start
sapcontrol will provide returncodes which are more usefull than the one of the older tools.
regards
Peter

  • I am writing to this forum to ask for help in determining whether Aperture will satisfy my needs when I switch from Windows to MAC in the near future.

     I am writing to this forum to ask for help in determining whether Aperture will satisfy my needs when I switch from Windows to MAC in the near future.
    I am currently using Photoshop Elements 8 on Windows 7.  After several years of use, I am self taught and adequately proficient for an amateur.  What I didn't realize (until I started researching my upcoming migration on the Internet) is that I actually use PE8 for two functions: digital asset management and digital editing.
    Regarding Digital Asset Management: My research leads me to understand that PE on MAC does not provide the same level of organizational capability that I am used to having on Windows, instead providing Adobe's Bridge which does not look very robust.  Furthermore, iPhoto, which come on MAC will not support the hierarchical keyword tagging that I require to organize my library of photos. The two SW applications which I am thinking of switching to are either Aperture or Adobe's Lightroom.  Frankly, I'm thinking that it would be smoother to stay within the Apple product line.
    So the remaining question is whether Aperture will support my digital editing needs. The tweaks that I do to my photos are not very complex (no, I do not want to put people's heads on other animal bodies).  But could someone who uses Aperture tell me whether It will allow me to do the following kinds of edits?:
    - If I have a photo where someone's face is too shadowed, can I lighten just that person's face, and leave the rest of the photo as-is?
    - if I have a photo where the background is cluttered (eg, 2 people in front of the Parthenon which is undergoing renovation), can I remove just the construction cranes?
    - Can it splice together several separate photos to give a panoramic?
    If, once I get Aperture, I find that it cannot enable the kinds of editing that I do, I would probably get PE11 in the future. However, if people in this forum tell me that Aperture will definitely not  support the kinds of editing which I've described in the previous paragraph, I would prefer to get PE11 with my initial configuration (since someone will be helping me with my migration).
    Thanks in advance for your consideration and help!

    I am concerned, however,  about using a non-Apple Digital Asset Manager in OSX. I would really like to avoid integration problems. Is using PE11 to import and catalog my digital photos likely to cause conflicts?
    Thanks for any insight on this
    Amy,
    Not so much conflicts as maybe a little less seamless integration with Apple software and perhaps some third-party software providers in the Mac App Store where some programs build in direct access to iPhoto and Aperture libraries for getting images into those programs easily. Typically, there is a manual command to go to Finder (think Windows Explorer) to browse folders.
    One caution to mention however, is that the organization you set-up in PE Organizer is unlikely to transfer over to either iPhoto or Aperture if you decide to change at some point.
    The only real stumbling block that I see in your opening comment is that you want hierarchical keywording (Kirby or Léonie can go into the details on keywording limitations as I stay at one level). If you can work with the keywording schemes of either iPhoto or Aperture, then using PE for your external editor (either program supports setting an external editor) would probably be ideal since you know PE well. This is the idea with the Mac App Store version of PE (editor with no organizer).
    Note - I use Photoshop CS6 (full version) with Aperture and it works really well. The only downside is that Aperture has to make either a TIFF or PSD file to send to an external editor so that the original file is protected by not sending it to the pixel editor. While TIFF or PSD files protect the integrity of the image information without degrading it, they are typically much larger file sizes on disk than either RAW or JPEG files. Therefore, your library size (iPhoto or Aperture) will balloon quite a bit if you send a lot of files to external editors.
    One other possibility for an external editor would be a program called Pixelmator. It is pretty similar to early versions of Photoshop, but built for Mac. Other than the panoramics you want, it will do most pixel editing that PE can do. It is not an organizer, so it is built to go with either iPhoto or Aperture. It does have differences in how you complete certain procedures, so there is bit of a learning curve when you are used to doing it the Adobe way.

  • When i switched from windows vista to windows 7 my songs on itunes dont play fully they are cut off even on ipod..any suggestions?

    When I switched from windows vista to windows 7 on a new computer my ipod doesnt play songs from itunes fully it cuts them off before they play out entirely. Any suggestions?

    Delete the current copy, don't hide from iTunes in the cloud if prompted, close iTunes, reopen, download from iTunes Store > Quicklinks > Purchased > Music > Not on this computer.
    While downloading click the download icon and uncheck Enable simultaneous downloads. You may find it more reliable that way.

    Thanks for the prompt reply. The interesting thing is that my Macbook Pro was upgraded today to Yosemite and I still have the spinning wheel on the start up screen before the login page comes up.

  • Error when executing job from BW

    Hi,
    We have created a job that transfers a set of data to BW PSA.
    When executing from data services designer or from the management console the job works fine.
    When executing the job from BW administration workbench, the job is executed and does not report failures (we can consult the log in the management console).
    But nothing arrives in the PSA, and on the workbench we get the following errors:
    Error in a data conversion in record
    data record      1 of the fragmented entry is too long.
    Error in a data conversion in record
    Please advice what to check next.
    Best regards

    Hi,
    Thank you for your help.
    I tried changing the BW datastore to UTF-8 but am still not able to load these data when it is trigged from BW.
    After changing the datastore to UTF-8 I get some additional information in the log but no errors

  • Would PKI Infrastructure be affected when upgrading schema from Windows 2003

    Hi
    I am planning my schema upgrade from either Windows 2003 to Windows 2008 or from Windows 2003 to Windows 2012.
    I would like to know if in any of these scenarios would my PKI Infrastructure be affected?

    Hi,
    If currently you are using a Windows Server 2003 as a DC, and you are going to add a new Windows Server 2008 or 2012 to your environment, you will need to demote it first - if CA is installed on that 2003 DC, you will need to uninstall it for demotion.

  • Java.security.AccessControlException when executing java from the DB

    Hello
    I'm running a Oracle 10.1.0.3.0 on Linux
    I'm having trouble with executing some java code from the DB.
    I created following java stored procedure used to create the directory given by the parameter
    package be.vlaamsparlement.dis.os_commands;
    import java.io.*;
    import java.lang.*;
    import java.sql.*;
    import java.util.*;
    public class ManageOSDirectory {
    public static String createDir(String directoryName) throws Exception
    if ((new File(directoryName)).mkdirs())
    { return ("TRUE");}
    else
    { return ("FALSE");}
    Wrapped it in a pl/sql procedure an execute it as follows under DB schema DIS :
    begin
    declare
    b boolean;
    begin
    b := pck$os_commands.CreateDir('/data/files/vp_docs/schv/2004-2005/jan/1/');
    end;
    end;
    Where /data/files/vp_docs/schv/ already exist, so the proc needs to create the direcories '2004-2005', 'jan' and '1'
    this gives me following error :
    ORA-29532: Java call terminated by uncaught Java exception: java.security.AccessControlException:
    the Permission (java.io.FilePermission /data/files/vp_docs/schv/2004-2005/month/1 write) has not been granted to DIS.
    The PL/SQL to grant this is dbms_java.grant_permission( 'DIS', 'SYS:java.io.FilePermission', '/data/files/vp_docs/schv/2004-2005/jan/1', 'write' )
    I can't give this permission as the given directory does not yet exist. File permissions on os are ok and when i execute
    the code on the os (not from the DB) it works fine.
    This also worked on a Windows 10G DB without any extra grants.
    Also, i can execute the followint
    b := pck$os_commands.CreateDir('/data/files/vp_docs/schv/2004-2005/');
    but if i then execute
    b := pck$os_commands.CreateDir('/data/files/vp_docs/schv/2004-2005/jan/');
    I get the same error. So i can only creaet 1 directory beneath the schv directory
    Any ideas anyone ?

    The Error message is right.
    You need to:
    Ensure the Directory exist in Unix.
    Create the Directory in the Database as SYS.
    Grant Read,Write permission on th DIrectory to DIS
    Grant Java permission on th DIrectory to DIS (using the syntax already shown in the Error message).
    See my example below (10g R1)
    SQL> connect /as sysdba
    Connected.
    SQL> GRANT CONNECT,RESOURCE TO DIS IDENTIFIED BY DIS;
    Grant succeeded.
    SQL> create or replace directory DIS_DOWNLOAD_DIR as '/data/files/vp_docs/schv/2004-2005/month/1';
    Directory created.
    SQL> col DIRECTORY_PATH format a50
    SQL> select * from dba_directories;
    OWNER DIRECTORY_NAME DIRECTORY_PATH
    SYS DIS_DOWNLOAD_DIR /data/files/vp_docs/schv/2004-2005/month/1
    1 row selected.
    SQL> GRANT READ,WRITE ON DIRECTORY "SYS"."DIS_DOWNLOAD_DIR" TO "DIS";
    Grant succeeded.
    SQL> EXECUTE DBMS_JAVA.GRANT_PERMISSION( 'DIS', 'SYS:java.io.FilePermission', '/data/files/vp_docs/schv/2004-2005/jan/1', 'write' )
    2 /
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.

  • NullPointerException when executing OMBSTART from OMB Plus

    Hi
    I have deployed a process flow and assigned a schedule/calendar to that process flow all through OMB+.
    If I go to the Control Center, the scheduled job that's been created to execute the process flow is sitting in the 'Scheduled' tab of the Control Center Jobs window. I can then right click on the job and select 'Start' which starts the scheduled job (which will run whenever the schedule has been set to execute).
    My problem is that I'd prefer to kick-start the scheduled job from within OMB+ since we're trying not to use the Control Center for deployment.
    When I run the command:
    OMBSTART SCHEDULABLE '$newJobName' IN '$scheduleLocationName'
    I get the error:
    java.lang.NullPointerException
    I've tried restarting OMB+ (just in case it had become confused), and have changed my context within OMB, but I always get the same error. Has anyone come across this problem before?
    Thanks in advance
    Liffey

    Hello Cornell,
    This problem will be fixed in the next version of wlst.
    thanks,

  • Runtime Error When executing Method from JavaScript

    Greetings In the name of the creator of all things, space, and time. I have a problem with scripting an applet using Javascript (JScript). The problem is as follows: I receive the runtime error - An outgoing call cannot be made since the application is dispatching an input-synchronous call.
    I invoke the applet from a JavaScript from within a web page. The applet populates and display a JTable. From the Table I select an element in a row and press a button which kicks off another page. From within the page I called one of the applet's method i.e. _applet.cfquery(window, hastable).
    This method connects to a data source and returns some data. When the method is invoked I receive the runtime error.
    What is the problem and How do I resolve it? Note: The same code works with Netscape 7.0 with out any problems.
    Particulars:
    Browser: Internet Explorer 6.0 - Version 6.0.2800.1106C (SP1)
    Operating System : Windows 2000 (Service Pack 3)
    Scripting Interface: LiveConnect.
    Scripting Version: JavaScript (1.5)
    I know Microsoft Uses ActiveX to support embedded object. I recently came up on the JavaScript Object
    ActiveXObject(appname.className [,remoteServiceName]). Could I use it to access my applet and how would I specify the name of my applet's? What do they mean by class name. Please help me I have searched the Internet until my eyes almost fall out by I have not found any solutions.

    If the javascript to invoke applet.cfquery(window, hastable) happens automatically (onload,...), try adding a button to your page and using that to invoke applet.cfquery(window, hastable). See if waiting until the applet loads and settles down makes a difference.

  • DB connect Datasource is giving error when executing infopackage from SQL

    Hi,
    I have created DB connect data source for SQL data base. Whenever I will try to execute the Infopackage , it is giving below error and when I checked status of job in data source, it stays in yellow.
    SQL error "99" with message: "[Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 10.0]Numeric
    Message no. RSDS_ACCESS023
    Any suggestion in this.... Thanks.
    Regards
    Deepa.

    Yes, I resolved it.
    Please ask your admin guys do following steps - it will resolve the issue:
    3. Possible problem areas
    a) Datetime data type in source system tables
    The Datetime DB data type and similar (timestamp, smalldatetime) are not used in SAP installations. This type of data cannot be transferred consistently into the BW system without additional activities.
    Solution:
    You must create a view in the source system to transform the data. Since a field of the type DateTime actually represents two SAP Basis types (DATES, TIMES), you must split it into a maximum of two fields, as appropriate:
      create view <VIEWNAME> as
      select
      VD_1_D = convert(varchar(4), datepart(yyyy, d_1))
             + case len(convert(varchar(2), datepart(mm, d_1)))
                  when 1 then '0' + convert(varchar(1), datepart(mm, d_1))
                  else convert(varchar(2), datepart(mm, d_1))
                  end
             + case len(convert(varchar(2), datepart(dd, d_1)))
                  when 1 then '0' + convert(varchar(1), datepart(dd, d_1))
                  else convert(varchar(2), datepart(dd, d_1))
                  end,
      VT_1_T =  case len(convert(varchar(2), datepart(hh, t_1)))
                  when 1 then       /* Hour Part of TIMES */
                        case convert(varchar(2), datepart(hh, t_1))
                          when '0' then '24'    /* Map 00 to 24 ( TIMES ) */
                          else '0' + convert(varchar(1), datepart(hh, t_1))
                        end
                  else convert(varchar(2), datepart(hh, t_1))
                  end
             + case len(convert(varchar(2), datepart(mi, t_1)))
                  when 1 then '0' + convert(varchar(1), datepart(mi, t_1))
                  else convert(varchar(2), datepart(mi, t_1))
                  end
            + case len(convert(varchar(2), datepart(ss, t_1)))
                  when 1 then '0' + convert(varchar(1), datepart(ss, t_1))
                  else convert(varchar(2), datepart(ss, t_1))
                  end
      from <TABLENAME>
    The t_1 Basis field in the table is converted into a DATES field VT_1_D      and a TIMES field VT_1_T. During the generation of the VT_1_T field, the value for 00:00 hours is also converted to 24:00 hours. This conversion may be omitted if not required.
    b) Float data type in source system tables
    In accordance with the IEEE standard regulations, MS SQL Server supports a value range of 1x10E-307 to +go- 1x10E+308. This also applies to the corresponding ABAP data type. However, the BW database in question may restrict this. Depending on the system, a restriction to 1x10E-25 is possible.
    c) Nvarchar data type in source system tables
    The length information displayed is twice as big as the number of characters you specified when you created the column.
    d) Writing names in the source system
    Since the R/3 kernel used in BW can only process table and column names written in upper case, on the source system, you must create DB views that convert the original names in accordance with this rule.
    e) Code page and sort sequence of the source system
    R/3 kernel-based systems such as BW basically assume that the database being used was created using code page cp850 and with the sort sequence 'bin2'.
    The configuration of the source system may differ. If the sort sequence is different, operations for string search (like) and area search (between, >, <) on character fields may return different results.
    Solution:  There is currently no solution.
    If you use multibyte code pages in the source system to save data with character sets of more than 256 characters (Kanji, Hiragana, Korean, Chinese and so on), the characters may be corrupted as a result.
    Solution:  There is currently no solution.
    f) Authorizations and visible objects
    BW DB Connect uses a remote server as a source system to extract data. The data already exists in that remote system. To use BW DB Connect, you will create a new login and new views which the SAP BW system will use when connecting.
    You must remember only the DB objects (tables and views), which directly belong to the new database login are visible.
    You cannot use a login that belongs to the Sysadmin server role, (for example 'sa').
    To create the new login and views:
    1. Create a new login and map it to a user in the database with membership in db_ddladmin
    2. Grant the new user (SELECT at least) access to the original data tables.
    3. Login as this new login and create the views in the database/schema of that user, referring to the original (source) data tables.
    4. Specify this new login in the data extraction and this login/user will read from his own views in his own schema.
    5. Optionally you can switch the new user's role to db_datareader which is sufficient for reading data. Further changes to the remote system e.g. new views or changed views will require the db_ddladmin role again.
