Can any help me on this error in BP Tcode i am getting the error First maintain the erroneous standard address. How to resolve this problem.

MDM 3.0: error when deleting a Standard Address

Hi,
when loading delections in MDM 3.0, the function module BUPA_ADDRESS_REMOVE can't delete addresses if in the table BUT021_FS the field XDFADU is = 'X'.
This means that I can't delete a Standard Address.
Do you know how can I by-pass this problem?
I need to delete those addresses.

Hi Fabrizio,
first of all this is a correct behaviour of the SAP Business Partner (BP). The address handling is designed in a way, that you cannot delete a default address if a BP already had one. The question is what do you want to do with the addresses? Do you want to delete all addresses of a BP? Then the answer is that this is not possible (at least it is not possible without modifying SAP code). If you want to replace the standard address, the sollution is to import the new standard address first, change the "is standard address" flag and then delete the old one.

Which type of email account are you using?
Have you checked this issue from web access?
If the email address is saved as a contact in your Outlook, please try to delete it and then try to reply to the email to test if the problem persists.

Warning/Error Message for Tax Code Mismatch between PO and Invoice

Hi Experts
Is there any SAP standard warning/ error message thrown when the User changes the tax code in the invoice which does not match the default tax code of the PO? The client would like to identify a 'tax code variance'.
If no, is there anyway we can configure this? I have checked in OMRM and OBA5 and could not find any relevant message types for the above requirement.
Any inputs would be helpful.

Standard address of a BP (FPP3) in BUT021_FS

Hi,
I know that std addesses of a BPart are stored as indicated in table BUT021_FS-XDFADU = 'X'.
For a BP i am trying to change a street name which is a default address (which is NOT std address as shown in BUT021_FS). i am getting an error "Address is standard address; restriction to validity not allowed" even though its Not a std adrress.
I am using the BAPI : BAPI_ISUPARTNER_CHANGE and I am getting this error from this BAPI.
Is there any other way to find if the address is std address or not?

Hi,
Rather than sing that field for finding Standard Address, use field 'ADR_KIND' and check for value 'XXDEFAULT' which is normally used for Standard Address.

Giving name to existing oracle error number in my code

I have seen name being given to standard Oracle error codes in large production application.
As long as it is well documented and managed, I believe it is ok.

Cs3 design standard registration error

I'm having trouble registering this product that I just installed. When I get to the registration window, it says"a problem was encountered while trying to send information over the Internet"
It is Adobe creative Suite 3, Design standard.
Also, I am getting an error box that says "Adobe updater quit unexpectedly"

The software is installed and functioning on my new Macbook Pro. When I installed the CS3 software a few days ago, I reached a point where it asked for the serial number. It accepted the number as valid, then took me to an error screen saying “A problem was encountered while trying to send information over the internet.”
After contacting this forum, I’ve come to understand that is an old/invalid screen. I was given an alternate link, and when visited that link and I entered the serial number, it gave an error which read, “The code you entered is invalid. Please try again.” (I saved a screen copy of all this. It was the correct code.)
After visiting the last link you shared in your most recent reply, and navigating around the site, I found the "My Products" page, and entered my serial number from the CS3 Design Standard. It said the serial has already been registered.
At this point, the applications are loaded, and I have been using Photoshop and Bridge cs3 for the last 4 days. Illustrator and InDesign are working as well. I can give you the serial number if that will help
I have two questions:
Will the software stop working after 30 days?? (Do I need to be bothering with all these registration errors?)
How do I install the CONTENT DVD that came in the package? There is no Set Up file or Installer on the second dvd like there was on the Application DVD. Do I transfer the files off the disc into a select folder? Or are they supposed to be installed in some way using an installer?

Override standard ORA error

Would anyone know if it is possible to override standard Oracle errors?
For example: My customer is currently implementing a new ERP System, however due to a number of 'urgent' change requests, I am being asked to apply PL/SQL code changes to a production environment during the working day.
The standard "ORA-04068: existing state of packages has been discarded" message will then appear on all client machines (as you'd expect!).
Is it possible to override this message globally to say, for example:
"ORA-04068: PL/SQL Changes made log off and on again to continue"

Broadcasting via Bursting to multiple email address for a single vendor cod

I have a requirement to broadcast out a web template based scorecard to multiple email addresses for a given vendor code. We have gotten it to work via a single email address, but I need to send it to more than one email per vendor code.
Has anyone else tried this?

Hi Chris,
If my understanding is right, you must be using the master data of vendor Code(Which has an attribute to store Email IDs).
You can add multiple email ID to the same master data separated by semi colon ";"
If you are using user IDs instead, I dont think it is possible to use multiple user ID in the same attribute.
in this case you need to enhance the master data with a new attribute to store the second user ID and the create a separate setting for this attribute.

If u are using simple project then then adding jar into application property would do but if using DC then u must follow below procedure.
You cant just add any external jar file into a DC project.
There is only one way to add a external jar file is by using external library project.
1.create an external library project type DC.
2. put your external jar file into its lib folder.
3. create its public part of type SDA( Assembly if using CE)...and API( Compilation if using CE).
4. just use SDA public part into your webdynpro project as used DC.
5. and when you deploy your webdynpro project on server, this file will also get deployed... remember to use SDA public part..

ECC 6.0 Questions on New Business Partner Standard Address Functionality.

Hello.
We are upgrading our client from 4.72 to ECC6.0 and in the UAT testing phase.
Where before in 4.72 the Standard Mailing address was determined by a simple radio button, it appears that they have gone to a time dependent type of format which is causing issues with our client.
I have a few questions surrounding this piece.
1) Enabling 'Address Usage' : On the Address Overview Tab in FPP2/FPP3, How can we enable the 'Address Usage' box that is under the 'Address Overview' Box?
2) Determining Standard Address on Address Overview: For accounts brought over in the upgrade, the Valid From/Valid To Dates on the Address Overview are defaulted 01/01/0001 to 12/31/9999. How can the user now tell which is the default address without having to go to the Address Tab?
3) Reversing Standard Address Change: Our client has a business scenario that occurs often in which the a customer may call in to change their Standard mailing address. Then the customer calls back at a later time and decides they wanted to reverse back to the original address. We have gone through this scenario using the Move button to move in the new address, which changes the standard address, then subsequently use the Move > Reverse functionality. It appears to change the on the Address overview tab but does not save on the Address Tab.
4) Effective Date Change: In 4.72 the client had the ability to change any characteristic of the BP on a certain day. For example wanting to change the Standard address, Name, Phone on a day in the future. So they would pick that day in the future, and the planned change would occur on that day. We cannot find that functionality in the current ECC 6.0.

Today my girlfriend tried to update her Skype but she got an error code:
- You can not remove the older version of Skype / tm 6.18. Contact your technical support group

She tried some solutions I believe but nothing seemed to help, I'm not sure what she did so far, I guess it's not to much. Maybe somebody got an idea what it can be? Please help.

Thanks for the fast reply, but we are not quite there yet unfortunatly.. When she tries to download http://download.skype.com/msi/SkypeSetup_6.18.0.105.msi she gets the message:
The Installed Product does not match the installation source(s). Until a matching source is provided or the installed product and source are synchronized, this action can not be performed.
So we can't really get started till this is solved. You might know a solution?
We also tried the http://support.microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall/en We got quite far with this but in the end we had 2 messages:
- Cannot install or uninstall a program (Not fixed)
- Corrupt Patch Registry keys (Fixed)
Is this a good sign? I really don't know myself.

1. Which Adobe product are you using Acrobat or Adobe reader- what is the complete version?
2. How are you opening and saving the PDF, the exact workflow?
Are you doing it from within Adobe Reader/Acrobat application or opening it from browser, doing changes and saving it using browser itself.
3. Can you try to save a PDF to library with Custom template and managed metadata columns using browser directly.
4. Please verify that columns name do not contain spaces or some other special characters.
