Error [2] in bind() call!
hello
my weblogic was working perfectly yesterday. then some genius installed some windows updates on my machine and now i get this message whenever i try to run my weblogic server:
Error [2] in bind() call!
err:: No such file or directory
Socket transport failed to init.
Transport dt_socket failed to initialize, rc = -1.
FATAL ERROR in native method: No transports initialized
i have spent all morning trying to fix it. tried various methods found via google such as copying dt_socket.dll into system32 folder etc.. makes no difference at all.
any ideas what may be causing this? or the best place to look?
?:| help! thanks in advance.
yes.
stop IIS if you have it installed and any other applications which you may think could be using the port required. i also had to quit skype and a couple of other messenger applications.
hope that works!

Hi Experts,
When I run my Application in Portal, i am getting the following error.
Type conflict when calling a function module., error key: RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE
When I execute the BAPI, it is getting executed.
My Bapi Strucute:
Import Parameters
IM_MAT_Search --> ZPTIP_MAT --> Import Parameters
Tables

When I import the model, i am getting the structure like this

> ZMM_Input1> Parameters
This is the way, how i am executing in webdynpro java
Zmm_Bapi_Ptip_Search_Input eleInput = new Zmm_Bapi_Ptip_Search_Input();
wdContext.nodeZmm_Bapi_Ptip_Search_Input().bind(eleInput);
Zptip_Asset eleInputAsset = new Zptip_Asset();
eleInputAsset.setSearch("ACRS");
wdContext.nodeZptip_Asset().bind(eleInputAsset);
eleInput.setIm_Ast_Search(eleInputAsset);
wdContext.nodeZmm_Bapi_Ptip_Search_Input().bind(eleInput);
wdContext.nodeZmm_Bapi_Ptip_Search_Input().currentZmm_Bapi_Ptip_Search_InputElement().modelObject().execute();
wdContext.nodeOutput().invalidate();
Please let me know, how to do the same.

Error 500: Model binding context not initialized
I have created a JHeadStart Bc4J application in JDeveoper 10g and moved it WebSphere 6.
I have moved all the required binary libraries to the lib/ext directory of the WebSphere AppServer.
JSP and HTML pages are being displayed correctly but whenever it counters a .do class ( Struts framework) it displays the error :
Error 500: Model binding context not initialized
Please help me with this.
Below is the Error Log :

Thanks
VenkatThank you all for answering.
Just found the cause of the problem:
The page I am forwarding to has a DataForwardAction underneath.
The problem is: When I forward from my binding filter's doFilter() method, I never call super.doFilter() (how could I ?!) which puts the binding context into the DataActionContext.
No super.doFilter() -> no binding context in action context -> exception.
Why didn't this happen in 9.0.5.2?
In 9.0.5.2, in DataAction.execute(), the call to initialize the action context was wrapped in a try-catch block. The exception did occur in 9.0.5.2, but no one noticed (because the catch block caught it and sent it down the drain somehow).
This try-catch block no longer exists in DataAction, version 10.1.2.1.
One solution was to use a standard Struts ForwardAction for this page.

Simple geometry gets ORA-29532 error on all SDO_GEOM calls
Hi all,
I have a single point in a table such that the query:
select SDO_GEOM.VALIDATE_GEOMETRY(geomObj, 0.05) from testvalid;
/* Returns */
SDO_GEOM.VALIDATE_GEOMETRY(GEOMOBJ,0.05)
'TRUE'However the query:
select SDO_GEOM.VALIDATE_GEOMETRY_with_context(geomObj, 0.05) from testvalid;Receives the following error:
ORA-29532: Java call terminated by uncaught Java exception: java.lang.NumberFormatException: empty String
ORA-06512: at "MDSYS.SDO_3GL", line 658
ORA-06512: at "MDSYS.SDO_GEOM", line 519
ORA-06512: at "MDSYS.SDO_GEOM", line 558
ORA-06512: at line 1The data itself is a single sdo_point:
select GEOMOBJ from testvalid;
/* Returns: */
GEOMOBJ
'(3001, , (174.092329032787, 129.420551704918, -71.2857142857142), , )'I think that the problem is something to do with the precision of the stored X, Y and Z values in the point because if I run the following:
update TESTVALID set GEOMOBJ.sdo_point.x = cast(GEOMOBJ.sdo_point.x as number(8,3));
select SDO_GEOM.VALIDATE_GEOMETRY_with_context(geomObj, 0.05) from testvalid;
/* Returns: */
SDO_GEOM.VALIDATE_GEOMETRY_WITH_CONTEXT(GEOMOBJ,0.05)
'TRUE'Similarly, running a direct comparison from an object made on the fly from the point's text representation works fine:
select SDO_GEOM.VALIDATE_GEOMETRY_with_context("MDSYS"."SDO_GEOMETRY"(3001,NULL, "MDSYS"."SDO_POINT_TYPE"(174.092329032787,129.420551704918,-71.2857142857142),NULL,NULL), 0.005) from dual;
/* Returns */
SDO_GEOM.VALIDATE_GEOMETRY_WITH_CONTEXT("MDSYS"."SDO_GEOMETRY"(3001,NULL,"MDSYS"."SDO_POINT_TYPE"(174.092329032787,129.420551704918,-71.2857142857142),NULL,NULL),0.005)
'TRUE'Note that I only noticed this problem after upgrading from v11 to v11 R2. Also, the same ORA-29532 error comes up when running any of the SDO_GEOM.[x] function calls such as SDO_GEOM.DISTANCE(). The problem is not limited to SDO_POINT type geometries, yet the problem occurs only on some geometry entries in my database. It is repeatable in that the same geometry will continue to fail and the only solution I've found is to try to round down its precision in x, y, and/or z. I only know how to easily round down the precision for SDO_POINT types, so one of my problems is that I'm left with a whole scattering of other geometries that I can no longer spatially query.
The datas themselves were inserted from MATLAB (which connects using v11 Oracle ODBC Java drivers) which converts my coordinates to java.math.BigDecimal and binds them to an oracle prepared statement.
One possibility that I'm considering is that the insertion is done from various computers, some of which are 64-bit machines. Maybe somehow those machines are pumping in coordinates to a precision too great for oracle geometry?
Any help would be fantastic as I'm pretty lost here.
If the precision is indeed the problem, does anyone know how I can trim off those excess values after the decimal point for all geometry types?
Thanks,
Sven.The problem is with the way the ordiantes are created via java programs pre 11.2.
There was a bit alignment problem in the internal representation of the number when these numbers are created from a java program.
In 11.2 this corruption is fixed, but as a result the data that is already corrupted gives this "empty string" error.
It is very easy to fix. Follow the steps in the script below.
create or replace function id_geom ( g in sdo_geometry)
return sdo_geometry deterministic as
g1 sdo_geometry ;
idx number;
ords sdo_ordinate_array;
x number;
y number;
z number;
point_t sdo_point_type;
begin
if (g.sdo_point is not NULL) then
x := NULL; y := NULL; z := NULL;
if (g.sdo_point.x is not NULL) then
x := g.sdo_point.x * 10;
x := x / 10;
end if;
if (g.sdo_point.y is not NULL) then
y := g.sdo_point.y * 10;
y := y / 10;
end if;
if (g.sdo_point.z is not NULL) then
z := g.sdo_point.z * 10;
z := z / 10;
end if;
point_t := SDO_POINT_TYPE(x,y,z);
else
point_t := NULL;
end if;
if (g.sdo_ordinates is not NULL) then
ords := sdo_ordinate_array();
ords.extend(g.sdo_ordinates.count);
for idx in 1 .. ords.count loop
x := g.sdo_ordinates(idx);
x := (x*10.0);
x := x/10.0;
ords(idx) := x;
end loop;
g1 := sdo_geometry(g.sdo_gtype, g.sdo_srid,point_t,g.sdo_elem_info,ords);
else
g1 := sdo_geometry(g.sdo_gtype, g.sdo_srid,point_t,g.sdo_elem_info, NULL);
end if;
return g1;
end;
And then update the rows with geometry data with SQL like this:
update geom_table set geom = id_geom(geom); -
Smartform Printing : Error in spool C call: Error from TemSe
Hi! everybody,
I am stating my problem as follows : I have to print a bar-code sticker of size 10 X 7 cms. I have worked on bar-codes before this also. This time the output from a smartform is to be given to a ZEBRA TLP 2844 printer. I initially encountered problems in printing. The data does not fit on to the page.
After a lot of searching I found that ZEBRA was a partner of SAP and that a special device type needs to be created for output from a ZEBRA printer. I did this two times. Each time my steps were as described under.
To create the device type I did the following :
1. I finally found the driver from the ZEBRA website from http://www.zebra.com/id/products/global/en/utilities/sap_device_types.UtilityFile.File.tmp/Zebra_SAP_Device_Types.zip From this I uploaded the driver for 203 DPI zebra printer with IBM code 850 font file name "YZB200.PRI" into the transaction SA38.
2. Then I created a new device ZEB10 in SPAD after assigning my format to the device.
Thereafter, I tried to print my sticker. During this procedure, on selection of the new device type, the fonts automatically changed to ARIAL in the print preview. When I give the print command (Spool request : Print immed = X, Delete after output = X & New spool request = X) it gives an error message Error in spool C call: Error from TemSe.
Since the output had not been issued, I opened the spool request to view its TemSe characteristics. Here I found

I am running Hyper-V in Windows 8.1 on a late 2011 27 inch iMac. Whenever I try to create a virtual machine I get the error below and Windows warns that it will restart in 1 minute. I tried a clean install of Windows, but my PC still crashes ever
time I try to create a VM. I was able to successfully use Hyper-V in prior versions of Windows on this same PC. Any clue as to what is going on? A driver? Windows 8.1? Mac Hardware related?
I see the following two entries in event viewer but have no other clue as to what is happening:

How to get error message in BAPI call when error occurs?
I can catch an exception in BPM but I need to get error message and send it to another system.Hi Denis,
>>>I have imported RFC Interfaces from SAP system. Each interfaces doesn't have fault message.
if you want to use fault messages
consider using ABAP Proxies
>>>>How to get error message in BAPI call when error occurs?
most bapis have return table in which they
return error messages (you can do it either
in a sync way or in an async way if the call is too long - with corrlelation of course)

Error message when I calling planning layout in the STS
Dear
I'm trying to use Status and Tracking System with BPS ( SEM 4.0 SP10, BW 3.5 SP14 ).
But I got some error messages when I calling planning layout in the STS screen..
I designed 2 lower unit(A,B) and 1 upper unit(C) for the test. and using Bottom-up work-flow.
I did
1. Create Planning Area in the BPS0 ( also Level, Package, Layout ..)
2. Created Web Interface in the Web Interface Builder using the upper BPS Layout .
3. Customizing STS
- Create Sub Plan & Session
- Asssign Hierarchy to Sub Plan
- Determine attribute for created planning session ( Bottom-up, Auto mail )
- Define Header characteristics for planning session to contains the planning package completely.
- Determine Date, Person Responsible and Layout.
4. Send Start mail
5. Open STS Web Start Screen ( using B Unit responsible user .)
When he click "Open Planning" icon in the screen the following error messages were happened...
I've no idea for that because I didn't use any variables or offset settings.
I guess that comes from header settings for the planning session because when I deleted the header settings for the planning sessions, I could see the planning layout.
but I could not use lock processing in the STS.
Could you tell me what's happening to me?
[ Following error message ]
Correct the data on variables and offset in character string "?
Message Number UPC_FW092
Long Text Diagnosis
Character string "", which contains data on the variables and offset, has an invalid format, and cannot be converted.
Procedure
Correct the character string, so that it has the correct format. A correct entry on variable and offset has the following form:
<VARIABLE_NAME> [{ + | - } OFFSET]
Examples:
VAR0
VAR1+1
VAR2 - 2.
Also check whether the variable, that you want to use is available in the planning area.Hello,
this seems to be a bug. The error message should include a variable name between ''. Since there is none, the function that raises the error was not called correctly.
It's not likely that this is related to STS since STS does not use variables at all. It's probably a problem with the layout. If you can't resolve it, please open a message to SAP Support.

Intermittent Runtime error - pure virtual function call
I have an intermittent runtime error - pure virtual function call & don't know what cause it? Since It only occurs & crashes once awhile therefore it's difficult to trap it for debugging.I suspect it come from TestStand ActiveX API which I use in my User Interface Application project but I'm not really sure.
Does anyone experience this kind of problem when working with TestStand API ? If so any
suggestion? I have noticed in the TestStand API header file teapi.tlh contain many raw_.... function defined as pure virtual function. What are these raw_... function ? I don't think I use any of these function in my project.
Many thanks!Danh,
I don't believe that your problem can be solved with the information you have provided unless someone else has experienced the same symtpoms which coincidentally have the same cause as in your case.
Is there any other information you can provide that can help localize the problem?
1) What is happening when the error occurs?
2) Does the error always occur in the same place?
3) Does it always occur with use of certain resources (e.g. DAQ, GPIB, VISA, printer)?
4) Does it occur when using the sequence editor?
5) Does it occur when using one of the shipping operator interfaces?
6) Does it occur only when using your operator interfaces?
7)Is it related to a specific sequence or any sequence?
8) Does it happen when you executed your sequence with/without a process model entr
y point (i.e. Execute>>Test UUTs, Execute>>Singal Pass or Execute>>Run MainSequence)?
9) How often does it happen?
10) What version of TestStand are you using?
11) With what language (include versions) are you programming your code modules?
12) With what language (include versions) are you programming your operator interface?
13) Is there any error code reported with this error message?
14) Is this error reported in a TS run-time error dialog or is it reported directly 1by the operating system?
15) Have you searched the web for related errors? For example, the following link describes a particular programming mistake that can lead to this error
http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q125/7/49.asp
By investigating answers to the above questions you may be able to narrow the cause of this error, which might allow you or others to help solve the problem. -
Error "pure virtual function call"
Hi,
Windows7, PCI-GPIB, NI-488.2 Version 3.1.1, Visual Studio 2010 C++ Application.
Randomly between 10 minuntes and 4 hours I get the error "pure virtual function call"
With the debbuger attached to the process in error I identified NI4882.dll as the source of the error.
Then I deinstalled NI-488.2 Version 3.1.1 and installed NI488.2 July 2000. Then my application runs without any error!
I tried to attach the source files which represents the interface between my application and the NI-4882 driver but it did not work for the C++ file.
Any help appreciated.
Best Regards
Walter

I have a SSIS project that I am newly running on the SQL server (2005) . It was previously run on my PC. I am importing data from a DB2 server to the SQL server.
I am in the SA group on the server
My connection to DB2 works
When open the package and run it in preview mode, I can retrieve the data.
When I execute the package I get the below errors:
[MIDAS OLE DB Source [1]] Error: The AcquireConnection method call to the connection manager "NGMDSPA.alharris" failed with error code 0xC0202009.
[DTS.Pipeline] Error: component "MIDAS OLE DB Source" (1) failed validation and returned error code 0xC020801C.
What I have already done that has not worked:
The original Protection level was set to EncryptSensitiveWithPassword.
I have reset the Package Password.
I have set the protection level to DontSaveSensitive
I saved the package on the server and set a Package Password.
I created a new package, set the Protection level to DontSaveSensitive, set a package password in a configuration file using the Package Configuration Wizard.
Error continuesYes. The Drivers are installed and I have a successfull connection. I am trouble shooting the issue on the server in BIDS. I can connect to the DB2 server via the Connectionmanager. I can also preview the data in the OLE
DB source connection. Therefore I know that I have a proper connection
If you're setting option as DontSaveSensitive then you need to pass the connection information from configuration file/ config table. Otherwise it wont be able to use it for connecting to your source/destination servers. This is the recommended way as it
will enable you to change connection info at runtime.
If you want connection info to persist you need to use protection level as EncryptSensitiveUsingUserKey or EncryptSensitiveUsingPassword and set a password.

to do with permission. Close SSCM window and this time right click on SQL server configuration manager and select run as administrator and check if you can see SQL server services

Error in Event Binding for Table UI element
Hi,
I had created a table UI element in my web dynpro component and it worked fine. After a few weeks, while I was making some other changes in the same module and did a syntax check on the component, I got this error "The event binding for element "TBL_ABC" contains errors". There is a "Correct errors" button given along with this error message, which removes the error. But I just wanted to know what is the reason for this error.
Regards,
Akshatha.Hi,
Please check for the cardinality of the node which you are using to bind for the TABLE UI element.
I think the cardinality should be either 1:N or 0:N.
Give it a try.

Binding definition error with programmed binding classes
Hi all,
640/NW04s/ECC5 SP14 system, I'm trying to use a programmed container->container binding class.
I've created my class implementing interface IF_SWF_IFS_BIND_TRANSFORM_CONT, but when I try to put it into the binding editor, it complains with:
SWF_BND_001/100: Error when executing binding operaton 'CNT'
I've tried all sorts, even gone as far as implementing the presentation interface and giving it a little icon in the binding editor (nice touch!).
Looks nice, but still no joy so back to basics: I figured to make sure there's no problem with my code I created two completely empty classes, one for Expression->Expression binding and one for Container->Container binding. The binding editor is happy with the expression binding class, but still gives the same message about the container binding class.
No luck with any notes on OSS, any input welcome...
Cheers
Mike
