Error 50410 No More Space in the Buffer

While running my VI I keep getting an error message saying Error 50410 occurred at DAQmx Stop Task.  Possible Reasons: There was no more space in the buffer when new data was written.  The oldest unread data in the buffer was lost as a result.
Occasionally, the error message comes on frequently, like once a minute, and then sometimes it doesn't come on at all.  Usually I just hit continue and the VI continues to run.
Attached is my VI.  The top Timed Loop is the main part of the program and inside this loop is when the error message occurs.

I included a stop button to stop all four timed loops.  So that problem is fixed.
I tried moving all the DAQmx Timing, DAQmx Start Task, and the DAQmx Stop Task all outside the timed loop.  I only left the DAQmx Read insided the timed loop.  I got strange behavior like it would run once and then stop.  I then tried all possible combinations of inside and outside the timed loop and it would fail to run, or it would run but display NAN for all entries.
As the VI gets more and more complicated it seems like the error message is increasing in frequency.
Ultimately the program has four functions:  1) Display on the front panel values at 0.5 Hz.  2) Perform an appended data save by recording 1 value at 1 Hz or maybe as high as 50 Hz.  3) Perform a buffered acquisition and save the data.  4) Open a file and plot some data.
With the exception of 3) I want the values to continuously display on the Front Panel at the requested 0.5 Hz.  I have chosen to use 4 Timed Loops to accomplish this.  Is there a better way?  How should all the DAQmx VIs be arranged with multiple Timed Loops?
Attached is my latest version.

  • " unable to allocate space from the buffer cache" Message

    Hi
I am trying to delete a large volume or records from a BTREE database. I have used the DB_SET_RANGE with a cursor to locate the desired records. After that the Dbc::get() with DB_NEXT is called. After deleting a considerable amount of records I am receiving a message in the error callback function as "unable to allocate space from the buffer cache".
What might be the reason for such a message.
    Regards
    Nisam

    Nisam,
This means that the cache is full and there are no pages that BDB can evict to make space. Are you running with the default cache size? You can increase the cache size by calling: dbenv->set_cachesize or db->set_cachesize.

  • QR code occupying more space around the barcode

    Hi,
I am creating a new form with 7 barcodes of type Paper forms Barcode(QR code). I have two problem in this...
    1) I am giving the same width and height for all the barcodes. But in the final output the size differes for all. two are of one size, other two are of other size and other 3 are of different size.
    2) And for the QR code it is taking more space around the barcode where the form is looking odd with more empty space?
So, How to make all the barcodes of same size?

    Hi All,
Frequently we are facing the issue with memory dump files which will creating space issue on the drive...
Each dump file occupying around 100 or 200 MB and it will creating every 1 mint..
please let us know how to resolve the issue.
    Thanks,

    Hello,
As per me memory dumps are generated when fatal error occurs.
How to avoid it ? See below
    1. Please apply latest Service pack as well as cumulative update .If you still receive this dumps please open a case with Microsoft and allow them to analyze the dumps
    2. Generally a SQL server not patched to latest SP or CU can cause this issue.
    Hope this helps
Out of curiosity..can you post one of the dumps ,what is output of below query

  • HT1750 i decide to upgrade to the OS X Mavericks not realizing I don't have enough hard disk space and now I cant do anything. How do I revert to the previous version to make more space on the HD?

I decided to upgrade to OS X Mavericks not realizing I don't have enough HD space. Now I cannot do anything with the upgrade. How can I revert to the previous OS X to free up more space on the HD?

You can't. It's already downloaded and filled the drive. The only option is to erase and reinstall.
You may be able to Target Disk Mode if you can connect the Mac to another with FireWire or Thunderbolt Cables (USB will not work and it cannot be connected to a windows PC)
Do you have a Time Machine Backup?
If not best option is getting it in somewhere where they can transfer the data you need off before Erase and Reinstalling OS.
Unless there is nothing on the Machine you need anymore that is, in which case you may be able to Erase in Recovery. It May not work though, if the Disk is too full.

  • Creating more space in the iPhone

TO update my iPhone 5S to there latest software (IOS 7.1.2), I receive a message saying that I need more space, as the software requires something like 700 megabytes. Many people seem to have a similar problem. I can easily delete some podcasts either directly on the iPhone or via unticking some podcasts within the iTunes program, before syncing the iPhone with iTunes.  However, when I look at the memory consumption within the iPhone via the iTunes program (the memory analysis at the bottom if the screen in iTunes), I can see that there is still 1.5 Gigabytes of unused memory.  So, why am I asked to delete stuff, when there is still so much memory available?

Yes, I understand it's not obvious that more than a gigabyte is needed for temporary storage.  After all, it hasn't been very long since computer disks could not hold as much as a gigabyte, and that was enough storage for the computer's operating system, software, and the user's personal files.  Storage and memory have become cheaper rapidly, and that seems to have caused an explosion in the amount of it used by our modern software.  The iPhone uses space for caching, temporary application data, etc.
    Enjoy your iPhone.

  • After Effects error: Unable to allocate space for image buffer

I am having some glitchy issues with After Effects, very inconsistent, but I am getting the error message "After Effects error: unable to Allocate Space for a 7500 x 4500 image buffer. You may be experiencing fragmentation. In the Memory and Multiprocessing Preference dialog box, trying increasing the RAM to leave for other applications, and selecting the Enable Disk Cache option in the Media & Disk Cache Panel".
Pretty straightforward, but I have a brand new 8 core dual 2.25 Mac Pro with 16GB Ram. I have it set to allow other applications to use 7GB, have jockeyed that setting between 1GB and 5GB and still gotten the same error message. Disk Cache is set to 3GB, have pushed it all the up to 7GB and still gotten the same message. I am working in 1080p, but I got the error message with Open GL on, quarter resolution, and wasn't even trying to RAM preview. I also noticed that with a straight 1080p clip .mov animation codec clip, after effects will only RAM preview about 7 seconds. That is without any other layers or effects.  I do not have all of my source footage in one folder, I am going to try that next. I am running of a fast internal hard drive that is not they system drive.  It also seems like it happens after I have been using the comptuer for awhile. If I restart the problem will usually go away for a little while.
I think that I may have a bigger system error, the computer locked up bad once after I had it for a few weeks and since that happened CS4 has been unstable in general, especially Photoshop and Bridge. My guess is bad RAM, but I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something with my AE settings.  If any one has any input please let me know. Thanks.

    > I lowered the minimum RAM per core to 1GB, because the Adobe site recommends that as a base setting for andHD project
When you say "the Adobe site recommends", what exactly are you referring to? If you're quoting recommendations written for After Effects on the Adobe website, you're very likely quoting me. And this is what I wrote in the Help document:
    "Memory & Multiprocessing preferences":
"The amount of RAM required for each background process varies depending on your system configuration; at least 1 GB per process is recommended. Optimum performance is achieved with computer systems with at least 2 GB of installed RAM per processor core."
This blog post gives essentially the same advice, but with more explicit suggestions.
But, as I say at the bottom of that blog post, if you find that some other settings are working better for you, that's great. Every project and computer system are different. Do what works for you.
    > Also, if it is an
dual quad core system, there should be 8 cores, but in the
multi-processer preferences panel it lists CPU's as 16.
The number of "virtual" processors can be double in a system that uses hyperthreading. After Effects doesn't actually treat these as separate processors in this context, though.

  • How can i avoid Errors by folders with spaces in the script

    Hello!
I have written (or better to say gathered) a script which should fix a problem in a network. Let me explain first what it should do.
Let's say we have a folder named Test with a lot of subfolders, one for each user of the network, which also contain many, many subfolders. The problem is that some user accidentally Drag and Drop subfolder into other subfolder. (E.g. D:\test\userA
is now in D:\test\UserB\UserA). And the next time User A wants to open his folder: It's gone. I really hope you can follow me because i am a little confused by myself right now. :)
And here is the thing, a VB Script with Icacls that change the User-Authorization in the first Level of Subfolders, so that they can't Drag and Drop anymore, though they have Full access to the content of the folder. So far my script works as far as
there a no spaces in the Foldername.
    D:\test\UserA works.
    D:\test\User A doesn't.
Here is my Script so far (i am german, so pls don't bother on the german names):
    Dim objFSO, strLogFile, objLogFile
    Const ForWriting = 2
    Set objFSO = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject")
strLogFile = "D:\dir_log.txt" 'Log File to show what was changes
    If objFSO.FileExists(strLogFile) Then
set objLogFile = objFSO.OpenTextFile(strLogFile, ForWriting, true)
    Else
       objFSO.CreateTextFile(strLogFile)
set objLogFile = objFSO.OpenTextFile(strLogFile, ForWriting, true)
    End If
    read_two_subfolders "D:\test",objLogFile, 0 '
    objLogFile.close
    function read_two_subfolders(strFolderPath, objLogFile, intCounter)
    On error Resume Next
    Dim objUnterordner, objFolder
if intCounter < 1 then 'Number of Subfolderlevel which should be changed
    Set objFSO = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject")
    Set objFolder = objFSO.GetFolder(strFolderPath)
    For each objUnterordner In objFolder.SubFolders
      objLogFile.WriteLine objunterordner.path
      read_two_subfolders objunterordner.path ,objLogFile, intCounter + 1
     Dim strFolder, strUser, strDomain
    strFolder = objunterordner.path
strUser = "Testuser" 'User or Group
strDomain = "Testdomain" 'Domain (should be left empty at local domains)

     Set objShell = CreateObject("Wscript.Shell")
     Set objFSOO = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject")
     If objFSOO.FolderExists(strFolder) Then
      intRunError = objShell.Run("icacls " & strFolder & " /inheritance:r /grant:r " & strDomain &"\" & strUser & ":RX ", 2, True)
      If intRunError <> 0 Then
Wscript.Echo "Error assigning permissions for user" & strUser & " to folder" & strFolder
      End If
     Else
Wscript.Echo "error: folder" & strFolder & " does not exist."
     End If

    Hi LW,
while I don't always see eye-to-eye with JRV, I really have to agree with him on this: Trying to make this work would probably be an act of futility. I highly recommend trying to learn powershell and do it there. Here are some links to commands that will
get you started on your problem:
    Get-Help
    Get-Member
    Get-ChildItem
    Get-Acl
    New-AccessRule
    Set-Acl
For producing something to order, you're best recourse is indeed a consultant however. I'd say this is more of a fish problem: Give a man to fish or teach him how to fish, so I highly recommend learning the skills for yourself. Your own skills will never
    abandon you.
    Cheers and good luck,

As you can see there is not an error message, the installation simply stops when the try to check the space available for tablespaces.

  • If I bought more space on the iCloud under a old apple id but I am using a new one will that space be with my new id?

I bought more space for my iPad 2  but I was logged in under a old apple id. I am using a new id. Will my iPad have the space when I back it up? Or can I change my new id to the space I just bought?
    Thanks!

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Your iPad will only back up to the iCloud account it is logged into, you cannot transfer additional space purchased under one account to another.

  • How to acquire more space on the Hard Drive

Hi everyone! I hope some one has the time to walk me thru steps to take to get more space on my HD. My comoputer is running very slow. I have been reading this site for info. I have a powerbook G4, 867 MHz, 1 GB SDRAM, only 40 gig HD. I run, iphoto, CS2, mail and safari. I only edit digital photos and do email and surfing.
I read from a post to delete the console log from finder. I clicked on the HD icon and went to library/logs/console and delete some things from it. I hope I didn't screw up.
I have deleted some languages and lots and lots of docs etc.
I am wondering if I should get rid of the dash board widgets? would that help? I never use them. if so how do I do that??
I feel stupid for having to ask this probably very basic question but I sure hope someone will help me.
    Thanks alot
    Diana

General clean up is never a bad idea if you are careful about what you get rid of. However, if you are running out of space you should concentrate on getting rid of larger files. There are a number of ways to do this built-in to "OS X", two of them are using the Option-F Finder key and specifying file size, etc. and using the terminal (my preference being an old Unix-junkie).
There are also applications made for this. Easiest might be DiskSweeper (http://www.omnigroup.com/applications/omnidisksweeper/), you can use it for free - just have to delete the files yourself. Again, know what something is before you delete it.
Oh, and an external hard drive is always a good idea. I try to move most of my non-speed critical files off the main drive to maintain a healthy drive.

  • Was trying to buy more space, hit the wrong key, and now it is hanging mon my iPad.  How can I get rid of it?

I was trying to buy more space on iCloud , hit the wrong key, and now it is hanging on my iPad.  What to do?

A reset may help. Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off buttons for approximately 15-20 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. When the logo appears, release both buttons.
No content is affected by this procedure.

  • HT4914 I have about 60,000 songs. Can I buy more space in the iTunes Match cloud?

I bought iTunes Match for my music library. I have over 60,000 songs and iTunes only allows 25,000 songs to be stored. Can I buy more space now? Will they be increasing the song limit sometime? I saw that the Amazon song cloud can keep up to 100,000 songs. I hope Apple increases their limit soon.

If you're deleting all of them, use ctrl-A to select all, then right-click and Delete.
If you want to delete a range, click the first one, scroll down and shift-click the last one. Then delete.
