Error - add Server to the Server pool - VM Manager/Server 3.1.1

Hello,
1) I installed VM Manager 3.1.1 (IP: 192.168.1.51)
2) installed VM Server 3.1.1 (ovs-5e-94-c1) (IP: 192.168.1.22)
3) Created a Server pool (Virtual IP : 192.168.1.80) and option Clustered Server Pool unchecked
4) discovered VM Server moved in the Unassigned Servers folder
5) created Network 192.168.1.0 with all options checked (Server management, Live migrate, Cluster Heartbeat, Virtual machine, Storage)
5) but I can't add Server to the Server pool, I get the following error message?
I understand it may be a problem of unknown hostname, but I don't know what to add to the etc/hosts file on the manager or the server?

Thanks DBagy, it's working fine!
1) I installed VM Manager 3.1.1 (IP: 192.168.1.51)
2) installed VM Server 3.1.1 (name: ovs-5e-94-c1) (IP: 192.168.1.22)
3) Created a Server pool (name: PRQ1 and Virtual IP : 192.168.1.80) and option Clustered Server Pool unchecked
4) discovered VM Server moved in the Unassigned Servers folder
5) created Network 192.168.1.0 with all options checked (Server management, Live migrate, Cluster Heartbeat, Virtual machine, Storage)
Solution: 6) Add to /etc/hosts of the OVM Server the line : 192.168.1.22   ovs-5e-94-c1
7) In VM Manager: add VM server ovs-5e-94-c1 to Server pool PRQ1 --> Completed.

One more question about NSDP, Im still wondering how can NSDP work as you only need to declare nsdpInfo.setKeyColumn("xx") --xx
Eg. My result set come from OBIEE, it hase 2 column xx and yy.
Im just copy the sample code to translate the output into xml, the output sample is like:
    Column 1 Column 2
    440100 0
    440200 5
    440300 1
So how can MapViewer know that the second column is the value column?
The same question is about when the output is multiple column.

  • Error Message: JBO-30003: The application pool

    Dear Members,
I've an application that was developed using JDeveloper 3 and BC4J Components. This application currently running on WebSphere Application Server (WAS) 3.5 and Oracle 8i. Now I'm trying to deploy the same on WAS 5.1.x and Oracle 9i on Solaris.
Before deploying the application on Solaris, I tried to deploy on Windows XP and WAS 5.0 Test Server. And I succeeded. Hence I generated .ear file using WebSphere Application Studio Developer.
I'm able to successfully deploy the .ear on WAS 5.1.x. However when I access the application. I'm getting following error.

    Gina,
I would recommend checking out the following HowTo's recently posted on OTN by the JDev Team. They may indicate where your problem is occuring and how to fix it:
Set up your Webserver to run BC4J: http://technet.oracle.com:89/ubb/Forum2/HTML/006397.html
Deploy a BC4J JSP Application on iAS and Tomcat: http://technet.oracle.com:89/ubb/Forum2/HTML/006398.html
How to Deploy Multiple BC4J JSP Web Apps to the same Webserver: http://technet.oracle.com:89/ubb/Forum2/HTML/006726.html
Note, if you are deploying on iAS, the Online Orders tutorial application comes with that release, so you might want to refer to the last HowTo to make sure your webserver is set up to handle multiple apps, even if one if them isn't yours!

I just purchased the Mac Mini Server with the intention of replacing Lion Server with Lion for the first hard drive while installing Windows 7 thru Bootcamp on the second hard drive. Is it possible for me to do this? Thanks.

I would use Parallels or VMWare and use the second drive to hold the virtual machine. That way the VM only uses the space that it needs and you can still use the remainder of the drive for other things, not to mention that you would not need to reboot to run windows.
Also Time Machine does not back up a boot camp partition.

  • The Managed Metadata Service or Connection is currently not available. The Application Pool or Managed Metadata Web Service may not have been started. Please Contact your Administrator.

    Hi,
I'm not able to access the term store. I get an below mentioned error.
"The Managed Metadata Service or Connection is currently not available. The Application Pool or Managed Metadata Web Service may not have been started. Please Contact your Administrator. "
Since this is happening on my local machine (Dev environment). I have full control on the term store and the all the site collections.
Hence, this is not a permission issue.
I have checked, the Metadata service is active on the machine. All the application pools in IIS is running.
After reading one of the recommendation on internet, I created a new Managed Metadata Service.
After which I was able access both (old and new) MMS from Central Admin only (highlight the MMS from manage service applications and click Manage ) and not from the site collection (term store management).
Now again its not working after I did an IISRESET.
The managed metadata service (Managed Metadata Service Connection) is grayed out.
    ULS Error says:
Failed to create ManageLink for service proxy 'Managed Metadata Service'. Exception: System.TimeoutException: The request channel timed out attempting to send after 00:00:09.9999999. Increase the timeout value passed to the call to Request or increase the SendTimeout

Please let me know if you need more information.

    Hi Victoria,
    Thanks for your reply
I tried making all the changes you had recommended and which are mentioned in the link you have provided.
I tried making all possible combination of changes to the web.config and client.config files but it does not make any difference to the environment.
One thing is that, my error in ULS logs has changed.
    Error 1:

  • Remote Server Output of Weblogic 8.1 managed server.

    Just have a quick question.
Where's the exact(default) location of the file that is showing on Server>Control>Remote Start Output>View Server Output.

    Thanks,
I found the file under user_projects/domains/mydomain/NodeManagerClientLogs/mydomain_someserver folder. But they were organized with the date and time as the file name. Can I configure the system to point to a file with fixed name so that I can view it from a servlet, for example. One of the reasons is the file may grow to big and it will take a long time to load up from console and check it from there. Second question is if it is possible to redirect both stdout and stderr to a single file. I can do it from the command line when starting weblogic (> a.out 2>1&). But I don't know how to do the same in Remote managed server startup.

  • How to add VM guest in VM pool from OV Server .

In case of non availability of OVM-Manager I have created virtual server using virt-install command.
Now the problem is how do i add the guest in a particular virtual pool. Is there any specific command for adding a vm in virtual pool using ovm server and not ovm manager?

Is there any specific command for adding a vm in virtual pool using ovm server and not ovm manager? You can't do anything with the pool unless Oracle VM Manager is running. Even the OVMCLI utility requires the Manager to be online. So, while the Manager is offline, your existing guests will continue, including supporting any HA configuration for those guests, but you will not be able to add new guests to the pool or modify any pool configuration until the Manager comes back online.
To ensure that your Oracle VM Manager is always available, I recommend checking out the "[Using Oracle Clusterware to Protect Oracle VM Manager|http://www.oracle.com/technologies/virtualization/docs/ovm-clusterware-whitepaper.pdf]" whitepaper.

  • Errors of BEA-101147 during shutdown if a managed server form a cluster

    Hi there,
We have a cluster with two machines running one managed server on each. Acces to these servers is made with mod_wl.so on Apache. The problem we´re having is: when I shutdown one of the managed servers it seems to undeploy the web application before stopping serving requests. Issuing thus the following error message on the log:
              <br>
####<05/10/2004 08h19min43s BRT> <Debug> <HTTP> <calipso> <calipsoFOCC> <ExecuteThread: '0' for queue: 'weblogic.socket.Muxer'> <<WLS Kernel>> <> <<b>BEA-101147</b>> <HttpServer(20184735,null default ctx, calipsoFOCC) Found no context for "/externo/portal/pop/sendData.jsp". This request does not match the context path for any installed Web applications, and there is no default Web application configured.>
              <br>
The effect for the end user is that he receives 404 errors. Even tought the session is being replicated to the other server. <br>
I´m running WLS Premium 8.1SP2.. If anyone has a clue on this I would be very greateful.<br>
              Regards,<br>

    Hi,
You didn't mention what WLS release you are using. There is a known problem with 8.1sp2 and 8.1sp3. You should open a case with BEA Support and reference change request number CR185885.

  • Visio SCOM Add-In - Distributed Application Export not Contacting Management Server

I have installed the Visio 2010 SCOM Add-In to my copy of Visio 2013 (since there is no 2013 Add-in and there seemed to be enough articles that it *should* work). I can connect to my Management server from a blank diagram and add objects without issue, although
I seem to have to reconnect every time I start a new drawing. Not that the configuration is gone, I just can't do anything until I go into Configure and click OK. The real issue though is that when I go into SCOM and export a Distributed Application as a Visio
Diagram and then open it in Visio, it is not connecting to the Management server and none of the objects seem to have any SCOM data associated with them. I have tried manually linking the objects in the drawing to SCOM objects but this does not work, even
though I can see the SCOM objects.
For reference, I am doing all of this work on my Win7 machine with Visio 2013. I have the SCOM console installed on my machine. SCOM is SCOM2012 R2 running on a 2012 server.
    Thanks for any suggestions.

    Hi,
Would you please install this add-in on another new brand Windows and check the result.
I hope these can help you:

  • Integrating Exchange Server in the cloud with Project / Sharepoint Server internal

    Hi,
I wonder how do I integrate service Exchange Server with Project Server 2010.
I have a Project Server 2010 you need to send emails with project updates and other integrations with Outlook.O standard procedure is to perform procedures (run commands in Exchange Server Shell) and create users in Project Server.
But I have a situation where my client uses a service exchange in the cloud and not a server for internal mail.
How do I integrate Project Server with Exchange this scenario where the mail server is an external service (cloud)?
I made the settings as the procedure () but got no success, no mail was received to be alert or reminder:
Below are the screens with the settings that were made.
    Crawl Resource Configuration (http://technet.microsoft.com/pt-br/library/ee806927(v=office.14).aspx)
    1) I Installed SMTP service on my server.
    2) I made the configuations above
    3) I configured the outgoing/Ingoing Setting in Sharepoint Central Administration

    Hi Marcelo,
Without providing the extended rights to project user, I dont think you will be able to successfully integrate project server with exchange cloud. Here is the technet article about how to integrate it with extended rights which needs running commands running
    on exchange server:

    Hi,
Add -Dweblogic.StdoutDebugEnabled flag while starting the managed server and then post the verbose error message in your next post
For setting the flag follow the below steps
If your using Linux box and not using node manager to start the managed server, add the below line startManagedWebLogic.sh file
    JAVA_OPTIONS="-Dweblogic.StdoutDebugEnabled=true ${JAVA_OPTIONS}"
    echo "JAVA_OPTIONS=${JAVA_OPTIONS}"
If your using Windows box and not using node manager to start the managed server, add the below line startManagedWebLogic.cmd file
    set JAVA_OPTIONS=-Dweblogic.StdoutDebugEnabled=true %JAVA_OPTIONS%
    echo JAVA_OPTIONS=%JAVA_OPTIONS%
If you are starting the Managed server through the node manager then use these flags From Admin console : servers >>>. MS1 >>>> server start >>>> Arguments :-Dweblogic.StdoutDebugEnabled=true

  • Server start arguments ignored when starting managed server

    Hi
We have configured a bunch of arguments for the managed server through the Admin Console in the Server->Start Arguments
However those arguments are not picked up when we are starting the managed server.
We are using a shell script to start the managed server using the weblogic.Admin class functionality.
If the arguments are set in the JAVA_OPTIONS of setDomainEnv.sh, then they are picked up when starting the managed server.
The nodemanager is configured with startScriptEnabled=true and startscript set to startWeblogic.sh.
This is the scenario in Weblogic 10.0.0.
Can anybody please explain why the arguments are not picked up?
We tried the same arguments in Weblogic 10.2 and the arguments are picked up even if they are not configured in setDomainEnv.sh
Is the difference in behavior because of the difference in versions?
    Edited by: user1030647 on Aug 29, 2010 12:26 AM

Thanks Jay for the immediate responses.
The thing I am worried about is it seems the behavior in Weblogic 10.0.2 seems to be in consistent with the behavior in Weblogic 10.0.0.
In Weblogic 10.0.2, even if the JAVA_OPTIONS in setDomainEnv.sh do not include the paramaters that are set in "Server Start->Arguments", when starting the managed servers, they are picked up as can be seen from the managed server log files.
However, in Weblogic 10.0.0, it seems that these options are not picked up when they are configured in "Server Start->Arguments". Only when they are configured in setDomainEnv.sh are they picked up.
Do you have any info which points to this discrepancy?

  • JMS Server is not Migrating to other Managed Server using Databse Leasing

    Hi,
    WLS 10.3 on Linux Itanium.
I Tried JMS Server migration but its not working.
Below is the Configuration Details :-
    1. Cluster with three managed servers( MS1,MS2,MS3 )
2.JMS Server is targeted on MS1(migratable)
3.created Persistant store as JDBC store for JMS Server and targeted it to MS1(migratable)
    4.Environment -> Cluster->Migration Tab
    -Migration Basis :- Database
-DataSource For Automatic Migration -> DS1
         -Auto Migration Table Name:(ACTIVE)
5.Created a table ACTIVE as per schema given in WL_HOME/server/db/dbname/leasing.ddl (I am using Oracle database at backend and Database is running and accessible)
    6.Created Jms module (say module1)
    -target module1 to Cluster.
    7.Create Subdeployment(say "sub1") and target to JmsServer
8.Create Queue.and select subdeployment as "sub1" which was created above.
    9.I am using default JMSXAconnectionfactory
    10.Environment -> Migratable Targets->Select MS1(Migratable)->Migration tab
-Service Migration Policy->Auto Migration Exactly Once Service
                   -Constrained Cadidate Servers :-
Selected all the servers in that cluster
but when I check the Current Server for JMS Server (It should be MS1) which is not displayed. The field in the table is blank.
(Environment->Messaging->JMS Server->here i checked the Current Server for JMS Server )
with the above setting I did it successfully on windows platform. I am able to see Current Server as MS1.and when I shutdown MS1 it changes to either MS2 or MS3
but when I am doing it on Winodows I am explicitly creating connection factory and targeting it to cluster.but on linux platform I am not creating any connection factory(default JMS XA Connection Factory is used)
I have tried a lot to find why its not working but didnt get any idea why so happened?
    Required your help
    Thanks in Advance ........

I managed to start my managedserver. The issue was with startmanagedserver command.I modified it to my need.
