Error after renaming web item

After renaming a web item in the Web Application Designer I get the following error message:
E360 bi-tag bi:item has unknown attribute key; please check your spelling
As far as I can tell there is nothing wrong with the new name.
Does anybody know what is causing this and what to do about it?

I don't know why this error appears, but you can get rid of the error message if you do the following steps:
- switch to XHTML-View in your webtemplate
- click on 'bi:item' in the error message to jump to the error
- delete key="" from the source-code of your webitem
- switch back to Layout-View. The error-message should no longer appear
To avoid this in future, maybe you should apply the latest frontend patch. I can't reproduce the error with support package 12.

Viewing an Analysis Application in BI Launch Pad : "Error while generating Web Item"

Dear all,
I'm testing an Analysis Application containing an SDK Extension.
It works fine when I execute the application locally.
However, when I execute it on the BI Platform, this error message comes up : Error while generating Web Item
I do have installed the Extension on the Platform :
The Adaptive Processing Server running the Analysis Application Service has been restarted.

anywhere...the solution builds fine, this is only happening at runtime...I'm not sure where to look for what is generating this text?

Error in converting Web Items from 3.x to 7.0

We are converting web items created in 3.0 to 7.0 using the program RSZW_ITEM_MIGRATION_3X_TO_70. It is converting all items, but the items that are not assigned to a library in 3.0 are not getting assigned to a role, although I am using the check box - 'Put unassigned items to role' and giving an existing role. I can see the converted item using the 'Find' functionality.
And maybe because the web items are not assigned to a role, when I am trying to convert a web template, it says that these web items need conversion.
Please let me know if there is any solution to the problem.

Hello Oscar,
Every workbook that was created with the BW 3.x system, when you open it in the new BI 7 system, the system will prompt that message for migration.
But only after you save the workbook (that you open with BI 7) in the BI 7 Analyzer is the workbook really saved. If you don't save it, it will continue to show that message and you'll continue to have it in version 3.X
Also be aware that after you migrate (save in BI 7 version) the workbook will no longer be executed any more in the BW 3.x version, only in BI 7.

File sync error after renaming jpg file on desktop

I changed the file name of a photo in my desktop backup of my Treo 755p photos from the default format of Photo_[date]_xyz.jpg to Matisse by fire2_101208.jpg.
The path is:
C:\Program Files\Palm\[username]\Photos\offline copy location\7dba\Palm on Card\Matisse by fire2_101208.jpg
Now I get the following error after hotsync.
Unable to sync media file 'Matisse by fire2_101208.jpg' on desktop. Error code: 32.
OK Media with 1 message(s)
I also changed two others to
Matisse by fire1_101208.jpg and
Matisse by fire3_101208.jpg
but am not getting errors on those.
I can open the file specified so I don't think it is corrupted.
I'm using Hotsync 6.0.1.
I could not find error 32 anywhere. Is ther a list of all the Hotsync errors somewhere?
Any ideas?

as far as i understood the explanation, you renamed the picture manually by going into the path that you stated in your post right?
when your rename the file, have you check if it did show the file extensions?
try to reveal the file extensions by going back to the location (folder). click on tools>folder options>view>uncheck hide extensions for known file types.
then click ok. try to see on what's the difference in the 3 files you mentioned. i suspect that the erring file has 2 jpeg extensions on it.

3.Renames s_company,sk_company

Do you see the application status active in the Admin console?
Are you testing the web application by typing the complete URL in the browser that includes the name of the webpage including the context root , ipaddress/hostname and port number of Server..?
404 indicates application doesn't exist.
Please share the URL you are testing.
Please check the server log if you found any deployment issues when deploying your application?

FTP send to VAN process generates error after rename attempt on file already moved to an archive.

I am sending an EDI file to a server managed by a VAN (This same process handles multiple other FTP locations, first VAN), what is happening is that after the file is dropped the FTP adapter does a rename and tries to add the file extension .edi to the file.
The problem is that the VAN moves the file as soon as it is received to an archive and by the time the adapter tries to rename the file is gone and an error is sent back to BizTalk.
The file is in the VAN fine and according to them they don't care about missing a file type.
The problem is that I start getting the suspended messages in BizTalk and I have a manual process that tries to resend suspended messages causing duplicate files to be sent.
I tried to issue a "QUIT" on the "AFTERPUT" property but this did not work, how do I stop BizTalk from trying to rename the file or tell BizTalk not to send a "fail" message back.

browser shows

socket result code missing !!!
Is seems the plugin can't call the remote web application.
I see a establised connection between the web server and die application
server port 10818 (Exec Proc)
and to the LDAP server port 50505.
If I connect directly the web server installed lokaly the appilkation runs
(fortune).
Any idee ?

In the error case there is a NameTrans Lookup failure for the web
application.
The naming service from the application server can't locate the fortune
application.

Bex error after launching Web Template to Portal

After execution of any Bex template from BW system . It launches it into portal but after login the result is displayed but with an error

DCOM 10009 error after renaming local computer name. (No network computers involved in this issue)

The DCOM 10009 error generated references the previous name of the computer. Here is the scenario:
These aren't the real names of the computer). The computer was named
computerX-NEW and was renamed to computerX during deployment setup. The DCOM error states "DCOM was unable to communicate with the computer
computerX-NEW using any of the configured protocols." When I look at the error details, a PID is referenced which turns out to be the RPCSS process/service. I suspected a piece of software that was installed on the computer until I performed
a Clean Boot with all startup programs disabled and all non-Microsoft services disabled. The error still occured. Also the error is occuring about 5 or 6 times per minute. The only thing I can start doing at this point is disabling MS services at boot to find
the culprit, but I'd like a less brutal approach to correct the issue. Any suggestions?

The following are possible causes of this error:
1. Name resolution errors are occurring.
2. All TCP ports on the server are being used.
3. TCP port collisions are occurring.
4. The network connections may not be configured properly.
To troubleshoot DCOM 10009 errors, use the following methods.
Method 1: Verify that name resolution is working correctly
The activation page for a COM+ proxy application contains a Remote Server Name (RSN) property. The RSN property can be an IP address, a Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN), or a NetBIOS name. To troubleshoot this issue, use the ping command to test connectivity
to the remote server by using the IP address, the FQDN, and the NetBIOS name.
Method 2: Verify TCP port usage
When a client makes DCOM calls to a COM+ server application, each connection may use a different TCP port. Therefore, all TCP ports on the server may be used. When this condition occurs, the server cannot accept additional connections.
Method 3: Verify basic network connectivity to troubleshoot TCP collision issues
Method 4: Check the network connections. Check the Registry under HKEY Local Machine/Software/Microsoft/RPC/DCOM Protocols for the list of RPC protocol sequences.

I am getting error message "Item Catalog Group Descriptive Elements Open Interface import completed successfully for all records in this record set." when i am submitting Import Items Seeded program.
data is loaded into master organization successfully but no records were created in child organizations.
Apps version is 11.5.10.2
The same program with same code ran successfully a week back.
Any help is appreciated.

HELP pls!! error in renaming web page

I am getting acquainted with iWeb as of today and created a web site that I have yet to publish. The problem I've encountered is with renaming a few of my web pages. I've made revisions, etc. and in the process saved the project, however, now I am simply trying to rename two pages to correct the lowercase to an uppercase letter and it simply reverts to the original name I assigned to the page. I've tried duplicating the page and renaming, but it restricts me from renaming the duplicate and I am left with (for example) "about me 2".
Any help would be MUCH appreciated!! It seems i've encountered some sort of glitch and it's frustrating me!

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Try renaming the pages to something entirely different, save and then rename back to what you want in the case you want. See if that will stick.

Error after deploying Web Part

Hi ,,
I am Preparing my Company Portal using SharePoint 2013 ,
I install sharepoint and Sql in same Server .
Then I create my web application and siteCollection and everything is fine.
Next I develop a custom Webpart using VisulaStudio 2012 which read the data from another Server ,
and I test the Webpart in standalone machine and it's work fine.
when I deploy the WebPart to my Real server , It dos't fetch the data. I put the Connection String in IIS and I put the Identity in application pool same User which I put it in SharePoint wizard that Run all the service ,
I try to logging to that server using the same Username and everything is fine.
I get Confused why it's not work and I already have Sharepoint2010 portal with The same webpart it's work Fine
Why it dose't fetch the Data?
Is there any setting I miss It?

Is there Alternate Access Mapping set on the real server , if yes you need to give the AAM Url or find the actual site url in Alternate access mapping manage page.
