Error... Apache Tomcat/4.0.3 - HTTP Status 404 ??

I receive this error when I type http://localhost:8080/servlet/ShowError (ShowError being my app)
The rest of the page says...

message: /servlet/ShowError
description: The requested resource (/servlet/ShowError) is not available.
I put ShowError.jsp in Tomcat\Webapps\Root directory and I put ShowError.class in Tomcat\webapps\ROOT\WEB-INF\classes directory. I do not know what else to do. Tomcat is definitely running.
I can successfully execute an example servlet by typing http://localhost:8080/examples/servlet/RequestInfoExample which came with Tomcat.
Any ides?

You are trying to run a servlet called ShowError.
Try running the JSP file you have called ShowError.jsp.
try typing http://localhost:8080/ShowError.jsp

Hi,
ClassFormatError is Thrown when the Java Virtual Machine attempts to read a class file and determines that the file is malformed or otherwise cannot be interpreted as a class file.
So check whether you have properly configured servlet and whether class file is VALID and is in right place or not.

At a guess, you have upgraded from a previous version of java?
And you installed Tomcat with the previous version?
Check which version of Java the Tomcat engine is actually using:
System.getProperty("java.version")
Probably it still has some remnants of 1.3 around that it is using.
Just a guess...

No, neither registerDriver nor newInstance are the problem.
Your JDBC driver class isn't in the CLASSPATH.
Put the JAR in the TOMCAT_HOME/common/lib directory and restart Tomcat. - MOD

Http status 404: Not Found Error in BPC Admin

When opening BPC Admin, click on Manage Security, Manage Applications, Application Sets, etc. receiving an error message - The request failed with HTTP status 404: Not Found.
At this point we can not add users or import data.

Please make sure you have installed the BPC Admin on your PC first. If you've installed, you could use the BPC Admin without SAP Web. You can see the file .exe in the directory "C:\Program Files\BPC" and click the file name "OsoftAdminMain.exe" and please make sure again you have the admin privillage in SAP BPC.

For a better troubleshooting, I suggest you to do as follows:
1. On server side you can access the Workflow.asmx from IE to make sure there are no problems in code logic.
2. On client side you can also access Workflow.asmx from IE to see if it returns error.

WLS 8.1 Apache Plug-in is changing HTTP status code 999 to 500

I'm seeing the weblogic server 8.1 sp4 apache plug-in change the HTTP status code of 999 (set by the application) to 500 Internal Server Error. I'm seeing this with Apache 2.0.48 on aix and with Apache 2.0.58 on windows. I've tried the plug-in from 8.1 SP2, SP4 and SP6 with all yielding the same result. I've tried the SSL plug-in too - same result. I'm told by the maker of this application that they are not seeing this issue with the plug-in for SunOne/NES. What does BEA say about the Apache plug-in changing the http status code? Why is it doing this? Why doesn't the SunOne/NES plug-in do it? Can you provide a plug-in that does not do this?

Try setting
Debug ALL
inside your IfModule. All proxy activity will be written to /tmp/wlproxy.log (on
unixes). If no info appears in the log, Apache is not invoking the plug-in properly.

- they work correctly).
There is nothing in apache’s error_log file.
There is a record in access_log file reading:
192.168.10.126 - - [08/Jun/2004:16:23:32 -0700] "GET /public/testwebapp
HTTP/1.1"
404 1214
which gives me an impression that “proxy” – forwarding does not work.
Where should I look for some errors?

I have a web page that contains a ReportViewer control. I am trying to display a report, which is an .rdl file located on the SSRS server, in this ReportViewer control. I have set the ReportPath and ReportServerUrl correctly. I am
getting an error message.
Am I suppose to use an .rdlc file rather than a .rdl file? Does the web server configuration need to use a certain account?

The error "The request failed with HTTP status 404: Not Found." means the ReportServerURL configured in the ReportViewer control is invalid.
Please follow these steps to solve the issue:
Logon the Report Server machine.
Open the Reporting Services Configuration Manager.
Copy the Report Server URL from 'Web Services URL'.
Logon the application server(in this case, it is the server that host the web page), check if we can use the URL we got from step 3 to access the Report Server. If so, please replace the ReportServerURL in the ReportViewer control with this URL. If it is
not available, could you please post the error message.
Additionaly, we don't need to provide the extension for a server report. The ReportPath should be like: /<reports folder>/<report name>
