lot of respect to you .I just went through ur profile
in sdn. I even haven't had thought that I am going
to get a reply that spontaneously.Don't overrrate that. For instance, I can't help you with EJBs. Go to the EJB forum, post the error messages you get and the information about your environment. Then post a link here pointing to your new thread there.

    Paul -- It looks like the problem may be that you are using a date attribute in your EJB-QL. This is a weakness in EJB-QL in that is is not allowed. Per the specification they recommend using a long representing time as milliseconds like that generated using java.util.Calendar. An option we allow in OC4J to work around this issue is to override your generated SQL in the orion-ejb-jar.xml. This is probably the easiest way to work through this.
    To test my theory I would try to just remove the the date related clause and see if it works (although of course the data would be wrong.)

    Have you installed kernel headers ?

    Patch is now included in package.

    Is there a reason that after all of this time this is still only available in AUR, why isn't this module available in the package repository?
    Comment by rhon (2013-08-22 04:46)
    I guess it's because the package doesn't get enough votes.

    Package is now orphan because I don't use the devices anymore, so I can't test the module.

    looks like your xml file(ejb-jar.xml) is missing some required tag element or
    the elements are out of
    order. the format is specified in a dtd, you should take a look at the dtd for
    ejb-jar.xml. for wl5.1, try looking under c:\weblogic for ejb-jar.dtd

  • Error while running ejbc. Fatal error from EJB Compiler ---- Error while pr

    Hi!
    I was deploying a test application for a session bean with sun 1 studio 5 and I started getting this message while deploying.
    I had tested the bean previously and I had no problems.
    I found this in the sun app server 7 release notes, but I don't understand what I'm supposed to do...
    "Deployment of CMP beans fails.
    The following error is thrown because there are no <query-params> entries in the container-managed persistence (CMP) bean in sun-ejb-jar.xml file:
    Error while running ejbc. Fatal error from EJB Compiler ---- Error while processing CMP beans.
    Solution
    Even if it isn't necessary for the CMP beans, add the query-params tag for finders in the sun-ejb-jar.xml file with the empty parameters."

    http://docs.sun.com/source/817-2175-10/decmp.html
    Please go to the above docs and look thru the examples given in it.
    Example 2
    This query returns all products in a specified price range. It defines two query parameters which are the lower and upper bound for the price: double low, double high. The filter compares the query parameters with the price field:
    "low < price && price < high"
    The finder element of the sun-ejb-jar.xml file would look like this:
    <finder>
    <method-name>findInRange</method-name>
    <query-params>double low, double high</query-params>
    <query-filter>low < price && price &lt
    high</query-filter
    </finder>
    I hope this hepls. In your case u just have to make it null.

  • Error compiling single ejb using appc/ejbc (long)

    This may be related to my earlier post ("no longer able to build ejb
    using appc (WLS 8.1)", posted this morning), but the error and the way I
    encountered it were different enough that I thought I'd post as a new
    topic. I've been trying to build a project using weblogic 8.1, but I've
    been running into some problems.
    As a test, I tried compiling a single ejb from the command line using
    the new appc compiler. I compiled the source files and moved them to a
    clean build directory, along with the deployment descriptors. From the
    command line, I set the system classpath to the bare minimum necessary
    to build the ejb-- the jdk tools.jar, the jre rt.jar, the weblogic.jar
    file, the project bin directory, the log4j.jar, and my database driver
    jar (see [1] and the echoed resulting classpath at [2] below). I then
    invoked appc, specifying the output and source paths ([3]). The
    resulting error ([4]) shows a much larger classpath, which abruptly ends
    with a "?". I ran the same test using ejbc instead of appc, and I get
    the very same problem (same error message). I've never encountered
    problems like these before, and other than upgrading to weblogic 8.1, my
    system configuration hasn't changed. Any ideas or suggestions would be
    greatly appreciated!

    Hi Tim,
    I just got past a similar problem by specifying the full path to javac
    in build.xml. Like:
    <wlappc source="${dest.dir}" compiler="C:\bea\jdk141_02\bin\javac"
    />
    Tim Perrigo <[email protected]> wrote in message news:<[email protected]>...

  • How to compile EJB 3.0 in command line

    Dear all,
    I want to know how to using command line to compile the EJB 3.0 bean.
    I have a set of source written in EJB 3.0, if i put in NetBeans and help me to build a ear, it works.
    But when i try to using command mode , it has problem.
    The Step to compile:
    1) Compile the source, all can compile .javac -d . -classpath %JAVAEE_HOME%\lib\javaee.jar;. ..\src\foo\*.java
    2) using the same "META-INF" that compiled by netbeans, include with the compiled class and build an jar file
    3) build a ear
    How ever when i deploy to glassfish 2.0
    It prompts me the descriptor error, cannot deploy to server.
    Can anyone tell me which step is missing ?
    Thanks
    Best Regard,
    Ben

    As long as you are not more specific about the steps you take to verify that the ears are the same, I cannot offer any more help. All I can say is: your assumption is wrong, because if they were the same, it would work. Simple logic is usually the best.

  • Error deploying ejb

    Please, help, I get an #225 error when running an ejb app in the jdeveloper app server.
    I have created an entity bean from a database table. Then created a session bean. The remote interface gets automatically generated "finders" like in:
    @Remote
    public interface SessionEJB
    List<Alarms> findAllAlarms()
    throws NamingException;
    Alarms createAlarms(String ackSignature, String actionOnAck,
    Long alarmConf, String alarmlevel,
    String closeSignature, String comments, Long id,
    String parameter, String repairDone, String state,
    Long train, String trainname, Long value, Long wheel,
    String wheelname, Timestamp when)
    throws NamingException;
    void updateEntity(Object entity)
    throws NamingException;
    void deleteEntity(Object entity)
    throws NamingException;
    void refreshEntity(Object entity)
    throws NamingException;
    However, when I try to run the SessionEJBBean I get the error below. I don't understand what went wrong??

    but I keep on getting this error on a Solaris machine. Any help/info would be
    appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,

    It looks like you still don't have javac in your $PATH.
    You also should remove the EJB classes from your classpath. They should
    only be in your jar file.

  • JAXB: Error compiling classes generated by xjc (file name too long)

    Hi friends,
    I am trying to compile classes that are generated by using XJC tool on xsd file. The compilation fails with following message.
    buildxsdmodel:
        [javac] Compiling 794 source files to /home/uchamad/working/teleworker/ejb/build/classes
        [javac] /home/uchamad/working/teleworker/ejb/build/tmpsrc/uk/co/novatel/teleworker/model/wlr/bulksearch
    results/impl/ApplicationInformationTypeImpl.java:58372: error while writing
    uk.co.novatel.teleworker.model.wlr.bulksearchresults.impl.ApplicationInformationTypeImpl.XMLRequestID
    TypeImpl.SearchOrderResultsTypeImpl.SearchTypeDetailTypeImpl.OrderTypeImpl.OrderDetailsTypeImpl.
    OrderLinesTypeImpl.NumberPortingTypeImpl.OLODetailsTypeImpl.NumberLocationTypeImpl.OLOMainP
    STN1AddressTypeImpl.Unmarshaller: /home/uchamad/working/teleworker/ejb/build/classes/uk/co/novatel
    /teleworker/model/wlr/bulksearchresults/impl/ApplicationInformationTypeImpl$XMLRequestIDTypeImpl$S
    earchOrderResultsTypeImpl$SearchTypeDetailTypeImpl$OrderTypeImpl$OrderDetailsTypeImpl$OrderLin
    esTypeImpl$NumberPortingTypeImpl$OLODetailsTypeImpl$NumberLocationTypeImpl$OLOMainPSTN1A
    ddressTypeImpl$Unmarshaller.class (File name too long)
        [javac]                                             public class Unmarshaller
        [javac]                                                    ^
        [javac] 1 error
    The compiler is complaining about the file name being too long. This is happening because the java classes when generated from XSD contains deep nesting of inner classes. So when it comes to compile the .class name file is too long for the operating system.
    I am trying this on unix box.
    I wonder if there is a way to configure XJC so that it does not produce inner classes but instead keep them out.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    many thanks
    Usmangani

    Flattening your schema definition will flatten the output files, too -- that will probably be nice for coding as well since you wont have to use class names such as SomeTypeNestedInAnotherTypeThatHasYetAnotherType. Instead of having all of the elements defined directly within the enclosing root element, define logical chunks at the top level and incorporate them in the definition of real root element of your documents by reference.
