Everything was fine with my process, untill it got up to entering about 15000 records...then this error appeared for all the rest

ORA-01654 unable to extend index string.string by string in tablespace string
Cause: Failed to allocate an extent for index segment in tablespace.
Action: Use ALTER TABLESPACE ADD DATAFILE statement to add one or

Binding parameters to dynamic VO with PL/SQL API call with no where clause

Hi all,
I am required to change exisiting queries to queries with "bind" parameters. Some of our VOs are dynamic and with PL/SQL api calls like below:
String stmtStr = "selectXXX_API_UTILS.chk_urg_since_last_prg("
+ projectId + "," + PPCId + ",'XYZ_TASKS'," + taskId+ ")"
+" from dual ";
ViewObject tmpVO = transaction.createViewObjectFromQueryStmt(stmtStr);
In this regard, I am unsure how to bind the PPCId and taskId parameters to the VO. setWhereClauseParams() would not work here as there is now where clause.

In case of preparedStatement, we mention bind parameters to be passed using "?". Then we pass paramters sequencially.
But in the your case following is enough:

I'm trying to deploy an EJB application to OC4J standalone using a MS SQL Server 2000 database, MS SQL Server JDBC Drivers and OC4J 9.0.3 standalone but i keep getting this error:

Deployment succeeds after this but the application does not run properly. Can anyone help me with this? I have no idea what to do.

if you want to stop the auto-creation of tables, try going to the j2ee/home/config directory of your OC4J installation. Open the application.xml file and modify the attribute autocreate-tables to be set to false.
That should stop the default table creation as a global property, unless you specifically override it at the specific deployed application level.
You can then manually create the tables on the sql-server database instance. If you keep the column names the same as the field names in the bean, then you shouldn't need to do any manual mapping. To be sure of the column names to use, take a look in the orion-ejb-jar.xml which gets generated in the j2ee/home/application-deployments/<app-name>/<ejb-module-name> to see what table/column names the generator defaulted to

Creating webservice for pl/sql API without using BPEL

Hi All,
Using BPEL, We have created partner links using DB Adapter for accessing our pl/sql API's.
Is there any way to create a web service for a pl/sql API having complex datatype parameters like (Record, table of records etc) using DB Adapter or any other tool without using BPEL?

We introduced the use of JPublisher to automate the generation of wrappers for PL/SQL procedures that use types such as boolean, record and table. The wizard will invoke JPub and generate artifacts that the partnerlink will use to invoke the wrapper instead of the original API. Boolean is replaced by INT, record is replaced by an object type and table is replaced by a nested table. The wrapper will invoke the original API. JPub also takes care of converting between the different types (i.e. record <-> object).

ERROR creating table with dynamic SQL :-(

I have a problem when I try to create a table using dynamic SQL.
(Env.: Forms 6i, WinXP, Oracle 9i)
I only want to create a table, insert data and drop the table.
I have a user with the correct privileges (At least ....I think so), because I can to make the three actions in SQL*PLUS (CREATE TABLE, INSERT .. and DROP TABLE).
I want to do the same in Forms using dynamic SQL...
I've made a package with 3 procedures:
1st to create the table, 2nd to insert data , 3rd to drop the table.
Only the 1st fails with the error ORA-01031 (insufficient privileges).
Here it is:

The DROP_table procedure is exactly the same as this (with the difference of the 'CREATE' sentence, where I have a DROP sentence)... then.. why the DROP procedure works?... and.. why this CREATE procedure doesn't work?

Problem in Creating Sales Order PL/SQL API

Hey,
I've to create a Sales Order 'n BPEL by using Apps Adapter. In Module Browser, I've chosen the OE_ORDER_PUB.PROCESS_HEADER and given the correct details.
I passed the new ORDER_NUMBER and HEADER_ID as blank. I'm getting the response RETURN_STATUS as 'S' ( I mean which is success) and it is not throwing any error message.
But while checking in the OE_ORDER_HEADERS_ALL table, I am not finding any created Sales Order record.
Please help.

Error creating GTC to Microsoft SQL Server 2008

I have a table in a Microsoft SQL Server 2008 data base.
When I set the configuration of the connector I get and error.
com.thortech.xl.gc.exception.DBException: The schema sipec does not exist in the target database.
In the database performed the following query " select * from sipec.dbo.TABLE" and throws me results. But if I performed the following query “select * from sipec.TABLE” this brings me no results.
So if in the field “Parent Table/View Name” I put this “sipec.dbo.TABLE” in the log file I see this error
com.thortech.xl.gc.exception.DBException: The table name must be specified in the form of [Schema].[Table] or [Table]
I put the driver where the guide indicate

What is the solution?
I have the same thing with SQL Server 2008 64 bit. When i switch my datasource from SQL 2008 to SQL 2000 it works great otherwise it will not work. I have checked SQL Server 2008 that all the ports show 1433. I have been stuck on this for a while. I also checked the SQL Server Network Configuration / TCP/IP and i have nothing in the dynamic field and all the ports show 1433. If someone has allready figured this out it would be good to have a solution- Especially since coldfusion is supposed to connect to the database....

Filtering "created on" date using SQL Expressions

Hi there!
I want to build a filter for opportunities "created on" date.
I need to find all opportunities that were created over 30 days ago in lead stage.
I was trying:
Created on date is Not equal to or is not in:
1) NOW()
2) TimeStampAdd(SQL_TSI_DAY,-30,CURRENT_DATE NOW())
I keep getting an error message.
Any help is appreciated.

Peoplesoft EPM 9.1 - Error creating a Datastage project

Need to increase database (where HFM Schemas are created) processes and sessions. once after increase you should be able to open the application without any issues.
Looks like newly redesigned hfm v11.1.2.2 need more db sessions & processes.

Adding more to what 'Arcturus' has put across :
1) You can check your input & output arguments to a PL/SQL function/procedure using an assign activity, in which you tend to assign a source variable to a target variable.
Here, you can check to see, if the input & output to the DB Adapter are correct, if not, you can always recreate the adapter.
2) You can also check the schema of the PL/SQL function, to check if it has the right inputs & outputs.
It'd be a .xsd file in the format of <SCHEMA_NAME-OF-FUNCTION.xsd> viz. SCOTT_EMPDETAILS.xsd

What (the hell) is SQL Exception called Function sequence error?

...doing in a code like this:

somewhere in between that loop, or sometimes the loop runs out fine, and sometimes it throws SQLException called General Error. Not guite normal...

Anyway, this is my first database application. The number of problems I've had in few days is unbelivable. I wonder does it load the drivers from disk or something everytime it reads one record from database. I mean when I did the above query, the table had about 10 entries (the program showed 5 to 10 before function sequense error) and displaying each record to TextArea took over second. (In paradox (The dosversion) this would have taken less than a second).
And paradox tables doesn't work at all because it raises exception: Table isn't expected format. If I set paradox 4.0 drivers and put paradox 4.0 tables, you would guess that the format would be expected. And you cannot create paradox tables with SQL. Now I need to use access databases. How can database containing 60 records be 500kb:s? When it will contain 50000 new records every day, i guess I'll be in problem. Each tranaction (say 5 simple queries) taking minutes... heelp meee!!

Error while calling activityPrepare:needs to be invoked through an API call

I try to call activityPrepare using PAPI WS from SOAP UI. I get the following error :

I have no problem when I invoke activityExecute() but when I try activityPrepare() either from OSB, ADF or soapUI, I get this error.
I don't get what that means. Any idea why this error occurs?

The problem is that I did not make the activity 'External'. This can be done by :
Right click the activity -> Main Task -> select External Activity
Then you have to select two methods, one for prepare Activity, the other for commit activity.
For the prepare Activity, select the method you normally select for execute activity.
For the commit activity, create a new method and just write the following line in it :
action = action.OK;

Why such error information when I used sqlite3 SQL API?

When I programming with sqlite3 SQL API, some error information about lock occurred:
DB_LOCK->lock_put: Lock is no longer valid
Following error log also occurred sometimes:
“Locker still has locks”
I have called the function sqlite3_threadsafe to make sure the library is threadsafe.
Is there any way to avoid the above error logs?
The information of my test bed is as follows:
CentOS6
$ uname -a
Linux localhost.localdomain 2.6.32-71.el6.x86_64 #1 SMP Fri May 20 03:51:51 BST 2011 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Berkeley DB version: db-5.2.28
When I build BDB, I using the following options:
../dist/configure enable-sql_compat enable-test --with-tcl=/usr/lib64
Can you help me with that please?

This error was already reported in another Re: Berkeley DB lost data sometimes when I ran the example ex_sql_multi_thread. Please do not post the same issue multiple times and follow the issue in the original thread, which is currently handled by one of our engineers.

I am using Oracle applications 11i in my PC for trying purpose in Windows 2003 environment. I have HRMS in my APPS. While creating Employee in US HR manager >
I am getting the following error message.
App-Per-52803 Business Group Does Not Match Security Profile
For this i got resolution from Metalink, as per metalink:
HR:Business Group and
HR:Security Profile
Both are same profile options. I have checked in profiles both are set to Vision corporations. But i am getting same error still. Could any one please suggest me.
