Error creating table on MS SQL Server with OC4J standalone
Hi there,
I'm trying to deploy an EJB application to OC4J standalone using a MS SQL Server 2000 database, MS SQL Server JDBC Drivers and OC4J 9.0.3 standalone but i keep getting this error:
Auto-creating table: create table Functieprofiel_competentieNiveau_CompetentieNiveau_functieprofiel_LBOS_Ear_LBOS_Ejb (Functieprofiel_FUNCTIE_ID bigint identity not null, COMP_ID bigint identity null, NIVEAU_ID sql_variant(255) null)
Error creating table: [Microsoft][SQLServer 2000 Driver for JDBC][SQLServer]Could not create IDENTITY attribute on nullable column 'COMP_ID', table 'Functieprofiel_competentieNiveau_CompetentieNiveau_functieprofiel_LBOS_Ear_LBOS_Ejb'.
Deployment succeeds after this but the application does not run properly. Can anyone help me with this? I have no idea what to do.

if you want to stop the auto-creation of tables, try going to the j2ee/home/config directory of your OC4J installation. Open the application.xml file and modify the attribute autocreate-tables to be set to false.
That should stop the default table creation as a global property, unless you specifically override it at the specific deployed application level.
You can then manually create the tables on the sql-server database instance. If you keep the column names the same as the field names in the bean, then you shouldn't need to do any manual mapping. To be sure of the column names to use, take a look in the orion-ejb-jar.xml which gets generated in the j2ee/home/application-deployments/<app-name>/<ejb-module-name> to see what table/column names the generator defaulted to

Error creating GTC to Microsoft SQL Server 2008
I have a table in a Microsoft SQL Server 2008 data base.
When I set the configuration of the connector I get and error.
com.thortech.xl.gc.exception.DBException: The schema sipec does not exist in the target database.
In the database performed the following query " select * from sipec.dbo.TABLE" and throws me results. But if I performed the following query “select * from sipec.TABLE” this brings me no results.
So if in the field “Parent Table/View Name” I put this “sipec.dbo.TABLE” in the log file I see this error
com.thortech.xl.gc.exception.DBException: The table name must be specified in the form of [Schema].[Table] or [Table]
I put the driver where the guide indicateWhat is the solution?
I have the same thing with SQL Server 2008 64 bit. When i switch my datasource from SQL 2008 to SQL 2000 it works great otherwise it will not work. I have checked SQL Server 2008 that all the ports show 1433. I have been stuck on this for a while. I also checked the SQL Server Network Configuration / TCP/IP and i have nothing in the dynamic field and all the ports show 1433. If someone has allready figured this out it would be good to have a solution- Especially since coldfusion is supposed to connect to the database....
Thanks for any help. -

Error when creating a database on SQL Server 2012(Virtual Machine)
Hi,
I create a virtual machine on VMWare Workstation 10, then install Windows 7(32bit), then install SQL Server 2012 Enterprise version.
Then I write a Visual C++2008 program and using ADO to connect to the local SQL Server, with the connection string below:
“Provider=sqloledb;Data Source=(local);Integrated Security=SSPI;”
The connect succeed, then I try to create a new SQL Server database by calling:
m_pConnection->Execute(_T(“create database MyDatabase on primary (name = ‘MyDatabase’, filename = ‘E:\\MyDatabase.mdf’)”), NULL, 0);
where E: is a USB drive plugged in.
When running the above statement, I can even see the MyDatabase.mdf file is being created, but finally get an error and error number is 80040e31 when checking the error from m_pConnection, after analyzing the com exception, we find it reports the error as
“IDispath error #3121”. Both errors seem to indicate a “Timeout error”.
Then I try to create the database on the local drive in the virtual machine, as follows:
m_pConnection->Execute(_T(“create database MyDatabase on primary (name = ‘MyDatabase’, filename = ‘C:\\MyDatabase.mdf’)”), NULL, 0);
Then I get error number: 80040e14 from m_pConnection, and com error is “IDispath error #3092”
What is the problem?

How to create a database in SQL Server Express 2014 to be used with LV Database Toolkit
I use LV Database Toolkit, which by default uses Jet database. Now I want to use SQL database with LV Database Toolkit. I have downloaded and installed "SQL Server 2014 Express with Tools" in my Labview Laptop. Now I want to create a database in SQL Server, because I think it is a requirement for creating a "udl connection file" (*.udl file). Please help me!
Solved!
Go to Solution.I made a database whose path is: C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL12.SQLEXPRESS\MSSQL\DATA\depot1
I tried to make .udl connection file, but when I click on "test connection" with the provider: "OLEDB Provider for Microsoft SQL Server" I get the Error "UDL Connection File Failure" (attached below)
When I tried to make the .udl connection file with the provider "Microsoft SQL native Client 11.0" and when I click on "Test Connection" I get the Error" UDL Native Client_1"& " UDL Native Client_2".
Please help!
Thanks!

Copy table from Ms SQL Server 2005 to Oracle with SSIS package
Hi all
I am witting an SSIS package to copy 2 tables from Ms SQL Server 2005 to an Oracle 10g database.
Problem: I can only see the Microsoft OLDB Provider for Oracle and it is too slow. How can I use the Oracle ODBC in aMs SQL Server 2005 or building a .net SSIS package.
thanksYes I am able to see the driver on the Data Source (ODBC), I also created a connection to the Oracle database. The problem in Ms SQL Server 2005 is that the ODBC connection I created is not listed. None of the lo local connections are listed, only Microsoft OLEDB connections

I am trying to have access tables of the Sql Server through the Oracle
I am trying to have access tables of the Sql Server through the Oracle and this being occurred the error:
ORA-28500: connection from ORACLE to a non-Oracle system returned this message: [Generic Connectivity using ODBC][H006] The init parameter <HS_FDS_CONNECT_INFO> is not set.
Please set it in init <orasid>.ora file.
ORA-02063: preceding 2 lines from HSMSQL
I created the ODBC with name HSMSQL.
I made all the configurations in the archives
tnsnames.ora:
HSMSQL=

(CONNECT_DATA =
(SID = HSMSQL)
(HS = OK)
listener.ora:

initHS_SID.ora:
HS_FDS_CONNECT_INFO = HSMSQL
HS_FDS_TRACE_LEVEL = OFF
-- Create database link
create database link HSMSQL.US.ORACLE.COM
connect to TESTE identified by TESTE2
using 'HSMSQL';
But when I execute query the error occurs:
Select * from TabTeste@HSMSQL
ORA-28500: connection from ORACLE to a non-Oracle system returned this message: [Generic Connectivity using ODBC][H006] The init parameter <HS_FDS_CONNECT_INFO> is not set.
Please set it in init <orasid>.ora file.
ORA-02063: preceding 2 lines from HSMSQL
Please they help me, thanks, Paulo.Hi,
It seems that your configuration is Ok. By the way, the workaround for this error is:
ORA-28500: connection from ORACLE to a non-Oracle system returned this message:
[Transparent gateway for ODBC][H001] The environment variable <HS_FDS_CONNECT_INFO> is not set.
* Set HS_FDS_CONNECT_INFO in the hs{sid}init.ora file to the data source name.
Example: HS_FDS_CONNECT_INFO = <ODBC DataSource Name>
* Make sure the hs{sid}init.ora file exists in the ORACLE_HOME/hs/admin directory and has the same name as the SID in the LISTENER.ORA.
Example: If SID=hsodbc in the listener.ora file, then the hs{sid}init.ora file would be named ORACLE_HOME/hs/admin/inithsodbc.ora

Hi,
I have one client and one server. In both hosts I created an OS-user named User1.
The user have been given various role under the prefix SQLServer2005.
The default instance of SQL Server and instance (background-process) of
Analysis Service are also run under User1.
I connected via Management Studio to Analysis Service directly in the
server. I set the permission to access Analysis Service to Everyone.
This means everyone should be able to use Analysis Service. I have set
ODBC data source to the server. Testing was successful.
I created a project to create a cube. The tables are fairly small (total 300 MB, biggest one 290).
On project setting (created at client) I set the server host as
deployment target. I managed to deploy project when all I have are Data
Source and Data Source Views.
But on deployment I always failed. The errors remain the same, begins with
OLE DB error: OLE DB or ODBC error: [DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (Connect()).]SQL Server does not exist or access denied.; 08001.
I have tried 4 combinations of Impersonation :
(A) Use a specific username and password
* in which I supply User1 and the password of User1
(B) Use the service account
(C) Use the credentials of the current user
(D) Default
Why is this? The server does certainly exist. I think the error message is wrong.
I have seen 3 posting that seems related. One of them say the solution is giving the right impersonation, but gave no detail. About the privilege, User1 are granted the role of
SQLServer2005MSOLAP. What is the solution?
Thank you,
BernaridhoI just had this problem and solved it by creating an alias in SQL Server Configuration Manager, as below:
Scenario: My SQL server is accessible from the internet under my.domain.com, and from itself at ServerName. But the local network can't see itself through the router at my.domain.com, so the deployed project is unable to process the cube, since that would
require Analysis Services to be able to see the SQL Server at my.domain.com, which it can't do.
So I changed the server in my project from my.domain.com to ServerName, and I created a local alias to ServerName in SQL Server Configuration Manager, under SQL Native Client 11.0 Configuration, Aliases. In my case, I pointed it to localhost port 1333, and
used SSH -L 1333:my.domain.com:1433, but I could have pointed the alias directly to the server, just as well. (Verifying... yes, that worked too, so you can forget SSH if you have no interest in it.) -

S S ManneHi Manne,
As your description, you come across an error when trying to install SQL Server 2008 express Service Pack 1 on windows XP Service Pack 3 machine. From your error log, I get the error(unable to read registry value). As my analysis, the issue could be due
to that your account doesn't have access to registry. Below are the recommendations for troubleshooting the issue.
1. Make sure that you log in as an administrator of the machine.
2. Please follow the steps below to make sure that you have granted the right permission to registry.
a. Located HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server in registry.
b. Right click and go to Permission, then you could see user accounts or groups. If your user account is not in the list, you could click Add to add your account there.
c. Select your account and Click on Advance.
d. Check on both check box ('Include inheritable permissions from this object's parent'.
and 'Replace all child object permissions with inheritable permissions from this object'), click OK.
e. Click OK again.

i make all the configuration for the gateway .
and execute the dg4msql_cvw.sql to create corresponding views in sql server ...
THe dblink allows me to run SQL query from sql plus to the tables in SQL server (the host that i want to import data from is i sql server 2000).
When I test the connnection from owb to SQL Server it returns "successful"
but when i go to import the meta data of tables in SQL Server i get this error.

How to Create PR from exeternal SQL Server through IDOC
Dear all,
I am in trouble while creating PR from exeternal SQL Server through IDOC . although I have created PR from TCODE we19 giving input as well as from function writen below
My scnerio is from external system(Sql) want to send data to sap to create PR return PR No to SQl Server
Not having idea how to do
Basic Type for Idoc : PREQCR01
Message Type : PREQCR
Function Module : BAP_Idoc_Input1
Thanxs in Advanceif you have XI installed,
than it would be easy,
just use JDBC channel->XI->SAP IDOC.
otherwise,
you can export the table from the SQL to CSV file,
and import it with LSMW with IDOC PREQCR01. -
Error access CF8 to Microsoft SQL Server 2008
Hello!
I have created a database in SQL Server 2008.
Further, in CF Administrator Add New Data Source - also there is an error.
Connection verification failed for data source: dbo.Articles
java.sql.SQLException: [Macromedia][SQLServer JDBC Driver]Error establishing socket to host and port: localhost:1433. Reason: Connection refused: connect
The root cause was that: java.sql.SQLException: [Macromedia][SQLServer JDBC Driver]Error establishing socket to host and port: localhost:1433. Reason: Connection refused: connect
Prompt how to solve this problem? What is the solution?
I have the same thing with SQL Server 2008 64 bit. When i switch my datasource from SQL 2008 to SQL 2000 it works great otherwise it will not work. I have checked SQL Server 2008 that all the ports show 1433. I have been stuck on this for a while. I also checked the SQL Server Network Configuration / TCP/IP and i have nothing in the dynamic field and all the ports show 1433. If someone has allready figured this out it would be good to have a solution- Especially since coldfusion is supposed to connect to the database....
Thanks for any help. -
Create table in PL/SQL proc not working
Hello,
Here is a procedure I have tried to create & run in SQL Developer:
create or replace procedure transpose as
begin
create table lines as (select level line from dual connect by level <= 5),
create table cols as (select level col from dual connect by level <= 5),
select max(decode(col, 1,
decode(line, 1, line_id,
2, description,
3, statetax,
4, freight,
5, weightedAvg))) col1,
max(decode(col, 2,
decode(line, 1, line_id,
2, description,
3, statetax,
4, freight,
5, weightedAvg))) col2,
max(decode(col, 3,
decode(line, 1, line_id,
2, description,
3, statetax,
4, freight,
5, weightedAvg))) col3,
max(decode(col, 4,
decode(line, 1, line_id,
2, description,
3, statetax,
4, freight,
5, weightedAvg))) col4,
max(decode(col, 5,
decode(line, 1, line_id,
2, description,
3, statetax,
4, freight,
5, weightedAvg))) col5
from lines, cols,
(select rownum rn, tfe_line_info.* from tfe_line_info)
where rn = col
group by line
order by line;
end transpose;
I however get the error:
Error(3,7): PLS-00103: Encountered the symbol "CREATE" when expecting one of the following: begin case declare exit for goto if loop mod null pragma raise return select update while with <an identifier> <a double-quoted delimited-identifier> <a bind variable> << close current delete fetch lock insert open rollback savepoint set sql execute commit forall merge pipe
I cannot understand what is wrong with my Create statement at line 3?It looks like you have no PL/SQL experience. I suggest reading PL/SQL manual. Yes, single row select requires INTO clause. Multi-rows select requires cursor. But this is least of your problems. Your SPp will not complile even if you fix select. Why? SP creates tables dynamically at run time, so tables do not exist at SP compile time. Therefore select from these yet non-existent tables will not compile. By creating tables via dynamic SQL you forced yourself into querying them via dynamic SQL. Now you are trying to transpose (pivot) table. What Oracle version do you have? Oracle 11g provides PIVOT/UNPIVOT operators. Check them out before writing code.
