Error deleting row in table?

I get the following error when I try to delete one row of
information in a
table
"key column information is insufficient or incorrect. Too
many rows were
affected by update"
Anyone know why I would be getting this error?
Also, how do I get rid of a row of information?

Are you using a query of some sort to try and delete that
row? If so, what does it look like?

i HAVE this bizarre problem.
I hava a Java class which displays data read into a table with a delete
option by the side of each row.
Now lets assume you have 3 rows in the Table.
abc deleteButton
efg deleteButton
xyz deleteButton
When I click the first delete,that row gets deleted from the table.(perfect...)
Now I have 2 rows.
When I click on the first row,I get the error
'You clicked -1'
java.lang.ArrayIndexOutofBoundsException: -1 < 0.
Can anyone tell me why this is happening even though there are rows in the table.???

Oracle deleting rows from tables starting with the name PQ

hai friends
we are given access rights to delete only tables starting with PQ. HAVING PQ_NUM as primary key for all the PQ tables.
totally we have 6 tables. PQ_01,PQ_02, PQ_03,PQ_04,PQ_05,PQ_06.
ALL This tables will have one primary key. for example pq_01 willl have pq01_num as primarykey and pq_02 table will have pq02_num as primary
key.
pq01_num value will exist in all the primary key of pq tables.
i want query to delete rows from the pq tables based on the input value i give.
for example if i give primarykey value 122 then that value in pq tables should be deleted.
One more problem is there. pq_06 table does not have pq02_num column. here the column differs. it is pq06_num_req.
so give your idea of deleting the rows from pq tables

Deleting rows from table based on value from other table

Hello Members,
I am struck to solve the issue said below using query. Would appreciate any suggestions...
I have two tables having same structures. I want to delete the rows from TableA ( master table ) with the values from TableB ( subset of TableA). The idea is to remove the duplicate values from tableA. The data to be removed are present in TableB. Catch here is TableB holds one row less than TableA, for example

We need TableB. The problem I mentioned above is part of process. TableB contains the duplicate values which should be deleted from TableA. So that we know what all values we have deleted from TableA. On deleted TableA if I later insert the value from TableB I should be getting the original TableA...

Error deleting rows

I'm just trying to get familiar with Workspace Manager and I'd like to have some help to solve a problem.
I have a database user called SIGAU that owns a table called G_ADE.
This table is version enabled. I also created a workspaced call EditorWks.
I logged in SQL*Plus, call the procedure gotoWorkspace and then tried to delete some rows from G_ADE table.
SQL> delete from g_ade where cd_ade > 477;
delete from g_ade where cd_ade > 477

This is an internal oracle error, not specific to Workspace manager. I would recommend filing an SR to determine why it is occurring.

Problem with creating and deleting row in table

I'm using JDev11.1.1.2.0. I have a table "A" with primary key X -> CHAR(1). I have created Entity and ViewObject (with the primary key X).
I created an editable Table with CreateInsert and Delete actions.
When I click Insert, a new record is added and I enter some data. Then I move selection to some other row, and return back to the new row. When I press Delete, It does not delete the new row, but the previous one selected.
In the console, when I navigate back two the new added record: <FacesCtrlHierBinding$FacesModel><makeCurrent> ADFv: No row found for rowKey: [oracle.jbo.Key[null ]].
I tried the same scenario with a different table, that has RowID as a primary key and it works correctly.
Any Idea why this is happening ? I suppose it's connected somehow with the primary key.

I changed my entity: unchecked the X column to be primary key added RowID as a primary key. Now it works.
What's wrong with my CHAR(1) as a primary key ?
I also tried to add a Refresh button:
<af:commandButton text="Refresh" id="cb3"/>and in the table add a partialTarget to the button. Now when I add new row and press the Refresh button - then it works.
So it seems that the problem is when I add new row and enter data, the table is not refreshed and the row is missing it's primary key.
Any solutions?

Probably I am just stupid, but is there a way to delete a row from a table in Pages for the iPad?

First, select the row by tapping on the bar on the left side of the row. Once it's highlighted, tap in the same place again and choose "delete" from the list that pops up.

Deleting from a table based on values in a second table

Is it possible to DELETE from (or for that matter do an UPDATE to) a table based on values in another table? I have gone through the online documentation but can't seem to find anything. I'm trying to delete rows from table A where A.field1 = B.field1 and B.field2 = 'X'. (B being the second table)

It is done using subqueries in the where clause.

Database, Dataset, Table Adaptors Error "Unable to load, Update requires a valid DeleteCommand when passed DataRow collection with deleted row"

Microsoft Visual Basic 2010 Express.
I am new to Visual Basic programing and i am trying to understand the relationships between Datasets, database, table Adaptors. I have to following code that is is giving me the following error" Unable to load, Update requires a valid DeleteCommand
when passed DataRow collection with deleted rows".
I can track the error and its located in "OffsetTableTableAdapter.Update(MaterionOffsetDataSet.OffsetTable)" code. What am i missing?
It seems that i can delete the data on the DataGridView Table and it only displays the correct data. but my database is not updating, even though the data grid displays differently.I can determine this because, when i save the offset database, i have all
the previous uploads and all the rows that i wanted to delete are still there.
My final goal is to be able to import offset data from a CSV file, save this data on the pc, send a copy of this data to a NuermicUpDown so the customer can modify certain numbers. From here they download all the date to a controller. IF the customer
needs to modify the imported data, they can go to a tab with a data grid view and modify the table. They will also have to option to save the modified data into a csv file.
Im not sure if i am making this overcomplicated or if there is a easier way to program this.

This error usually shows that you do not initialize the
DeleteCommand object, you could check this
article to see if you get a workaround.

If you are working CSV file, you could use OleDB to read it which would treat the CSV file as a Table:

Add and Delete a row in table

Hi Expert,
In SAP interactive form OFFLINE Scneario.
I have a deep structure. In which i am using other structures like kna1, knb1, knvv.
Now in KNVV is again a deep structure in which i have a table type.
Now a draged and droped this table type to my layout so i got a table.
I Need to have two buttons ADD and Delete, To add and delete a row in table repectvily.
I saw other threads also but get not do it.
My table type attribute's name in KNVV structure is VLACT.
I write following code on click action of ADD button
data.#subform[0].Button1::click: - (FormCalc, client) -
VLACT.row.instanceManager.addInstance(1);
xfa.form.recalculate(1);
but it shows error msg
accessor "VLACT.row.instanceManager.addInstance(1);"
is unknown.
Also i am not able to see tabel itself wich i draged and droped. Only two buttons are there.

This is the code i am using to add new row.
Also all the settings in form are correct like "Repeat row for each data item" etc.
I want to have at most 7 rows.
var nTableLength = Table1.nodes.length;
var nNumRow = 0;
    for (var nCount = 0; nCount < nTableLength; nCount ++)
      if ((Table1.nodes.item(nCount).className == "subform") & (Table1.nodes.item(nCount).name !== "HeaderRow"))
       { nNumRow = nNumRow + 1; }
           if (nNumRow == 7)
           { xfa.host.messageBox("The maximum allowable number of rows is 7. You cannot add any more rows.", "Warning", 3); }
       else {
              Table1.Row1.instanceManager.addInstance(1);
              xfa.form.recalculate(1);
               xfa.host.messageBox("row added" );
I get the msg form the statment        xfa.host.messageBox("row added" );
But i can not see the newly added row
