Error Deploying CMP EJB!!

I have developed an EJB Container-managed persistence. When I tried to deploy it I got this error:
SQL error: Io exception: The Network Adapter could not establish the connection
Warning: Error creating table: Io exception: The Network Adapter could not establish the connection
I have tested the connections to the database and to the application server and both of them are ok.
Could anyone tell me what can be wrong??
Help me Please
Ana

Make sure you have added the datasource information in orion-ejb-jar.xml.
The datasource which you specify in orion-ejb-jar.xml has to be configured in OC4J instance which you are deploying to
or
You can define a database connection in JDeveloper .
Let us say "Scott" and add a datasource with name "jdbc/ScottDS" in orion-ejb-jar.xml
JDeveloper will automatically create a data-sources.xml in the EAR file.
To add data source information in orion-ejb-jar.xml
Select orion-ejb-jar.xml
Right mouse and choose settings
Select Entity Bean
Add datasource on the right hand pane;

    Hi,
    I have written a trivial application consisting of 4 stateless beans and 1 MDB. The ear is developed from some code generator tool and works fine if I directly deploy on weblogic server 812.
    But in order to learn Weblogic Workshop I created new Application and EJB project. Then I imported the EJB jar and provided other source files.
    From Weblogic Workshop I could generate the ear successfully. But while trying to deploy the ear I get the following exception :

  • Error Deploying CMP Entity Bean

    Hi,
    I am new to Entity Beans and am trying to deploy a CMP Entity Bean without any success.
    I did search this forum for similar issues and tried those suggestions as well but that has not helped. Was wondering if someone could help me out on this.
    The Entity bean has 2 fields: name and description.
    The ejb-jar.xml file for this bean is:
    <enterprise-beans>
    <entity>
    <ejb-name>Product</ejb-name>
    <home>example.cmp.ProductHome</home>
    <remote>example.cmp.Product</remote>
    <ejb-class>example.cmp.ProductBean</ejb-class>
    <persistence-type>Container</persistence-type>
    <prim-key-class>java.lang.String</prim-key-class>
    <reentrant>false</reentrant>
    <cmp-version>2.x</cmp-version>
    <abstract-schema-name>PRODUCTS</abstract-schema-name>
    <cmp-field>
    <field-name>name</field-name>
    </cmp-field>
    <cmp-field>
    <field-name>description</field-name>
    </cmp-field>
    <primkey-field>name</primkey-field>
    <query>
    </query>
    </entity>
    </enterprise-beans>
    The error that I get while deploying the bean is:

    Please note that the data-source has been re-architectured in 10.1.3 DP3 and you should have DataSource as follows:

  • Compilation errors with CMP EJBs in OC4J

    I have created several new EJB's in JDeveloper using the
    EJB creation wizard. For most of them I chose the CMP Entity Beans from Tables wizard. Now I have already created some EJB's this way and have used them successfully. But for some reason when I try to start my OC4J, I get the following error messages for all my new EJB's:
    Error creating table: java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00955: name is already used by an existing object
    Why is this?

    The out-of-the-box behaviour of OC4J is to try to create tables for CMP beans when they are deployed. It sounds like a redeployment may be occuring bwhen you restart OC4J which is causing it to try and create the tables.
    I think that even though you see these error messages, the container will start and your beans will function.
    You can do one of two things to alter this situation if you want
    a) manually drop the tables from the db before you do the next deployment
    b) set the default behaviour of OC4J to drop tables when an application is undeployed (which happens before a redeployment is done) -- this can be done by setting an additional attribute on the j2ee/home/config/application.xml file -- "autodelete-tables=true"

  • Error deploying simple EJB

    I'm new to EJB and I was trying to deploy a sample out of Oreilly's EJB 4th Ed. I created the necessary files with NetBeans, build went fine, but deployment results in the error "If the table CABIN for the bean corresponding to the generated class com.titan.cabin.CabinBean1365762729_JDOState is mapped as the primary table, it must have a primary key. Choose a different primary table or verify that the contents of the schema file are correct. "
    I tried to see if creating an empty NetBeans project would be any better. My bean is mapped to the following MySQL table:
    ------------------------------------------------------+
    | Field | Type | Null | Key | Default | Extra |
    ------------------------------------------------------+
    | ID | decimal(19,0) | | PRI | 0 | |
    | SHIP_ID | int(11) | YES | | NULL | |
    | BED_COUNT | int(11) | YES | | NULL | |
    | NAME | char(30) | YES | | NULL | |
    | DECK_LEVEL | int(11) | YES | | NULL | |
    ------------------------------------------------------+
    The primary key IS set in the descriptor. Should it also be mapped as the other fields? I tried mapped and non-mapped. Calling it a night for now.
    Thanks,
    Alec

    Presumably you're using the EJB3 tech preview, and not a vanilla WebLogic 9.2 install, right?
    Can you post the full stack trace?

    Hi Sharma,
    I too noticed the error in the logs. I checked already weblogic-ejb-jar.xml.
    All the values are created dynamically as opposed to static values.
    Please see the weblogic-ejb-jar.xml file.

    Am not sure where to give annotation or specify a different JNDI name. Also I have 2 other engines which have applications deployed in them. I dont want to create unnecessary issues with them by changing in this xml(since I dont have any idea to modify this xml to specify JNDI).
    Thanks,

  • Changing user & table name when deploying CMP from jdev902

    Hi
    How can I choose different user and table name when deploying CMP EJB other then Oracle/CMP name from Jdev902 to OC4J 902. I have tried edinting orion-ejb-jar.xml's entity-deployment tag with limited succes ie: it works fine when I deploy to the inbedded OC4J but when I try deploying to standalone OC4J I get table created in Oracle user and a table with the same name as the CMP.
    I have also tried deploying the connections.xml along with the java classes, that didn't work either.
    All help is appreciated - Thanks

    You can do a Restore for the iPod with your computer again, but bear in mind that it will erase all data on the iPod and replace with the library of music files on your iTunes.
    How to do a Restore? that is simple, download iTunes 7.01 and install it your computer, open it and plug your iPod with it, then click Restore.

  • Error in Deploying CMP Bean!!!

    i'm writing a CMP Bean. i wrote the Bean , home and remote interfaces. i'm using weblogic 7.0 as my application server.
    1. what is the default data base for the weblogic 7.0.
    2. should v create any table while deploying the CMP bean in a database. i think there is no need because the container will take care of it.
    3. what is the need of <Data-source-name> in the deployment descriptor file weblogic-cmp-ejb-jar.xml. this is a mandatory field. can i give a random name here? if not, how 2 create a data source name.
    please refer my deployment descriptor file.s

  • Problem deploying entity ejb CMP

    hello
    when i deploy CMP entity bean in weblogic 5.1
    i get an error "could not make connection to pool"
    i am using oracle thin driver. connection pool
    is created when i start the server but bean could not deploy
    please help
    thanx

    First, set the server to display all logging messages (not just errors), then when you deploy the ejb see what messages happen. I had similar problems when we were deploying on Weblogic 7.0 (with thin Oracle driver).
    Also, be sure you have downloaded the latest Oracle driver classes12.zip file and put it into the weblogic server directory - that can cause problems too.

  • Error in deploying CMP Entity Beans

    Hello,
    When I created a CMP Entity Bean using the JDeveloper Release Candidate and try to deploy it I get the following message:
    Auto-creating table: create table POGROUP_PRESS_RELEASE (press_release_id integer not null primary key, press_release_date varchar (255) null, title varchar (255) null, time varchar (255) null, release_type varchar (255) null, URL VARCHAR2(100))
    Warning: Error creating table: ORA-00955: name is already used by an existing object
    What does this mean? Does it mean that this bean cannot be deployed. If the table already exists in the database shouldn't it use the table instead of trying to create the table?
    Any help would be appreciated,
    Gopi

    initialize "table" attribute of <entity-deployment> element to POGROUP_PRESS_RELEASE.This will prevent auto-create functionality of OC4J.
    However this <entity-deployment> tag present only in orion-ejb-jar.xml.So you have to create this file and include along with ejb-jar.xml in jar file.
    Sample orion-ejb-jar.xml looks like this....
    <orion-ejb-jar deployment-version="1.0.2.2" deployment-time="ea013a2eda">
    <enterprise-beans>
    <entity-deployment name="TestHome" location="TestHome" wrapper="TestHome_EntityHomeWrapper5" table="POGROUP_PRESS_RELEASE" data-source="jdbc/OracleDS">
    <primkey-mapping>
    <cmp-field-mapping name="m_ID" persistence-name="ID" />
    </primkey-mapping>
    <resource-ref-mapping name="jdbc/OracleCoreDS" />
    </entity-deployment>
    </enterprise-beans>
    </entity-deployment>
    </orion-ejb-jar>
    For complete DTD :
    http://xmlns.oracle.com/ias/dtds/orion-ejb-jar.dtd
    Hope this helps.....
