Error deploying EAR that is a Webservice

In the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio, when I select the option "Deploy to J2EE engine" on my EAR file, I get the following error:
                     java.rmi.RemoteException: Cannot deploy application sap.com/LDAPManagerEAR..
                     Reason: Incorrect application sap.com/LDAPManagerEAR:

                     Error in the remote interface com.upc.ldap.ejb.EB_bind of bean EB_bindBean: No corresponding business method in the bean class com.upc.ldap.ejb.EB_bindBean was found for method bindLDAP.
                     Error in the local interface com.upc.ldap.ejb.EB_bindLocal of bean EB_bindBean: No corresponding business method in the bean class was found for method bindLDAP.; nested exception is:
                          com.sap.engine.services.deploy.container.DeploymentException: <--Localization failed: ResourceBundle='com.sap.engine.services.deploy.DeployResourceBundle', ID='com.sap.engine.services.ejb.exceptions.deployment.EJBDeploymentException: Incorrect application sap.com/LDAPManagerEAR:
Anybody can help me ? Thanks

I?ve seen the code.
You need to synchronize the interfaces and the business method. For instance, on the interface you have declared:
public String bindLDAP(String username, String password)throws RemoteException;
And then you attempt to implement:
public String bindLDAP(String username, String password) throws NamingException
Therefore the error:
Error in the remote interface com.upc.ldap.ejb.EB_bind of bean EB_bindBean: No corresponding business method in the bean class com.upc.ldap.ejb.EB_bindBean was found for method bindLDAP.
Also, you must be consisten with local-remote-home interfaces. You've declared the EB_bindLocalHome as LocalHome, but don't use it as return parameter on the EB_bindHome interface. Try the following:
package com.upc.ldap.ejb;
import javax.ejb.EJBHome;
import java.rmi.RemoteException;
import javax.ejb.CreateException;
public interface EB_bindHome extends EJBHome {
      * Create Method.
     public  EB_bindLocalHome create() throws CreateException;
You might want to use an EJB generator as on SAP Developer Studio to automate all these tasks and avoid revisiting the code.
I hope it helps

  • Error deploying ear in WLS6.1

    I've developed and export my *.ear file from IBM Websphere Application Developer
    4. I'm pretty sure I didn't use any WebSphere specific calls.
    However, when I tried to deploy the ear into WLS6.1, I get the following error
    (see attached).
    I think it's because I didn't have the weblogic-ejb-jar.xml file. I've consulted
    the manual and been advised that I need to generate the descriptor manually by
    using the following command: -
    java weblogic.ant.taskdefs.war.DDInit C:\MyApp
    But i got the following error: -
    Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: weblogic/ant/taskdefs/war/DDInit
    Any help is appreciated.
    BTW:All my apps runs under Win2K

    hi michael,
    I had the same problem once. There are 2 possibilities:
    1. You didn't use setEnv.cmd to set the classpath.
    2. Your weblogics.jar file in /lib doesnt contain the necessary classes.
    I found out that 6.01 sp1 didnt have the ant tool in the weblogic.jar file
    so I upgraded to 6.1 sp3.

  • Error when deploying ear with war module.

    Can somebody help me with a problem? This problem is realy strange.
    I have three projects: ordinary project (jar project), war project and ear project.
    The war project uses classes form jar project and it is a part of ear project.
    There is an abstract class in jar:
    public abstract class MyDataTable {
    public abstract String method1();
    public abstract String method2();
    //And some others abstract methods
    Class MyResultSetTable extends MyDataTable class:
    public class MyResultSetTable extends MyDataTable {
    private ResultSet rs;
    public MyResultSetTable(ResultSet resSet) {
    rs = resSet;
    //Implementation of abstract methods
    In jar there is another class MyDataPacket, which performs transformation between MyDataTable and XML document (Delphi data packet):
    public class MyDataPacket {
    public static String tableToXML(MyDataTable table) {/Implementation}
    public static MyDataTable xmlToTable(String xmlSource) {/Implementation}
    In war there is a simple Web service which interact with clients by means of the data packets:
    @WebService
    public class MyWebService {
    @WebMethod
    public String myMethod(){
    //Creating connection and opening ResultSet rs
    MyDataTable t = new MyResultSetTable(rs);
    return MyDataPacket.tableToXML(t);
    This war application belongs to Enterprise Application (ear project). I use Sun Java System
    Application Server Platform Edition 9.0_01 (build b02-p01). When I deploy ear into server an
    error occurs:
    Exception occured in J2EEC Phase
    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: jarSource/MyDataTable
    at java.lang.Class.getDeclaredMethods0(Native Method)
    at java.lang.Class.privateGetDeclaredMethods(Class.java:2395)
    at java.lang.Class.privateGetPublicMethods(Class.java:2519)
    at java.lang.Class.getMethods(Class.java:1406)
    When I change abstract class MyDataTable on MyResultSetTable in static method
    tableToXML, the error disappears. I think that the problem is that I use abstract
    class in this method. Please, can somebody explanes me this situation.
    PS: Sorry for my bad English. I jast start to study this language.
    PSS: You can copy-past these classes for simple testing this misunderstanding:
    jar:
    public abstract class MyDataTable {
    public abstract String method1() throws Exception;
    public abstract String method2() throws Exception;
    public class MyResultSetTable extends MyDataTable{
    public String method1() throws Exception {return "method1";}
    public String method2() throws Exception {return "method2";}
    public class MyDataPacket {
    public static String tableToXML(MyDataTable t) {return "tableToXML";}
    war:
    import jarSource.MyDataPacket;
    import jarSource.MyDataTable;
    import jarSource.MyResultSetTable;
    import javax.jws.WebMethod;
    import javax.jws.WebService;
    @WebService()
    public class MyView {
    @WebMethod
    public String myMethod1(){
    MyDataTable t = new MyResultSetTable();
    return MyDataPacket.tableToXML(t);
    ear: Adding war to ear.

    I beleive this is a classpath problem, namely the classespath does not exist for the .jar file when the .war is trying to access the files. I would think if the .jar file is in WEB-INF/classes in your .war your error would go away. If you are placing the .jar in the root of the .ear then you must set the classpath.

  • Error deploying J2EE Application (EAR) to standalone OC4J

    Hi
    I'm invoking the admin_client.jar utility to deploy a webservice on a standalone OC4J, here is the command:
    java -jar %OC4J_HOME%\j2EE\home\admin_client.jar deployer:oc4j:localhost:23791 oc4jadmin test -deploy -file C:\10GIDS\BIN\johnTestWS.ear -deploymentname johnsws -bindAllWebApps default-web-site -contextRoot johnsws
    I get the following error:

    The java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/sun/tools/javac/MainException in thread "main" error string (from my limited understanding) would mean there is a jar file missing from the CLASSPATH or something, yet, because the '-jar' option is selected when running the java command I don't have the option to include any classpath in the command string. What am I doing wrong?
    I've been trying to assemble and deploy this web service for ages now and I think I'm very close to the end, can someone please show me that I'm doing something very simple wrong....?

    smydo,
    I see you answered yourself in the other forum where you posted the same question:

    Hi Ivaylo,
    to answer your first question, the EAR that I am trying
    to deploy gets created as part of the publish step. When
    I look in the application.xml file of this EAR I see a
    version attribute with value of 1.4 in the application
    tag, can we assume that this implies J2EE 1.4 compliancy?
    One thing about this generated EAR is that it does not
    include any java code (VM or otherwise). When I generate
    the EAR by hand (by exporting the EJB project as an EAR
    file there is a JAR for the actual java code put in
    there, but when generating the EAR via publish there is
    only some xml and manifest stuff put in the EAR, with the
    result that it's only 2KB or so in size. I have specified
    a J2EE module dependency from the Enterprise Application
    project to the EJB project, but is there something else I
    need to do to ensure that the java code (jar) gets
    included in the EAR of the Enterprise Application when
    attempting to deploy via publish?
    Thanks for the other suggest, "Import J2EE Archive".
    However, I am having difficulty locating this button.
    When I look at the "Deploy View" window I see on the left
    the Workspace and External Deployable Archives trees,
    and on the right there are "Setting for Updating
    SCAs/SDAs" radio buttons, as well as "Error Strategy"
    radio buttons, but no "Import J2EE Archive" button.
    Thanks for the info about SDM by the way, I was wondering
    why I was not able to launch it (there is still a remote
    gui shortcut, which should probably go away).

  • Error in deploying, EAR file does not contain SAP_MANIFEST.MF

    I just upgraded to SAP Netweaver Developer Studio 7.1 from 7.0, and the process of creating and deploying an EJB archive seems to be quite different. Here are the steps I am following:
    (1) I create and build an EJB Project called foo.
    (2) Export the EJB Project foo as an EJB JAR (not sure if this is necessary)
    (3) Create an Enterprise Applications project called fooEAR, with target runtime set to SAP server. When I am prompted for J2EE Modules to add, I select foo (created in step (1)).
    (4) Export the EAR project fooEAR as an EAR file. When I am prompted for which EAR application I choose fooEAR.
    (5) Try to deploy the EAR created in (4) using Deploy View -> External Deployable Archives -> Add, then choose the fooEAR.ear as the target. But I get an error message:
    Wrong SDA/SCA archive
    Error while loading archive ...
    Archive has no entry META-INF/SAP_MANIFEST.MF
    I looked inside fooEAR.ear, and there is no SAP_MANIFEST.MF file. How can I create an EAR that has such a file ?

  • Error while deploying EAR from commandline

    Hi,
    I am getting the following error when i am trying to deploy EAR using commandline in Oracle 10gAS 10.1.2

    I have tried without ormi port as well. The userid and password for ias_admin i am using are all correct as i am able to login to enterprise manager successfully.
    I am able to deploy the same EAR using EM but I want to create client stub and i don't know what property to set in EM which create client stub along with deployment.
