Error deploying RAR on AS8 (runs fine on JBoss4)

The verifier tells me that according to J2EE Connector Architecture Specification Section #17.5.1.2 the ReaourceAdapter class must implement the Serializable interface. But (at least) in 17.5.1.2 I can't find that statement. Instead there is required that the ConnectionFactory implementation be serializable and referenceable and the ManagedConnectionFactory be serializable.
I can't remember any point in specification, where implementing the Serializable interface is an requirement for the ReasourceAdapter class.
Another objection of the verifier is, that there are no accessor methods for a specific config property. But I double checked the source and I can find getter and setter of the complained property.
Anyone an idea what goes wrong here ?

Yes, the verifier assertion CheckResourceAdapterClassSerializable is not correct. A resource adapter class is not required to implement Serializable interface. This test will be fixed in future releases.
Can you give more details about the other issue you have reported. What error message did verifier gave?

  • Error while Deploying Bean (which is running fine on sun's server)

    Hi,
I'm trying to deploy the same bean which is deployed & executing very well on
    J2EE server(Sun's server j2sdkee1.2.1).
I'm using one external jar package, mgejbgnrc.jar , which contains (Magic.j2ee.MagicException
    class & some other classes).
I've put this jar in %JAVA_HOME%/jre/lib/ext/
And i'm getting following error while deploying the jar.
Where i'm doing mistakes? I've also set the classpath correctly.
Is it weblogic's problem , that we can't use external package. Because same bean
    is working on Sun's Server.
Will anybody help me regarding this?

Thank you for your help info, I soloved the problem.
The problem is the ejb jar was deleted(I don't why)
then System Admin to deploy EJB jar from Admin console.
    After that everything is fine.

    Hi Albert,
I would double check to make sure the EJB was indeed deployed (check
server log). What message did you see that leads you to believe itwas
successfully deployed? Also, verify the JNDI name you are lookingup in
your client matches the JNDI name for the EJB. If this doesn't solve
the problem, please post the error message and stack trace you are
    seeing on the client.

  • Error on calling a BDC from web dynpro while it runs fine through FM.

I have created a function module for calling transaction ima2n using a BDC. This function module runs as intended, if function module is executed using SE37. if I call the same function module from ABAP dynpro view, on some event. I get the below error. I have debugged the function module but it runs fine. If i debug function module and run the BDC in mode "A" then i can see that BDC is performing the intended actions. This is a strange behaviour.. Please help.

The URL http://dev.corp.bharatpetroleum.com:8000/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/zcapex_appln/ was not called due to an error.
    Note
The following error text was processed in the system D01 : Exception condition "CREATE_ERROR" raised.
The error occurred on the application server dev_D01_00 and in the work process 0 .

    What can I do?
If the termination type was RABAX_STATE, then you can find more information on the cause of the termination in the system D01 in transaction ST22.
If the termination type was ABORT_MESSAGE_STATE, then you can find more information on the cause of the termination on the application server dev_D01_00 in transaction SM21.
If the termination type was ERROR_MESSAGE_STATE, then you can search for more information in the trace file for the work process 0 in transaction ST11 on the application server dev_D01_00 . In some situations, you may also need to analyze the trace files of other work processes.

Try removing this directory: /home/oracle/.jdeveloper/system11.1.1.0.31.52.05/ and restarting JDeveloper.

Thanx for your reply. I am very appreciative that you and others take the time to reply. I follow your blog and hope to become more proficient in JDeveloper.

  • #### Cannot run application Application1 due to error deploying to Default.

    Hi all,
Now, I am studing ADF 11. When I run my application, I meet a problem:
This problem, "can not run your application", I try to stop java, or rebuild, or clean my application... but not successfull
*#### Cannot run application Application1 due to error deploying to DefaultServer.*
*[Application Application1 stopped and undeployed from Server Instance DefaultServer]*
*[Server Instance DefaultServer is shutting down.  All applications currently running will be terminated and undeployed.]*
    *[sending request to shutdown server...]*
    C:\oracle\Middleware\jdeveloper\system\system11.1.1.0.31.51.88\DefaultDomain\bin\stopWebLogic.cmd
    Stopping Weblogic Server...
But, If I remove adf 11 software, after that I install this software then okie, and I can run my application.
    Help me.
    thanks all

Just for the record - my thinking is that there was an application deployed on the integrated server that was miss configured.
Instead of removing the whole system directory - you could just remove the defaultServer subdirectory there.
But even better would have been the option to remove the specific offending application see here:
    http://blogs.oracle.com/shay/2009/08/removing_applications_from_you.html

Why do you think this WITH clause is special?
I've taken the liberty of formatting the code, and can't see what's wrong. (Maybe I'm just too tired)
I believe 9i did have subquery factoring.

    Regards
    Vivek

    Hi All,
I narrowed it down by running a report excluding working journals and that worked fine.
This was being caused by an invalid working Journal. I exported all journals from Prod, and tried loading them to test. One of the errors was
"Line: 7736, Error: Invalid parent.child entity dimension specified"
Looking at the row the journal did not have an entity specified for one of the lines.
When a valid entity was specified the journal report then starts working.
Lesson. Check all journals are valid. To find error, load journals export in a different environment.
    Thanks all for your help.
    Regards
    Vivek

  • IE gives "Error opening file" for Sound while it runs fine on Chrome

Is there something with Adobe and IE compatibility ?
When I run a package in Chrome , my audio and video both work fine
Same package when run in IE , video runs fine but the sound gives "Error opening file"

What type of media file?  Can you post a link to the problem page online?
HTML5 audio and video is supported by most browsers if you include the proper file types?
    MP3 audio
    OGA audio
    MP4 video
    WebM video

  • Unknown Error for DB in Dreamweaver only (pages run fine on IIS 7)

I'm running CS3 locally on Vista with IIS 7 on the ASP .NET
    framework 2.x.
My problem occurs when I try to use Access databases in
Dreamweaver. Whenever I try to "Test Connection", Dreamweaver
throws an "Unknown Error". That's it - no other information is
provided. Moreover, trying to get a list of tables in the Databases
    tab returns no tables.
The paradox is that pages on the site run fine both locally
and remotely. The pages retrieve and display information in the
tables just fine (using the server behaviors created back when I
ran Dreamweaver on XP). So the pages work when I view them with
    http://localhost/dev1.aspx -
and those pages that work are using Dreamweaver server behaviors.
The pages also work fine remotely (IIS 6/Win2K3/Same Directory
Structure), retrieving and displaying information as intended.
As a result of this problem, I can no longer develop the
server behaviors or any sort of database connectivity within
    Dreamweaver.
Please help! Has anyone run into this?
