Error Durring installation of Vision on Windows XP

Hi,
I am installing the vision on windows XP for the first time. The version is 12.0
I received the error as follows:
RW - 50004: Error code received when running external process. Check log file for detail. Running Database install driver for VIS instance.
Please advice how can i overcome this problem.

The flavor is windows xp professional SP2.
Error received during installation at first step on almost 13% .

Visual C++ Fatal error during installation

When I was installing Titanfall on Origin I got a 1603 error. I looked at some forum posts on fixes.
I have uninstalled all of my VC++ from my computer and when i tried to download and install fresh copies every single one results in a fatal error durring installation.

The error log is incorrect. I am using Windows 7 Pro.
I was able to install MS VC++ 2013 redist.(x64) and VC++ 2005 (x64) just fine but I cannot install 2010.
Eh? Never saw an install log where Win 7 was identified as Win XP x64.
What, exactly, are you trying to install? Are you installing Visual Studio, or C++ redistributables?

Im trying to install SDK 7.1 as a requirement for MATLAB 2013 B and the installation stops with the error message "Fatal error during installation".

Hi All,
This problem was not related to BO, it was due to a Windows Write access to the Installation Directory. Our Windows Administrator has addressed the issue. The Upgrade went smoothly after this.

I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:

Probably should've searched around a bit more. Just saw a similar forum post to my own in which redownloading and burning solved another user's similar issue. As of now I've redownloaded the 64-bit ISO, burned it, and so far so good (at 72% extracting files). I will repost here if it was a success in hopes that other users with a similar issue find this and benefit from it. Hope I didn't just waste anyone's time with a question that had already been answered (haha)

You can try downloading the 64 bit version. You can download the trial version of the software thru the page linked below and then use your current serial number to activate it.

Using Boot Camp to Install Windows 7. Keep getting error message "Installer Disk Not Found"

I'm partially throught the Boot Camp set-up process and keep getting the same error message when trying to install Windows. The disk is in the drive, not sure why it's not recognizing it.

I had this problem on my brand-new Mac Pro, but fixed it in my case by burning another copy of the installer disc (from the official download image, not a pirate copy lol) at a SLOWER speed, rather than allowing it to burn at the "maximum possible" setting. This gives the laser more time to properly record, but it didn't perceptually increase the time it took to burn the disc.
I speculate that error-checking is too stringent, but weak; that is, not intelligent enough to correct any read errors. Of course, Apple's test configurations are likely using commercially-produced off-the-shelf discs rather than burned from downloads or they know to never use max speed out of habit.

I discovered the cause of this problem. I had pointed my "My Documents" folder to a NAS drive that I had rather than my C drive. Apparently Photoshop was dependant on it being on the C dirve. When I repointed this back to my C drive CS5 installed properly.

I had to find this solution from another site, so thanks to all the people who viewed this thread & knew how to fix this but didn't bother.
If anyone is weary enough to come to this forum to solve this problem, here is one solution that worked for me & it may work for you if you encounter the error:
"the installer encountered errors before safari could be configured"
1. Use a trustworthy registry cleaner to clean your registry such as Ccleaner or Advanced System Care. This step may not be necessary though.
2. Go to "C:\Users\MyUsername\AppData(Hidden)\Local\Temp" & delete everything in it.
3. If step 2 still doesn't allow you to install Safari, then try:
4. Open Start type "CMD" in the search button, then in the cmd prompt "Regedt32"
5. In the reg editor open:
"Computer" / "HKEYCURRENTUSER" / "Software" / "Apple Computer, Inc." & try deleting the entries for any Apple programs that may be causing any conflicts.
Be aware that any programs that you delete registry entries for may not function correctly afterwards or need to be reinstalled, but this more drastic measure should hopefully allow the installation of Safari browser.
Hope this helps any further visitors to this forum looking to solve this problem it worked for me, good luck.

TS5376 When I try to remove "Apple Mobile Device Support" I get a "Fatal error during installation" message. I have windows XP

The program will not start because MSVCR80.dll is missing. I am trying to unistall I tunes and then reinstall it because the latest upgrade did not work. I was able to remove "Itunes" and "apple Software update' but when I tried to remove "Apple mobile device support" I get a "fatal error during installation" message.

First try a repair install of Apple Mobile Device Support. If that goes through successfully, restart the PC and see if you can now uninstall Apple Mobile Device Support.
If the Repair install doesn't help, try using the fixit from the following Microsoft document to remove Apple Mobile Device Support:
