Error executing job
I encountered the following error when running a job with transformation:
'The job to calculate usage dependencies cannot be executed because the job contains obsolete connection information. Please notify Customer Support'
What might be the cause?
Thanks
Background : in every repository there are some hidden jobs that calculate the usage dependencies needed to show impact and lineage information in the management console. These jobs use a (hidden) datastore with the connection to your repository. When you change the repository password at the database level, the connection information in this hidden datastore will not be valid anymore. I'm assuming this is what happend in your case.
In order to solve this :
1) Start Designer and go to Tools / Options / Job Server / General
2) Add the following attribute values to unhide the hidden objects in the repository :
Section : STRING
Key : DisplayDIInternalJob
Value : TRUE
3) Click OK to close the options window.
4) Now restart Designer to enforce the new options.
5) You will see a new datastore with the name CD_DS_d0cafae2. Edit the datastore with the correct connection parameters for your repository.
6) To hide the datastore again, repeat steps 1-4 but use FALSE as the value.
Hope this helps. If you search the documentation for "Display DI Internal Job" you will get some more detail (Designer Guide / Executing jobs).

Dear Anand,
Did you perform a complete service definition replacement for SDCC/SDCCN as described in the note?
These are manual steps you need to perform on the system and are not code corrections.
I would suggest you perform it, if you have not, and check the SDCCN logs to review the process ran cleanly.
Note: Please make sure SDCC_OSS is functioning and a connection to SAP can be made before
deleting the service definitions.
If you have already replaced the service defintions on the Solution Manager system, then no point doing it again. However checking a note and applying it are not the same thing. So I am uncertain if you replaced the service definitions or not. The dump you are getting in SM:EXEC SERVICES suggests its due to a problem with the service definitons. The recommendation is to replace them according to the process described in SAP Note 727998. If you have not done so please do so.
If you have successfully replaced the service definitions are you still getting the same dump, or has it possibly changed?

F150 Dunning selection executed, job deleted
Hi ,
Pl let me know that from tcode F150 i am getting error like "Dunning selection executed, job deleted".
after defining Parameter & scheduling the job, it is deleting. Whereas It should come "selection scheduled for 28.08.05 at 00:00:00".
Thanks,
Chandra PrakashDid you try to debug it? Put a break-point inside the 'JOB PREAPARATION' routine in the include LF150F01 and check whether the Job is created?
good luck,

deepthiWhile surfing the net i got one solution
NetBackup patch S0820462 corrects this by ensuring file name uniqueness with a timestamp value included in the name. Obtain this patch by contacting VERITAS Technical Support. Once you have the patch, follow the instructions included in the file patchS0820462.README which accompanies the patch.
I got the idea but i dont understand where i will get the info regarding the files ??
and how this patch has to be installed in the system. -

Error executing "options ndmpd.preferred_interface" on storage system
Dear Community Members,I have something strange with my DataSet:Error Message:MyControler.mydomain.com: Error executing "options ndmpd.preferred_interface" on storage system 'MyControler' (131). Please check the host login protocol setting, the error could be due to an issue with the current setting. If you would like to allow work to be done on a non-preferred interface when there is an issue obtaining the preferred interface, please set the dfm option ndmpDataUseAllInterfaces=1. (null)I have a Preferred ndmp Interface, I do not have any credential isssue. BTW:I do not understood what is wrong in my configuration.
I have this problem too but it doesn't seem to be a user rights issue because my NDMP user is in the administrators group with admin role which has cli.*. It's not a problem accessing the filer with SSH because I use PuTTy+SSH from the same Windows box to manage my filers. And it's not an issue with my NDMP user since I just re-set that up in DFM and copy & pasted the NDMP password (plus it works once I enabled the DFM option mentioned in my next paragraph). As suggested by Netapp Management Console (NMC), I set the dfm option to user all interfaces. After doing that, my job in NMC still did an event "retrieving preferred interfaces" and it succeeds and finds my main VIF that I want it to use, along with my e0M management interface. Luckily, it appears to be using the main VIF like I want, because I have NDMPD logging enabled and it makes connections on the VIF and doesn't make any connection on the e0M. The job succeeds, so I guess this works fine for me. Could this be a bug? Anyone out there able to set the preferred NDMP interface and still use NMC for SnapVault backups without setting DFM to user all interfaces for NDMP?

BODI-1270033: Cannot execute Job
I got
BODI-1270033: Cannot execute Job XXX XXX is the job name
when execute the a batch job in the Data Integrator Server's Designer.
Anyway, it is fine if I run the job in Management Console and Local PC's Designer.
Anyone got this error before??Hi
Today I got the same error to an existing job (which ran just fine yesterday).
You are right it works without any error from Management console but within DI it fails.
Unfortunately it does not give any specific reason (other than the error mentioned in subject line). The job compiles fine.
Upon further investigation, came to the conclusion that it fails to connect to some of the ODBC connections I was using in the job.
We have about 20+ Data stores using unique ODBC connections in this job. Few of those connections were failing and finally I got more specific error when I tried to open one. The error was "Too many client tasksu2026ODBC connection failed". When I looked that error up on internet it said this happens when the connections are not released properly. But I have no idea how I can do so? I rebooted the server which has DI on it thinking that might help but it did not.
It appears, all of a sudden the DI is not able to handle all those connections effectively.
I have to use ODBC connections as those are Access files. I am accessing each Data store one at a time in its own Data Flow.
I have used this method in many of my jobs and till date had no problem. I don't understand why all of a sudden this is giving problem and what the solution would be!
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Conflict situation: Unable to execute job
Hi Experts,
I am executing program RSXMB_DEL_TO_ARCH to change DEL flag of messages in PI to ARCH flag. When I execute, I get an error message 'Conflict situation: Unable to execute job'. I have stopped all reorg jobs in the system but still I am getting the same error. What could be wrong?
Thanks,

Logging errors from job's program
Hello,
I want to log error returned from the job's program and I wonder whether it is possible at all.
What I have done is:
1) write a procedure
2) create a program executing this procedure
3) create a job running this program
From time to time this procedure returns error (it does some operation on objects and sometimes some of them are invalid). Normally, this error causes job to finish it's action (job failure as well). I needed this job to proceed so I added a clause 'exception when others then null'. Now it works, but it's a temporary solution because I need to capture this error and log it, so that it is available for further investigation.
I searched through oracle doc and it seems the only choice is to create my own table or file and log the results into it.
Does any of you know any other way? For example to log it in somehow into system tables (like dba_scheduler_job_run_details).
Thanks in advance,
AliqHi Dharmesh,
Thanks for responding.
This is a large deployment involving hundreds of applications and servers. My responsibility is to come up with development guidelines for applications hosted on TS. I have gone through the guidelines
posted by Microsoft @
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa383490(v=vs.85).aspx. But it didn't cover the topic on logging.
Do you know whether Microsoft has published any other document on this topic.
Thanks,

Hi,
In IDES ECC6.0 Ehp 3 (Os: window 2003 64bit DB: oracle 10.2.0.2) server when iam goto T-Code -- SM36 -- Standard Jobs -- Default Scheduling iam getting below error.
<error saving job to database>
So I patched oracle 10.2.0.1 to 10.2.0.4, and kernel patch with latest one.
But, the same error occured.
I tried to execute r3trans -d at the OS level,the results is <The system cannot execute the specified program>.
In SM21, i am getting below error
<error saving job to database>
&CAUSE &
The SAP system was unable to save the current job in the database. This failure suggests that there is a problem with the database system or with the network connections between the SAP application servers and the database system.
&SYSTEM_RESPONSE&
Job not saved and not scheduled.
&What_TO_DO&
To analyze this problem, start by checking the <DS:TRAN.SM21>system log for message about network or database problems. you can also use the <DS:TRAN.SRZL>computing center management system to check your system for problems. >
I checked SM28 and SICK and it reports no error.
Please help how can I schedule the standard jobsMake sure you use the proper kernel, for 64bit there are two kernels:
- one for AMD64 and Intel64
- one for Itanium-2 64bit
The R3trans seems to be the wrong one - as I would suggest are the brtools.

Executable-Job to call batch-file
Dear NG!
I'm currently using Oracle 10.1.0.4 on a MS Windows Server 2003 and
I've got some problems concerning EXECUTABLE-Jobs in DBMS_SCHEDULER.
I just want to PIPE OUT the results of my Batch-Execution in a LOG-File,
but ORACLE just returns an error code.
Here's my example:
the Batch-File "TEST.bat" contains:
dir c:\temp >c:\temp\content.log
the SCHEDULER-Job to run in PL/SQL:
BEGIN
DBMS_SCHEDULER.CREATE_JOB (
JOB_NAME =>'TEST1',
JOB_TYPE =>'executable',
JOB_ACTION =>'c:\temp\TEST.bat',
ENABLED => TRUE,
AUTO_DROP => TRUE
COMMIT;
DBMS_SCHEDULER.RUN_JOB('TEST1');
END;
the LOG-Message:
ORA-27369: Job vom Typ EXECUTABLE nicht erfolgreich mit Exit-Code: Unzul¿ige Funktion.
I also tried the following JOB_ACTION-Parameter:
- 'c:\windows\system32\cmd.exe /q /c c:\temp\TEST.bat'
or
- 'c:\windows\system32\cmd.exe /q /c c:\temp\TEST.bat >Nul'
or
- 'dir c:\temp >c:\temp\content.log'
or
- 'c:\windows\system32\cmd.exe /c /q dir c:\temp >c:\temp\content.log'
...but I had no success.
I already read the posts in the forums about that but I did not found any solution.
Could someone please tell me where my mistake is?
A rapid response would be appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
DirkYou may be hitting bug 3663347 - WIN32/SCHEDULER: EXECUTABLE JOB FAILS WITH 'ORA-27369: THE HANDLE IS INVALID', which should be fixed by Patch 4287619.

Error 5200: Error executing the query.
We both have same privileges in shared services.
I have created this new report.
Just to let you know it worked fine when i created on 1st day for both of us and is now throing error.
Thanks!Hi,
Have the other admin turned on the preview option in the workspace financial reporting preferences.
This sometimes can cause problems if it is turned off.
Cheers

Error reading job logs of Apps server from Central Instance
Dear Gurus,
We have newly installed system with one CI ( cluster environment) and 2 application Instances.
Systems are recently installed by other team. I am looking into support part after handover.
We have noticed below error while reading failed background job logs from our CI. If suppose any job is failing, we can read respective job log from that application instance but it throws error while reading job log from CI to either of application instance.
I checked /sapmnt/SID/global is shared among all 3 servers and i am successfully able to "Touch a" from applications instances.
Even though i have given "777" permissions to all folders like /sapmnt/SID , /sapmnt/SID/global , /sapmnt/SID/global/400JOB*
I am not able to read job log from CI , for same failed job I can read job log from respective application instance.
Error log :
Error reading job log JOBLGX00080700X39290
Message no. BT167
Diagnosis
The background processing system was unable to read the job log named in the message.
This message suggests that there is a problem with the TEMSE storage system of the SAP system. The TEMSE storage system is a repository for temporary objects, such as job logs and spool requests. Job logs are always stored in the TEMSE as operating system files.
This error occurs if the TEMSE system is not able to find or access the file that contains the text of the job log that you requested. Possible causes for the loss or unavailability of the job log include the following:
Someone deleted the required TEMSE file (from the operating system, not from within the SAP system).
A CRON (or equivalent scheduler) job has deleted the TEMSE file.
The file system in which the TEMSE stores its files is not mounted or is not accessible (NFS problem, disk failure, or similar problem).
The TEMSE reorganize or consistency check functions were used within the SAP system and deleted the job log.
SM21 logs :
Error 2 for write/read access to a file. File = /usr/sap/SID/SYS/global
BP_JOBLOG_SHOW: Failed to display jobs. Reason:
> Error reading job log JOBLGX00080700X39290
Strange this is I can check failed job log on one application instance frfom other application instance but not from CI.
Kindly throw some lights where to check.
Regards,Hi Shravan,
I guess it is related to permission to /sapmnt/SID/global folder. Please ensure owner is sidadm:sapsys in all the systems viz CI, App servers etc.
Check the mounting options are correctly set with read/write mode.
Hope this helps.

Deepak Kori
