Error in adding KE30-PA report created to new user.
Please help me with my problem. I have created a report for KE30-profitability analysis report which I will add to a new user name in sap. I have created the role which is zabc then I added the profitability analysis report which I created. A YXxxxxxxxx report was created.
Since I have added the report in the role I check in the username assigned if this can be access. When I run the report it says that the report does not exist. What could be the problem here? Did I miss something in adding the report in the role?
Please help.
You may create a new transaction code via SE93 and assign the COPA report to that t-code. In order to identify the program, you may go to KE30 and execute the report you want to run. At the next screen, go via menu, System>Status. Under the SAP data, Repository data, you can locate the program that runs the COPA report. It may look like GP4740U7CQJQKA2Y9LWOTG0MK9Z.
This is the report you need to assign in SE93 and select program and selection screen option.
Once created, you can attach this t-code to a specifically created role and assign to the user. You may need developer's and basis assistance to get this done.

Now the weird thing is this. He got this error, and the user WAS STILL added to our user lists. This doesn't happen all the time, as in the logs he created a user minutes before this one and he did not receive any errors.
This is just something that we do not want to have happen. Does anyone have any idea of what may have caused this and what I can do to prevent this from happening again.
I cannot find any info on this BEA-423137 error anywhere on the site and I was wondering if someone would be able to help me out.
Thanks,
GarretNevermind everyone. I figured out that I can do a manual change and just add the user to one of the groups and everything should be ok. Something happened silently within the system that caused it.

Error when creating a new user in Data Federator XI 3.0
Hi there,
I am completely new to Data Federator so please bear with me.
I have successfully created a new user but I am not able to run the command:
GRANT EXECUTE ON PROCEDURE executeUpdateNativeQuery TO user1
as I get the following error: Incorrect procedure name: 'executeUpdateNativeQuery' (Error code: 10000)
I am following page 482 of the Data Federator User Guide.
Thanks!

Hi Jason
There is a typo in the documentation, the name of the procedure is:
executeNativeUpdateQuery
By the way, you can get the full procedure list by entering the following query in the administrator
SELECT * FROM leselect.system.procedures
Hope this helps,

Error in creating a new user in j2ee 14 admin console
Hi,
I am getting the following error while trying to create a new user using the j2ee 1.4 admin console.:
A "com.sun.enterprise.tools.guiframework.exception.FrameworkError" was caught. The message from the exception: "Unable to get View for ViewDescriptor 'fileUsers'"
The root cause is "java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 0"
Plz proide me with solutions
Regads,
TanmoyThis problem wil happen only if you've created a user with an empty group id, and this issue is fixed for FCS .
You have two workarounds to use adminGUI for managing users:
1. Use CLI, and create a group id to this user, then you can use adminGUI.
2. Other option is remove the empty group id user from domain.xml, and then you can come back to adminGUI to create the user with some group id. I prefer the 1st option. -

I Tried to create another one under a different name (databases also) and I get the same error.
The SharePoint instance has the march mandatory update installed. The sql instance we are using is an existing SQL cluster for other SharePoint poc's.
Has anybody seen this issue before?I had the same problem and could not figure out what was wrong for the longest time. I then had the idea to check in the model system database to see if there were any extra custom tables in that database. Any tables that are in the model database
are put into any new database when it is created. I had some custom tables in the model database so I deleted the custom tables in the model database and deleted the failed user profile service application and its databases and then tried to recreate
the user profile service application again and it worked with no errors -

I have tried putting music onto it, and it puts it on the playlist, but when I disconnect, it isn't there. I have also tried creating a new user, and still get the error. Please Help!!! Thanx!
Your nano would really have nothing to do with it at that point. It is really something between iTunes and whatever server out there on the internet that it is trying to connect to for the update.
Try posting this one in the iTunes forum, they might have a solution for you.

Persistence error in EP7.0 to create a new user in portal
Hi all,
I have installed CRM5.0 and EP7.0 with same Database.
i am able to logon to portal through new user created through backend system by SU01 with role sap_j2ee_admin but i am creating a new user in portal the error is showing :
"An error occurred in the persistence; contact your system administrator ".
can any body pls suggest .
Thanks & Regards,
RajHi Raj
As per your post you have installed the JAVA stack of NetWeaver 2004s together with the ABAP stack. Because of this SAP J2EE UME is connecting to an ABAP System is using ABAP, which assigns the SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNICATION_RO role to the communication user, which only allows read-only access by default. So you can't create users from within the UMS on the EP 7.0 but only with transaction SU01 in ABAP.
If needed Change it using UM Configuration --> Direct Editing so that i will directly write to the database
I never tried to make the UME connection a read/write and in my system it also yellow and not green in Authorizations for SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNICATION and SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNICATION_RO.
Hope that this might help you.
Thanks & regards

For me, I noted that in the sample directory, a similar "createView" call (in End User Anonymous Enrollment) also includes this argument:
<Argument name='viewId' value='User'/>
When I added that to my createView call, the "Missing view id" error went away, and the user are gets created.
I'm not entirely comfortable with the value specified, though; seems like view IDs should be more unique. I would have thought it should have been something like this instead:
<Argument name='viewId' value='User:$(accountId)'/> -
How do I create a new user, move my old files etc over, and delete old user
This is why I think I need to.
My computer got hit by lightening, and I may have created a new user account through netinfo rather than system preferences /accounts/+user. Mail used to open twice, but no longer. Now, Safari askes me for my keychain password twice, Spotlight can't find a folder on the computer when the search is restricted to folder and computer, though the folder is there and easyfind finds it, and when System Preferences/Spotlight/Privacy has the hard drive icon added, then deleted, Spotlight still does not find anything. (Yes, everything is backed up, on CD, DVD, and online.) Microsoft Tec Support says
"Here is a summary of the key points of the case for your records.
When you contacted us on August 8, you had requested assistance with Microsoft Office 2004, as your installation of the updates was unable to find the correct version of the software to update. After creating a New MAC User, we identified the issue to be with a corrupt MAC User account, and not a Microsoft issue. "
I believe Microsoft. So, creating a new user was easy.
But copying files uses up too much hard drive (movies, music), and may miss keychains, preferences, mail, address book, and documents. Since Spotlight no longer works, who knows what is happening. (Yes, I've repaired persmissions, and disk repair. No change). I'm using up my hard drive trying to move files to the new user. If I share files, or put them into a public folder, then delete the old user, will I still have the old user's files in the new user's account? It is not clear to me what I should be trying to do in order to create a new user, move my old files etc over, and delete old user. Thanks.
My responses will be slow, because I have to drive to town to use the internet. I've ordered a new airport which may take care of that problem. SO be patient.Hey -
I need to do the EXACT same thing, but have no idea how. Has anyone out there done this?
My situation is a tad different..this is a new Mac (and I'm a brand new Mac user). Tons of querks occur under my original account (videos won't run, Safari won't support certain plug-ins). I spent 6 hours on the phone w/ 4 different Apple Reps and nobody could fix it. A rep finally looked at my MacBook Pro in person today. He created a new account just to see if that would work and under that new account, everything works perfectly fine (no querks, can view video). He tried switching a million settings in my original account to no avail.
He said to create a new account (as he did) and move my files over to the new account and then go back to the original and delete it. How do you do this?! I can't figure it out! I've got a new account created, but of course it just has the default folders in it w/ the little red icons next to them! Thanks in advance! -
Creating a new user in solution manager?
Dear All,
How to create a new user in solution manager for creating an incident?prathish5,
I did this in our SolMan by following the instructions provided by a SAP document called: "Service Desk VAR Setup Master Data". I got it from the Support Portal, though I can't seem to find it now so I can't provide a link at this time.
Anyway, assuming that your SolMan is already able to download your master data (and/or your customers', if you are a VAR), these are the steps suggested by the guide:
1) The message creator (aka Key User) should have the following authorization roles:
SAP_SUPPDESK_CREATE
SAP_SUPPCF_CREATE
SAP_SMWORK_BASIC
SAP_SMWORK_INCIDENT_MAN
See also SAP note 834534.
A best practice is to create a Z copy of all of these roles (use transaction PFCG), so you can manage them and change them around if you need to. Just make sure to "activate" all the authorizations of your copy of the roles:
- Open the roles in tr. PFCG;
- Select Authorizations, and choose Change authorization data;
- If you get a yellow semaphore, be sure to review the authorizations and fill them according to your security policy. You can assign global permissions for all the authorization objects by double-clicking the yellow semaphore;
- Generate the profile, then go back and save the role;
2) Following the guide, with tr. SU01 I created a Template user and called it KEY_USER (make sure the user type is actually Template) and assigned to it the Z roles you created in the step above;
3) If your SolMan is working properly, you can now use report AI_SDK_SP_GENERATE_BP (tr. SA38) to create the Business Partners and SAP users automatically. The report will log in the Support Portal and read the users which are authorized to open a SAP tickets, and create a BP and user for each of them. Use the Template user KEY_USER created in step 2 as a "Reference user" and all the new users will automatically get the correct autorizations. Also if your SAP Connect (tr. SCOT) is correctly configured, you can choose to send an automatic mail to each user, with their login and generated password.
Otherwise, you can manually create a user with transactions SU01 and BP - be sure to fill the "Identities" table here - the report AI_SDK_SP_GENERATE_BP makes all these things automatically so it's definitely your best bet.
4) Your users should now be able to log in with the SAPgui and use transaction CREATE_NOTIF to create a new message in your SolMan. Also if you have done the preparation steps correctly they should also be able to log in your Incident Manager using their browser, and open a message there and also review their past messages.
Those are just a quick insight of the steps you need to do. This is NOT an easy thing to configure, at least it wasn't for me; if you don't have a reliable guide to follow you're going to struggle: I strongly suggest you browse through the SAP documentations (also the blogs) - http://service.sap.com/xsearch is your best friend!
I hope this helps a little bit. Good luck. -
Problem while creating a new user on solaris
I have a SUN ultra machine. Solaris 2.6 is installed on this machine.
I have successfully created a new user in this machine using "admintool"
Problem is I'm getting error messages when I'm trying to update NIS DATABASE.
I'm doing-
#cd /var/yp
#/usr/ccs/bin/make
and the response is----
updated passwd
pushed passwd
make:Warning:Don't know how to make target /etc/ethers
Current working directory /var/yp
make:Warning:Don't know how to make target /etc/netgroup
Current working directory /var/yp
make:Warning:Don't know how to make target /etc/bootparams
Current working directory /var/yp
updated netid
pushed netid
Couldn't find /etc/timezone
make:Warning:Target all not remade because of errors.
Current working directory /var/ypI had the a similar problem with new users on sloaris 8.
I wasn't able to add new users and change the shell variable while using admintool.
Login back into the console would simply not happen.
All i've been able to find is that changing the users' variable - i.e. .login or .profile to match that of a working existing user (root),
would skip over the problems.
Other variables in the skeleton files were helpful. I suggest you take a look at them. -
Create a new user for oracle 10G ASM instance with sysdba system privilege
Hi,
In our Golden Gate Project, we require the SYS user credential to connect to the Oracle 10g ASM instance to read the database transaction logs.But our client is not providing the SYS user credential to connnect to ASM instance.
I'm getting the error message "ORA-01109: database not open",When I tried to create a new user using the below the steps in oracle 10g ASM instance
1. Login using "sqlplus / as sysdba"
2. Create user <username> identified by <password>;
But in oracle 11g ASM instance, I'm able to create new user by connecting the ASM instance with SYSASM role without issues.
Is there is any workaround to create a new user with sysdba system privilege in oracle 10g ASM instance?.
Thanks in advance .Hi,
Recreate the password file for the ASM instance as follows:
Unix:
orapwd file=<ORACLE_HOME>/dbs/PWD<SID> password=<sys_password>
Windows:
orapwd file=<ORACLE_HOME>/database/PWD<SID>.ora password=<sys_password>
Now sys password is reset, we are ready to use sys for ASM management. I decided to create another user ASMDBA as I tried above.
SQL> create user ASMDBA identified by test01;
User created.
SQL> grant SYSASM, SYSOPER to ASMDBA;
Grant succeeded.
SQL> select * from v$pwfile_users;
USERNAME SYSDBA SYSOPE SYSASM
SYS TRUE TRUE TRUE
ASMDBA FALSE TRUE TRUE
Please see this link : http://orachat.com/how-to-change-asm-sys-password-creating-sysasm-user-11g/

ORA-01031 SYSMAN Insufficient Privileges Creating a new user
I have installed Oracle 11g R2 onto Windows 7 64bit
I then created a new database, at the end it moaned about the service and listener was not running or allocated to each other and also there was no web admin tool available.
To resolve this I managed to use Net Configuration Assistant to get the listener sorted.
I then had to run:
set ORACLE_HOSTNAME=localhost
set ORACLE_SID=mydb
set ORACLE_UNQNAME=mydb
I then ran
emca -config dbcontrol db -repos recreate
This gave me the web admin tool to create a new user.
I logged in as SYSMAN tried to create a new user and got the "ORA-01031 Insufficient Privileges, you do not have enough privileges to perform this operation." error
Can someone please help.
ThanksIt isn't that simple. As SYSMAN used for 11.2.0.3 database control:
orcl> select privilege from user_sys_privs;
PRIVILEGE
CREATE PUBLIC SYNONYM
SELECT ANY DICTIONARY
UNLIMITED TABLESPACE
ALTER SESSION
orcl>but as SYSMAN used for 12.1 Cloud Control:SQL> select privilege from user_sys_privs;
PRIVILEGE
ALTER USER
DROP USER
CREATE SESSION
CREATE PUBLIC SYNONYM
CREATE JOB
CREATE MATERIALIZED VIEW
SELECT ANY DICTIONARY
CREATE TABLE
ALTER SESSION
CREATE USER
CREATE SYNONYM
DROP PUBLIC SYNONYM
MANAGE SCHEDULER
CREATE VIEW
CREATE DATABASE LINK
15 rows selected.
SQL>so you have to be a bit careful when you give a yes/no answer.

Forgot to include a quote: this is replying to the question about whether SYSMAN can create users. -
I've recently tried to restore my IPhone4. For some reason, its not working properly (i.e my phone won't come out of restore). I've already restarted my computer, and created a new user account on my computer.The message that keeps popping up says Error 1604 which i know has somethign to do with the USB port but i don't know what specifically. Any Help??
Error 1604
This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, using a different dock connector to USB cable, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections. If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the white Apple USB dock connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.
If the issue is not resolved by USB isolation troubleshooting, and another computer is not available, try these steps to resolve the issue:
Connect the device to iTunes, confirm that the device is in Recovery Mode. If it's not in Recovery Mode, put it into Recovery Mode.
Restore and wait for the error.
When prompted, click OK.
Close and reopen iTunes while the device remains connected.
The device should now be recognized in Recovery Mode again.
Try to restore again.
If the steps above do not resolve the issue, try restoring using a known-good USB cable, computer, and network connection.
