Error in adding value of format " Number"

Hi All,
I am usning Visual Composer 700.14. I have developed one application using VC where i need to add value in the format <N. When I submit it, the portal hangs and we are not able to submit it.
But we are able to add values like 01,02..
I believe the issue is due to the special character < and " . I have not put any validation too.
But when we add these values through PI GUI, we are able to add these.
Any pointers will be highly appreciable.
Thanks,
Richa

HI All,
Please help me solve the issue if anyone of you have ever faced this sort of problem.
Richa

  • HT1473 No error when adding inappropriate video format to iTunes

    When I choose unsupported video format it tells nothing and just ignore my request. I spent 2 hours struggling with that you call "user friendly" interface. Completely disappointed...

    You have to convert them to MPEG-4 files to play them back to your iPod. I suggest using Videora iPod Converter to re-encode your video files to MPEG4

  • What is this error java.sql.SQLException: Bad format for number ?

    Dear All,
    I am reading few values from database. Then I get this error "MyError:Error : java.sql.SQLException: Bad format for number 'Sarawak' in column 6. " So what is this error referring to. I have checked the database column and its value fits according the data type. Any hints please?

    I have checked the database column and its value fits according the data type.Check again. Then check again. Keep checking until you find your error. You are trying to read a string containing "Sarawak" as a number. You have "getInt(6)" or other numeric type, and the 6th column in the select statement is not numeric.

  • Error while setting Minimum value to  Input Number Spin Box..

    Hai
    I drag and drop a VO and created a table.In that table,i convert a column which contain an InputText field to Input Number Spin Box.At the time of page load ,the table fetches the datas from the DataBase and showing Number values in the SpinBox.After that,When i scroll the table through vertical scrollBar,the table showing *"fetching data"* and Error is throwing as *"The value must be Number"* .. In the VO,this attribute is Number.
    THIS ERROR ONLY OCCURS when i set the Minimum value of spinBox ..The purpose of setting minimum value is that i only want user to select ve value only..How can i restrict the user for selecting only ve values..?(ie,*How can i set minimum value to SpinBox?)*

    Try changing the datatype of your attribute in the EO to be Double instead of Number.

  • Re: Error, numeric or value error: character to number conversion error

    Can someone please please tell me why I'm getting this error and what I'm doing wrong? It looks like a simple error, "numeric or value error: character to number conversion error".
    My code is as follows:
    string connectionString = WebConfigurationManager.ConnectionStrings["DEMO_TEST"].ConnectionString;
    OracleConnection con = new OracleConnection(connectionString);
    OracleCommand cmd = new OracleCommand("DEMO.PKG_LOCATION_TYPE.INS", con);
    cmd.CommandType = CommandType.StoredProcedure;
    cmd.Parameters.Add(new OracleParameter("@P_DESCRIPTION", OracleDbType.Varchar2, 60));
    cmd.Parameters["@P_DESCRIPTION"].Value = "Test_Description";
    cmd.Parameters.Add(new OracleParameter("@P_NAME", OracleDbType.Varchar2, 6));
    cmd.Parameters["@P_NAME"].Value = "Test_Name";
    cmd.Parameters.Add(new OracleParameter("@P_LOCATION_TYPE_CD", OracleDbType.Decimal, 4));
    cmd.Parameters["@P_LOCATION_TYPE_CD"].Direction = ParameterDirection.InputOutput;
    con.Open();
    try
    cmd.ExecuteNonQuery();
    catch
    //In case of an error
    finally

    Are the parameters in your procedure in the same order as they are created in this code? Oracle command works by position unless you change it to be BindByName.
    Failing that you seem to have defined a parameter (P_NAME) to have a length of 6, and are then setting it's value to a string with a length of 9.
    Also the in/output parameter is defined as type decimal. Is this correct? It is defined as InputOutput but you don't assign it any value.
    If these suggestions don't help then perhaps if you post the stored procedure you might get some more ideas.

    looks like you should have asked this in the ADF-forum...
    JDeveloper and ADF
    Why don't you simply configure the user name beeing unique in your entity?
    ADF would raise an exeption for you.
    public String onRowCreate( Row currentRow ) {
    return null;
    }Don't do that.
    returning a literal null is almost ever a mistake! In this certain case you should declare you methods return type as void and ommit the return statement.

    And what about this statement?
    dbms_output.put_line('cust id is ' + ccust);You are adding a literal with ccust.
    If you want to concatenate the output use:
    dbms_output.put_line('cust id is ' || ccust);After so many post you should know how to format your code.
    When you put some code or output please enclose it between two lines starting with {noformat}{noformat}
    i.e.:
    {noformat}{noformat}
    SELECT ...
    {noformat}{noformat}

  • Error while adding portlets

    Error: Internal error (WWC-00006)
    An unexpected error has occurred in pages: ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character to number conversion error (WWC-44847)
    Couldn't save attribute Content_Owner. (WWV-03005)
    Couldn't save attribute Content_Author. (WWV-03005)
    Hi,
    I am getting this error while adding portlets to my page group..any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance

    No, This is happening with oracle defined portlets. But , I am also not able to add any navigation page as a portlet to any of my page. Is it any database back up issue? as I am testing something in UAT , in dev environment everything is fine.

  • Error in assigning value to local variable

    i am writing a stored procedure in which i have pass parameter if parameter value is zero then i assign a previously declared variable null else that value
    syntax is this
    create or replace
    PROCEDURE usp_Add_Update_Insurance
    p_CityID IN NUMBER DEFAULT NULL
    as
    v_CityID number(10,0);
    begin
    IF p_CityID = 0 THEN
    BEGIN
    v_CityID := NULL;-----giving error in this line
    else
    v_CityID:=p_CityID;
    END;
    END IF;
    end
    begin
    ///some query
    end
    please help someone

    I think there is no added value by putting those Begin/End.
    The simplest solution is just remove them
    Create Or Replace
    Procedure Usp_Add_Update_Insurance (
         P_Cityid In Number Default Null
    ) As
         V_Cityid Number(10,0);
    Begin
         If P_Cityid = 0 Then
              V_Cityid := Null;
         Else
              V_Cityid:=P_Cityid;
         End If;
         -- do something with V_Cityid
    End; The only reason for having Begin/End is if you want to catch some exceptions or perform some strange local variable declarations. But it does not seems to be case here.

  • XSLT Processor Bug? format-number() on large numbers

    For numbers 100,000,000.00 and higher, I'm getting extra digits and rounding errors.
    How can I use some custom Java code in the XSL stylesheet so the correct value is displayed (i.e. w/o rounding)? I'm getting a value of 100000000.00 and I need to insert the commas. Sometimes the correct value is displayed, other times, additional numbers are appended and the amount is rounded.

    The XSLT processor uses java.text.DecimalFormat under the covers as the XSLT 1.0 specification suggests. I would imagine any problems with format-number() actually boil down to problems with java.text.DecimalFormat.
    You can use Java Extension functions to perform custom Java in your stylesheet.
    See the file .\extfunc.html in the root directory of the XML Parser for Java V2
    distribution.
