Error in Adventure Demo

I get the following error when checking out in the Adventure Demo.
There has been an error.
Cause:
com.sun.j2ee.blueprints.waf.controller.web.html.HTMLActionException: CheckoutHTMLAction Exception : Internal Server Error (caught exception while handling request: javax.ejb.TransactionRolledbackLocalException: Exception thrown from bean; nested exception is: javax.ejb.TransactionRolledbackLocalException: Exception thrown from bean; nested exception is: javax.ejb.EJBException: EJB Timer service not available)
I have not editted any code only installed. The rest of the demo runs fine.
Anyone else seen this problem.

Please check your server.log. There should be an error message there if
the EJB Timer Service did not start successfully. In the beta2, in order to use the EJB timer service, you need to start the pointbase server before starting the appserver. (This restriction will be removed in the next release) Also, make sure to use the JDK 1.4.1_02. JDK 1.4.2 introduced a bug that prevents the timer service from starting. If you're using JDK 1.4.2, after switching to JDK 1.4.1_02, please reinstall the app server.

I installed the Blueprint Demo - Adventure Demo 1.0 with the lastest J2EE 1.4 SDK successfully.
However, when I tested the demo, I found that there is always message displayed at the phone 'General Error' when I made reservation via menu item 'Reserve'. Other functions are fine.
This is not the first time I encountered in this current version. It happened with previous release of J2EE 1.4 SDK.
I can't find any error log in the server log. Does anybody encounter the problem and know the resolution?

Have you tried setting the logging detail level to something more fine grain than INFO?
Try changing the <install_dir>/domains/domain1/config/domain.xml file's <module-log-levels> element entry for logging:

Instead of using "INFO", try using "FINEST" to see if that produces any clue as to the cause of this error.
After changing the appropriate entries to "FINEST", start the application server, and check the <install_dir>/domains/domain1/logs/server.log after retesting. Can you determine if there is any new information related to this error in server.log?
Please let me know what you determine after trying the suggestion in this email.

Error in loading demo application

Hi ,
I tried in loading the issuer tracker demo application as per directions in the read me file.
When I tried to import the sql through application express instant , I am getting the error as shown below.
ORA-20001: GET_BLOCK Error. ORA-20001: Execution of the statement was unsuccessful. ORA-20001: The procedure remove_flow was called without a value for p_id -- a application ID must be provided. <pre>begin -- Remove Application wwv_flow_api.remove_flow(); end; </pre>
Any one has idea's.

I'll take a guess here.
I'm thinking your phrase "import the sql through application express instant" means that you're taking the SQL script and attempting to execute it in SQL Script or SQL Commands in the SQL Workshop.
If that is the case, then that's your error. You simply want to import this as an Application in Application Builder.

Error while testing demo app:Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

I am new to the webdynpro development. I was starting with building demo application. However, finding below error while testing it using se80 transaction. Please suggest if any configuration is missing or anything else.
I am using ECC6 : 720 Final Release....
Error is below :
This problem can be caused by a variety of issues, including:
u2022Internet connectivity has been lost.
u2022The website is temporarily unavailable.
u2022The Domain Name Server (DNS) is not reachable.
u2022The Domain Name Server (DNS) does not have a listing for the website's domain.
u2022There might be a typing error in the address.
u2022If this is an HTTPS (secure) address, click Tools, click Internet Options, click Advanced, and check to be sure the SSL and TLS protocols are enabled under the security section.

I did the steps as mentioned by you. I also checked the link http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/EP/12ITSWebGUI-Activation(BackEnd) to activate the its webgui. Now the new error is coming as mentioned below.
Note: After running webdynpro application a login screen apears and after giving uid and pwd following error appears. however, while testing the service in sicf, logon happens successfull.

Please let me know if anything is missing or the further steps i can take.

Error while executing demo scenario ProxyToProxy (for SAP PI 7.1)

I've try to execute demo scenario ProxyToProxy (from Simple Use Cases (SAP NetWeaver PI 7.1) at Getting Started With Service Bus-Based Integration [original link is broken] ). I call transaction SXIPATT1, enter suitable data and click "Send". In result, error message "OBJECT_IS_NO_PROXY Object CLASS_NAME CO_SXIPAT_XI_PATTERN_IF2_OUT is not a proxy object" displayed. Can you help me to resolve this problem?

I get the same exact error.
I went to SPROXY transaction. I can not figure out where to find message interface and how to activate it. Can you please give me steps. Like which menu I should go under to see that option?
Help will be greatly appreciated. I an a newbie and spent too much time could not figure this out myself.

Errors running JCORBA demos in OAS 4.0.7

Hello!!
I am having problem trying to run the JCORBA demo provided with OAS 4.0.7 as well as the example laid out in the tutorial that is provided in the documentation that comes with it.
This is the error I'm getting when trying to execute any of the applications:
oracle.oas.jco.ObjectFactoryException: Cannot locate Resource Manager ; nested exception org.omg.CORBA.NO_IMPLEMENT[completed=MAYBE]
Does anybody have any idea what;s going on here?

ParseTDS error using XSQL demos

I recently installed the Oracle XSQL servlet engine. When I try one of the demos that make use of object views, I get the following error message:

There is some Dutch in this, which is a bit odd, but the text "Fout bij ontleden typedescriptor" means "Error parsing type descriptor". What could be wrong?

I am using an Oracle 8.1.6 server. On the machine that runs the XSQL servlet, I have an 8.0.5 Net8 connection, but I assume that this is not important, since this should not be used by the Oracle JDBC driver. All examples work as long as the objecty views are not used.
I don't know how this parser works internally, but I think it might have something to do with the absence of some of the field names in the query result.
Here's what I mean: when I try the insurance demo, and select example three, I get the correct result. When I execute the associated query in SQL*Plus, I get the following result:

The result contains a reference to the object PAYMENT, but the definition of this object cannot be derived from the column names.
If the parser indeed uses these column names to derive an object structure, this may be the cause, but the question is: what went wrong during the installation that caused this problem?

I tried your url as well and got the same error.
Can you try reaching your demo by backtracking some? I got to this site (see following url: http://www.oracle.com/technology/sample_code/products/forms/index.html) but I couldn't find where you went after that. It is titled 'Oracle Forms 10g Online Demonstrations and Sample Code'.
I hope someone else that is familiar with the demos out on Oracle will speak up or try it as well.

Error in FOD demo with Data Visualization statistics TAB

I have FOD for Jdev11 is working fine but whenever I select statistics TAB it gave error as graph3_swf is undefined I need help whenever I used a template and graphics I got the same error.

I am not certain I understand the problem. Can you currently see an graph in the Fusion Order Demo? If not ensure that you have the flash plugin installed.

We had imported old golden demo file which supports to Patch 1. David confirmed that there was some issue in earlier delivered golden demo file for Patch 1. We decided to upgrade to Patch 2.
We are having some issue in upgrade to Patch 2. We cannot upgrade Database to rev 69_4 as we are using Amazon HANA server. In Amazon HANA server, we cannot see option to upgrade from 69 to 60_4, we see directly from 69 to 70.
My question is, will it be an issue in golden demo if we upgrade database to rev 70.

File Not Found Error running JSP demos

I'm not sure what is going on, but it appears that every time I try to run a jsp, the server looks in the document root where it errors out with a file not found error. I've seen others with this type of problem but I haven't seen a solution. Anyone have any ideas?

1: Double check the port number that your Tomcat Server is using. (TOMCAT_HOME/conf/server.xml).
2: check you IP. This is not the 'localhost' IP (not sure if it is LAN or real IP). So it may change dynamically.
3: Check for Firewalls. Also, since you are not using localhost, you will have to make sure you traverse all the firewalls built around your system. If you have a router (home), windows XP, or some other firewall, make sure the appropriate ports are opened. If you are behind a corporate firewall, or your ISP closes ports... your kinda out of luck until you find a way to cheat around them.
2: Try just using just "/ValidateUser.jsp" as long as it is one the same domain as the Form. This will make it less likely to break, should your IP change.

Problem/Error with 'Document' demo!

the "document" demo does not seem to work correct (in my case: Oracle 8.1.6, xsql servlet version 1.0.0.0 (Production) and MSIE 5.5).
The demo lets you insert a XML-document in a table and retrieve it afterwards.
The retreiving part does not work. The frame at the right remains empty, unless I remove the line:
<?xml-stylesheet type="text/xsl" href="clob.xsl"?>
from doc.xsql. Then I see the XML document as a tree structure in IE.
What is wrong with the demo, or my setup?

P.s. I am only interested in the working of the omit-xml-declaration="yes" parameter, like in the clob.xsl stylesheet, because I have a problem with my own application.

The column description contains an XML document with header and doctype which I would like to get rid of (I need them because i use Xmetal to edit the content of the column description so i can enforce rules).

XSQL 1.0.1.0 (now available on OTN) fixed a bug related to the document demo, so it likely would fix the problem you're seeing. The omit-xml-declaration will only be done if you leave the <?xml-stylesheet?> reference in there.
