Error in BlazeDS 4 clustering (jgroups 2.4.1)

Hi,
I'm trying to upgrade from BlazeDS 3.2 to BlazeDS 4 with clustering jgroups configuration jgroups (2.4.1)
Here's my jgroups-tcp.xml file :
jgroups-tcp.xml
<config>
<TCP bind_addr="server1" start_port="8080" loopback="true" enable_diagnostics="false" />
<TCPPING timeout="3000" initial_hosts="server1[8080], server1[8080]" port_range="3" num_initial_members="2" />
<MERGE2 min_interval="10000" max_interval="20000" />
<FD timeout="6000" max_tries="4" />
<VERIFY_SUSPECT timeout="1500" down_thread="false" up_thread="false" />
<pbcast.NAKACK gc_lag="100" retransmit_timeout="600,1200,2400,4800" />
<pbcast.STABLE stability_delay="1000" desired_avg_gossip="20000" down_thread="false" max_bytes="0" up_thread="false" />
<pbcast.GMS print_local_addr="true" join_timeout="5000" join_retry_timeout="2000" shun="true" />
</config>
when I'm starting server2,  I'm getting following error (witch i don't have with BlazeDS 3.2 ):

I know there is an existing issue(but I don't know it) in LDCS (june 2010) but I don't see anything about Blaze DS...
What's possible to do?
Best Regards
Tehem

Hi Techies,
I got resolved this reported issue on blazeds.
The issue was in the BlazeDS version 4.0.0.14931. To point out exactly, the jar file which had this issue in was flex-messaging-core.jar
You can download the latest blazeds version "4.0.1.21287" from the below mentioned link and use the flex-messaging-core.jar. This version has the classcast exception issue fixed while casting org.jgroups.stack.IpAddress to string in "SubscriptionManager.java:736"

    Hello,
    I'm trying to install a cluster with BlazeDS. After some difficulties, I've reached a point where my 2 servers A and B know each other, and that when a client subscribe on a destination on server A, this server send a message to the server B.
    Unfortunately, this does not work and I've got this error:

  • Error in Accessing Clustered Essbase Application from one server to another

    We had installed the Foundation services, Essbase and Planning of version 11.1.2.1 on one server and Foundation services and Essbase on another server. Then we created a clustered Application on the first server and configured the second server with the first server's Essbase Cluster. But when we try to connect with the application created within the cluster it throws the following error:
    Error: 1042032: Network Error: Unable to detect ESSBASE server listening on IPv4 or IPv6 network protocols on hostname - [EssbaseCluster-1]

    What Robert is saying is that you need to map your production server in order to see it.
    In your Dev EAS console,
    right-click on Essbase Servers
    select Add Essbase Server
    enter in the connection information
    press OK.
    Please be sure to mark the correct and/or any helpful answers.

  • BlazeDS clustering with JBoss AS

    Greetings,
    I'm currently working on a system that uses Adobe Flex 3 and BlazeDS. It works fine in the actual TomCat standalone server, but we got plans to upgrade our infrastructure to a cluster environment running JBoss AS.
    I got really concern when I begin to read many articles and forum posts about BlazeDS issues with clustering.
    Is this a risk to my project ? Should I quit using BlazeDS ?
    Thanks is advance,
    Daniel Cheida

    Hi Mauricio,
    I installed OCMS in JBOSS AS 4.0.5.GA installation mode.I m facing the same problem on ocms startup, i.e., proxyregistrar war file is not deployed properly. OCMS not working properly with JBOSS AS 4.2.1 GA and JBOSS AS 4.2.2 GA too i.e., OCMS MBeans are not shown in the jmx-console page and the oc is not getting connected to the ocms, traffic.log file shows that application proxyregistrar is not found. Please help me out in solving this issue.

    I am using weblogic 10.3 and EJB 3.0 Can I include all the EJBs in a single <weblogic-ejb-jar.xml> file and can I put it in the EAR->EarContent->META-INF folder, where the application.xml and weblogic-application.xml files exist.
    Basically, I am trying to include <initial-beans-in-free-pool> and <stateless-bean-is-clusterable> for each of my EJBs. Since there is no annotation equivalent for them in EJB 3.0, I had to include the <weblogic-ejb-jar.xml> file. I appreciate if anybody can suggest me if there is any annotation equivalent for these.
    Thank you,
    Sowmya

    Hi,
    1. please try with <stateless-bean-is-clusterable>true</stateless-bean-is-clusterable>
    2. the EJB Specification requires "The deployment descriptor must be stored with the name META-INF/ejb-jar.xml in the ejb-jar file." So you shouldn't put the weblogic-ejb-jar.xml to EAR's META-INF folder.
    3. <stateless-bean-is-clusterable> has a default value as "true". so you needn't specify it in your weblogic-ejb-jar.xml if you just want to have the "true" value.
    4. default value of <initial-beans-in-free-pool> is 0. Since you're changing the default value, you'll have to specify it in weblogic-ejb-jar.xml. If you can put all EJBs in one ejb jar file, you can have only one weblogic-ejb-jar.xml in the META-INF folder of this ejb jar.
    Thanks,
    Amy

  • Adminui - Error 500 in clustered environment

    Hi, i'm Alessandro from Italy, and i have a problem in a clustered environment. This is my topology:
    2 servers Red Hat AS4
    2 Websphere Application Server 6.1 (fix 23) + 1 Websphere Deployment Manager 6.1 (fix 23)
    2 Ibm Http Server (fix 23)
    On this cluster i've deployed LiveCycle ES 8.2.1 SP2 using the Configuration Manager without any problem (all steps validated etc etc)
    After the deploy i've re-generated the xml plugin, and set up the gemfire locator (on both nodes).
    Now i have this problem:
    If i try to connect to the adminui directly on a node, all works fine (http://hostname1:9080/adminui or http://hostname2:9080/adminui)
    If i try to connect to the adminui using the http server (http://hostname1/adminui or http://hostname2/adminui) i get an error 500 and this exception in the SystemOut.log:

  • Apache HTTPd + 2 Tomcats with BlazeDS

    The web architecture that we have is quite simple, it is a single Apache HTTPd server that is communicating with 2 Tomcat servers using mod_jk. The configuration is made so one Tomcat is in a waiting state in case the other Tomcat server crashes (or bounce).
    How can I configure BlazeDS to support this configuration? Is sharing the HTTPSession between the two Tomcats enough for BlazeDS?
    I would like the simplest solution possible, I know about BlazeDS clustering possibilities with JGroups but it seems not adapted to multi-environments (DEV/QA/PROD) sites because we have to configure stuff inside the web app.
    In short, do BlazeDS only need HTTPSession sharing between Tomcats or is there some other requirements?

    As far as my understanding goes there should be no reason to use JGroups unless you are using messaging.
    If you are storing session data on the server you will need to using Tomcat clustering other wise you shouldn't even need that.
    We are using a similar setup with HTTPd and multiple JBoss servers for high availability/scalability. We are not using messaging so we didn't configure JGroups. We don't have JBoss clustering enabled because we don't have any data to replicate between the JBoss nodes.
    I have run several load tests using JMeter and everything runs happily when JBoss nodes are added or removed under load.
    Something to note if you are using recent builds of BlazeDS and you want to run 2 or more Tomcat servers concurrently you will need to enable Sticky Sessions with mod_jk and Tomcat other wise recent builds of BlazeDS may start throwing exceptions. This change was introduced to prevent subsequent client requests from needlessly creating new sessions. As it turns out this is a bit of an issue when doing loadbalancing unless Sticky Sessions are used.
    Hope some of that information helps,
    Lance

    I am modifying the correct httpd.conf file on the server, it just doesn't seem to work. - If I put the rewrite rules in the <Directory /> the rewrite works but it adds /Library/WebServer/Documents to the URL.
    I also tried putting the rewrite rules in <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> but that did not work either.
    mod_rewrite is enabled and running on the server.
    I will post the rewrite rules again in the code brackets. Sorry for the long post. - If some one can try them out on their Leopard Server to see if they can get them to work, it would be much appreciated. Again, these work on my Leopard Client but I can't get them to work on Server.
    -- The httpd.conf file posted above is just the default conf file found in /private/etc/apache2/
