Error in BPM Scenario

hi,
Using a BPM scenario (File->File). In SXMB_MONI the status of the process is showing "Scheduled for Outbound Processing", with a green flag associated with it. How would I go about troubleshooting this error? Have checked SM58 and made sure all the queues are registered and activated. Also no messages show up in SXMB_MONI_BPE. Could you please guide on how to proceed?
regards,
SK

Hi
Have a look at the following links, even though they are not specific to your scenario, they give you some good hints on troubleshooting and where to look.

  • BPM Scenario: Message has error status on outbound side

    Hi All,
I am doing one BPM scenario. In my scenario i am collecting 12 different type of idocs in BPM and bundling these idocs and sending these to the 12 different files.
If i send 12 idocs from the R/3 then my scenario is working perfectly fine. If i send less than the 12 idocs that time i am getting the error message as "Message has error status on outbound side" with red flag.
Can you please explain what minght be the problem. I have already checked in SM58,SMQ1 and SMQ2.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Purushotham

    Hi Nutan,
I hv configured my scenario as follows
    1. Start
    2. Block ( Deadline and Control step for cancell the process)
       3. Fork(Necessary branches 12)
          4. Loop(12 loops)
              Under loop
              a. Receive Step
              b. Container Operation( For count)
              c. Container Operation(For append)
    5. Fork( Necessary branches 12)
        6. Transformation
        7. Send
    8 Stop
This is my scenario. In the first Fork step i am checking end condition as total  number of idocs is reached then i am sending all the data to the target system. If the idocs are not reaching with in 1 hour then i am cancelling the process.
Now can you please tell me what is the problem.

  • File to RFC with multiple records using BPM Scenario Error...!!!

    Hello Guru's,
I have done the File to RFC with multiple records using BPM scenario as per the Materiel available in the sdn.sap. This involves BAPI (BAPI_MATERIEL_AVAILABILITY). I have done exactly the same what is their in the materiel. SXI_CACHE is also giving return value " 0 ". File is getting deleted from the source directory, but no file in target directory. SXMB_MONI is also showing no error (black Flag). BPM is also error free. Checked the interfaces also.
Can any one tell me what mistake would i have done.
    Thanks in advance.

  • How to catch SAP application errors in BPM.

    Hi,
I have a IDOC to Soap Sync Scenario where I send the message to a Webservice. I have used a BPM since we need to catch the resposne of this message and map it to a RFC. For ex if I get a success resposne I need to map success if not than I need to catch the error and map it to the RFC. Now here in some cases like if the target system (webservice) is down than XI raises a sap application error:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes" ?>
    - <!--  Inbound Message
      -->
    - <SAP:Error xmlns:SAP="http://sap.com/xi/XI/Message/30" xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" SOAP:mustUnderstand="1">
      <SAP:Category>XIAdapterFramework</SAP:Category>
      <SAP:Code area="MESSAGE">GENERAL</SAP:Code>
      <SAP:P1 />
      <SAP:P2 />
      <SAP:P3 />
      <SAP:P4 />
      <SAP:AdditionalText>com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.DeliveryException: Connection refused (errno:239)</SAP:AdditionalText>
      <SAP:ApplicationFaultMessage namespace="" />
      <SAP:Stack />
      <SAP:Retry>M</SAP:Retry>
      </SAP:Error>
Normally XI stops the process in these cases and does not proceed to the next step but I need to catch this message and map the content in the AdditionalText to the target RFC. Can anyone let me know how to catch this SAP Application Error in BPM and map it to the RFC.
    Thanks,
    Bhargav

    Hi Gaurav,
As I have mentioned I need to catch the application error in the BPM. If you see the discussion that is mentioned after the blog you have mentioned it is stated that the fault messages or the application error cannot be caught in BPM.
In the blog that you stated we can catch the fault message and map it to a message structure but only to that extent after that it would stop the BPM process at that step but would not proceed further as shown in the screenshot given in the blog it would fail as "application error restart not possible".
I need to proceed further and capture this error to an RFC Structure and call a proxy.
Here after the error it does not proceed to the next step.
    Thanks,
    Bhargav

  • Error in BPM (No receiver agreement found from sender to bpm)

    Hi all
In a simple bpm scenario, I am getting a error that No receiver agreement found for sender service to bpm integration process.
    What might be the reason?

    your configuration should like this.
say u are doing File to File using BPM
    File to BPM
    then BPM to File.
so u need to create RD where sender is fileservice  and receiver is BPM.
second u hav to create another RD where BPM is sender and Fileserviceis receiver.
    So there should be
    one Sender Ag
    two RD
    two ID
    one RA.
    Thanks

  • HTTP time out Error in BPM.....

    Hi
    Error Description:
We have created a Sync-Async Bridge BPM scenario in XI.
In the BPM scenario we are calling the web service, and if the response from the web service is an error message then we have retry in a loop up to 24 times after wait for every 1 min.
We are sending the data to the web service using a proxy created in the R/3 system.
We are getting the time out error in the R/3 system.
We have changed the following parameters in XI.
In SXMB_ADM of XI we have set the value for the following parameter.
    Category                      parameter                                                                    current value
    SA_COMM                    CHECK_FOR_ASYNC_RESPONSE_TIMEOUT                120
In SXMB_ADM of R/3 we have set the value for the following parameter.
    Category                      parameter                                                                    current value
    RUNTIME                      HTTP_TIMEOUT                                                            120
When we put the value as 120 for the above parameters and we try for 2 times in the BPM process, then it is sending the response back to the R/3 system after completing the whole BPM process.
But when we increase the no of retries in the BPM process then it is not sending the response back to the R/3 system in the same way, at that time we are getting the error in SXMB_MONI of R/3 system as given below.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes" ?>
    -   <!--
        Inbound Message
      -->
    - <SAP:ErrorHeader xmlns:SAP="http://sap.com/exchange/MessageFormat">
      <SAP:Context />
      <SAP:Code p1="500" p2="Timeout" p3="" p4="">HTTP.HTTP_STATUS_CODE_NEQ_OK</SAP:Code>
      <SAP:Text language="EN">HTTP status code 500 : Timeout</SAP:Text>
      </SAP:ErrorHeader>
Please provide the solution for the same.
    Many Thanks

    Hi Prateek,
Thanks for your replay. I am able to open the URL from XI/PI.
I tried by testing the same URL by using XI 3.0, its working fine and i am getting required data, but in PI 7.1 i am getting an error.
    Error is:
    In MONI:

    In RWB:
Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: connect
    What could be the reason?

    Hi,
I am working on RFC-TO-Webservice scenario(Synchronous) and I am using the BPM in this scenario.

Send - Asynchrous send step (to send the response to the file...).
When I sent my RFC message from R/3 I am getting following error.

  • Error in BPM: "COMMUNICATION FAILURE" during JCo call. Error opening an RFC

    hello experts
i am receiving the above error incase of BPM scenario where i am having a Transform step and synchronous RFC step.
i referred to the few threads discussing such problems and was trying to find whether my mapping is correct and i tested my mappings using my payload which looks good.
When looked into the Mapping trace of the BPM "Show container" i found error ""COMMUNICATION FAILURE" during JCo call. Error opening an RFC connection" and it seems that when BPM is attempting to call interface mapping it is throwing this error.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    rajeev

    hi,
I think no problen with the mapping part,
jco connection requird when xi try to stablish the connection with the adapter .
    please look the link provided.
Setup and test SAP Java Connector outbound connection
please also check the following parameter at the exchange profile
    com.sap.aii.rwb.server.centralmonitoring.r3.ashost
    com.sap.aii.rwb.server.centralmonitoring.r3.client
    com.sap.aii.rwb.server.centralmonitoring.r3.sysnr
    com.sap.aii.rwb.server.centralmonitoring.httpport
these parameter must be given properly.
if every thing is ok than and problem still exist than try to restart the system.
for us after restarting its worked fine.

  • Webservice response in BPM scenario

I am doing a BPM scenario where I take data from ERP asynchronously using proxy and send it as a request to a third party synchronous webservice. The webservice gives a response and I am using the response to send it further along to other systems.
Everything works fine if correct messages are sent and received. The problem starts when PI/BPM receives an un-expected response from the webservice. If the webservice sends an unknown error message in the response, the mapping fails and goes into the error queue. (smq2)
And the real problem is every successful message or response after that also goes into the same queue and getting stuck. Why is this happenning? Do we need to monitor and clear the error queues all the time so that subsequent successful messages go through BPM corrrectly?
Do you guys think it is a cache problem or something else?
    Thank you.

this is because there is no proper error handling in your BPM.
you need to handle the exceptions in case of mapping or communication failures.

  • File to RFC to File with BPM Scenario

    Hi all,
I am trying to implement a Sender File ( async )  to RFC (sync ) to Receiver File with a BPM. I using the blog  https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/1926. [original link is broken] But it doesn’t work.  First message FileRequestOut is correct in SXMB-MONI, but the second is showing a error. I checked in SXMB-MONI-BPE and I say in workitem is follow message:
    Message Error Workflow
‘ Error handling for work item 000000001714
Work item 000000001714: Object CL_SWF_XI_MSG_BROKER method SEND_SYNCHRON cannot be executed
No reference message specified when sending a response
No reference message specified when sending a response’
I configured my BPM scenario in this way:
      ( Sender File Adapter )
      First Step
      Receiver Step ( Asynchronous )
      Mode:  Asynchronous
      Receive Message: File Request
      ( Receiver RFC Adapter )
      Second Step
      Send Step ( Synchronous )
      Mode: Synchronous
      Request Message: File Request
      Response Message: File Response
      Receiver From: Send Context
      ( Receiver File Adapter )
      Third Step
      Send Step (Asynchronous )
      Mode:  Asynchronous
      Receive Message: File Response
      Receiver From: Send Context
I have changed it, many times and I can get solve it.  About my configuration objects, I think it is ok, because a tested my Interfaces in Configuration Test Tools it was ok. ( Receiver Det. Interface Mapping, etc…)
I have seen in SDN, this error maybe Sencond Step must be Synchronous e  Third Step must be Synchronous too. Is it true? In other hand, I have seen, it is possible to use a Async / Sync Brigde.
Could you help me about this problem?

  • Help on PL_TIMEOUT error in BPM

    Hi
I am trying a BPM scenario (SOAP-RFC Synchronous communication), where I have to call a sequence of BAPI's.  I am laying out the whole scenario over here.
    Sender: Web Service
    Receiver: SAP R/3 System
I have a webservice which acts as a sender system and I have to call two BAPI's for which I am using BPM.  Here I have to get the result from the 2nd BAPI and send the result as a response back to the Webservice.
I have designed the BPM like below:
    1. Receiver Step:
                              mode: Sync/Async Bridge open
                              msg: webservice request
Synchronous Interface: Abs Sync WebService (Req and Res)
    2. Transformation:
Interface Mapping: Abstr Async Webservice req and BAPI 1 request
Source Msg: Abs Async Web Service Request
Target Msg: Abs Async BAPI1 Request
    3. Send Synchronous:
                      Mode: Synchronous
Synchronous Interface: Abstract Sync BAPI 1 (Req and Res)
Request Message: Astract Async BAPI 1 Request
Response Message: Abstract Async BAPI 1 Response
    4. Transformation:
Interface Mapping: Abs Async BAPI1 Response and
                                                   Abs Async BAPI 2 Request
Source Message: Abstr Async BAPI 1 Response
Target Message: Abstr Async BAPI 2 Request
    5. Send Synchronous:
                      Mode: Synchronous
Synchronous Interface: Abstract Synchr BAPI 2
Request Message: Abstr Async BAPI 2 Req
Response Message: Absrt Async BAPI 2 Res
    6.  Transformation:
Interface Mapping: Abstr Async BAPI 2 Response and
                                                Abstr Async Web Service Response
Source Message: Abstr Async BAPI 2 Response
Target Message: Abstr Async Web Service Response
    7, Send:
                  Mode: closes Sync Async Bridge
Message: Abstr Async Web Service Response
I have configured two adapters, once is SOAP and the othr RFC.  In the RFC communication channel, I have checked the option of committing the BAPI.
Now when I test this scenario with XML spy, it gives me an error saying PL_TIMEOUT.  FYI, cache refresh is upto date and also message are coming into the BPM.
Could anybody please let me know, whether its a problem with design of the BPM or anything else need to be checked?
    Thanks,
    Suma

might be the issue will be with the response mapping.

  • Block1 (No agent)  Error  in BPM  ?

    Hi friends ,
I am  trying the  the BPM scenario   using Integration Process
    BpmPatternCollectTime
from SAP BASIS ® SAP BASIS 7.00 in the namespace http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/Patterns
I have done the scenario like the above . I have followed all the Steps which are used in above scenario.
I am using a File Sender Adapter and Receiver Adapter .
It is Successfully picked up the File but nothing is happening after that .
I am using two receiver Determination one from Ob to IP and other from IP to FIleReceiver ( IB) .
But, I am Getting error as Block1 (No agent) Error in the PE graphical diagram
I have checked in SWWL my Integration Process Return code is "0"
Can you please tell tell me how to solve this ?
Can you please tell me this scenario is like Multiple Purchase Order Items to One Purchase Order
Here they have given ID adn OverAllNumber . For ex. In one xml file I am sending
    ID as A100
    OverAllNumber as 120
next 5 minutes putting the another file with contents
    ID as A100
    OverAllNumber as 130
    My Question is
Will TWO files wiil come as Output in File Receiver ?
I  am Clear in this please give some suggestions

    Hi,
             Thanks for your reply.
<i>       once the files are connected in the transformation step you will use a N:1 mappping.</i>
Yes , i have done as same .   I have set deadline as 15 minutes .
    My doubt is
                        <b> if   N:1  </b>
    <b>First File</b>
    ID as A100
    OverAllNumber as 120
next 5 minutes putting the another file with contents
    <b>SecondFile</b>
    ID as A100
    OverAllNumber as 130
<b>  Then  what will be the  output ?
                   will it be like this
                   ID as A100
                   OverAllNumber as 130</b>
I am not clear in this Please tell me !
If possible please give some suggestion  to clear this Block1 (No agent) Error in BPM ?
