this code is of the book "The Java Native Interface Programmer's Guide and Specification"
#include <jni.h>
#include <stdio.h>
#include "IntArray.h"
JNIEXPORT jint JNICALL
Java_IntArray_sumArray(JNIEnv *env, jobject obj, jintArray arr)
    jint *carr;
    jint i, sum = 0;
    carr = (*env)->GetIntArrayElements(env, arr, NULL);
    if (carr == NULL) {
        return 0; /* exception occurred */
    for (i=0; i<10; i++) {
        sum += carr;
(*env)->ReleaseIntArrayElements(env, arr, carr, 0);
return sum;
when I compile this code I get the following error:
C:\Dev-Cpp\IntArray.c In function `jint Java_IntArray_sumArray(JNIEnv*, _jobject*, _jintArray*)':

I have not changed nothing in the code. what is the problem? someone could help me?

As a guess you are compiling it as C++. But it is written as C.

  • Error while compiling apps code

    HI,
    I m getting error when compiling package in apps.My pkg is as such:
    Create or replace package body pkg1 --specification is created
    Is
    Proc1 (p1 OUT number,P2 OUT Varchar2)
    AS
    Proc2 (p1 OUT number,P2 OUT Varchar2)
    AS
    Proc3 (retcode out number,errbuf out Varchar2)
    --calling proc1 and proc2 here
    proc1;
    proc2;
    End pkg1;
    Getting error "Wrong number of argument passed to procedure".
    So,plse tell me what to pass in Proc1,Proc2 within Proc3 as it will nt accept OUT parameter here.
    I m calling package in this way (pkg1.Proc3) in apps.
    Plse tell me abt this as i knw it is very basic.
    Thnks,
    KJ

    You are not passing the parameters to proc1 and 2 while calling. Try this
    Create or replace package body pkg1 --specification is created
    Is
    Proc1 (p1 OUT number,P2 OUT Varchar2)
    AS
    Proc2 (p1 OUT number,P2 OUT Varchar2)
    AS
    Proc3 (retcode out number,errbuf out Varchar2)
    AS
    --calling proc1 and proc2 here
    ln_retcode number := null;
    lv_errbuf varchar2(2000) := null;
    begin
    proc1(ln_retcode,lv_errbuf);
    ln_retcode := null;
    lv_errbuf := null;
    proc2(ln_retcode,lv_errbuf);
    END Proc3;
    End pkg1;

    Hi Todd/Ed,
    We have one more doubt on which we need your help..
    We are using AIX 6.1,Oracle 11g and all are 64 bit. MFCOBOL which we are using is 32 bit.While compling the code we are switching to 64 bit by using the command cobmode -s 64 and trying to run tuxbuild all+ command and we are encountering the errors which i have metioned in my earlier posts.
    As vac.cfg file was missing we copied older versions as vac.cfg and tried to complie the codes again.we encountered the following error.
    "BS-710b2.c", line 128.10: 1506-296 (S) #include file "mainexit.h" not found.
    cob64: error(s) in C compilation: BS-710b2.c
    so we added a script mainexit.h with cobinit() function declaration in the current directory.
    As we tried with tuxbuild all command we are facing this error.

  • Linker error when compiling Fortran code

    I have some problems when linking a Fortran program. The compiling (with gfortran) works without problems and produces (amongst others) several ".mod" files. As soon as the products are to be linked, these .mod-files provoke a "bad magic number (not a Mach-O file)" error from the linker.
    I use gcc 4.3 with gfortran. Any ideas?

    The .mod files are (at least in this case) the compiler products of source files with an .F90 extension (in contrast to source files with the lowercase .f90). I have to admit that I'm not very much into Fortran (I'm just trying to get this thing compiled), but the source files are actually treated differently depending on the lowercase or uppercase extension. I have read somewhere, what the precise difference is, but I cannot neither remember this right now nor find this again.

  • Understanding compile errors due to copying code from a doc file and not a txt file

    SITUATION:
    My instructor for my micro-controller class refuses to save sample code to a text file and instead saves it to a word document file instead. When I open up the doc file and copy/paste the code into my IDE "CodeWarrior" it causes errors upon compile time.
    I am having to rewrite all the code into a text editor and then copy/paste it into my IDE.
    MY UNDERSTANDING:
    I was told to always save code as a text file because when you save code as a word document file it will bring in unwanted characters when your copy/pasting the code into your IDE for compiling.
    Their are students in my class using the schools computers running "Windows" that copied and pasted the code into CodeWarrior and it compiled fine. This is not only frustrating but confusing. However, I know their are students in class with "PC's" running windows that had the same trouble I did so I know it's not a Mac issue.
    Also I am running "Parallels" because my IDE for this micro-controller "Code Warrior" is not avaiable for my OS. I realize there are several IDE's out there that require "Windows OS" in general but I know this situation is not a Mac issue or Parallels issue or even a Windows issue. It's purly an issue of formatting that is done between the file being copied and the target program or so I'm understanding.
    Can someone exlain to me in better words or perhaps provide a resource, documentation or article that will enlighten me on this issue. I would like to better state my case next time. I'm tired of being told this is a MAC issue and that Windows is just plain better.

    The problem is (as you suggest) almost certainly a gremlin issue - characters that for one reason or another Code Warrior cannot interpret correctly. Why it happens to you and not others is a different matter. That could mean that the pofessor uses fonts that are not on your machine, or that he is using a different version of word, or it could be in how you access the data. For instance, if the prof posts this word doc on the web you may get different results if you download the file and open it in Word as opposed to opening it directly from a web browser.
    The sure-fire solution is to download TextWrangler and copy the code in there first. TW has a number of tools for finding and removing unpleasant characters. it adds a step, but... you could also try resaving the doc file as a plain text file from within word.

  • Compile error in hidden module: Essbaselogon. This error commonly occurs when code is incompatible with the version, Platform, or architecture of this application

    Hi,
    I am getting below wrror while accesing the Ecel:
    compile error in hidden module: Essbaselogon. This error commonly occurs when code is incompatible with the version, Platform, or architecture of this application

    IIRC essbase is a financial reporting add-in (Hyperion, or something similar?).
    This message is telling you that the add-in is not compatible with your current software. You should check with the vendor who provided the essbase add-in. Tell them what version of windows and Excel (and maybe Hyperion) you are using, and get a compatible
    version from them...
    If you do not need or run essbase/hyperion/etc then you should just remove/disable the add-in. If it doesn't show in your add-in menu, then you may have to do a repair installation or re-install Excel

  • Parse errors in ib_linux.h when I try to compile C code for GPIB in Linux.

    Keep getting parse errors starting at line 63 of ib_linux.h when I try to compile C code linked
    to the drivers. Using ver 0.6 driver, compiling using gcc name.c cib.o -o name, and I have
    ugpib.h as an include in the c code. The Linux box currently has the 2.2 kernel running.
    Any ideas?

    Hello-
    It shouldn't be necessary to compile by hand. After the 0.6 driver is untarred, there should be an INSTALL script to run. Be sure to "su" to have root permissions before running this script. It may also be necessary to "chmod" the INSTALL file before doing a "./INSTALL"

  • Errors compiling AS3 code - seeking advice please

    Hi,
    I am trying to run this AS code from wonderfl.net:
    http://wonderfl.net/c/9Lit/
    I have downloaded the right files to ensure this works:
    import net.wonderfl.utils.FontLoader;
    import com.bit101.components.*;
    But when I compile the code in an AS3 project in Flash CS4, I get a tonne of errors shown in the image below.
    I can't find much info on the wonderfl site, and the author is japanese, and I can't get through to his site to ask for advice.
    Might the errors be because the code is for Flash Player 11?
    I'm really keen to work on this code, but have hit a big brick wall.
    Any help much appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    The code creates the effect shown here:
    http://wonderfl.net/c/9Lit/
    It doesn't do anything "useful" - it's just a nice effect, where it loops through the letters in some text and generates a pretty swirly pattern for each one.
    On the page above, click on the play button in the right-hand window, and that will run the SWF that is generated by the AS on the left hand side.
    I guess it means that the AS on the left hand side isn't actually correct, since when running it in flash, it doesn't work.
    I zipped up the source files I used when working on the code in case you want a peek:

  • Error while running compiled java code

    Hi
    I have an evaluation license of the JDeveloper2.0 installed on my WindowsNT 4.0 workstation.
    I seem to have a problem running my compiled jave code. After compiling the source code(.java file) when I try to run the same I get a message saying
    "<FileName> not found in outpath classpath or sourcepath ".
    What does this mean and how can I rectify it?
    Regards

    Your classpath tells Java run time where to look for the class files it needs. In JDeveloper the class path is set in your project properties. Select Project->Properties and check that the source and output paths correspond to your myprojects and myclasses directories.

  • Error in compiling Flex application: 64K byte limit

    Hi experts ,
    While deploying the VC model , i m getting this error :
    Error in compiling Flex application: Error: A function in the code exceeds the 64K byte limit (actual size = '65557'). Since the problem occurs in the compiler-generated deferred instantiation code, please refactor/componentize portions of this document.
          (/usr/sap/NW2/JC00/j2ee/cluster/server0/GUIMachine_Business_Packages/Contribution_Margin_36461/FLEX_COMPILATION_FOLEDR/AAD15VY.mxml:19)
    Failed to compile AAD15VY.mxml
    Could any one help me out in solving this issue ..its urgent ...
    Your suggestions will be rewarded.
    Thanks,
    Pratima

    You have to remove few components from your model to decrease the compiler generated LOC.
    Check the following link for detailed solution:
    https://websmp130.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=936390
    Taken from SAP Notes:
    <i>Solution
    Doing the following may help:
    1.Divide problematic iViews into a number of nested iViews.
    2.Optimize each model to reduce the number of elements that it
      contains:
      a.Reduce the number of signals by merging signals of the same name.
      b.When your application updates forms with read-only fields, use
        expression boxes and a data store instead of signals.
      c.Minimize the use of animations in your models, including form
        sliding and chart animation effects
      d.Use a data store to store variables, instead of invisible forms.
        To display messages, use a simple text rather than a static dynamic
        expression.
    3.For on-the-spot, temporary workarounds, you can try dragging an empty
      layer onto the Design board. This sometimes solves the problem ad
      hoc, but is not recommended as a best practice.

  • Error in compiling flex - 64K limit

    Hi folks,
    I entered a new dimension in the flex compiling error dimension (see error-message below). Can anybody help me? I'm familiar with the 32K-problem ( and do have functional workarounds for that) but this one is a new one for me.
    regards,
    Martin
    Error in compiling Flex application: Error: A function in the code exceeds the 64K byte limit (actual size = '66289'). Since the problem occurs in the compiler-generated deferred instantiation code, please refactor/componentize portions of this document.

    Hi Marcel,
    infortunately I'm not allowed atm to make the model public.
    however, I circeled the problem and found a workaround. It has nothing to do with our "old pal 32K", this time it simply was a (sub-)model too large to get deployed (problem with the to-build XML-pakages.)
    Background on this: It's a nested iview collecting a lot of data from different parts of a highliy complex model to process an RFC. For monitoring reasons I've switched some of the tables to visible and that acutally caused the error. After hiding the colums the error vanished. (actually was replaced by the 32K error. But that's like meeting an old friend, no problem any more....)
    I'm looking forward to sharing the model some time. Would be interesting to get some feedback from the comunity..
    regards,
    Martin

  • Error in compiling flex compilation

    Hi,
    I recieve following log message after deploying my application:
    Error in compiling Flex application:
    Error: Branch between 8479 and 41869 around line 0 exceeds 32K span.
    If possible, please refactor this component.
    Failed to compile AAD8T3.mxml
    The only thing I know is the iView that has code AAD8T3, so I suppose the error is in it.
    But what is the error and what are the objects it relates to?
    Thanks,
    Yulia

    Hi
    This is solved for Flex2, the up comming version of VC does not have this problem, but release dates for it are not set.
