Hi All,
When I try to drop any of the table in one of the oracle 10G database schema
I am getting the following error.
As for I know this error will come in PL/SQL cursor block if the exact fetch returns more than one row.
Can any one explained the reason for this...

Thanks in advance..

You can't used directly a DDL statment.
But you can use an EXECUTE IMMEDIATE in your process.
SO
BEGIN
EXECUTE IMMEDIATE ' DROP TABLE STATPHI_595730051';
END;

Hi
I'm following the CBT Nuggets SQL Fundementals training (video #11) and cannot drop a table I have just created. The command executed and error are:

*Action: If the situation described in the next error on the stack
can be corrected, do so; otherwise contact Oracle Support.
As the HR user I created two tables and created a FK constraint between them. After truncating the table with this FK, I am unable to drop it. Even if I remove the FK, the error is the same. Issing the command in SQL*Plus gives the same error.
This is the first time I have created any tables since installing Oracle on this machine and is my first attempt at dropping a table. I have not created any sequences, triggers or views based on these newly created tables.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi All,
i got an error while dropping a table which is
ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [kghstack_free1], [kntgmvm: collst], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], []
i know learnt that -600 error is related to dba. now how to proceed.
thanks and regards,
sri ram.00600 errors should be raised as service request with Oracle as it implies some internal bug.
You can search oracle support first to see if anyone has had the same class of 00600 error, and then if not (and therefore no patch) raise your issue with Oracle.

Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.2.0 - 64bit Production
When I tried to drop a table, I got 600 error:

I guess this is because it had a parent table, which I dropped (I used "drop table <parent_table>", and it did not give me error, very strange).

Try to drop FK constraints yields the same error.
So now how can I drop this table table, any work around?
Thanks.This is a bug. There is no Patch avaialble for this yet. This error is seen where recyclebin is enabled. Possible workaround is to disable the recyclebin.
This happens with the dictionary corruption due to inconsistency between obj$ and seg$.
This is a correct answer but still i would suggest to contact Oracle support. -

ORA-20123 is a localized/customized error code & message; therefore any solution depends upon what is unique inside your DB now.
I suspect that some sort of TRIGGER exists, which throws posted error, but this is just idle speculation on my part.
How do I ask a question on the forums?

Drop Table, User, Drop * ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1
Greetingss,
Installed 11.2.0.1 several months ago and upgraded to 11.2.0.2 a month ago without issues. However prior to upgrade I was able to drop schema objects. Since upgrade I do not recall specifically dropping any objects. However, now trying to drop a few objects and discovered all drops attempted are failing, i.e. tables, packages, users, function, views, directories, etc. Create or Replace and Alter all appear to still work.

Why APEX 4.1 Error handling function does not trap the error of missing table?
Say, I create simple application with single IR report page and I also assign standard simple error handling function.
Function works perfectly, except but this case:
If I just drop a table used by report page and then refresh the page I am getting usual APEX error message:
ORA-20001: get_dbms_sql_cursor error ORA-00942: table or view does not exist
and error handling function is not invoked at all.
Is this a feature or a bug?Hi,
Check the corrections given in the note 990764:
Reason and Prerequisites
Up to now, using a characteristic with its own master data read class as the InfoProvider was not supported. This is now released but it is not available for all modelings. Using the attributes in the query is not supported for characteristics that have their own master data read class. Using the attributes in the query causes a termination. The following errors may occur in this case:
ORA-00942: table or view does not exist

Solution
SAP NetWeaver 2004s BI

if @TypeOfUpdate='Reset'
Begin
exec('Drop table '+ @DestinationTable+';
select * into [' + @DestinationTable + ']
from openrowset(''Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0'', ''Excel 12.0;HDR=YES;Database=' +
@TABLENAME + ''', ' + ''' select * from '+@SourceSheet + ''')')
PRINT 'Congratulations!!!! Database is Reset.';.......
